"פאודה היא הסדרה הכי קשה שעשיתי": עומרי גבעון בסינמה שו"ת פרק 44

עומרי גבעון, מהבמאים והתסריטאים הבולטים בישראל, האיש שמאחורי "בני ערובה", "בשבילה גיבורים עפים", "ביום שהאדמה רעדה" והעונות הרביעית והחמישית של "פאודה", מתארח בפרק ה 44 של סינמה שו״ת לשיחה עם אבי לודמיר על יצירה, התמדה, הצלחות, כישלונות, והדרך הארוכה שמאחורי סדרות שהפכו לחלק מהתרבות הישראלית.
גבעון חוזר לילדות שלו כילד אובססיבי לקולנוע, מספר על הימים שבהם גזר פוסטרים מהעיתון וחלם לכבוש את הוליווד, על הלימודים בתיכון לאמנויות בירושלים, ועל השנים שבהן כתב תסריטים בניו יורק יחד עם רותם שמיר בתקווה לפרוץ לתעשייה האמריקאית.
בשיחה דיברנו על סרט הביכורים שלו "שבע דקות בגן עדן", שנולד מתוך ימי האינתיפאדה השנייה והפחד ששרר ברחובות ירושלים, על המאבק הארוך לקבל מימון לסרט, ועל ההבנה שהצלחה אמנותית והצלחה מסחרית הן לא תמיד אותו הדבר.
חזרנו גם אל "בני ערובה", הסדרה שהפכה לאחת ההצלחות הגדולות של הטלוויזיה הישראלית ונמכרה לנטפליקס, ועל הרגע שבו תומר קפון נכנס לאודישן והיה ברור שהוא הכוכב הבא. משם המשכנו ל"בשבילה גיבורים עפים", לסדרה שנגעה באלפי ישראלים שמתמודדים עם פוסט טראומה, ולתגובות המרגשות שקיבל מאנשים שראו את עצמם על המסך בפעם הראשונה.
