Benny Boom (With Director X): On Coming Up In The Golden Era of Music Videos

This week, Taj and Director X welcome esteemed director and long time friend Benny Boom. Benny has had a storied career, making music videos for the likes of Nicki Minaj, Nas, Lil Wayne, Keyshia Cole, 50 Cent and Meek Mill, and notably directing the Tupac Shakur biopic, All Eyez On Me.  Benny digs into his early years growing up in violent West Philidelphia while trying to stay out of trouble. The group reminisces about their early years working together in the heyday of music videos, where Benny was Director X's assistant director and close collaborator. Benny talks about stepping away from assistant directing and finding his voice as a director, and shares stories about working with Nicki Minaj and Keyshia Cole.
