Supreme Lord Sufficiant Savior - A Study of Colossians Week 12: Colossians 2:20-23

As we have studied through chapter two of Colossians, Paul has focused mainly on helping us identify those around us who could hinder us from living out our Christian life to the fullest. But the Christian life is not about NOT being something but being found in Christ. In this sermon, we will look at how Paul closes out this section of warnings by helping us to focus on what the Christian life is about in contrast to what it is NOT about.

The church at Colossae might have existed thousands of years ago and thousands of miles away from us, but the letter Paul wrote to them is just as meaningful and relevant today as if it were written yesterday. The book of Colossians offers a wonderful mix of theological truth and practical life application. The beginning of the book presents one of the most profound teachings about Christ anywhere in scripture. The second half explains how that truth is expressed in every aspect of our lives, from our individual lives to our homes, families, and work. No matter where you are, there is something in this study for you.
