After a long wait we finally get to see our favorite Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man back on the big screen in a big way with "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." Vinny and I discuss the movie in depth and share our thoughts about it.

SPEAKER_00

Hello and welcome to Current Cinema, the spin-off of Poppet Cinema where we talk about movies that are currently in the theaters. I am here with Vinny, and we are going to talk about one of the biggest movies of the year, Spider-Man Brand New Day. It's directed by uh Dustin uh Dustin Daniel Crudden, stars obviously Tom Holland, Zend, John Burnthal, Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo, Marsa Tomey, and Jacket Battalone. Um, before we start, this is gonna be uh talk about the movie in depth. So this is all spoiler territory. So if you haven't seen it yet, I have seen this five times. Yeah, I've contributed to a lot of that billion dollar uh in five-day making, so I should probably own rights to the company by now.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, so this will be spoilers. Um, we're gonna talk deep about the movie, the characters, the background, the um go through the movie, just everything about it. So before we talk about the movie though, I'm gonna give us some fun facts about it. Uh, the film is dedicated to the memory of the comic book writer Jerry Conway, the co-creator of The Punisher, who first appeared on the Amazing Spider-Man comic 129 in 1974. Wow. So The Punisher, the first time you see him on in comics is with Spider-Man.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Is that why um they did a lot of like comic book poses? Yeah, like the pictures they recreated them. Oh, yeah, they do a lot of like the That was sweet. That was sweet.

SPEAKER_00

I got it. I saw the behind the scenes of that. Yeah, I gotta get that. So that's oh god, there's so much to talk about this movie. I love it. I can't wait to do that. Um, when Peter Parker walks to the store to buy flowers in the beginning of the movie, you can see Barrow on the on one of the shelves. This is Tom Holland's own brand of non-alcoholic beer.

SPEAKER_02

Interesting. Like non-alcoholic beer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, when he's talking to the detective and he's like picking through things, um, it's like the creamer, and like right next to it is the barrow cans. Yeah. Yeah, non-alcoholic beer, so I don't know what's the point of that, honestly. Uh the scrunchie worn by Sarah Gray is distinctly green and yellow. This is the same color scheme as Gene Gray's original costume in the X-Men comics.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Uh also in the film Olivia Booth Ford to play Sarah is playing Sadie Cinc's older sister. In reality, uh Cinc is eight years older than Booth Ford. I saw that. Yeah. You know, she looks she does look older though. Yeah. Sadie Sink is good at passing for like teenager. Yeah, she is. She has a baby face still. Oh yeah. Um you played have you ever played the games? Spider-Man?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like the um yeah, the new ones. Uh there are several references to the game in the movie. Not only were the action sequences and camera work strongly influenced by the games, there are a few Easter eggs uh easily recognizable to gamers. Uh the tank from the early movie chase sequence and the stun batons used by damage control throughout the film were both taken directly from the games. When Peter meets with Elena in her bathhouse office, he's made to strip down to his mask and box of reefs, and this costume design was inspired by one of Spider-Man's video game skins.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I mean, I figured they did that on purpose.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, despite John Bernthal having a clause which he'd only portray the Punisher in dark and gritty stories to honor the character as much as possible, he made a special exemption for this film since he has a legitimate fan of Tom Holland and his portrayal of Spider-Man. The two of them even helped each other out for their respective audition tapes for Marvel, with Burnthal being the one to suggest Holland do a backflip to impress the executives, thus netting him the role of Spider-Man. And it also helps that the character have long history together in the comics. Like I said, Punisher was first introduced in Spider-Man.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So they've been friends for a while. It's like when they both did their auditions, they like collaborated on it.

SPEAKER_02

That's pretty sweet. I mean, and they both were in the Odyssey together, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Yeah. And Zendaya. Yeah. The three of them were making bang. I know. I saw and then Florence, uh, Florence Pew Pew was in this, and this is gonna be in Dune 3 and Avengers Doomsday, so yeah, again.

SPEAKER_02

I love that she was in this. Oh my gosh, it was so I wasn't expecting it because they didn't give any.

SPEAKER_00

I heard about it because I was I wasn't spoiled, but this was like one of the rumors online. They're like, oh, Yelena's in this and she gets naked with Tom Holland. Like, okay, I the first part makes sense, but naked? No, but then yeah, I'm like, oh kinda. Yeah. Uh so in uh Professor Banner's class, there's a girl named Cindy who asked a question about Thanos. Um she's appeared in other Spider-Man films, including Homecoming and Avengers Infinity War. Uh being of Asian descent, this could be referenced to Cindy Moon, who in the comics gets bit by the same radar spider as Spider-Man and becomes the superhero Silk.

SPEAKER_02

Huh.

SPEAKER_00

So there's always like East Rig.

SPEAKER_02

I wonder. I mean, do you think they're gonna make that?

SPEAKER_00

I mean I was telling my friend yesterday, like, even if Tom Holland decides to like put up, give up the Spider-Man thing, yeah. You got Miles Morales. I mean, Miles Morales, everyone wants a Miles Morales Miles Morales movie. Yeah. That movie's gonna make banged to when that ever when they were gonna do that. You got Spider Gwen or Ghost Spider, you got Spider-Man 2049, you get that um Artemis Chow's uh superior Spider-Man, you got so many, like the like I mean, enter the Spider-Verse, you encounter so many different Spider-Man that I mean this is good, it can go on for and Andrew Garfield will return in a third movie years from now.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. He will just for money purposes, yeah. And everybody will go watch it. It might suck, but everybody will go watch it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I love how Far From Home like retconned his own character because when he did the first two Spider-Man movies, like people didn't like him. Yeah. But then we watched Far From Home, we're like, he's the best Spider-Man. I'm like, where were we all at before?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Uh the voice of Evie, who is Peter's artificial intelligence computer, comes from Oscar nominee Naomi Watts, who is best known for her role in the horror movie The Ring.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, she's also portrayed, she's also played mother to a young Tom Holland in her Oscar-nominated film The Impossible.

SPEAKER_02

That's kind of nuts.

SPEAKER_00

Right? Yeah. For such a like um that's another thing too that Marvel does is they cast like these big name people for such small things. Yeah. Like for with her and this, and then um I mean Paul Betney was the voice of Jarvis until it became Vision.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I mean, what what happened to uh Friday? Um I remember the whole thing with Mysterio happened and like when the glasses were transferred between the two.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that wasn't Friday. That was Evie? Eevee, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

What happened to Friday after Ironman died? Did I guess this one with them? That's crazy. I liked Friday, but I liked Jarvis more than anything. Yeah. Before Vision.

SPEAKER_00

Well, Friday was voiced by Kerry Condon, who was an Oscar nominee for the Banshees of Inashiran. Yeah. And then um Peters, I can't remember the name of uh in Homecoming, the one that Ironman gives him the the art AI.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

The voice of that was Jennifer Connolly, who's was in Working for a Dream, and it's also Paul Bettney's wife. Yeah in real life. So they do a lot, like it's very unique with the voice, like just voice actors, like being big big name people. Speaking of, uh you when uh Peter's uh after he had his first transformation and he's like trying to understand what it is, and there's a guy talking about spiders, yeah. And like, oh the life cycle of the spider and the spiders have three life cycles. Yeah. Uh that's voiced by uh Keith David, who did great ho uh 80s horror movies, uh The Thing and They Live, and bunch of other things too. He's a he's a voice actor too. You ever see Has Been Hotel? No, no, I haven't. Well he voices the bartender husk in that show, and that show is hilarious. It's a good um animated movie, and animated show. Yeah. Alright, so you saw it once.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Pussy. All right, so I know. I wish I wish I could go see it again. I say five times. I saw it five times in six days. Yeah. I'm done. I know the movie front and back. I was quoting it in the movie and like, no, I can't do this anymore. I I actually I could. I could see it for six times. Uh so what are your overall thoughts about it from seeing it just a one time?

SPEAKER_02

I really liked it, and I walked out of the theater like feeling like I actually watched a Spider-Man movie, not like an MCU movie, even though it's both. Like they didn't dive deep into crazy multiverse stuff, yeah, or anything like that. Like it was just strictly like his story and what he's dealing with, and as Eulena said, like small potatoes, big potatoes. I'm like, yeah, this is actually just like his story right now, and it's like I've felt for his character a lot. Like when um he sees MJ kiss another guy, and you just feel his stomach drop, you could see it on Tom Holland's face, like it was good acting with no words. I mean, that's his wife angry swing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's like he kissed my wife.

