Navigating Polarized Politics: Friendship Strains, Economic Pressures, and Embracing Positivity

Dane Episode 35

Send us a text

Feeling like political affiliations are tearing friendships apart? You're not alone. Join me as I navigate the controversial yet riveting landscape of today's politics, reflecting on Trump's surprising victory and his commitment to law enforcement. I share personal stories of friendships tested by opposing views and an enlightening chat with a gay friend that shifted my perspective on LGBTQ+ issues. Despite the political turbulence, my focus remains on the pressing economic challenges we all face, like the relentless rise in the cost of living, while advocating for mutual respect and open-minded leadership.

On a personal note, I'm excited to return to the mic and social media after grappling with some challenging mental hurdles. My journey back involves creating a supportive and troll-free space on Patreon and exploring ways to grow together with fresh content. Grateful for your continued support, I'm eager to foster an environment rooted in kindness and understanding. Let's embrace these turbulent times with positivity and look forward to exciting new developments on the horizon.

Warning, warning, warning. This content may be sensitive to some. If you feel the need to leave, it is completely understandable. Content may contain examples of death, suicide, sexual content and other shit. We don't know what we're going to get into. This is not to offend anyone or upset anyone on purpose. This isn't your typical Deputy Dane, so listen at your own risk. Sit back and enjoy.

Speaker 2:

Good morning everybody. Welcome to the Deputy Dane Morning Show. I appreciate all y'all for being here. We got some stuff to get into. I really don't know what we're going to get into, but we'll get into something.

Speaker 1:

Sit back. Oh yep, there's the sirens. I think we're all going to be detained. Sit back and enjoy the show.

Speaker 2:

Good morning everybody. It's been quite some time, I know Kind of taking a break from it. Let's see when was the last episode? Let's pull this up real quick. Last episode, august 20th. Holy hell, that was episode 34. So we are on episode 35. Crazy times, crazy things happening.

Speaker 2:

Trump has won again. I'm pumped about that. I know I don't talk about it on TikTok, because no matter what, someone is going to be upset on TikTok, well, he won. I'm pumped about it. He's pro-law enforcement. I think it's pretty obvious that that's who I would vote for, but either way, the amount of hate that goes back and forth is mind-blowing. I have friends on Facebook talking about delete me if you voted for them and you don't support black women's rights and you don't like gays and stuff if you vote for him.

Speaker 2:

I had a friend of mine that I used to work with, a good guy. We're close gay man, no worries, I have no problem with that. He actually kind of put my perspective on gay men in a different light, if that makes sense. I was ignorant when I was young, when I first started working with him, and he sat me down one day and he said well, dane, what makes you think that you are so attractive to gay men and that really hit me. I was like, oh shit, he's right. What makes me think that I'm so attractive to gay men? I'm more attractive than anybody else, I guess. Well, hell, put me in my place, got me thinking, so he put on there. If you have a friend that's gay and you voted for Trump, you know a gay guy. Which that one kind of stung.

Speaker 2:

There's so many people ready to just unfriend people just because who you voted for. If you got a shot, who didn't get a shot, whatever it is, it's mind-blowing the amount of hate. I don't think of myself as a racist person. I don't think of myself as a homophobe. I don't think of myself as a racist person. I don't think of myself as a homophobe. I don't think of myself as any of that. I just think that I used to be able to afford things and now I can't afford things. So let's try something different If it would have gone the other way. I do not see myself telling people unfriend me if you voted for the woke, wokeness or something like that. It is mind-blowing. There's so many friends unfriending each other just because of who they voted for.

Speaker 2:

It's crazy, crazy, fucking time we're living in. Why not? Let's just give it a shot, see if we can go back to being able to afford to live. My wife and I are making more money than we've ever made. Well, not really. We used to make a lot more back in the day when we worked off tips. My wife and I are making really good money compared to since we've gotten these professions, and we go paycheck to paycheck. How is that? If they're talking about the economy, so good. Why am I going from paycheck to paycheck? And I haven't really changed anything in my means? I don't know. It's crazy. So how about we give it a shot and see if maybe this fixes some issues? If it doesn't, well fuck. We're in the same place we're now.

