Sep 25, 2023 Episode 7
Dane

Ever tackled the phobia of a dreaded dental visit? We kick things off with a personal tale of such an ordeal, navigating the terror and discomfort, only to find relief in the compassion of a skilled dentist. It's a reminder that regular check-ups, although often feared, are vital for maintaining good oral health.

But don't think it's all doom and gloom! We're twisting the narrative to inject some laughter as we share amusing anecdotes from our family life. Stories about my dad's eccentric ways of interacting with people will have you chuckling, as will the tales about my time in law enforcement. But it’s not all fun and games as we also pull back the curtain on the welfare system, shedding light on the realities and the abuse happening behind the scenes.

As we navigate through the lighter and darker sides of life, we also touch on the state of law enforcement in the U.S., the consequences of defunding police departments, and the dangers that officers face daily. Wrapping up the episode, we call on you, our listeners, to spread some positivity and show kindness to those around you. This rollercoaster of an episode is sure to draw you in, make you think, and maybe even inspire some much-needed change. Hop on and let's ride!

Speaker 1:

Man, crazy, crazy week we've had Crazy week. I've had, um, yeah, I've been in a lot of pain, not gonna lie, I had three teeth pulled and bone grafts, so, yeah, so I've got stitches in my mouth and all sorts of fun. We'll see if we can't. Um, I don't know. Let's see if we can get through this. I'm sure I can get it through this. This is gonna be a lot of fun, guys. I appreciate everybody as always. Thank you, guys so much for all the continued support. We just got done with the live man. It was a lot of fun. I had a lot of fun with it. We were drawing on this hat, doing all the you know doing the stuff man, just doing all the fun stuff. And it was a lot of fun, I enjoyed it. So let's get this, let's get this started.

Speaker 1:

So, like I said, this week I had um, what is going on? Hold on, let me exit. Hold on, my computer's acting crazy, stop it, okay. So this week, like I said, I went in I had to have three teeth pulled due to previous root canals. That, sorry guys, this might be too much detail, but I just want people to think I don't have a myth mouth or something. I had three previous root canals and one of them was in high school. I was in a bad car wreck, almost died in that car wreck. I bit down so hard and I cracked the crown that was on it. Not having boo-coo's of money to go sit there and get it fixed, pretty much that crown has just deteriorated until the tooth deteriorated and now I had to get that tooth pulled. The other ones are two other root canals. I had to decide what I want to do, couldn't get crowns on them. I thought they'd last longer than they did. They didn't and I paid for it, so they had to pull those teeth. It was one of the worst days I've ever had in my life. And then to go in put stitches in, it's a crazy deal. So we see my son. My son is redheaded, just bright, worn and label, and I didn't put two and two together.

Speaker 1:

I've noticed every time I've gone to the dentist in the past it's my biggest fear is the dentist, and it's because I've had bad experiences with the dentist. I've had it to where I tell them that I'm feeling pain and they go no, you're not, you're just feeling pressure. I'm like listen, dude, I can feel this in my left pinky toe. I felt the jolt of pain like a piece of just electric wire just went straight through my body, straight down to my pinky toe and exited there, and this electric bolt is from Zeus himself. Okay, I felt pain. They're like no, you didn't, and I just had to sit there. So it's one of my biggest fears, always has been a biggest fear, and I don't know, it sounds like I'm like have a lisp or something. Well, it's one of my biggest fears. And then what happened then is I just I hate going. I just do so.

Speaker 1:

I went to the dentist the other day. They went in, pulled the teeth Throughout the whole thing. I had to get multiple shots. Even the dentist was like man, this is a lot more shots than we have to give people. And I was like okay, well, I'm feeling pain and you can tell when the dentist was like not really sure if you are so, they're kind of like sticking, like you feel that I go Absolutely. I felt that he's like oh well, you shouldn't have felt that. I was like well, yes, I am aware I shouldn't have felt that, but I did so then they get me another shot.

Speaker 1:

The dentist is great, probably one of the best dentists I've ever had. They're I don't want to like. I know if you listen to this, I'm very sorry, ma'am. I know you're like a dental assistant. I don't know if you're past that. I don't know what your level is, but I appreciate you more than you'll know. She actually knows me from the area I work in as well, so she's awesome. They did a great job.

Speaker 1:

It just no matter what. It sucks. I mean, there's nothing you can. It's you don't ever go to the dentist going like, oh boy, I'm so excited and it sucked, boy. At one point they were putting stitches in and I could feel it. And the dentist was like, well, we're almost done. And I was like, well, just do it, just do it, don't give me another shot, I'm gonna take it up and do it. And I'm just sitting there feeling it Did. I have tears in my eyes, looking like a big old baby, and they're like are you okay? It's like I guess I don't know. So I went through that process, got the stitches in and then now I've got stitches in my mouth. My mouth is swollen. I've been taking all this medicine and then like barely eating anything. So I mean it's kind of a benefit there. Hopefully I'll lose weight on this whole expedition we got going on. It's it. Has it just sucked.

