Jason Rice "Dirigo Divorce Family Law"
Jason Rice. is an experienced family law attorney with more than 15 years of legal practice across Florida, Maine, and New Hampshire. A native of Florida, Jason earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of South Florida in Tampa before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida.
Jason began his legal career as a Staff Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Tampa, where he worked closely with judges on a wide range of matters, including family law. During this time, he contributed to numerous high-profile cases that drew national attention and co-authored “Relocations: A Judge’s Perspective” with the Honorable Judge Daniel Sleet.
He went on to serve as a Career Staff Attorney at Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal—then the busiest appellate court in the state—before transitioning into private practice with one of the nation’s largest insurance companies. In that role, Jason litigated hundreds of cases throughout Florida, handling both settlements and trials.
In 2019, Jason and his wife, Jessica, relocated their family to Maine. He initially practiced at a boutique law firm in Portland before being recruited in 2020 to a national family law firm, one of the largest in the United States.
Although Jason has practiced in multiple areas of law, his true passion lies in family law. That passion also led him to teach family law courses for over ten years at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, where he helped educate and mentor future legal professionals.
Outside of the courtroom, Jason enjoys running, hiking, skiing, and embracing all things New England with his wife and their three children.