SPEAKER_02

It's like I felt that in my soul. Like I thought about I just put myself in his shoes. Like if I if it's like four years after the fact or whatever, and I knew everybody forgot about me, and I saw like faith obviously would move on, probably. Yeah, you know, it's just like I I thought about it. I was like, wow, that would like hurt so much to see that and not be able to like do anything about it. Yeah. Like I I really felt for him, and then him just going through everything, and I don't know. I thought it was a very good movie. The action was amazing, the fighting. I mean, I I feel like I wanted more action, yeah, but I liked that it was more psychological, like just going through the progression. I don't know, but it's it was sweet. It was the whole movie was sweet, organic webbing was sweet.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, yeah. I got a lot, like a lot of thoughts from watching it so many times and picking up on things, and yeah, like at the I watched it the first time, like I wasn't spoiled by much. Like I said, I knew Elena was gonna be in it. Um I figured CD Sync was Gene Gray, I'm like I said before, like it wouldn't make sense, but they made it make sense. Yeah, so I was happy they actually made it make sense and not just two horn ruins just to be like, oh hey, the X-Men are coming. So I like that. Um other than that, I wasn't spoiled by much of anything else. Yeah. So I got to like afterwards, first time I was online, like looking up theories, looking up like stuff you missed and everything. So every time I go back to watch it, then I pick up different things, like deeper meanings and stuff like that was really cool.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But I kind of agree how this was a more adult spider-I mean, he was an adult now, yeah. But like less action and more the drama, more uh emotional depth to it, which again I feel like the MCU is doing better with that, whereas opposed to before, where each ending there's like a huge, like worldwide catastrophic action scene, yada yada, where this was just more him and Gene in his mind, yeah coming to terms with who they are and like kind of like uh like how the Thunderbolts movie ended with the mind and like the mental health aspect.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I thought I liked it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I mean the the only thing like what my friends never nearly did say is they wish like it was already the longest drawn out Spider-Man movie, but they wished, like by minutes, they said it was like their longest release. Okay. Um they wished, and I agree that the like him learning who he is, like the arachnid kind of taking over and all that and becoming better at controlling the webbing and all that, would have taken a little bit longer, but it's like it randomly clicked for him. But it was still a sweet scene when he transformed into that and like started really kicking ass.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like it was it was amazing how they did it, but I I do wish it would have taken like more learning and not just one conversation with Bruce Banner. Like I thought he was gonna play more of a role, role, yeah. But again, that's just that's just me being a Marvel fan because we're always expecting more.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But like it's not like a complaint, but it's just one thing that I'm like, oh yeah, I wish it was a little more. A little bit more, yeah. But still very sweet. Yeah, I think some of the best Spider-Man action, like it felt like I was watching Spider-Man, not like an Avengers movie.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. Yep. Like, yeah, you he was right. Uh No Way Home was 148 minutes, and this was 150.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, they purposely did that. They're like, this is gonna be the longest running Spider-Man. I was like, I bet it's gonna be like within 10 minutes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. So uh the movie starts off. We know from uh I think well the thing too is that this is a continuation from Far From Home. I mean No Way Home. Yeah, where like everybody forgot that Peter Parker Spider-Man and forgot Peter Parker in general. So um he's Spider-Man, he's uh doing this whole thing where a montage of him d uh fighting different villains. Yeah. Like he used how he said, uh each one is like a scene from the comic. Yeah. So there's the tarantula, he's fighting tarantula from Springer 134, Ramrod from 1 uh 221, Tombstone from 142. Uh so Scorpion from uh Sprinum Adventures number two was cool. I like the he had the his little winter hat and everything, and then he just gets walloped by him. And then um we swings the one guy down that's from Magic Fantasy from 1962. So we're introduced uh to a bunch of these like um street level villains, like the Tombstone, Ramrod, Tarantula. Um the marketing for this movie they had Sadie Sink, like you know, Sadie Sink was in it, but no one knew who she was playing. They hid that pretty well, yeah. So a lot of people thought really that uh Spider-Man was gonna up against like Scorpion, Tombstone, like the whole movie was gonna be them uh going up against Spider-Man, but in reality they're really all just cameo appearances. Scorpion had like a little bit more, but maybe not a lot more. And some people were actually mad about that. Like I saw uh review online. Yeah, he was good. Who?

SPEAKER_02

The dude who played Scorpion, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He was good, yeah. He was also in Homecoming, yeah, at the last scene, but um then one guy online talked about how he hated it because he expected Tombstone to be like a major character, and then Adam, people like so you hate the movie because what you wanted to happen didn't happen. Yeah, like that doesn't that's stupid. And I think that's another problem with like the internet now is that before the movies come out, we have all these theories and thoughts about what it's gonna be. Yeah. And then when they don't deliver on what we expect it to be, we hate it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Whereas with other movies back before internet, I mean, the biggest uh thing is like Star Wars, uh not return to the Jedi. Part five. Oh, I can't remember the name of it. But where it's revealed that uh Darth Vader's Luke Skywalker's father, yeah. Which blew people away back then because no one knew because there's no online there was no online thing where people talked about it ad nauseum. Where now I feel like a lot of the magic is gone because people just screw like critique everything they see. Yeah. Like this hour-long videos on just the trailer, like breaking out the trailer, like, oh, you know, this thing was it's like reference to this, it could be this and this. Like, just just go watch the movie. Yeah, just watch it. Like, why do you like why you wouldn't uh that just noise the hell out of me?

SPEAKER_02

And like it's it's just like the Marvel fan way now. Like I was saying before, like I'm not complaining about anything, but it's like you have this expectation now because of how amazing movies have been before that like you're trying to nitpick and you shouldn't, you should just enjoy for what it was.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Cause like like my friends were telling me like their problems with it, but then I'm like, but can you say at all that this was a bad movie? And they're like, No, not at all. This was a very good movie. Yeah. I'm like, exactly. We're just we're reaching just because that's what we're like supposed to do now. It's weird.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Like I have some nitpicks about it, yeah. Which I'll talk later about, but none of it ruined my enjoyment of the movie.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like I didn't care. Um, my one friend, he didn't he was he wasn't happy that Sadie Sink was gene gray because she's too young. It's like she's like, she's a teenager. I'm like, okay, so you're gonna the X-Men are coming into the universe. This isn't the comics where you can just, you know, draw them in, and that these like the actors, they're gonna be around for a while. Yeah, you don't want to cast like someone in the 30s already. Like, okay, well, uh, we're gonna do this for another 10 years. Oh, you can be 40 and 50. That's not gonna work.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We can start with like a very young class. Well, um, talk about that. So Samara Weaving, who was in Ready or Not, was just cast as Emma Frost for the X-Men. This, like the real only really confirmed person for it yet. The other ones are like speculation and stuff, but I mean City Sync, okay. Yes, he's Gene Gray. That's the second one. But there's Charles Melton, who was in um May, December. He was in a couple other movies. A lot of people don't know him, but he's in talks to be Beast. Yeah, he'd be a good pick. Kaylee Spaney, who was in Alien Romulus, like the super the hero Nat is in Talks to be Rogue. Uh Our Girl Indy Neveretti is in talks to be mystique from Obsession. Um Cooper Hoffman, who was in The Long Walk, is talks to be Cyclops. So they're casting like all these like younger, like established actors, but not you know, like the Brad Pitt level like names. Like you know them, but they're not super known. Yeah, which I love.

SPEAKER_02

I like I hope, oh, that's a guy from this.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like I hope that's gonna be the cast because that would be epic. Especially Never Ready. I love her. After Obsession, like I love her, but um yeah, he didn't like the fact of that because Emma Frost is I mean, uh Samar Weaving, she's in her late 20s, mid to late 20s, so I mean that's kind of an age gap, but also Emma Frost is kind of older anyway.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, and if he Jackman plays Wolverine again, I mean that'd be kind of awkward of him falling in love with Gene Gray when she's like 19. So I don't know how they're gonna do with that, or if they're gonna recast him. Do you think Henry Calvin would be a good choice for Wolverine then?

SPEAKER_02

Or do you think honest honestly, like he has the look, but I never thought Henry Henry Cavill was that good of an actor.

SPEAKER_04

Hmm.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. I just don't enjoy him as an actor that much for some reason. So maybe he could, like, he did good with his one line, like you were just leaving. Like he had the voice. Yeah, so maybe honestly.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he has the look and everything. Yeah. But yeah. So back to Spider-Man. So just like the montage of the years that pass, and also as he's fighting these enemies, he sees on uh Instagram the story of like Ned and MJ going to MIT. Yeah. And even at that, like that was emotional too because you saw in I think it was Far From Home. Oh, No Way Home. Where they're sitting on the top of the roof, and all the three of them are talking about going to MIT together and you know, all the fun they're gonna have. And Ned in the video, she's like, Yeah, MJ, remember me and you were on the roof talking about going to MIT together? I'm like, oof. Yeah. And Peter's just watching it, I'm like, oh, like you feel for him.

