We grew up in the UK from 1970 to 1990. This show is all about the two of us looking back and putting bits of our shared past under the microscope, from the early ‘80s ‘Protect and Survive’ /Mutually Assured Destruction nuclear panic, to the theme music from The Incredible Hulk; from Wimpy Burgers to wimpy Orac from Blake’s 7; from the Falklands War to Falco’s Rock Me Amadeus. We look back with fondness and bafflement and sometimes with abject disbelief at what life was like when we were growing up.

Summer's here, and so are we! This episode sees us roll back the clock to 1977, the year Elvis ate his last hamburger.
Jeremy adorns Union Jack shorts and waves a patriotic flag as he remembers the street parties and other celebrations for Her Maj the Queen's Silver Jubilee, and muses on the transition from anarchic punk to flamboyant disco.
Our UK number 1 is 'Seven Tears' by The Goombay Dance Band, which rather bafflingly topped the hit parade for three weeks in the spring of 1982.
Vince munches on eye-watering overpriced popcorn and sings tunelessly along to the ba ba ba ba ba ba ba paba ba Pearl and Dean advert as he reminisces about going to the cinema as a boy, enjoying Roger Moore vs Jaws, Godzilla vs Giant Flying Monsters, and Captain Kirk vs A Whole Lot of Nothing Much Happening Very Slowly.
