In the 16th episode of The Bookend, we sit down with a young and emerging writer Esibako Ndabeni from Pretoria, South Africa who is an accomplished author and a certified healer called sangoma in Afrikan. Her debut anthology Born to Kwaito was well-received amongst the fans of post-apartheid music genre Kwaito which originated in a small town of Soweto, Johannesburg in 1990s. Sacred Earth Philosophy, her second book of non-fiction, maps her journey and rite of initiation as a professional sangoma.