Speaker 2:

I would tell you, a lot more countries respect Trump than what they did with Biden. How are you going to respect a man that can't even walk up a set of stairs? So crazy, crazy times we're in. Um. Either way, if you voted for Kamala, kamala, what? However you pronounce her name? Um, that's on you.

Speaker 2:

I don't. I mean, I don't have any hatred towards you. You have a right to vote. Who you want to vote for. I don't understand. Now, if you don't vote for what I vote for. You're a racist or you don't like homos and all this other stuff. And I know I said homos in a way just because it was meant to be that way. I just don't see it. I just don't get it. It's a crazy, crazy time we're in. We are never I mean I wouldn't say we're never so close to civil war, but I mean I've been saying it for a little while now because we've had a civil war. But it's just mind blowing how much hatred towards each other is there.

Speaker 2:

Instead of let's say, hey, he won, let's see if he can't make this country better. If she would have won, I would have said the same thing hey, I didn't vote for her. Maybe she can do right. I don't know. These last four years they have sucked, and then they always blame it on the president before the president. You never know. So, no matter what, let's just give it a shot, See if we can afford to live and go from there, because right now it sucks. Donkey dick, you know, back when trump was in, what would gas get down to when trump was in office? Uh, there's a lot of things that trump wants to do that people don't realize, like tariffs on other countries and making it to where we actually make money off these countries, instead of us keep giving countries a crazy, a fucking amount of money. Trump.

Speaker 1:

I need one that's like assistance.

Speaker 2:

Trump says gas should be $1.87 a gallon. Yes, please. I mean, it's just the simple things. It's crazy. I just don't get it. But we'll see. We'll see what happens.

Speaker 2:

I know I have been taking a break from doing old podcasts and taking a break from doing TikTok. You know the woke shut me down on TikTok, got my account taken away, so it's kind of put me in a mental hiatus where I've kind of taken a break. I plan on changing that, really getting going again. I just wanted to touch base with everybody, let everybody know, hey, I'm getting back. Just give me a chance and let's make it happen. Let's do this. We're going to have a lot of fun.

Speaker 2:

I plan on bringing people on. I'm trying to get my studio done. I'm going to try to work on that today. Today, november 10th 2024. I'm going to work on some stuff, get this stuff going. This was just a touch base. Say, hey, let's all be fucking friends. It's a crazy time we're living in. Why all the hatred? Little things have changed with me. Got my mom here. She's doing well, getting settled in I'm. I got promoted again. Now I'm the undershare for our agency. There's just a lot, a lot going on. So, with all that being said, I plan on getting back on podcast. I plan on getting back on social media. I really got a plan on getting it back, getting out of my own headspace where I've been for a little bit it hadn't been good for me.

Speaker 2:

So it's time to work on me and then hopefully that benefits everybody else, cause then they get more of me, which I don't know why you, anybody, anybody would. I don't even want more of me, so I don't know. Um, if you could do me a favor, I'm going to put in the description a link to a video, a game, on your phone. If you download it, keep leveling up on it. It gives me benefits. I'm not gonna lie. It gives me benefits. I'm not going to lie. It gives me kickbacks. Anything helps me. Trying to get a go on Patreon. I'm trying to get Patreon where we can go live on Patreon, so that way we don't have to worry about all the trolls coming in and getting us taken down.

Speaker 2:

So big things in the works. Bear with me, I'm getting out of my mental headspace and we're going to be doing big things. I love every single one of y'all. I couldn't do this without y'all, so please continue to love one another. Be kind to one another. This is a crazy, crazy time we're living in and people want to hate for no reason or because they don't agree with their idealization Hell, I don't know Ideals. There we go Again, hang tight, we got things coming. Well, again, hang tight, we got things coming. I keep saying we, I've got things coming. I say we a lot. It's just weird, I guess, hell, I don't know. Much love to everybody. Stay kind, let's make this a good week. I appreciate you guys, so so much.
