"The First Push" Beau Lambert
Beau Lambert is a born-and-raised Maine kid whose love of bikes and skateboards, plus a desire to be a teacher, landed him in the non-profit world. He started Team Grimace right out of college as a way to provide opportunities for local kids who wanted to ride and race mountain bikes. His crew grew into teachers, fishermen, farmers, and rad dads, plus there's an Olympian in the mix. In the early 2000s, the family behind what eventually became Rye Airfield found him, and that turned into a two-decade journey. Life now is focused on First Push Syndicate and trying to grow their school-based PE program, the Get On Board program, nationally. He lives in North Berwick with his wife and three kids while still tempting fate on local trails around Mt. A or bombing local hills on a skateboard with his boys.