SPEAKER_02

Like that's the whole that's the whole thing about this movie. Like, I I felt it in my soul. Yeah. Like I'm putting myself in his shoes, and I'm like, dang, dude.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And then like seeing four years go by, like, oh, last semester of MIT. I'm like, he's just been like just watching fighting crumb and watching them and not being able to do anything about his personal life.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like very good writing.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Excellent writing. Yeah. But also just the fact of so he's been fighting for four years. Like he wouldn't make new friends. He didn't like even thought about going out to do he was just a loner for four years. Yeah. Like that is just heartbreaking. Yeah. That is depressing. And he just Tom Holland, he's so good at it. Yeah. Because he he he pulls that up, but he's also still very fun. Yeah. And makes jokes and everything else. And he's just feel for him, but he's also very well well well rounded.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So anyway, so he's talking to the uh the detective who's actually in the comics, she's a major character in the comics too. Yeah. Um it's interesting because in the comics she's a white woman. Where this if I felt like because when she's talking to him on the she was on the train and he was in the store, and it was just like, You don't know my kids' names. He's like, Well, no, the your son's name is Poppy, because he asked about for a calculator. But the fact that she's Hispanic, I was thinking kind of like because when the end, um Peter was like, Oh, say hi to uh okay, I've seen it five times can't remember the kids' names. Okay, I'm assuming I don't know all of them. But he says say hi to like her kids for me, and I was like, Oh, so explain he was like, say hi to Miles for me or something. Because I was like, ooh, because Miles' dad was a cop, so I was like, Is this Miles Morales? No. Once again, see, my I say about how people shouldn't uh try to look into things, and I'm like, where's Miles at? And when Peter's looking at Ned's wall, uh, you know, like the always sending Philadelphia type of connection to Spider-Man. Yeah, there's like an article about a Latino um parkour person. It's like, ooh, is that Miles Miles? But after watching it for the fifth time, I looked in and it was some other name. Like, okay, nope, nope, I am like, stop, stop doing what I said not to do. But like I said, it didn't deter me. I was like, Oh, okay, so it's not Miles. Yeah, whatever. Other people were upset that that's not Miles. I'm like, Whatever.

SPEAKER_02

I mean it'd be I feel like Tom Holland would be kind of uh the best Spider-Man to teach and like mentor Miles Morales. Oh yeah. Because he's like obviously younger, he's newer, everybody's really grown to love him. I think it'd be interesting. Yeah. Like him becoming the teacher because he's learning more about himself now.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, definitely. He's definitely prepared more to do that.

SPEAKER_02

I was surprised when the when the movie ended, Faith said, No way, is that all we get of Tom Holland's Spider-Man? No. And I was I was like, where are you getting that from? Because she's not on social media or anything right now. But even so, I was just like, did that ending make you think that was it? Yeah, because like Ned remembers like Peter. Yeah. Which like I did see that from the comics, Gene Gray can go into people's minds and restore memory. So maybe because she saw Peter's perspective and became like low-key friends with him, she helped him in that way with Ned. Because I don't know, I don't think a handshake would just snap you out of it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. True. I don't know. Well, they said this is the new trilogy, so yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I did tell her, I was like, I thought I heard they'd do multiple, like many more. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I mean that's the whole thing too. Peter says at the end, he's like, I'm not gonna do this alone anymore. So I don't see how she got this is the end for him.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

He went to uh Ant-Max Grade, like, Well, I'm done being Spider-Man, here's my costume, I'm leaving. Okay, then yeah, maybe. He's like, No, I'm not gonna do this alone anymore. And even at the end, um, he's talking to the the detective again about the bank robbery. Yeah, he's like, I could be there. So he just got shot in the back, just relax. So yeah, he's definitely not done. He'll he'll be around for a little bit longer.

SPEAKER_02

Um my heart broke when he got shot too. Oof. And like seeing Frank finally show kind of a little emotion. Yeah, I was like, oh wow, the punisher's feeling it right now. Yeah. You can just see the guilt on his face when he's like, Oh, I just hit Peter.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Speaking of the Punisher, the next scene is he gets a uh Peter gets a call about a tank uh running amok in the town, so he goes to stop it, and I love the scene because he's like trying to stop it and he feels his spider sense and turns around and says like a like uh explosion thing, he just knocks him off the the tank and he's just rammed in the car. Just saying, like the uh punishes like ramps him with his van thing, like he's like, he'll be alright. Yeah, he's fine. He's like, Yeah, like Frank, what are you doing? I love their connect, like they have such a brotherly bond.

SPEAKER_02

He's like, Remember that time I saved you. Staten Island.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. The Staten Island story no one knows about. Everybody wants to know what happened to Staten Island.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so Faith was telling me and Nevin that she really wanted to watch Punisher now, and we were like, You just gotta know though.

SPEAKER_00

It is a lot different.

SPEAKER_02

It's not the Punisher you're gonna see.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, it is a lot darker.

SPEAKER_02

He's a little different. He's not comedic with Peter Parker, he's uh just a killer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he is a killer, he is a vigilante, yeah, and he's dark. But uh, I love the scene too when they're fighting on the on the van and he has a gun and Peter just uh webs it up on the top and he's just supposed another one's like ha. It's like oh god.

SPEAKER_02

It's like she was just oh he's like Frank, you gotta get out of here. This is way above your hair pay right to Hulk, and he was like, Oh shit.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That was I get to that too. That was hilarious. But um so Peter just knocks him out of the knocks him out of the truck. Yeah, and the whole thing is that like the um people wondered how Burnthaw's Punisher could connect with this movie because you know the Punisher series is very R-rated, yeah. So like you know, because he fucks a lot, says fuck a lot and all that knocks him out and he's like motherfuck he goes surrounding says rubs his mouth. Like, that's a good way of doing that. He's like, Go home, Frank. Go home, Frank. So then the tank uh lands to the uh Department of Defense, uh Department of Damage Control, and um he opens it up and it's like old lady in there.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So what'd you think about that? What do you thought you probably expected that right from the trailers?

SPEAKER_02

I actually didn't see oh um I didn't watch every trailer for this for that reason. Yeah, I only watched the first brand new day trailer, and then I promised myself I wouldn't watch anything else because I didn't want to like yeah, I didn't want to have that expectation like we talked about of like, oh, I want to catch this and this.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So I I did think it was gonna be like someone under a mind control. Like I didn't think it was a real person. Yeah. So it makes sense.

SPEAKER_00

That's why I hate another thing about movies, San Cisco Tangent again. Yeah, trailers, one trailer, just put one out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It don't tell the whole damn story.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they really they and some trailers literally go through like chronological order of a movie.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And like it ruins it. Yep. Like my mom doesn't watch trailers before she watches movies.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I just I'm at the theater and it's already on screen. Like, well, I guess I watch it. I don't watch it on my phone. I did watch Doomstone on my phone just because I wanted to see it, but yeah. Um, yeah, like it's just just so many trailers that give away so much. Just by the time you watch it, like, okay, where's the scene at? Okay, the scene's coming as soon. Okay, there it is. Yeah. You know, and it gives too much away.

SPEAKER_02

I'm really I'm actually really upset because literally Nevin and Ellie's movie started ten minutes before ours, and they said the doomsday trailer looked fire. I'm like, they didn't play it for us. I saw at a Spider-Man movie, they didn't play it for us.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I saw it one time watching it. That's crazy. They played Doomsday, and that was it.

SPEAKER_02

I really want like I'd already watched it, but I really wanted to watch it on the big screen. Big screen, but they didn't play it. I was like, oh come on.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it looks a lot better on the big screen.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, I was I was surprised too. I was because we're saying that it was me, Devin, uh uh Gate uh Gage, Chris, and Dave, and we're like, okay, Doomsday trailer, doomsday trailer. Why is the movie starting? Make it doomsday trailer? That's weird. Okay, so tangent aside. So opens it up, there's a lady, yeah, um, gets my his mind controlled. The mind Jean, oh, Gene Gray just keeps uh jumping from one person to another, gets to the roof, and they realize that they he's trying to f she's trying to free Scorpion. So they get him on the helicopter to leave. Um I think it's cool because when she takes over the one guy who closes like the helicopter or tells him where to take him to Bellevue instead of the other place. Yeah. When Spider-Man gets up there and he's like, Save me, Spider-Man, and just like about to like fall off the the ledge. I love how when Spider-Man like he webs him, he webs him back, but then he like does like an underhand web and like knocks him into the wall, and like yeah, that was really cool.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Every time I saw him like, that's pretty neat. But then she tries to get into his mind, but she can't uh she can't possess him. Yeah. So he's he's like, You don't even want to uh it's like he pushed me out. So he's kind of surprised by it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then of course the the tank explodes, and then she gets away. So Spider-Man goes to see Elena Balova. Love um so this is one of the few scenes in the movie where people actually like cheered.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Where like far from I mean, no way home, there's a lot of cheering in that, obviously, because you know, Toby McGuire, Andrew Garfield, yeah, William Defoe, all that. But he walks into the thing and she's like, take your clothes off. And it was like, Oh my gosh, Elena! I'm like, Yes. Florence Pugh is I love her, I love her to death. All her movies. She's the best cast person in the MCU since Mgame. Yeah. They like all the new move, like all the new movies. Like, she's the best cast. I'm like, keep her around.

