GertRUDE Baniszewski - and the terrible fate of Sylvia Likens
Join us today to learn the shocking details of the murder of Sylvia Likens. Sylvia’s parents unwittingly put her and her sister, Jenny, right into the hands of the devil herself. Gertrude Baniszewski promised the girls' parents that she would treat them like her own while they were away for work. Behind closed doors, Gertrude would end up torturing Sylvia in the most inhumane ways possible. Gertrude would also let her own kids and the neighborhood teens partake in the horrid treatment and torture of Sylvia. Once again, the system failed this child. Not only did it fail Sylvia when she was alive but it failed her again after her death.
