Troy Hathaway "Teaching the Trades, Shaping Lives"
Married for 25 years, Troy is a proud father of a 22-year-old son and a 20-year-old daughter. He has dedicated the past 26 years to shaping future tradesmen and women as a Building Trades instructor at the Sanford Regional Technical Center, bringing with him 36 years of experience in the construction industry.
Troy’s passion for education and his commitment to his students have earned him two nominations for the Sanford School Department’s Teacher of the Year and the honor of being named SRTC’s Teacher of the Year.
Outside the classroom, Troy is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and any activity that keeps him connected to nature. Over the past 10 years, he has also developed a love for cycling, completing the Trek Across Maine four times.
