Seasoned Mamas: God's Grace For Every Season of Motherhood
Mama, Remember Who You Are
Do you ever feel regret about your past? Shame? Condemnation?
Sometimes the most powerful words we can hear are:
YOU ARE A GOOD MOM.
You are a good wife, daughter, sister, and child of God.
“You are holy, you are righteous, you are one of the redeemed…."
This is the first episode of our Song Series, where each seasoned mama picks a favorite song and shares how it speaks to her season of life, her faith, and what God is currently teaching her.
Lindsay’s selection is “Dear Younger Me” by Mercy Me, where she shares that Jesus is her redeemer, and how she is learning to fix her eyes on Him instead of the doubt, fear, regret, and other things that would distract her from showing up, being present, and being her best for her family, friends, and each new challenge ahead.
When she asked the other mamas what they would tell their younger selves, the conversation grew so deep and wide
Faith shares about how important it is to know that we are made uniquely in Christ and that we don’t have to compare who we are to the measuring stick of others.
Deb talks about the power of Christ’s forgiveness to break the chains of condemnation, guilt, and shame.
Michelle shares the thread of hope that ties us to our Savior. As we place our hope, our hearts, and our lives in Him, we can trust in His unfailing love for us in the everyday struggles and uncertainties of life in a fallen world.
This isn’t a light conversation, but a real and honest look at how we can walk in freedom from our past, but also gratitude for all the ways God has used it to shape us into the imperfect, redeemed, messy, beautiful, and broken pots that shine His unfailing light and glory.
