Ivan is a partner in Ryan Pineda’s Airbnb coaching, a husband, a father, and a follower. Chris and Ivan dive deep into Ivan's life before he was saved as a young man. Ivan used to party a lot and sneak out of his parents' house before his last hurrah. However, Ivan's last hurrah didn't go as planned—everything that could go wrong did! Right after that, Ivan attended a Christian retreat through his church and has been involved with the church ever since. His way of thinking and actions changed so much that his brother asked him, “Who even are you?”
While Ivan acknowledges that he isn’t perfect, he has never strayed from the path, and God has kept him in line. Chris and Ivan discuss the importance of prayer in Ivan’s journey. Prayer has guided Ivan through business and even led him to his wife. Involving God in your life every day through prayer helps practice gratitude, even in challenging times. Chris and Ivan discuss relationship roles and dynamics, highlighting that a man needs to have a mission for his wife to support, debunking negative connotations associated with submissive wives. The couple turns to the Bible for advice and guidance in making the right choices, viewing marriages as partnerships. Chris shares how his wife holds him accountable and prevents him from making poor choices in his life.
Discussing the failure of relationships, Chris and Ivan emphasize the importance of working together rather than pursuing individual interests. Chris shares his mindset, where if his wife’s business takes off, he will swallow his pride and support her business. Ivan's advice to men is to be the best version of themselves for their partners.
