Flypaper Brain
My mom likes to say that my brain is made of flypaper because of the way it captures disparate bits of knowledge. Perfect for your Oahu commute, this weekly podcast combines Hawaiian stories of place with science, language, and Catholicism.

Episode 2: Kālia
The SECOND episode! Karen accompanies you on a walk around Kālia, from Ala Moana Center to the Hilton Hawaiian Village, with an optional add-on to go "around the block" via Kalākaua Avenue and the Ala Wai Promenade, sharing bits and bobs from Hawaiian history in the hope of enhancing your exercise. This podcast is the unofficial companion to the Joint Northwest Southwest Regional Conference of Alpha Delta Kappa, an international honorary association for women educators.
Here is the link to the song, "Kaʻaahi Kahului," by Palani Vaughn. I hope that you enjoy all of the onomatopoeia!
You can also check out a map of today's route, Kālia, here. Just click the different layers to toggle the route and the pins on or off. The link is actually http://bit.ly/WaikikiWalks; apologies for the confusion! You can also find the map via tinyurl.com/WaikikiWalks.