Speaker 1:

I've never had a dentist like give me their personal cell phone number and reach out to me multiple times. So it's a pretty cool deal. He's reached out to me a couple of times in the last couple of days. That's not something you have these days. You don't have a dentist reaching out. You don't have a doctor's reaching out like they used to. Hey, how was your plan going? Is everything going all right? Do you feel okay? Is that going the way it should? You don't have that anymore and it's crazy. It's crazy especially when we pay as much as we do for these services and our insurance pays as much as they do. It's good to it's good to have someone that cares, and this man cares. He's reached out to me a couple of times Good dude Doing the best he can. You know it's awesome and you just don't have that. You just don't.

Speaker 1:

But as we're going through this, I've kind of went all over the place. My son, red hair, okay, dang, focus. Sorry guys, I need to get in the hell of me today. So I never really put two and two together until he kind of talked to me. He's like what, do you have any red heads in your family? I was like do I? And my dad was born with red hair, my wife was actually born with red hair and my son is the firecracker of red hair. Well, pretty much red heads.

Speaker 1:

They take a lot more pain medication, take more anesthesia, they take everything to dull everything down. And I never put two and two together until having to deal with my son with surgery. And then now the dentist is like well, you know that it's proven that this isn't this, because if you're red head you have actually higher pain. I don't know. It is Pretty much, takes a lot more shots. It's good when you have a dentist that listens. I've been to so many dentists where they won't listen to you. You're like dude, I'm feeling pain. No, son, there's no way you're feeling pressure. This guy listened, gave me more pain medication than he's probably given anybody, and he even said man, you've gotten a lot. But at the same time I got a lot of work done on one a day. It was about four hours of just sitting there, excruciating, just awfulness. But hey, it's the better myself. So I can be here forever for my babies, as long as I can at least not forever. That's a bit of an elite, but you know, bad teeth can spread infection in your body, all sorts of stuff. So hopefully this will help me out and eventually I can get some implants or something like that. That's above my pay grade right now. My babies have come first and these had to happen because I was just in excruciating pain. So, yeah, so now that's where we're at with that.

Speaker 1:

And then on top of that, my father. He's an ICU. He's had a lot going on. We went and visited him this weekend. It's probably it's hard. It's hard tearing up thinking about it. My dad and I have always had a really good relationship. You know I've said things about my dad that paints a bad light on him, but he's a good dude, very good human. We've all made mistakes. He's made mistakes in his past, but he owns those mistakes. Well, we went to see him this last week and seeing him in that bed being fragile and weak man, that kills me, kills me. We grew up at the pool table at our house and all I could remember is the times we'd play pool and boy, this is rough, but you know what you guys want me. This is me the times we're playing pool and being able to move around and play pool.

Speaker 1:

My dad can't really walk right now and it's just hard. You know it's hard to see. Hold on a second, okay, all right, there we go. It's hard to see the man that you have looked up so much to and being a strong individual that he is and being everything that he is. It's hard to see this side. It's hard to see him fragile, him weak, he might be able to move, and having to see people take care of them, and it's Unfortunate. It's life, you know, I see it all the time at work. I see Death, I see sadness, I'd see all this stuff. But it's hard when it's yours, and I know it and I and it just it's a different ballgame, but it is what it is.

Speaker 1:

By the time we left my dad, he's a trip. Okay, um, he's a trip, so he's in there and he's got my sense of humor, I got his sense of humor. Let's put it that way. We're both smart asses. We like to have fun with people and we like to push people's buttons, just messing around with them. So it was good to see him with the nurses, messing with the nurses and being his normal self.

Speaker 1:

Um, last couple times I was on the phone with them he could barely talk, just real weak, found out he's extremely dehydrated, not taking care of himself the way he should. Had been able to get out of his recliner in weeks. And I didn't know this. You know he won't tell you much. He won't tell you much until it's too late. You're like, oh my god, what are you doing? Luckily my brother being a fireman in a medic, he's near him and my brother's picked up a lot of the slack that I can't do because I'm so far away and I have babies and it's a lot of excuses, but it's hard, life's hard, it's a hard deal and this week it's hit me square in the mouth several ways, including going to the fucking dentist. But uh yeah, sorry guys, that's a little bit too much of my personal life. But that's what I'm trying to do, just kind of show where how my life is and how it all goes. And it sucks.

Speaker 1:

You know, seeing your idol just Struggled to even go with daily, daily things. Well, where I was talking, my wife and she's asking me stories about my dad and stuff and I mean said he likes to mess with people. He likes to mess with them nonstop. But my dad also can be a giant tit bag at sometimes too. He hates medication that you have to drink. He can't do it. He can do it, he just doesn't want to do it. He's like a child. He doesn't want to have anything taste bad in his mouth. Well, suck it up, buttercup, you need it. That's what you're gonna have to do. So I guess this male came in. He's a male nurse. He has told me that his male nurse was sitting there and he's like, well, it's not a pill. My dad's like, well, I only take pills, so they. Eventually the guy was like what is a pill? You just put it in water.