SPEAKER_02

I know, I love her so much.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. But like I said, when I found out that she was gonna be in it, and it's like, she's been naked with Peter Park. I'm like, what kind of movie is this? I'm like, oh well. She's like, take off your clothes. Like, you know, Bonio, you gotta take off your clothes. It's like that way I know you don't have any weapons on you, which is like a callback to uh Hawkeye. When she's talking to Kate Bishop, and she's like, Kate, you know, it's like, I don't know if any got any weapons on me. Oh, that is a lie. I do have one. So, like, just that and she tells that accent, so uh oh she does. Yeah, she's so good, and then Peter's talking about like because she was at the red room, so she had mind controlled, and she's like, No, it's not the same, it's it's more like a ghost, more like a demon. Um, but then I I feel like this is like a big thing going forward, like memes and also just in general. It's like, okay, that's for you, that's little potatoes. You're a little potato. We're big adventures, we're the new adventure, we're big potatoes. I did that at work today.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the comments are already on like stuff about the movie. That's what people keep saying.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. I was at work today and uh Jen asked me to do this thing. Like, John, that's small potatoes. I'll do big potatoes. Like, what? I'll do it. It's like, God, I love I loved her. And then she made him um the whole running gag with this that he never takes off his mask. So he's there like in his uh skimps and um nothing else but this mask, and she's like, Really? You never take that off? Not for your girlfriend or boyfriend. Like, there's a lot of conjecture online. That dude's like, you're the the the is it really graphic art? Like you're the ten mysterious. It's like I can't unsee it. Oh god, I love it. But yeah, so basically he's like, I'm just gonna talk to them myself. So he goes to the uh Department of Damage Control where he meets up with uh Metzger. I knew he was a bad guy. The moment when um the hand came out, and he's like, Wait, the hand? He's like, Oh yeah, there's this like wayward teens who just needed someone to show them the right direction to go. And I'm like, bad guy. Yep, like he's the bad guy.

SPEAKER_02

Well, the moment I saw him smile, like Faith and I were like, Yeah, he's he's gonna be a problem. Yep, just too nice. Yeah, like the moment he told the security, like, please, gentlemen, please.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

And I was like, I know he's a bad guy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that too. That was fun, that was funny too, because he's like standing in the the thing, it's like you know, identifying him, it's like, take off your mask. He's like, I can't. He's not the gun something. I'm like, okay, that's a little harsh. Like, this is a Spider-Man, what are you gonna do? Like, you don't know it's not Spider-Man, and then um oh yeah, the whole concept of the V-Max, yeah. Um, because Peter overheard him talk about V Max and asked Masker what it was, he had no idea. We'll get to that at the end about what that really means. But one thing with this movie that had not an issue with issue with, but a question that never was answered is what was in that vault. Because she tried to get into that vault with the Punisher when he she he uh she blew it up in Metzger and the people were hiding in there, but there was nothing else in there. So I was trying to figure out what the point of that vault was. I thought at first it was the um entrance to that uh room that they had Gene Gray in in the end. Yeah, but that was on Roosevelt Island, so that wasn't that in that vault. So I'm like, what was like I looked it up, like no one really knew an answer, like what was in that vault or why it was so important. But again, small thing. Yeah. Like I don't care, I was just curious about why that was there.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I was saying another thing that didn't make sense is the 30-foot jump radius thing. Yeah. Webs up the helicopter. Yeah. Who uh goes immediately to MJ's apartment. How did that happen?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I mean, the only thing I could think of is someone saw him up there in a helicopter and went up to check on him and then just hopped. And also, you don't know how long of a distance Peter had to go from there to MJ's. Yeah. Because I mean, New York is a big city. Yeah. Well, when he was on the roof, um, trying to understand his new abilities, and that's when uh they saw Scorp uh Scorpion was on the camera, and so he goes to go there, but it was like dusk E when he left. But by the time he got there, it was like pitch dark.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I mean also he didn't know how to control the webs then, so yeah, with that. But I feel like New York is a lot a lot bigger, yeah. And like how Gene could just like like it's a pretty quick succession of hopping where he's paramount, like still like swinging and swinging.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and Zendaya did amazing in that scene. I felt like a horror scene. Yeah, she was a hugger for sure. I was like, oh my gosh, because I I didn't believe it for a second that it was like really happening, but it still caught me off guard. Oh, we'll we'll get to that, we'll get there. Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's it was amazing. Yeah, so before then, um Peter's at the the diner thing and he sees Ned come in to get the beer and the shark energy drink, whatever. I like I feel like that seems mildly unnecessary with him just talking to the the uh cashier ladies like Remarks' face, don't sell me any more of that. Actually, I'll buy one. Actually, I'm like, okay, you could get a little bit of that off, but whatever. So he goes to their house for having the the housewarming party at their apartment, and that's where I said that he found the the connection thing of Spider-Man and when uh Ned's like I have it down to two sub suspects, and it's like Flash and uh their teacher like no, it was good to include them in the movie though, because they weren't in it, yeah. So Peter has the flowers for flowers for MJ uh for May, but he went there instead, so it's like oh, it's a housewarming gift, and MJ's like, oh, it's uh that's like he uh Peter's like Maynard, like where's he coming with that name from? And uh he's like, Oh my neighbor. Friendly neighbor. It's like ha. That's why he spits up his drink, like, yeah, friendly neighbor in Spider-Man.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I I wish they didn't spoil that in the trailer. Yeah. The friendly neighbor thing, because I was like, it was good. Yeah, it's very clever.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it was cool. Um so then that's when he sees uh MJ with Nate. Yeah, and they kiss, and oh, that's another thing too. Beforehand, MJ had an interview with a corporation that isn't mentioned, and Ned's like, well, why does he take the job? So I don't give into a soulless corporation. Like, oh, work at Target. I guess I do too. But um the rumors going around that is that that company is Oscorp. Yeah. Because it hasn't existed yet. Because when um Defoe's character was there for uh No Way Home, he's like, Oscorp doesn't exist here. So people are thinking, like, oh maybe it's Oscorp now, so maybe we'll see. I mean, because there's it's big in the Spider-Man lore to have that. Yeah, because you need Harry and Norman, like they're both big characters, so yeah. Like I said, like they can do there's so many stories that they can keep doing. Yeah, I wonder who Harry would be. Like the actor?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm trying to think of like who do you even cast and well, how do you write the character? Because I liked James Franco. Yeah, whoever was in Amazing Spider-Man 2 was awful.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, um, Dan Dehan. Yes, yeah. They need to like they need a good comeback. I think it uh Dave Franco did do it. He's youngish looking. I mean, he's about the same age, well, a little bit older than Tom Holland, but a lot older. He looks younger, yeah. Anyway, so Peter sees that, so that's when he that's when he arrives back at his place and he's really experiencing the transformation. Like his eyes turn black. Um, he has the webbing, and then he wakes up in the cocoon. Yeah. Um, and he realizes Dude, that was so funny too, because he's in the cocoon up in the thing, and then he just falls and just his body's like like he hits the thing, like, oh wow, damn. And then he's just winging it, webs himself and he looks and he's like from his his arm, it's like eee. Like, yeah, I would have the same reaction, like, uh, what's this out of my hand?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, so he realizes that something is happening. And like Evie is saying, like, well, I've been going through a lot of uh mental problems lately. Yeah. Which is yeah, which was also what liked about the movies that it touches on it focuses on Peter's loneliness and isolation and how it's affecting him.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like, not just mentally but physically now. I guess with all that happening. So he has that problem going for him, which another thing is that um conjecture online was that he was gonna be man spider and everything, that doesn't happen, so people are mad about that, blah blah blah, again, whatever. So he goes to see Dr. Banner to talk about like what like how to suppress it. And that's what's saying um in the trivia about Cindy Moon asking the question about uh Thanos. So her question was uh if then um Thanos was really about uh preserving things, why didn't he use the glove to make more food instead of just snapping half the people out? Because he snap he snapped half people, but also he snapped half of everything. Yeah. So just question what do you think about that?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So why didn't Thanos then? Thanos I don't know, like his character was so interesting because in his mind he is doing the most righteous thing ever, and that's killing half the population so the other half thrives. And it's like it's like a good it's a good plan, but not like the best he could have done. Like it I see why he thought he was right, yeah, and why some people that work with him thought like, oh, that's smart. But there were better ways to go about it. It's like Thanos isn't a bad guy to everybody. You know what I mean? Like, obviously, we because he fought the Avengers, we think he's a bad guy, but like in his mind, I mean, pretty good dude.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Well I like Thanos. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well, according to the Russos, it's because Thanos was focused on proving his solution would work and couldn't even consider trying anything else. Yeah. So he's like there are better ways to go about it, but he's not wrong. He's like, I'm right, you're wrong. Um so Peter talks to Banner about finding ways to um prohibit his one side from coming out, kind of like how he has the inhibitor for the Hulk. Yeah. And it's interesting because um Bruce talks about like, well, how do you decide what's good and what's bad? That sometimes the bad needs to come out and stuff like huh. What do you think about that?

