Let’s be honest—death is one of the things we don’t like to talk about. Most of us would rather change the subject. But death is a certainty. It’s not if, but when. We all know it’s coming, yet we rarely bring it up in conversation. But here’s something interesting: while we may not talk about it, we do think about it—a lot more than we might admit. But why does it matter? Because the Bible doesn’t shy away from the topic of death—and neither should we. Instead of avoiding it, Scripture tells us to live in spite of it. Hebrews 9:27 says: “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment…”. We have an appointment with death. But here’s the good news: death isn’t the end. For those who trust in Jesus Christ, death is the doorway to eternal life.
