When you franchise tag somebody on the offensive line, they group together. And what has happened is left tackles are primarily always your highest paid. So that raises that franchise money, the average salary because of your left tackles. So you're going to end up overpaying for a center if you franchise a center. Cause centers don't make a shit ton of money. Left tackles are always your highest paid. So if your highest tackle is getting X amount of dollars, that skews that number.

in the franchise tagging. So you end up overpaying for a center if you franchise tag them. So that's why you don't see centers get franchise tagged. If you do, it's very, very rare because the center, the guards and the tackles all fall into one envelope in its offensive line. All right. So that's pretty much why you would not see them franchise tagging. So they did it the way they actually did it the right way. If you look at it, you know, they did pick up his 50 year option.

They wanted to make sure that he was going to get paid right. But now they're going to be in a bidding war with other teams. Hopefully, primarily us.