SPEAKER_02

I thought it was a fire line. Yeah. It's like it's like how can you really like say what's good and bad and like what's useful and not useful? Like you may be suppressing something you need in the future just because it's bad now, but you just haven't learned it enough. Like I thought it was very good wisdom, and that's why like my Marvel brand was like, Oh, I want more of that, like him mentoring him. Yeah, or even Maguire mentoring him about organic webbing, like learning that. Like, yeah, that's just my brain spiraling. Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? Like more banner, Maguire, that'd be cool to see him. Like, oh, you guys can't do that. Oh, now you can do that, yeah. Like that'd be sweet.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I loved how he met some. He's like, Peter too had organic webs, and he was pretty cool.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I was I was like, bring him just for a sec, yeah, do something.

SPEAKER_00

Right.

SPEAKER_02

But it it might have felt like too much if they actually did.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it would have been just it would have been yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but I I liked that it wasn't just nerdy Hulk, like they brought back Rach Hulk for a little bit. Obviously wanted to be longer, but like again, pretty cool. Pretty cool, yeah. Ginormous.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Oh yeah, I didn't think you'd get that big. But even then, um, like I was saying before, like how Gene Gray would integrate herself into a Spider-Man movie. Yeah, this gives way for them to take advantage of the mutants with um the inhibitor callers, yeah. Yeah, because Peter made the thing that inhibits abilities, yeah, which they use on Gene in this movie, so that could be like the catalyst for how they do it in the future. Yeah. So basically, if anything happens, it's all Spider-Man's fault. It's like thanks, Spider-Man. He's just uh neutered everybody. Yeah. Well, even Bruce said he's like, you talk about like prohibiting people using their powers, which is a very dangerous road or whatever to go down. Like, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

He's like, you're talking about like a universal one? Are you sure?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah, I was like, all right, well, it's uh the right to that. And so Peter makes the makes this inhibitor, tests it out, but it doesn't work, which is also funny because the uh his um mechanical webs do the uh grenades. Yeah. He's like, web grenades activate. He's like, oh shit explosion. I was like, that was pretty funny. And then he meets the one guy on the street, he's like, Hey, you okay? In case they thinks he's just thinking he's like a regular person. He's like, Oh, they're trying to keep the monster inside, huh? Like, ooh. And that's that was the thing that kind of I didn't get if you can if you have any thoughts on it. I don't know if singing from one time only. Um how beginning Peter knew who Gene well, not who Gene was, but knew that it wasn't a person.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But then all of a sudden he just didn't know because he's like, You can't you don't sense me, you don't see me anymore. So it's like that's interesting. Like, I don't know why he would forget, like he wouldn't not be able to do that because with his metamorphosis, uh you even said like his senses are even more heightened. So like he wouldn't be able to see that even more. Yeah. And I was confused on that.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like it's it's uh what Peter two and three were talking about, like ex existential crisis stuff will affect your ability. Like they and Andrew even joked about it, but it low-key was like a dark very real thing. He's like, Oh yeah, don't get me started on that. Yeah. 'Cause he's gone through so much. And like it it just made me think back to that. Like when they and Spider-Man does go through stuff, it heightens certain things and then other things it heightens, but like low-key news at the same time. Yeah. Because when he goes through stuff, it just really messes with him more than most superheroes. Yeah. I feel like that's a trend with Spider-Man.

SPEAKER_00

I can see that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That makes sense. I like I like your answer. Good job. One time, you're good. Yeah. I know.

SPEAKER_02

We did it.

SPEAKER_00

Right. So then he um Gene finds out who Peter is from going to his apartment. And which is also interesting because she didn't destroy anything. I figured if she was there, I would like to destroy Evie or something to prevent him from doing anything. But she's just she finds the note that Peter had written for MJ from like four years ago and just leaves.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Was playing the mind games, was playing the long game.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I liked her character.

SPEAKER_00

Jean Gray. Yeah. Oh yeah. But um, so she's like, oh hey, um, I'm gonna go visit MJ and see who gets there first. Which the guy, when she g goes in the one guy, says he's like, I'm fast, and he's like hit by the hits by the the um taxi just dies. I'm sure the guy's just dead right now. I think she just killed a guy.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like, damn, he's definitely dead. And then she's gonna like hops through, and then Spider-Man again with his organic webs, he's not used to, so he can't get there as fast as he would. Yeah. Crashes to the wedding, and uh the wedding the bride's like, and Pete and uh Spider-Man quest to find the love of his life, but failing, whatever, and like god damn, she's getting his head so much.

SPEAKER_02

Really good, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then so like you see, he finally finds out there's like a through three thirty-three foot radius from where she can hop to one person to the other. So she he uh traps her in the helicopter, like you said. Don't know how, again, yeah, how it got from that to that, but that was another one of my questions, not not qualms about it, but questions about it. But again, in the end, it doesn't really matter. So I guess to MJ's apartment, tells her she's in danger, so um, to go with her. So the first time we knew something was up is because every time in the other movies when MJ was with Spider-Man, he's like swinging around, she would freak out.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And this time she was just there. Like he's just he's swinging around, she just was like resting on him. Like, yeah, something's up on this, because she was usually like, like after she's unpossessed, she's like, I'm following, I'm following. I got you, I got you. I'm like, Yeah, so that's that's MJ.

SPEAKER_02

It's such a clever but messed up, villainous thing to do. Oh my gosh. Was use like let it play out that long and even kiss her.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you know, like it's on the roof, and then she's like, I knew it was fake too.

SPEAKER_02

I was like, This is gonna hurt, whatever happens next.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because on the roof, she's like, We knew each other, didn't we? We were classmates or friends or something more, and then she takes off the mask and kisses him as he takes off the whole thing. She's like, Peter, and dude, he was like, you know, bawling. Yeah, because I missed you so much. And another thing too, um, a lot of people notice when she was hugging him, and like you see her, and she's just kind of like unemotional. I'm like, Mm-hmm. He's like, Go ahead, Peter. It was like a horror movie. Well, yeah, because she's like, Go ahead, Peter, touch her. That was another time the whole audience, like, what's like you really are a simple spider, and so like it's the house he looked to, so it kind of like walked and like her eyes like kind of glowed a little bit. It's like walking back to the edge. I'm like, God damn. Someone saw someone said, How could Peter be friends with Gene after that? Yeah, because I mean that is a hard thing to forgive. Because you literally like mindfucked him, like without protection. Yeah. So then again, that's what leads um Peter to go back to like his spider, the rechnid DNA to take over because of his heightened emotional state. So he tries to like force her out of her, and she kicks him off and she falls off the ledge, and then he she he rescues her as usual. And we finally see Gene Gray talking, gives him back the note, and then they drive away. So they go to Frank's place for protection, which was hilarious. Um, how he was like booby traps, all the booby traps. And he comes out, he's like, like him and MJ, I love their connection too, because they're both very sarcastic, bitter people. And he's he's like, Who are you? She's like, Who are you? And um, then they start talking about uh Staten Island. They're both arguing, yeah. They're both arguing at her, and she's like, I just want to go home. Like, yeah, uh good idea, kick rocks. So he finally like, do you like chili? I made some chili. So they um yeah, Frank's place and they find out that it's Gene Gray. Yeah, another reveal that I I mean most people saw coming, but another the audience was like, Oh we heard I heard that a couple times when I watched it. So she's Gene Gray, telekinetic, all that jazz. Um they figure out how to make the inhibitor work because MJ figures out that it's because the uh stuff in his goggles was like interfering with it with his head. So he gets the inhibitor on, so he's good, good to go. Um finds out um I forgot the part about fighting the scorpion again. Um was this cool him flipping him into the police car? Yeah. After the spider uh erected side took over.

SPEAKER_02

I wanted to see him, like that's another thing about him progressing and like learning his new whatever. I wanted to see a very dark Spider-Man that like kills someone.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And they like blue balled me.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, that was cool because he's I mean, he's trying to fight, but he wasn't doing very well. Yeah. And then that's when the the arachnid sons took over and his eyes turned black, and then again, he just takes Scorpion's tail and just like beats him with it, and he knocks him like into the ground, jumps up, like puts the web sound, is like smashes into him, like, damn, that's so good. Yeah, and like you said, he grabs him and like chucks him into the car, and like, ooh, and then yeah, nothing else after that. Yeah, I was like, oh. Like, and like you said, like blue ball, like I almost like that was a dark spider-man. I I liked that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And there was another moment, we'll talk about it later. But there was another moment where I wanted yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So um they find out that she's attacking the uh damage control again. Yep. So the Hulk, she uh took well, she tells the driver like to go to uh the university, which she's getting the Hulk, and so the Hulk's like trying to beat down the the door again. Don't know why. Metzger and all of them are in there, and um, so Spider-Man arrives, so she sticks the Hulk on him, and um the Hulk kind of pushes her out in case he uh goes back to Bruce. Well, and also the Punisher arrives, which is hilarious, like you said before. Like he starts shooting him, and he's like, What are you doing, man? That's Bobby Peggrade. Like, you're fighting the Hulk, oh shit. He's like, Oh shit. And the Hulk does the the smash on the ground, like, ooh, good. It was good, that was his professional Hulk, too. It wasn't like Hulk Hulk by then. Yeah, um, so he keeps getting hit in the head and it was like keeps knocking Gene out. And so like, okay, you take care of him. I'll go, I'll go uh take care of the main thread. He's like, You just don't want to fight the Hulk, do you? Yeah. So then Peter's like, don't kill her. He's like, just do your thing. I'm good. I should I love their their that Hulk and I I just love it. Yeah, it's also nice to have him have a friend.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the Punisher gotta say his famous line of Yeah, well let me do something else. Yeah, yeah. He says that in like every show he's in.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, yep. So um he gets attacked by the Hulk. Um Bruce kicks her out, goes back to Bruce, and Peter tries to get him with the inhibitor to stop him from being the Hulk, but then he really he says, Well, he told us that she broke something. Yeah. So what do you think that meant when he said that? She broke something. And when Bruce is like, She broke something in his head. Oh gosh.