Speaker 1:

My dad, being a smart ass, is like son, you can't con a con artist. And that's one thing is funny by my dad it's he's always cons people. It's it's been a funny thing. It's not like a shitty con, it's just he likes to mess with people. I still remember vividly one of my best friends Growing up love basketball, good basketball player.

Speaker 1:

I always suck. Good understand what the hell I'm doing. I just played. I like to hit people was fun until you found out you foul. I don't need a way. I wasn't good at basketball, he was.

Speaker 1:

So my dad would come out. We lived in the culter sack and he would come out and when he'd come out he would grab the ball and he told my buddies like I'll bet you $20 and slam this ball right now. My buddy's like bullshit. My dad, at this point you know he's like I bet you, I can. So my buddy's like no, can't do it, can't do it, no way. So he bet him the one thing about my dad he grew up in the streets of Los Angeles. He grew up in some bad areas or whatever. He hung out back, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I think sometimes I love my dad to death. I think sometimes his story, his stories, are like big fish, until someone comes up and they find out it's true. So it is like big fish. You're like, oh well, that's wild. So my dad Says okay, $20. He grabs the ball and he slams it on the ground and he goes give my fucking money. My buddy's like ha ha, but you didn't slam dunk. He said I didn't. I didn't tell you I'd slam it. He said I told you I'd slam the ball. I didn't tell you I'd slam dunk it. Give my fucking $20. I'm buddy, had a pay-am.

Speaker 1:

It was a life lessons. When we play, I could say we put, we grew up playing pool and stuff and my dad I'm here to mess with you. We'd play pool and we bet my whole childhood. Why lose money? My friends will lose money. We'd take money. It's just never knew. It was just always. It's the way it was and that's how my dad was. If I knew I shoot dice, he'd be out there having me shoot dice, with them stealing all my money. So it was good seeing them con Saint-Telnadu, don't con a con artist. And the guy didn't understand. My wife never heard my dad say this and she's like what's kind of funny.

Speaker 1:

It's like, well, that that was our life, that was the way we grew up and and so my wife sort of asked me questions on the way there about my family and growing up and how different our families were. My house is chaotic. Growing up, my mom has a home daycare. My family is the kind that we'd rather yell and get it out instead of backstab each other the next day or whatever. It's just like we'll tell you F you do your face and be done with it. My wife kind of pointed out Some of these factors about what kind of makes me me and it's what's made me me. My wife is the way she is because the way she grew up and it. We have these experiences in life and that's what makes us us.

Speaker 1:

You can either Suck it up and be better from it or you can either just sit there and go, oh man, oh man, I'm a victim of society. The second part pisses me off, you know, don't do that. Don't be a victim of society. Suck it up buttercup and be better from it. I've had a lot of shit happen in my life and it's made me who I am and I'm glad it's happened. You know there's a lot. Looking back you're like, ooh, I really wish I didn't witness that, but it made me who I am and it made me believe in the benefit, the, the benefits of life that I believe in that everyone should deal with and everyone should have. Everyone should have a happy home, everyone should have their house being a safety place and we were talking about that and my son for the longest time. All he dealt with really was my wife or me, or our house.

Speaker 1:

Like I said, our house is completely Different from everywhere else. Our house now is quiet. It's calm. Most of the time is dark because we leave the blinds closed. I don't, it's just. We like to sit there, watch TV, relax, play with the kids, do what we need to do, let them run around, listen, watch them. They're stupid cartoons and this stem woman and Pink with coveralls or overalls, old miss Rachel, that chick is like baby crack. But that's what we do in our house and I never really realized it until my wife was talking to me about it and Really she broke it down that she thinks our house is so chill and Kate, just calm, because our lives at work are so chaotic and the shit we see, the stuff we deal with. You know we deal with enough stress and chaos on the outside that we don't want to have that at home with our houses are. It's our safety place. Our houses are calm place and I never really thought about that. I was like man, that's kind of crazy. You know, we don't. We don't scream at our house. If our son goes around screaming with a hey man, let's do our inside voice outside he gets to play and scream. He still screams on the inside. Let's be for real. But it's chill, it's crazy.

Speaker 1:

I go to my parents house now. They're both losing their damn hearing. Their TVs on 6,000. My mom has a home daycare so there's kids in and out screaming. I get overwhelmed at their house and don't even watch a scary movie at my mom's house. You have a heart attack. Scary movies, I've realized our majority of it's the damn music. And when your TV is on 9,000. Oh Shit, I get stressed out. I can't carry my gun in there, man, I'll be shooting her TV. I can't do. It shits. It's stressed out. They're screaming at each other. My family man, what they're? Why? Telling you so? I received the Medal of Valor and and when I was there for the Banquet, my parents came and, like I said, they're both losing their hearing. So, as my parents my brother at my undershare was there at the same table my wife and we're sitting there and they're yelling at each other and they don't realize they're yelling at each other. They're just sitting there and like, doing the stuff. So they're giving out awards and stuff.

