Do you know what it means to have dense breasts? Neither did Jennie Dale. When she found out after her own breast cancer diagnosis, she got mad. Really mad.

Outraged that women in Canada were not being informed of their breast density and how it impacts their breast cancer risk, Jennie co-founded Dense Breasts Canada.

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • Why every woman should know her breast density score.
  • How to determine your breast density.
  • When you should start breast cancer screening.
  • Whether you need supplemental screening.
  • How to assess your risk for breast cancer.
  • Why we all need to be advocating for better breast screening guidelines.

Everyone should have a yearly mammogram starting at age 40. If you have dense breasts or other risk factors, you should also have supplemental screening. Please help spread the word.