SPEAKER_02

I feel like for that version of the Hulk to come out, she had to have like she dove deep into a very dark part of Hulk's entire being. Like the story of the gamma radiation and losing everybody because of it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Never his life will never be the same. Like it it really she messed with his head a lot. Yeah, I think.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think that's what it was. So she just got into it so deep that she brought the Hulk back. Yeah. Because he was he was, you know, I mean Professor Hulk, but then after that he was just regular Bruce. So he was, you know, dormant for a while.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

She just broke it because he released him again. Um it's interesting that that's the second time Hulk's been mind controlled. Yeah. And both of them by a redhead. Because the Scarlet Witch is an Age of Ultron, and now this. So he goes into full Hulk mode finally. I love full Hulk. We need him back again. That fight scene was uh awesome. Yeah. Like when Spiderman's like running through the hall and like the camera's spinning. He's like shooting the website him, and then Hulk does the Hulk clap. Yeah. Yes, the Hulk clap. That was in the trailer. I was so mad. That would have been cool to see the first time. Like, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I'm like, oh yeah, that they even showed the inhibitor thing on his arm in the trailer, and then they showed Hulk later in the trailer. Yeah. I'm like, why? I'm like, just leave it for the movie. Just once.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like the Hulk wasn't in it that long. Yeah. But it's also epic that um he has like the whole building like on his shoulders. Yeah. And he's still like moving, like, god damn, Hulk's freaking massive. Yeah. But then Peter's like, you know, Bruce, it's me, Peter, I'm your friend. And that's when he realizes who he was. The Optimus and Bumblebee moment.

SPEAKER_02

The what? The Optimus and Bumblebee moment.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I was your only friend from I I literally immediately thought of that. I was like, oh.

SPEAKER_00

That was an interesting concept too. Because in the comics, when Peter has the spell that everyone forgot who he was, Hulk was the only one that remembered. Because he's like, Banner forgot, the wolf forgot, but Hulk knows. So that's why I think it was like an odd to that. Yeah. So then Hulk is like, okay, yeah, you're good. I'm I'm out. So and then Gene uh takes over the Punisher, which is hilarious too, because it's like, whoa, this guy's got issues.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then Peter starts finding the big Hulk and Punisher's like, good luck with that, Peter. That's Gene, like, well, that's cool. So they break they get into the the vault, um, and she asks Metzger, like, where where is she, whatever? So Spreader comes in, puts an inhibitor inhibitor on her, and then Metzger shoots her with a dart, knocks her out. She says Sarah before she passes out. Um another thing, question I have in this movie is that why was she never in Metzger's mind? Because she's the one he would know more than anyone else. Yeah, but she never got into his head. And I never knew why she just didn't do that because I feel like that's like the easier way of doing it than just possessing the Hulk to get in there. She's gone to Metzger and be like, okay, this is what happened.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe something in the vault was some technology they were forming to be able to stop her and prevent her from getting in their own heads in certain people's heads. Like it was important stuff they were working with.

SPEAKER_00

Didn't look like it was. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I don't that's just one theory.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, yeah. It's just another one of those things that wasn't answered to me. Yeah. Um, so they take her in and Peter asks Mesker about Sarah. Masker's like, oh, she got into my head for a bit. And Sarah was someone I worked with that passed away, and I'm like, that's one's like, oh, you're really the villain. Yeah. Like that is like bull crap. Yeah, that was bullshit. So Peter goes back to go with MJ, and MJ finds the note, which that was a great scene. Like, that was very emotional too, because Oh man, those words. When she's like, I don't love you.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I don't like you. Because again, I'm putting myself in his shoes. I'm just imagining if Faith forgot me and was like, I don't love you. I don't have those memories. Like you say you remember all this, I don't.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

That oh man.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. That was rough.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. What do you even do?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. There's nothing you can do. Yeah. Cause I I equated it to being like, if I was MJ, it'd be like some guy down the street, some person downstairs, like, oh hey, we were together for like other than like, I don't know you. Yeah. It's just like gut punch to Peter.

SPEAKER_02

And you know, like her personality especially is like she was probably pretty weirded out by him.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like just like, what do you mean? Like I I really I'm not vibing with that. I don't let a lot of people in. I don't know you. Mm-hmm. It took ye it took years for him to like form a bond with her anyway.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Like many movies to actually well the second movie, but yeah. Yeah, so it's I don't know. It's yeah. It it was difficult because you just know her character and his character and how much it hurts that that happened. Yep. Insane.

SPEAKER_00

But then she's like, um, I don't have my phone, so can you take me home? Yeah. Which also when he's taking her home, she wasn't saying a thing again, she wasn't freaked out. Yeah. Because it's I think she was just numb. But everything that's just happened, she's just like like processing things. Yeah. Guess a lot to process. You find that note, he's like, Wait, what? We were together, we were this, you love me. I don't know you. Like, what's going through her mind, let alone his mind? Yeah. But then she invites him up to meet Ned, the spider track, the spidey tracker. That's one little thing, too. So Ned um connects with him, they're all playing Legos. I'd love to see them like nerd out. Yeah. Like the Lego scene was great. Yeah. And then talk about the webs and how they work. And then Ned's like, all right, then keep your secrets. You talk about the Neds of the Dragon. I didn't. I just made the game uncle nuts out of the door. It was amazing. Yeah, I was like, Lord of the Rings, yes. I love that part. I'm like, yeah. It's just um, then Ned goes to get the food, and Peter's MJ's like, Oh, I'm sorry about him. She's like, This is the most fun I've had in years. I'm like, yeah, because you're actually connecting again with your friends. And just how the three, and she's like, Yeah, you guys really do look like best friends. And the drawing that she drew, I'm like, oh my gosh. Like him on masked and then like them playing together. I'm like, I was like, oh my gosh, this is so emotional. So and then that's when he tells her that you know he kissed her because he thought she was her, but she was Gene, and said, Oh, I don't remember any of it. And that's when he realizes that Metzger lied to him. Yeah. Because when you're under Gene's control, you don't know what happened. I don't know why Metzger lied at all. He would be like, What does Sarah mean? I don't know. He just could have said, I don't know, and then Peter would never connect the dots.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But he had to make up the whole story of like, oh, she was like a former.

SPEAKER_02

I think it was just to show how shady and crappy he really was, like foreshadowing, like he didn't care about the life of a human, like hit the sister, Sarah. Yeah. So like it was just foreshadowing that, like, oh, this dude, you're gonna wanna hate him now. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

My thinking is that because when Peter asked him about V-Max, Mask was like, I have no idea.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because he has no connection to what it could mean. But with Sarah, he was probably thinking, like, if I don't say something, he's gonna know something's up. So I think that's why he had to lie, because I mean, liars tell more than what you want to hear.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So when does it say that I'm like, well, he's lying. If he said I didn't know, I would I would probably be like, maybe he's not a bad guy. But yep, nope. So Peter goes to uh Rosewood Island, and we find in the flashback that Sarah and uh Gene and her sister Sarah, or sister Sarah was taken by them to be experimented on because she's a telepath. And so Jean's there now, and um they do this whole like process. I don't know, I don't know how it works, but like to try to get her brainwaves and when she's like hopping, yeah, to figure out how they could like rec recreate it. So and then she finally realized she looks up at the vent. First I I saw the vent, I was like, oh, she's gonna like you know go through the vent to get to somewhere first, and then I thought about that, and then like at the bottom, it's like it's like vent max, but the paper is like what else is it v max? I was like, oh it's dark, yeah. I was like this is the last thing my sister saw. Was this last thing my sister saw was this room? Like wait, here's like you know, her sacrifice, because I always like sacrifice, hmm. But yeah, the V Max, like, oh shit. It's like and then she's like, does that see my sister's like, what's this goddamn room?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, very good. Yeah, honestly, I mean just talking about it, it was an incredible movie.