Speaker 1:

And there's one part I remember vividly. They were giving the sheriff the year. And they're talking about the sheriff the year smokes, meets for the towns and does all this stuff. And he's amazing person. You know, look at all the way he does blah, blah, blah. He's a good dude, but it's just funny how that like come on, man, you wrote that yourself, get out of here. Well, when they were talking about smoking meats for the whole town, my dad thinks he's whispering to my mom and goes that's not what I hear. He smokes. I was like, oh my God. And that dude was sitting at the table behind us. I was like you've got to be shitting me right now my brother's looking at me shaking his head. I'm like, oh my god, this is also the first time my sheriff has ever seen my dad or met my dad.

Speaker 1:

My dad smoked a lot for his whole life. Well, he had his open heart surgery. Since he had their bypass, whatever it is since he had that he quit smoking. I'm proud of him. I never thought this day would happen. Unfortunately, his health has gone downhill since all this, but he's abused his body. He's had a rough life, done a lot of stupid things. I love my dad more than anything, but I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. And he's quit cold turkey and stuff.

Speaker 1:

Well, growing up he would always have this cigarette, no matter what. He'd come to our football games, he'd have a cigarette in his mouth. He'd have a cigarette in his mouth. The cop would come up to him like you can't smoke, I don't fucking smoke, it's my pacifier. And that would confuse the shit up people. He just keeping his mouth or in his ear or whatever. That's where he kept it. So my sheriff has never met my dad until his banquet. We're at this nice banquet. Everyone's in suits or an. I'm in my class a's and stuff. My dad's in there with a cigarette in his mouth and my sheriff said the whole time she heard her husband. We're like I wonder if Dan's dad's gonna like that or not. He did not, luckily. Luckily he had stopped smoking this time. But again, it's my fucking pacifier, it's, it's funny, it's just it just.

Speaker 1:

Good stories about my dad. They're crazy. Um, he's a hoot, but it's just, it's just, it is what it is. You know I'm life sucks sometimes it gets hard, but you just get through it and uh, that's why our house is quiet. We try to get through it that way. This has gone all sorts of ways. This is what my plan for this podcast. But it's kind of why I like this podcast. We can go in all sorts of directions and I figure People are really liking the stories of my family. So I have got 37 years of fucking wild stories of my family and you want story fan like family stories, son. I got it, but it's just, it's crazy. But in the live we're having fun in the live. I know this is kind of switching subjects, but I think you got enough of my family this. So my live.

Speaker 1:

We're sitting there talking about I played all our ranting in the background. Again, I know dying about this damn all around me again, but I thought I'd be kind of fun to kind of go into that a little bit. So we're talking about all these damn benefits and stuff and for the longest time I sucked up, I kept my pride. It's like I'll never do it, I'll never take it, I'm just gonna do me and I'm not gonna abuse it. Being their first responder, you see how many people abuse the system and abuse all the shit. You know they sit there and they take all this government assistance and don't really they don't work, they don't help in society in any way. They all stood at home Doing absolutely nothing.

Speaker 1:

There's one house I remember going into the videos on the fire department. This time I was a shift lead and I had a rookie with me. So we get called out about three I don't know, it's about 1 am In the morning, not three about 1 am In the morning week called out to a heart attack. So we had there, we go in and I was on the fire department. We had, we did our own medical but we didn't transport, we waited for the ambulance. And we go in this house and we walk in this.

Speaker 1:

This trailer, it's nasty trailer. There's this big old woman I'd say maybe 600 pounds with this iPad that made it look like it was someone's cell phone and she's sitting there playing. You can hear it. She's playing Candy Crush, as I'm talking to here and here here. Excellent, sweet Tastic, and you're like what? The lady Where's he at? And she pointed down the hall. I was like okay. So I said rookie, come on, let's go. So we go down the hall. My rick is carrying the, the jump bag, and this house is nasty, nasty, nasty. And I get down to start dealing with the dude. Oh, you can still hear in the other room, sweet Tastic, excellent, you're like, really, lady, you know you give two shits. So we're dealing with this dude right here.

Speaker 1:

Neither one of these people work. This is a household full of people like this. That didn't work. They all sat there playing on their iPhones, eating their fudge rounds. As all the brands new stated and it's true, that's true. They don't buy healthy foods with this, this government assistance money, as they all have like big screen TVs in the house that should be dilapidated and no one should live in. And then they all have these iPads, and iPhones are way better what we can afford because we're actually working. So we go in there.

Speaker 1:

I'm dealing with this dude with a heart attack and the rookie starts to set the bag down. I said don't do it. Well, the rookie, being naive, is like, well, why? And I looked up at the ceiling. Now, as you look up the ceiling, it's moving. And he was like, oh my god, I go. Yes, do you not set that bag down because they won't have to go through every pocket looking for cockroaches? There are cockroaches on this. Still on that were unbelievable. Now take it mine. They have the biggest screen TV you can imagine at the time. They all have iPads, are all playing, having a good old time, that they're just food everywhere. That's why. It's why they've cockroaches, food everywhere.

