It's the show for you if you're a female millennial entrepreneur trying to thrive in business without sacrificing your mental well-being. Emotional regulation is the key, achieved through movement, meditation, mindfulness, and more.
Why Emotional Regulation Matters for Female Millennial Entrepreneurs
Female millennial entrepreneurs face unique challenges in today’s business landscape. Many wear multiple hats: creator, leader, innovator, mom, and partner. While building their businesses, these women often confront pressure from external expectations and internal self-criticism. They balance business growth with personal lives, often neglecting their own needs in the process. The constant hustle can leave them overwhelmed, stressed, and on the verge of burnout.
Emotional regulation—the ability to effectively manage and respond to emotional experiences—is critical for long-term success. Whether handling the stress of scaling a business, dealing with difficult clients, or managing the internal battles of imposter syndrome, emotional mastery allows these entrepreneurs to stay grounded, make better decisions, and cultivate resilience.
The host, Jayna Swan, empowers incredible women to embrace their emotions rather than avoid or suppress them. By practicing self-awareness, integrating daily movement, and using mindfulness and meditation techniques, listeners will learn how to transform emotional challenges into opportunities for growth, creativity, and clarity.
We explore topics that will:
- Unlock Emotional Mastery: Discover how to shift from reaction to response and move from a state of overwhelm to one of control. We break down emotional regulation techniques that are simple yet effective, such as mindful breathing exercises, grounding techniques, and the practice of mind-body connection through movement.
- Embrace Self-Care & Self-Love: Learn how prioritizing your emotional well-being is key to your business growth. By practicing self-compassion and reframing negative thought patterns, you will develop an unshakable sense of self-worth, which translates into success and leadership.
- Move with Purpose: Through movement—whether it's yoga, dance, or even a daily walk—you can process emotions and release tension from the body. Physical activity is essential in maintaining emotional balance, and we’ll discuss the science behind how movement can enhance emotional regulation.
- Create Healthy Boundaries: Building a business can sometimes blur the lines between personal and professional life. We explore how to set and maintain healthy boundaries to protect your emotional and mental well-being, ensuring you can thrive in all areas of life without burning out.
- Gratitude & Mindset Shifts: We’ll teach you how to use gratitude as a powerful emotional regulation tool. By shifting your mindset from scarcity to abundance, you can transform how you approach your business's challenges, setbacks, and successes.

Ever feel like the six-month mark just slapped you in the face with the reality of your unachieved goals? That gap between January's vision board and today's reality can trigger a shame spiral that disconnects you from your worth and purpose.
Let's be honest – most of us aren't off track. We're simply in between versions of ourselves, navigating that tender space where old strategies have stopped working but new ones haven't fully kicked in. That uncomfortable middle ground isn't failure; it's evolution. When we hit this gap, our instinct is to panic, overcorrect, and push harder. "I just need more discipline," we tell ourselves. But urgency is often just a dressed-up trauma response – fight or flight masquerading as motivation.
What if, instead of hustling through the gap, you learned to regulate within it? This episode walks you through a transformative mid-year reset process: naming the gap without judgment, honoring your feelings, regulating your nervous system through breathwork, reconnecting with what truly inspires you now, and only then realigning your strategy from presence rather than panic. With Mercury retrograde approaching and Leo season on the horizon, this cosmic pause offers the perfect opportunity to reflect before you roar back into action.
Whether you're a Projector needing to recalibrate your invitations, a Generator tuning into what genuinely lights you up now, or a Manifester sensing shifting urges, remember: you are not behind, broken, or late. You are simply becoming. The Power of Naming the Gap
Speaker 1We're halfway through the year and if you're looking at your goals, your energy and your life and thinking, this is not where I thought I'd be, well, you're not alone, girlfriend. Maybe you had a vision board in January, a strategy, a dream, a six-figure launch plan and a version of you that felt so clear. But now it's July and, instead of feeling inspired, you feel off track, behind untethered. Well, this episode, yeah, this is your permission slip to pause, not to hustle, not to quit and not to spiral, but to regulate, because when there's a gap between your vision and your reality, your nervous system will try and make it mean something about your worth, and that's where we lose ourselves. So, today, we're going to breathe into the gap, we're going to honor what is here, and I'm going to walk you through the mid-year reset process, one that, through the mid-year reset process, one that, well, it'll bring you back to yourself without the shame. So let's begin, and we begin by naming it, because there is power in naming it. So there's a version of you, there's the version you know the year, there's the version of the year you imagined, and then there's, well, what actually unfolded? Maybe you had quarter three mapped out, maybe you thought you'd be launching something new, traveling or feeling the momentum by now, but instead you're tired, you're spinning, you're disconnected or wondering if you even want the same things anymore. If you even want the same things anymore.