SPEAKER_00

And like how her brain, like as soon as we saw the VMAX, and then the the scan, like her brain says like starts like shh shh shh. And then you guys like it's evolving or mutating. But and then it's like the only hands that we will dispower are mine, and then pff, like it just see like unleashes that psychic wave that just blasts the glass and like sends everybody to like their frozen state or whatever, like into New York, and they got through to uh Ned and MJ, which you said was that and I agree, because MJ has like that tear in her eye, yeah, and no one else didn't like trying to figure out like what that was. And looking into it, it's more the fact that Gene was able to after Peter like they connected, that she got into Gene's brain and un MJ's brain and unlocked the memories. And that's why she was crying because she was remembering everything.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I was gonna mention that, like how like same thing with Ned. Like I think Jean did something to thank Peter.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Um, so that was intense, and then Frank's all like, hey, Spider, we have a problem. And then Spider-Man's um we're in the prison yard or the prison thing with the the hand. Yeah. Um Destined Dano Crudden, he directed Shang-Chi. Uh-huh. And so, like, that was one of the best martial arts, like, um, the fighting movie, the fighting in that movie, I think, is is squishy. I love martial arts fighting. Yeah. Because it's like dancing. It's like choreography and everything on Donald's. It's like shoot, shoot, whatever. So you go so gets the hand and like they're fighting like that's a cool scene. I love when like they're like traveling together and like jumping on each other and like flying through. I'm like, all right, cross and tiger, we got it, cool. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Um reminded me of ninja tour was the jump duck.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. I can see that.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then it finds out that um the uh damage control has something for him too, because he tries to like web the guns and the guns go through it. And so Gene's like, yeah, how's it feel? Having uh being friends with the people that have a contingency to take you out if you ever get out of line. Like, that's what they do. Yeah, I knew that too. When they the the shocker thing, like, yeah, they're just they're villains right off the bat. I don't know why no one else ever saw that. So Peter's fighting them, he's losing. Um Frank goes to the roof to like sniper Gene. Yeah. Um, and then Peter, Gene tells him, he's like, she's like, you know, people like us, we can't have friends, we can't have uh family. Um, those people are gone. That time is gone, but god damn, girl, like so much emotional weight in this movie. Yeah. And then finally she's like, Are you Peter Parker or are you Spider-Man? And that's when he takes off the inhibitor and you know, goes full spider mode. Yeah. And you think like, because with the scorpion, he was going to kill somebody. Yeah, but oh, that scene too when uh he comes home with the with the sword and he just breaks it. He's like, I'm both. I'm like, oh yeah. I cheered, actually, I'm not gonna lie.

SPEAKER_02

It was sweet, and the the soundtrack was like it was like Tom Holland's theme. Yep. But it was like slower piano beforehand, and then it became like a cinematic, like oh, and and then I knew immediately when they uh when the organic webs were stopped by the shock guns.

SPEAKER_00

Oh the uh the uh non-organic.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, the non-organic yeah. I knew that okay, that's foreshadowing that that webs are gonna blast through that. And then it it did again, it blue ball to guess where uh I was like, oh yeah, he's gonna go rogue, he's gonna like kill somebody. Like, I want to see him be violent, like Spider-Man. And it showed the spike by the dude's back, but even the web wrapped around, he still saved him. Yep. I'm like, it's cool to show that it his character still wants to save him, but like would have been cool if he just went crazy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It would have been cool, but I like that I like that better because it actually proved that he could be both. Because if he was the Spider-Man, he would have died. He would have killed him. But he can be Peter Parker and also save him and also fight him. I just love when he does the the web tornado. Was like that was epic. I was I got chills every time I saw it. Where he like flew down from the ceiling and he's like spraying everywhere and all around and he just goes down, grabs it, and pulls it up, and I'm like, oh, so good.

SPEAKER_04

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

And then he breaks through into a gene, and Jean's like, I'm more stronger than it was before I can get in your mind. He's like, do it. So goes in, talks to Aunt May, who gives her like the speech that she gave Peter about um being different, but also there's people that love him and like you know he's special. That's not because of your powers, but because of who you are and everything like, God damn, why am I crying again?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. You cried during it?

SPEAKER_00

I teared up. Yeah. And then cry cry. I cried in no way home. Yeah. But this one's like tearing up a couple times. Um so then Peter visits her in the vision in his mind and they both come to terms with like their loss. Necessarily Peter senses the gunshot and then he shields Gene gets shot and you see it because like it wasn't just like a regular gun but it's like it moved him.

SPEAKER_02

Oh it was a it was a 50 count. Like I saw the sniper I was like ooh yeah I'm like one of them's gonna die.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah because that's a freaking intense shot because like his whole they he moved when he shot him and he did like the whole Aunt May thing yeah from no way home he's like oh I'm fine I'm fine and he just falls over I'm like oh god like Devin's like are they going to kill him? She wasn't gonna die I'm like no but I was like 60 40 maybe no 60 40 no but 40 maybe I was like could this happen? Um but it turns out Gene saved him because she was breathing for him yeah like through her telekinesis the whole time when he takes her to the host him to the hospital and like she's there breathing and then she stops and he opens his eyes I'm like damn yeah yeah I thought at first um like no they're not gonna kill him and then I did think for a second I'm just like oh maybe they do and then that's just the end of Tom Hall and then I was like no yeah pretty sure I remember there being multiple movies.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. And then when Faith said that I'm just like no no he he's gonna survive. Yeah no and then that's another Punisher coming in to the hospital that was a comic. Yeah yep a picture of him holding Spider-Man I remember seeing that years ago.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. So I was like oh yeah and also he would never get like if the Punisher killed Spider-Man like the Punisher would be over you can never do another show with him or anything because everyone would hate him. Yeah. So yeah he's not dead I love the scene with him in Punisher though when he wakes up and he's like crying no it's like yeah but I saw you cry oh him with the mask like just Oh god yeah and also I love I got chills when um just the people outside yeah like how much Spider-Man meant to them to the the city and everything um especially for New York like no one cares about New York people like you don't care about each other and just almost they all came together for them and everything is like hey when you're ready to go I got a I got a plan.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah he walks we walks huh that part made me think of Stan Lee and it made me almost tear up when the people are outside cheering. Oh yeah think of Spider-Man 3 yeah yeah it said there would be a celebratory parade and Stan Lee was like you know I guess one person can make a difference and then later in the movie in Spider-Man 3 like there's the parade it brought me back to that I was like oh man yeah Stan.

SPEAKER_00

Oh god yeah so Peter walks out and then the little fake out while it was like there's Spider-Man like when they're looking up and Frank's there with the Spider-Man mask and he's like that's great. But then one quick thing is like the one kid that looks over at him like this the spider like the appears like that and then people online saying that that was Gene like saying goodbye thing because then the kids just goes back like goes back like Spider-Man Spider-Man but he's just like one part in the back I'm like I can see that yeah so and that's another thing about MJ getting back to that how she opened her memories because she's on the roof where they talked about going to MIT and she's holding the black Dahlia necklace they gave her from far from home and she had like that look in her it's like she knew you look confused.

SPEAKER_02

Did I look away from the screen and miss that probably then I don't remember her ever going back to the roof.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah she was on that roof and uh she was sitting there like the sun was rising because Peter was laying on the Peter was laying on the whatever rebar drinking coffee and then she camera goes to MJ saying on the roof on that roof like sitting there like clutching the necklace and just looks up I remember him laying but I feel like maybe that was the point I turned to Faith because she asked if that was the end of Tom Holland. Uh I I definitely looked away from the screen because I feel like I would have saw that yeah dang that's good writing too oh yeah it was a great scene too because like just the how the camera worked like it was like a side profile of her since it's like her hair was like down she looked down so it was like looking up kind of like smiling a little bit but oh yeah so well done. So then Peter like I said at the end he's talking to the detective like oh hey I can uh I can help you with this he's like no just rest yeah and then he goes in the the store and sees Ned that's why I don't like I think that Gene opened something in Ned but another thing that happened was when they're on the roof with MJ she's like when uh it was Gene she's like uh Drew Love's kiss breaks the spell yeah like MJ would vomit like god damn but I think with that is the handshake really did like Gene might have like opened up the thing but the handshake was the thing that really made Ned realize who he was because even his like he did the handshake and then he like the he looked confused. Yeah and he's like Peter I was like oh he remembers now like the handshake the handshake was the kiss because like Ned and M Ned and uh Peter have been best friends for like since childhood. So that's more like a connection even than with MJ because they were together for so much longer and I'm like oh my gosh that's so good.

SPEAKER_04

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_00

Again like that was tearing up at that end too just because like finally he's getting his friends back. It's like you and Elena's like oh it's so good to have the the lonely lonely guy having friends so what do you think about the post credit scene?