Speaker 1:

So we deal with this dude and you just sit here and you look at this. These are the people that are abusing the system by not working. They sit at home, they play video games, they sit there and eat all this food. The only time they get out is to go buy food and then sometimes they have people bring in food and they're all doing it with your welfare check. So we were kind of talking about this and for the longest time, my pride would let me do. It said no, don't do it. But after about 17 years of watching people abuse the system, not doing anything but sitting at home eating fudge rounds and all this stuff, and Sitting there eating mac and cheese or steaks that no one else can afford, I Got tired of it. So my wife and I Baby for them is expensive.

Speaker 1:

So we went and we applied and, wouldn't you know it, we make too much money, even though we live paycheck to paycheck, we make too much money to get assistance. I was like, well, isn't that some shit? We, we work, both of us, crazy amount of hours. We don't make a whole lot of money, we make okay money. And Then you see this that these people don't do anything and they can get all this stuff for free free cell phones, free iPads, assistance with this, assistance with that and a paycheck. So you get like Housing allowance, you get food allowance, then you get cell phone allowance. You get all this and you get a paycheck. And then someone argued me like, well, their paycheck is not that much. I go, it is a lot when you don't have to pay rent cell phone, food or any of that, that's a lot of money. That's a. That is a lot of money. You take away on my paycheck food allowance, like food, the food allowance, the damn cell phones for free. You take away the cable bill and you take away this stuff. Sure shit, that's a lot of money.

Speaker 1:

So we applied again, didn't get approved, and I was like, well, son of a, you got to be kidding me and it just, you know, you suck up your pride and say I'm gonna do it and it just didn't. It didn't, it did not, it did Not work in our favor. But that's the crazy thing about it, man, you have so many people abusing it and then you have the people that are like, fine, fucking, I'm gonna do it. I'm actually a productive member of society. I go out there, try to help people every day and I still can't get it ridiculous. We're decollas man. We gone down some some crazy crazy times, big crazy times. Have you seen? I don't know. I don't know. I'm talking to you like we're, but have you seen on the news? Yeah, son, well, there's a shooting at the old state fair, oklahoma State Fair. We had a shooting.

Speaker 1:

Oklahoma State Fair has always been a place that I'd love to go. I'm a great state fair of Oklahoma. It was always a place that you would go, but you knew after sundown don't go people getting stabbed. You just don't go after sundown. You know at sundown, that's it, you're out. Well, this weekend some people Um, you can't say thugs anymore because that's offensive to certain people. There's a group of teenagers that were in Um Street guilds can't say gangs anymore. So we'll say they were in a guild, like we're in a damn video game. They're in this street guild. I Don't know if they really were, I'm just making jokes that you have some kids. They got an argument, someone got shot and then people got arrested. The whole place went chaotic. Some people got trampled, all sorts of stuff. You can't go to state fair anymore Like you just be stabbings. Now we got people getting shot at the state fair. Huh, wild, wild, wild times.

Speaker 1:

And then you have some stories are awesome. I was going through the stuff on the state fair and there's one story it's awesome. This lady is looking for this girl. They want to go ride a ride in this girl instead of leaving her daughter that was on the ride with her. This random chick stays with her daughter until she's able to get up there and help her child. So think about it. You send your child up to a ride because you're not gonna ride the ride, some random persons on their ride as well, and the shooting starts and this random person has the option to run or the option to stay and Help this little girl. So this little girl sitting there, probably scared out of mind, and this woman stays with her until her Mom can get up to the ride and grab her and they all run and it's awesome. It's awesome here. I mean, it's not awesome, it's. You should never happen.

Speaker 1:

But you hear these stories like this. You know, I man. There is some hope in the world that someone would suck it up and just say you know what, I'm gonna hang out and I'm gonna be here with you. Crazy. And it's only happening more and more. There's supposedly at the fair supposed to be cops with and security guards with Metal detectors and everything you need to stop this, but it's still gonna happen. And then I know you're gonna have a group of people going. We need guns control.

Speaker 1:

These were kids with firearms. Hey, teenagers with firearms, probably. I don't know their age, I don't really know enough about it. They're still investigating it. From judging from the videos, I'd say probably teenagers, maybe early 20s Some of them were not the age to have firearms people.

Speaker 1:

And you have these people to say, oh, we need gun control, and there's an extent I can agree with you on some extent. But at the same time, the people that are doing these shootings Normally don't buy the guns legally. They're gonna get guns that you cannot buy and they will find any means. Gangsters don't follow the law. That's why they're called gangsters. Outlaws Don't follow the law. That's why they're called outlaws. They don't follow the law. So if you put a law that says you can't have guns, guess what? Yep, they're still gonna find a way to fucking get guns. It's crazy. You can't even take your kids to do this stuff, because this is where we're at and it's only gonna get worse.