Five Steps to Mid-Year Reset
Speaker 1Well, here's the truth. Most of us, we aren't off track. We're just in between versions of ourselves and that space, that in between space, it's tender. It's where your old strategies stop working, but your new ones, well, they haven't fully landed, they haven't fully kicked in yet, and it activates this urgency, this shame, this need to fix something. I have been there more times than I can count. Trust me, I have experienced this over and over and over. And you know I remember a July where I looked at my goals, my deadlines. And you know I remember a July where I looked at my goals, my deadlines, my income targets, my content plans and just felt well numb, because it wasn't that I didn't care. It's that I no longer resonated with the version of me who created the goals in the first place. Yeah, well, that's not failure. In fact, that's evolution.
Speaker 1So let's get real about what most of us do in the gap. When we hit that gap, we panic, we overcorrect, we push harder, we say things like well, I just need to be more disciplined. I just I've got to catch up. Let me just get these few things off my to-do list and I'll. Honey.
Astrological Insights for Each Type
Speaker 1No, let's be honest, urgency is often just dressed up trauma response. Truly, it's fight or flight disguised as motivation. So if you're listening to this, the chances are you've already tried to push. You've already burned out at least once, if not two or three times, and you always know how that story is going to end. So what if, instead of hustling through the gap, we learned how to regulate inside of it? When your nervous system is calm, well, that's when your creativity comes back. That's when your body feels safe and clarity returns. When you pause with presence, power rises again. You don't need to force clarity, you need to create space for it. So let's drop into original. That I call the mid-year reset.
Speaker 1You might want to pause this and come back with your journal, or just close your eyes if you're not driving, and just feel this in your body. First name the gap. Ask yourself where am I now compared to where I thought I'd be? And without judgment, just awareness. Let the gap become visible. Second step feel the feelings. Do you feel disappointed, ashamed, relieved, resentful. Well, just let it move through you without analyzing it Breathe, sigh, shake, cry, be still, whatever it is that your body needs. Just let it move through those emotions and those feelings. Number three we're going to regulate the body, so let's do this part together. You're going to drop your shoulders, place one hand on your heart and one on your womb or your belly, inhale deeply through your nose.
Speaker 2And exhale fully through your mouth, softly and slowly, again into your nose and out through your mouth. And one more time into your nose and out through your mouth, letting your body know I am safe and number four begin to reconnect with desire, asking yourself what still feels alive and then what no longer fits.
Speaker 1Finally, ask yourself, if I could begin again today, what would I choose? And simply let this version of yourself set the tone Not the one from January, but the one from today. Not the one from January, but the one from today. And number five you want to realign the strategy. Now, and only now, you can pivot, but not before you hit step five. Go one step at a time. Now it's time from presence, not panic, from truth, not tension. Presence, not panic, from truth, not tension. This is the moment most people miss and this is the one that changes everything.
Speaker 1So quick, a really quick, energetic download for those who love astrology and human design, like myself. We are entering Leo season soon, a time of bold self-expression. But before the Leo fire comes, mercury retrograde energy will be here and it invites us to reflect before we roar. This is the season of deep clarity, not performance. So, projectors like myself, this is your time to recalibrate your invitations. You don't need to initiate, just realign, and our generators and our manifesting generators tune in to what actually lights you up right now, not what sounded good six months ago.
You're Not Behind, You're Becoming
Speaker 1And reflectors. Take your time, feel into the rhythm of your environment. Manifesters, your urges may be shifting, so pause before the next surge and wherever you fall. This is a cosmic pause, an emotional integration window, so let's not rush it. Here's the reframe I want to leave you with. You are not behind, you are not broken and you are not late. You are simply becoming, and you are allowed to take a pause in the in-between, because the next version of your life, your business and your body of work. It doesn't need to be forced, it just needs to be felt. Your nervous system will guide you, but only if you listen. So here is your invitation Download the Her app, search for healthy emotional regulation on the app store or go to her-apppassioniocom you can also find these both in the show notes and just try one of the nervous system reset rituals this week.
Speaker 1Pick one guided meditation, one journal prompt or one set of affirmations and just give it a try. And if you love it, then join us inside the Her Collective. That's where you can get coaching, clarity and connection while you pivot, and if this episode helped you exhale a little bit, then send it to your business bestie and let's heal in community Until next time, pause, recalibrate and remember you are not starting over. You're simply starting from deeper alignment.