SPEAKER_02

It man I really like because for Marvel movies you're always waiting for that you're waiting for one or two and if it's just one it better be good and it was like clever but also like in my mind really lazy I'm like I'm like please something yeah like and then a lot of people are saying like oh that's Spider-Man and Smiles Morales that's Toby that's Andrew that's not him or that's him fighting Doctor Doom like there's a million things it could be but I wanted to see like something else. Yeah it just wasn't enough for me.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah because the end of the the spider tracker is like Spider-Man location unknown location unknown expansion out to like the the universe and it goes over and like one like empty spot was like location found. For him being there but yeah I was like okay cool whatever still better than the Captain America one at homecoming yeah it's like hey why are you guys still here I know a dude a dude in our theater like the moment the post credit scene came on and we all realized what the post credit was gonna be he was like this is bullshit this is bullshit and he started getting louder oh gosh he was like no he's like that's it and we all were like yeah I mean yeah I mean yeah that's it yeah so the moment moment the movie started somebody yelled Spider Man and we all were like yeah yeah so um that's the movie yeah incredible movie so good and it's just the one main thing I really kind of wished would have been in the movie is to have J Jonah Jamison.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah where where was he I wanted to hear him talking crap so bad. Yeah because like the whole thing's like we love Spider Man listen like okay where's like like that Spider-Man attacked the department uh the damage control center today he's like no water it blew up he put a tank into the thing here we pitch us a Spider-Man yeah I well I wanted to the moment I thought J Jonah Jameson was gonna come into play for sure but didn't so when he slammed into the police car he's just like we there he's a menace he's a menace he took he tries to kill cops yeah nothing like awesome I just want um the actor I can't remember his name right now I just wanted him back again he was in far from home like he's in the universe in no way home yeah yep but yeah whatever yeah and he uh there was he was actually at a professional baseball game like the actor oh yeah was spotted there and they showed him on the Gemotron and some like teenager was dressed as Spider-Man so then he looked back and be like he got like that I'm like that's amazing that's cool I love that they can like that he doesn't care about it it just goes with it. Yeah cool.

SPEAKER_00

Well yeah thank you all for listening um I'm glad you liked the movie yeah I I really need to go see it again. Yeah you pick up on things yeah kind of like the stuff I was talking about through most of it that I picked up after five times of watching it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah you know maybe I'll take my dad to go watch it.

SPEAKER_00

There you go. Have your brother seen it he's a big yeah my my Mike really loved it.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know if Joe's gone or not but my dad really likes Marvel. Oh he actually he usually hates on Spider-Man movies because he thinks almost none of them are good. Oh but No Way Home he liked okay is like the moment he saw Willem Dafoe especially he's like he's like oh that's the dude from like the very first one right I'm like yeah yeah because he's he's not as nerdy about it as we are though he did read all the comics and we haven't read all the comics so like that's I think that's why he's critical about the movies. Ah yeah because he really grew up reading everything. Yeah and like you did too so it's like you guys are gonna be more critical.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah but I'm also I can differentiate between the comics and like my own friend he's like did like this I'm like I don't care yeah he's like that's not how they introduced I'm like I don't care yeah I know true I mean I see enough movies too I know book to movie there's gonna be differences I don't want the same thing because I won't be surprised like I don't watch this like okay so this happens next and then this and then this and then this and it's like okay cool.

SPEAKER_02

We're just like whoa what oh okay so yeah I encourage everybody to watch the movie what's I mean it's made a billion dollars in five days so I'm pretty sure most of everybody's seen it yeah well is it was it like 300 something million in the US so far uh like opening weekend yeah it's 300 million yeah and that's just here yeah and then worldwide it was like 500 million it was like 900 million the first three days and then by Tuesday it was like a billion already yeah is it the highest grossing movie ever no like so far is it on track or no um it's on track it's up there um that's the thing that Tom Holland is part of the billionaire club because like endgame uh infinity war far from home and now this one yeah so it's like let's see highest grossing believe like it I will say it's taken so long in my mind for Tom Holland to establish himself as Spider-Man it's like everybody likes his movies and they like him when he's in Avengers movies. Yeah but they don't think of him as Spider-Man they're just like oh Andrew and Toby are still just Spider-Man like Tom's just the MCU guy. Yeah like I feel like now like it's a fully polished character and I really like him as Spider-Man.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah so right now it is in it's not the top ten yet it's number 32 actually I mean that's up there because that's all all time yeah. Well yeah because right now it's at 1.15 billion yeah uh the number one high scorching movie of all time is Avatar with 2.9 billion yeah and then Adventure Sun game with 2.7 and Avatar Way of Water 2.3 yeah so it's got a little bit to go but do you think Doomsday opening looking will beat it because there was a lot of hype like a lot of people love Spider-Man I feel like there was more hype for Spider-Man than there is for Doomsday. Yeah because I feel like Spider-Man was a continuation of because it was a a cliffhanger essentially because you know he didn't at the end no one knew who he was so like how's that going to play out so you know something people were like looking forward to to figuring out how that gets resolved where like Doomsday it's kind of like a whole new movie.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Where like the Russo like um MC uh Kevin Fige fucked up so bad with Jonathan Majors um because this was the Kang Dynasty which would have made sense because he was seen like in Loki, Ant Man and the Wasp and stuff so it leads up to that like how Thanos was in Guardians and the end credit scenes of different movies that led up to the Infinity War where this it's just like oh well if I Jonathan Major so Doom. Yeah okay yeah like we'd we'd never seen Doom before we don't know who he was or I mean unless you're a comic book fan you don't know who he is or anything.

SPEAKER_02

So I only know Dr. Doom from Lego Marvel on the Xbox 360 wow he's the only and he's not powerful in that game he's just a Lego character. Yeah he's I know nothing about him.

SPEAKER_00

He's insane yeah he is insanely powerful he rips Thanos's skull I mean his skeleton from his body yeah we he's insane he's like master of tech and magic and everything so like in the trailer like Stormbreaker he stops with two fingers I'm like yep this is gonna be bad. Yeah but you don't know who he is because no one's seen him.

SPEAKER_02

It's like realistically they all should die. Yeah and I don't know how they're gonna make the death so dramatic to the point where you actually feel it because now she's like oh they're just characters we haven't seen them in a while.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah there's rumors I heard that makes sense for a comic from the comic standpoint if they do it but people are gonna be pissed off if it actually happens how I think it's gonna happen. Yeah. Um so we'll see but I just feel like even with the trailer I was like like Infinity War trailer that thing was absolute cinema just the trailer itself.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah it was an odd deal yeah I remember that yeah and this one I was just like okay it it's it's equivalent to being a kid and having all your action figures and it's like um oh the video you showed me yeah yeah yeah like Yelena versus Mystique yay and like Shang-Chi versus uh Gannabit ooh I just put Iron Man's head on Doctor Doom's I don't have Doctor Doom toy I just put Iron Man oh my god that was so funny yeah but that's what it feels like it's just they're all there fighting each other for unknown reasons and Doris like hey we need to come together and then Steve Rogers is back I'm like okay it it better I'm gonna be mad if it's Steve Rogers like genuinely as much as I'd love to see him like they ended his story so well like perfect at the end of Endgame. Yeah and then he just died as an old man like lived a good life let him be happy I hope it's Loki I could I could see that too any version of Loki.

SPEAKER_00

Well again from speculation because all you get to see is speculation online what it could be and like well it makes sense. Captain Hindra no not doesn't make sense. A lot of people think that they do think that I think it's Loki I hope I think it's Steve but I don't think it's I mean it's hard to say I think it's Steve from our world that went back in time or back to Return the Stones and that's when he went to live with Peggy Carter. Yeah. But the Steve that's it's not the old man Steve but it's that Steve that lived with Peggy Carter because that's the whole point of Doom trying to stop the incursion because Steve moved to the universe he wasn't supposed to be at Washington incursion of that planet uh to the Storic Doom's planet blah blah blah blah blah that's why Loki goes to Steve to tell him like hey you need to get out of here because this universe is going to die and that's why he takes him to 616 and blah blah blah blah blah. Yeah. But again conjecture who knows if it's not I don't care if it is I don't care I just wanna see it anyway.

SPEAKER_02

When's the endgame coming out with uh the new scenes uh September next month I can't remember what day exactly you're going yeah oh yeah all right are you going yeah we're going we are going we are going yes we do need to go to that like truly as long as like like work's not getting in the way of movies for me that's that's my biggest thing like if I obviously if I'm out too late like I sometimes do care about sleep. Yeah but like for endgame I'll I'll suck it up.

SPEAKER_00

Like I don't I was the one time I saw Spider Man I was that I didn't get home till like midnight woke up at three went to work I'm like whatever. Yeah like with this most recent Spider-Man uh not the last time I saw it like the fourth time I saw it. Oh yeah but yeah yeah sleep is for the sleep before the week facts all right well thank you Vinny um doing this this was fun oh yeah um and again encourage you guys all to watch it great movie hopefully you watched it before listening to this yes because I did say spoilers at the beginning so it's all on you all right so uh next time I'll see you at the movies