Speaker 1:

And people talk about Defunding law enforcement, not thinking about the outcomes. Okay, miss Susie Q that hates law enforcement because of systematic racism Doesn't understand. The only reason she can say the things she can say is because the military men and women that step up to fight for her country and law enforcement that sit there and keep things in order. If these criminals know that there's no consequences to their actions, it's gonna get worse and that's what kills me. People talk about defund this, defund that, abolish police, and you have all these like kids that scream anarchy and stuff they don't understand. Without law enforcement, your ass could have anything happen to you with anarchy. Yes, I know you guys think it's cool to put that a on your thing and go. We don't need society's government to stay Okay, cool and guess what.

Speaker 1:

That dude that's a hillbilly that lives in the country doesn't give two shit. You wear eye shadow. He's gonna beat the shit out of you just because you wear eyeshadow and big-ass pirate boots that go up to your kneecaps. Because the guess what. He thinks you're weird and he's gonna beat the shit out of you and you have no way to defend yourself. Even though that you sat there and you prayed to Satan or whatever it is, you don't have ability to defend yourself. And guess what? That guy knows there's no consequences to what he's gonna do and he's gonna do it. It's gonna happen. There's all you can go in any single way. You can go left to the right, right to the left. Anyway, you want to go. People are know there's gonna be no outcome and they're gonna attack people they don't like just because they know that they can and that that that affects police budgets.

Speaker 1:

You know everyone thinks that these law enforcement agencies have crazy amount of budgets and some do. Your big agencies they do have these crazy budgets, but they still they need that budget. They need it. You know my area. We Are paycheck to pay to, like every. We are barely struggling to pay salaries. Where I'm at, yet alone the training, everyone claims that well, we need this, we need that. You need law enforcement with more training. Training costs money. Where I'm at, we spend majority of ours in in salaries and we don't make much. We make 34 to 36 thousand dollars a year. That's not a lot of money.

Speaker 1:

What it really did is it? The whole D fund movement is cut our funding? Hold on, all right, sorry about that guys. Oh, that's loud, um. What it really did is it cut our Funding for officers. So now we've made our deputies were used to have backup. Now you really don't have backup. We have men and women that are going out there to calls that they should never go to by themselves, but they are.

Speaker 1:

And then, just like just now, I have a deputy that's out by himself and he's calling me and Ask him any questions, saying you know. Just that's pretty much what is he. I'm an investigator for his shift, but that's what it's crazy. If he gets a call, he's by himself and has to call me out or call somebody else out to go back him up. And that should never happen, especially in the times we're in, especially in the moments that we're in that people are shooting cops just because they wear a uniform. No one should be by theirself anymore.

Speaker 1:

I watched a video and it kills me. I watched a video I think it was West Virginia earlier. I watched this video or this local dude. He's crazy and this officer did everything he could To help this guy. This guy is Hep C positive, who knows what else he is. He's batshit crazy. And this cops trying to deal with them and this cops by himself. This guy breaks out of the window that he broke into the house, the cops trying to talk him out, trying to calm down the guy saying he's gonna kill you. You call the cops or I'll kill you. And they got the cops like I am the cops and he's like no, you're not. Blah, blah, blah. The dude's drug-induced socosas. Probably he's got mental problems but a lot of its drugs, so he's dealing with this and this guy Pops out of that, breaks another window instead of going out the window he came in, breaks out another window, or, going out the door next to him, breaks out another window, cuts himself to pieces I can't tell if there's something in his arm and he starts running at this cop, but naked, covered in blood, and Again people there's hit or miss.

Speaker 1:

Some people are like man Sorry, I gotta get my phone away from I don't know why. It all of a sudden cracked funny and I read the comments. So what happened is that he starts running up the cop covered in blood and the cops shoots him. There's a lot of people are like man, that cop had very good patients. He tried to help him. You tried to help him, but then you had a lot of people like why didn't he taste him? Why didn't he do this? Why didn't he do that? He should have just done this, should have done that.

Speaker 1:

This guy was by himself Dilling with the dude that has highly infectious diseases, covered in blood and shit, running at you and you're telling him stop. I can't tell if he has something in his hands. But then you have a lot of people that have never done this job that want to say well, why didn't he just taste him? When you taste somebody, you still have to get up on them and Take care of them. This dude is covered, and who knows what, of highly infectious diseases, and people expect us to just be able to go. We're not. We're not invincible people. If you are covered in all this stuff and you have AIDS and you have this and you have that, we can get that. Especially rolling around with a dude's butt naked, covered in his own feces and blood, you can get it easily, easily. And there's so many people that were like well, that's the problem here in the United States, you're shooting unarmed men. First of all, you can't tell if he's unarmed, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I didn't really watch the whole rest of it, just because I wanted to go straight to the comments and read the comments. And this is what happens now. If you had two officers there, maybe you could get a de-escalate a little bit more. One of you could sit there and have the taser and Also kind of help, get on top of them and get them apprehended, and then that way you're not rolling around as much with this Dude covered in blood and feces and everything and that's the just, it's so easy to sit here and watch a video. I do it too. I watch other police videos. I'm like, oh, don't do that. I watch these police videos and I'm like, oh man, that's not good, but I'm not there, I don't know what they're dealing with.

