What is Eternal Life
Romans 6:23—"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God Is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” Many people have different ideas about life after death: heaven, hell, purgatory, reincarnation or some believe nothing at all. Many people also believe that Eternal life is living forever, that is true. But there is more to just living forever. The moment you receive Salvation you begin to live an eternal life. Eternal life cannot be associated with “time” or “years” because God is not a God of “time.” Eternal life begins the moment a person exercises faith in Christ. It is our current possession. As believers we are growing in progression growing from glory to glory, then at eternity we will reach the final stage of glorification. In the Garden of Eden, man rebelled against God and was banished from the Garden and were not allowed to eat from the “tree of Life” in Genesis 3, However in the end, God graciously restores our access to the tree of life and it is Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29)----