Speaker 1:

And then you have all these people that are on the other side like, oh, the cop was in fear for his life. Oh, I don't see them out, wrestling dudes covered and highly positive Hepatitis blood, wrestling with the dude. Like each has the job. I did choose a job to help people. I did not choose to wrestle but ass naked men covered in their own feces and blood While they have hepatitis. That's not. That's not why I got in this job. It happens. It does welcome the glorious sides, but you're always gonna have someone says you should have done this, should have done that. Now a lot of people are saying, hey, he had very good restraint and did the best he could for the longest time he could until he had no other option. The guy chasing him. He's like stop, stop, stop. And the dude keeps coming for him. Now, it no matter what, there's gonna be someone's gonna complain about what you're doing and it just, it's crazy.

Speaker 1:

But that's police budgets. You take where a budget, you take away our backup. It doesn't take away bear cat. We don't have a bear cat where I'm at, never had a bear cat, nowhere near getting a bear cat. You've taken away my backup. You've taken away a lot of things where I'm at.

Speaker 1:

You have to buy your own service weapon, our ammo, some it is provided to us for the most part. Any extra stuff you want, you provide your uniforms. You get a uniform when you get hired and You're pretty much on the rest for your own. You know if you're out there and you're going through barbed wire and you get a rip in your crotch area, guess what you got to buy your own pair, um, we don't have budget. Our budgets been cut, our budgets been. We don't have the money for it.

Speaker 1:

And that's a lot of places. There's a lot of places where the law enforcement officer buys his own firearm, has to buy his own ammo, has to buy his own uniforms. Sometimes some agencies, they have to pay for their own gas. I know some agencies that still use their own vehicles. That's wild. That's wild. No point whatever behind my own gas and my own uniform and not make good pay. I mean that's Now you're asking too much, sorry. I love my job and I love helping people, but I'm not. I'm not doing that. You know it's that's where we're at and this is what the D fund movement has done. And then you have all these people that are Screaming D fund because that's what the media is telling them.

Speaker 1:

Guys, look open your eyes and look. Look what's going on. Right now. The government's given out more money than they've ever given out to just random people to get them to be Reliant on the government. No time in the history of us have people been so reliant on the government. Our food government regulates. All this stuff is regulated by the government. Yes, I can work for law enforcement and still have things I don't like about the government. It's mind-blowing.

Speaker 1:

So, yeah, people getting free money, getting free benefits, getting all this stuff and guess what way they're gonna vote? They're gonna vote whoever keeps them getting that free shit. If they rely on free shit, guess what they're gonna keep voting for free shit. Same thing. They're taking away law enforcement. They're the, the media and the government. They're taking away law enforcement, whether you believe it or not. Watch. They're pushing for Smaller police departments, are pushing for stuff. They're pushing for that.

Speaker 1:

Guys, if you think law enforcement's rough, wait till martial law comes into effect. Wait till the government has to step in. You want to talk about fights, rights being violated? Just wait. Right now you're local law enforcement. They are the same as you. They are the, we, the people, and we are the people. Well, the people don't want to believe it. A lot of us look at us like we're the government, but we're not. And watch, if we keep pushing the way we're going, man Budgets keeps going down and people aren't getting taken care of the way that they should be taken care of, it's bad. And then martial law is gonna kick in. And you think it's rough? Now, just wait, brother, it's gonna get. It's gonna get hairy, but it's just.

Speaker 1:

It's what they want if they can control you look at, covid code is a prime example of controlment let's see if we can make people stay at home at our wheel and do what we want to do. And they're trying to do it again, after they already told us to bag of dicks. They already told us well, actually, the stuff really didn't help. This stuff doesn't work. The mask doesn't work. These mandates don't work. The shot sometimes works, but it really doesn't work. Your natural immunity actually is better than the shot. And they're trying it again. They're trying it again. They're talking about shutting stuff down again. That means more free fucking money for people, more controlling Just wait, it's crazy, it's, it's outlandish. But if you, if you slowly just pay attention to it, look and you'll see that it's coming again and it's going to see how much they control.

Speaker 1:

There's got to be a time that we say I'm done with the controlment and, yes, local law enforcement is on the same side as the people, because we are the people. And sorry, we went all over about budgets and stuff and all this stuff, but it's the truth. That's how we're at. Okay, more fun stuff. Let's talk about fun stuff.

Speaker 1:

So someone asked me one of my most embarrassing moments on law enforcement. So I was still in training and while I was in training, my FTO at the time. So we go to this house there's I can't remember what the call was there's a domestic or something like that. So I go to one side of the house. My FTO goes to the back of the house. He sees the dude jump a fence. He chases after the dude. I run back around the house, go to the fence, jump on the fence, and then I could hear them way off in the background. It was like two, three in the morning, way off in the back, like just way off a couple blocks down, and they're yelling at each other and he's chasing them. And I got stuck on the fence.

Speaker 1:

It's called the oodle-loop. It's a point where your brain just doesn't know what to do. I'm sitting on this fence. I'm like, well, do I keep running behind them or do I go ahead and go get the vehicle? And I got stuck on this fence. I'm like, do I go to the left after them or do I go back to the right and go back and get my truck? And I couldn't. I got stuck in this loop. I got stuck Just sat there, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, and I couldn't figure out what to do. Well, then, all of a sudden I hear dang flashlight and he looks behind. I'm not behind him. He wasn't too happy Either way at that point knocked me out of my little oodle-loop.

Speaker 1:

I went, grabbed the truck, drive after him and kind of pick him up blocks away. Um, needless to say, we didn't catch a dude. We caught somebody else that we thought was him and it's one of our local drunks. He's sitting there and we're chasing after other people and we thought we got him. And then this dude pops out and he's like oh, and we're like, dude, there's cops around, go. He's like oh, shit, cops, even though he's talking to the cops, and he like disappears under the trees to the right. It's a wild thing. He's like oh, cops, not realizing he's talking to cops. So oh, okay, and goes in the woods. We're like you dumbass, and it was just.

Speaker 1:

Then. It was great because the guy yelling at us started yelling at the drunk and the drunk started yelling as well. So we didn't know where. Then we were, like whatever, the dude got away. No one was hurt. It was kind of just a dumb call anyway. But when he took off, we're like huh, we'll go party too. This is a domestic when you see what happens. I can't remember exactly the story, but it was just funny. No one was hurt.

Speaker 1:

We didn't just give up on nothing. There was really no reason, um, but yeah, my buddy brings it up all the time. He's like man. Every time you got stuck on a fence, it wouldn't go over the fence, like first of all. I think it's stuck on the fence. My brain got stuck on what to do. I was on the fence, ready to go over the fence. I just didn't know should I go this way or that way? But he makes fun of me all the time getting stuck on the fence. But then later he'll be like well, I'm actually kind of glad you went and got the truck, because I don't want to run all the way back. I was like, yeah, see, don't be judging me, judgey Jan Over here saying, oh, we can't do this.

Speaker 1:

Man, we've talked about a lot of just random stuff on this one and I've enjoyed it. Um, you know, I said I'm hearing a lot of people are enjoying some of the funny stories of my family. Man, my family's a hoot. So if there's anything you want to know, ask. If there's things you want to be honest about you, just ask. I'll be honest. I'll tell you the craziness of my family. My family's awesome.

Speaker 1:

Um, my dad got moved out of ICU. He's now moved into a normal room. I'm excited about that, means that he's moving in the right direction. But we'll just pray and keep holding, hoping that he gets better. That's the only thing we can do at this point. Um, if you can. We had some storms roll through, we had some tornado warnings roll through. If you can take time, pray for those families that are affected. Um, I'm going to probably go out and help here in a minute with everybody. I can't lift anything because, again, I've had surgery on my mouth which sucks, but I'm going to go see if I can't help them out a little bit.

Speaker 1:

Um, much loved all you guys. I can't do this at all y'all, and I appreciate everybody so much, everybody on the Patreon. I appreciate you guys so much. It's, you know, connor Pebbles, mommy, lady, buckeye, kylie. I appreciate you guys so much. You helped me so much and I can't thank you guys enough. Um, all the, all the gifters and the lives and stuff, that stuff it all goes dust. Um buy things for people or we do fundraisers, we do all sorts of stuff with it. I donated some of the money to shop with the cop to help these kids. Um, we've got a haunted house coming up. I'm pretty excited about that. That's to raise money for shop with the cop.

Speaker 1:

Guys, I appreciate you guys so much and I could never thank you guys enough. I know it sounds rehearsed and I say it all the time, but, guys, thank you so much. Thank you for taking the time to listen and support us. Um, support me really. I don't know why I'd say us, but it, it. You guys really are like family. Um, never did I think I. I get to where I am now and I've looked into it. I'm not going to lie I, I've looked into a lot of my followers, but then I have my genuine followers like you guys that stay and you enjoy listening, you enjoy supporting Um and I love seeing each other support each other.

Speaker 1:

I love in my lives when I see one talk to somebody else and this person talked to that person. We're just creating a group of good people, of awesome people that continue to bring other people up. Yeah, sometimes we like to mess with the trolls and it gets us banana on no ticket talking because they can't handle people and talk shit. But can handle shit, talk back to them. But it is what it is, I guess. Much love everybody. Thank you so much for the continued support. My family and I appreciate you so much. I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Let's make it a good week. Make other, make someone smile this week. You know what I mean. Don't make it weird. Don't be like hey, baby, I like the way you're looking at dry ass. Don't do that. I mean I might make a smile, but let's not go to some random co-worker and get yourself in trouble for harassment. But yeah, keep spreading the positivity, guys. Much love Everyone, stay safe and have a great week.
