Entrepreneurs carry a lot on their shoulders. Building a business, solving problems, making decisions, and pushing forward even when things are uncertain. But there is one habit that quietly drains the energy of many entrepreneurs before their day even begins.

Some entrepreneurs wake up already thinking about failures, mistakes, problems, or what is not working in their business. Those thoughts immediately create frustration, stress, and stagnation. You see, so many entrepreneurs, they (0:44) wake up in the morning, they start their day thinking and feeling negatively about their (0:51) entrepreneurial life, because when you meet a failure, when you make a mistake, when something (0:58) goes wrong, when you are not making progress, when things are not working, so what ends (1:06) up happening is that so many entrepreneurs, they start their day feeling stuck, feeling (1:12) stagnation, feeling like nothing is working in their entrepreneurial life, feeling like (1:18) they are failing, they are not succeeding, they are not making that progress that they (1:24) wish to, and they think about all the worriness, all the negative things that can happen in (1:33) their future.So, when you start your day with this kind of thinking and feeling, imagine (1:41) how your day will be, imagine the progress that you are going to lose, imagine how much (1:50) energy you are consuming, you are depleting, you are draining by those negative thoughts, (1:57) feelings that are draining so much of your energy, that are wasting so much of your time. (2:05) So, I used to do this, I had this pattern, I had this bad habit in my own entrepreneurial (2:13) life, so years ago, I used to start my day just constantly feeling and thinking negatively, (2:23) and this was leading me to feel stuck and stagnation in my life, and I was living a (2:31) depressed and miserable entrepreneurial life. But then, after making this mistake (2:37) so many times, I learned to unstuck myself, I learned to break this stagnation, I learned (2:45) to break this pattern, this bad habit that was draining all my energy, that was taking (2:52) all my time, that was preventing me from making progress, from improving my life, from getting (2:59) better, because if you don't break this habit, it will continue in your daily entrepreneurial (3:06) life, and this habit will constantly keep you stuck every year, where you are constantly (3:13) consuming and draining so much of your energy, where you could use this energy for your goals, (3:19) for your dreams, and it's wasting so much of your time, where you could use that time (3:24) to build and grow your business, so that's why it's so important that we break this (3:31) cycle, that we break this pattern, that we break this bad habit that is draining our (3:38) entrepreneurial energy.So stay tuned with me in this episode, so I can talk about this (3:44) topic and share with you some tips that helped me a lot getting unstuck and avoiding stagnation. (3:56) I'm going to share with you some practices that you can adopt in your daily entrepreneurial (4:01) life that will help you break this cycle, break this bad habit, break this pattern that (4:09) is keeping you stuck and feeling stagnation in your entrepreneurial life. So, you know, (4:17) entrepreneurship is not so easy, it is a hard journey, and you will meet up with so many (4:23) obstacles, so many issues, so many challenges, so many problems, and mostly because some (4:30) of us, we still have old habits that are running in our daily entrepreneurial life, old patterns, (4:37) old thinking, old thoughts, old feelings, emotions that are still running in our body, (4:45) in our daily entrepreneurial life.And these thoughts, these emotions, these feelings, (4:54) these bad habits, they are consuming so much of our energy, they are depleting us, they (5:01) are leaving us feeling depleted, drained, tired, exhausted, frustrated, negative, that (5:10) are keeping us stuck in our daily entrepreneurial life. These old habits, they were keeping (5:18) you stuck before and they will try to keep you stuck and prevent you from building that (5:24) dream life, from making progress, from improving, from getting better. So it's so important (5:29) that we become aware of our habits, of our thoughts, how we are thinking in our daily (5:36) entrepreneurial life.How do we feel? Why do we feel like that? Why do we think like (5:43) that? Why do we get those thoughts? Why do we run the same pattern every day, every week, (5:49) every month? Seems like it's the same pattern from last year, from before last year. So (5:55) why? This is mostly because of our habits. Those habits that we have built before, they (6:04) are still running in our daily entrepreneurial life.But when we are not working on breaking (6:10) them, when we are not paying attention to what is working, what is not working, when (6:16) we are not breaking those habits, setting boundaries, limits to those habits, they will (6:24) keep showing up. They will keep running in our daily entrepreneurial life, even in the (6:32) future. So I used to wake up in the morning and the first thing I would do is just think (6:39) negatively and feel negatively about my life, about my entrepreneurial journey, about what (6:44) is not working, about the failures, about the mistakes, about the bad habits, about (6:51) the problems, about the challenges, about the issues.This is how I used to start my (6:56) day. So I was bombarded or occupied or controlled by those negative thoughts, feelings, and (7:04) emotions. And I didn't like to start my day.I didn't like to show up to my work. I didn't (7:12) like going to the gym and do my workout. I didn't like my environment.I didn't like (7:20) anything in my life. And I was complaining and feeling negative, frustrated constantly (7:27) and bringing all my past, all my past thoughts, my past problems, my past emotions, all the (7:36) people that I met in my life. So this is how I used to start my day.But then, after a while, (7:44) I started to adopt a new practice. I told myself, why can't I just start a new life, (7:53) a new page in my life? Why can't I just break my old self and start building a new (7:59) self, a new version of myself? I started to think that, okay, I'm running the same (8:06) pattern. I'm doing the same bad habits, old habits.I'm stuck in my routines, in my habits. (8:16) I said, okay, if I'm doing that, why can't I just improve? Why can't I get better? Why (8:22) can't I break those habits? Why can't I break and remove those negative thoughts, those (8:28) old thoughts, feelings, emotions from my life? Why can't I start my day with enthusiasm, (8:35) with excitement, with happiness, with a healthy life? So why? So I said, there must be a solution (8:45) for this. There must be a way that I could figure out that I could break that cycle or (8:51) break that loop because this loop, this cycle is draining my energy, is leading me to feel (8:58) more unstuck, to feel more stagnation, to feel more unhealthy, to feel more unhappy, (9:06) to feel more unsuccessful.So I looked at my life and I know that I'm just getting worse (9:16) and worse and worse. So I said, I better figure out a solution for this cycle. I need to break (9:23) this cycle.I need to break this stagnation, this feeling stuck in my entrepreneurial journey. (9:30) I need to work on removing those negative thoughts, feelings, emotions, because I can't (9:38) have them in my life anymore. I am sick and tired of those thoughts, of those negative (9:45) things in my life.And I feel like I'm not moving forward. It doesn't matter how much (9:51) I work. It doesn't matter what time I wake up.It doesn't matter what I do. I feel like (9:57) I'm the same. Nothing is changing in my life.So I started to notice that if I could break (10:03) this habit, if I could start my day with enthusiasm, with thinking and feeling my vision, my dreams (10:14) in my body, I could break that cycle. I could remove that bad habit. I could continue making (10:23) progress.I could show up to my business. I could work. It doesn't matter whether I'm (10:28) seeing results or not.So the first thing I started to wake up in the morning is before (10:39) those negative thoughts, feelings, emotions, they start to show up in my day. Before I (10:47) get controlled by that pattern, by that same pattern that I used to run years ago, I started (10:56) to think and feel my dreams, my vision of my future, the people that I love. I started (11:07) to feel them.I started to practice. I started to train. So just like going to the gym and (11:14) training and doing your workout, I started a new training, a new practice in my home, (11:21) in my daily entrepreneurial life.So first I started to become aware of those negative (11:29) thoughts, feelings, emotions, and I asked myself, why are these thoughts, feelings, (11:35) emotions are running in my daily life? Why do I wake up? And first thing I do is think (11:44) and feel negatively. I noticed that it was a bad habit and I need to become aware of (11:50) this bad habit because without awareness, this habit is running in my daily life for (11:57) months, for years without breaking that habit. So the first thing I started is just to become (12:07) aware.Whenever I'm working, whenever I start my day, before those thoughts, before those (12:13) negative feelings, emotions, they start to show up, I just become aware of them. I know (12:19) them. I know those thoughts, those feelings, those emotions.They are the enemy of my progress. (12:24) They are the enemy of my goals. They are the enemy for my happy and healthy and successful (12:34) entrepreneurial life.So I view them as enemy and I don't want to have any enemy in my life. (12:43) So the next thing I did is I started to ask questions. Okay, the thoughts that I'm thinking, (12:51) the feelings, the emotions that I'm feeling in my body, are they belong to my past or (12:57) are they belong to my future? Okay, so once I became aware that those negative thoughts, (13:05) feelings, emotions, they belong to my past.Okay, I asked myself, but why do I have things (13:10) from the past? Why am I thinking about old activities, old events, old incidents, old (13:20) problems, old challenges, old things that happened in the past? Why? I need to be present. (13:29) I need to focus. I need to be laser focused on my goals, on my dreams, on my vision in (13:35) my future.Why do I think about my past? So the next thing I asked myself, how can I (13:44) break my past? How can I break those thoughts, those feelings? How can I remove them? Because (13:50) I don't need to have them and I can't change anything from the past. The past has gone. (13:58) There's nothing to change and I can't control that.So I need to focus on what I can control (14:05) but not on what I can't control. I can't change my past. I can't control my past.I can't (14:15) fix problems from my past. I can't live my life feeling regretful, feeling frustrated, (14:25) negative about my past. Because our past is not our present.It is not our future. And (14:35) our past is gone. It happened before and it became history.It became old. So I noticed (14:46) that I can't move forward unless I focus and look in front of me. If I keep looking (14:55) back, I can't move forward.Just like driving a car. You can't expect to drive a car while (15:13) looking at the mirror, at the back mirror. So you need to look in front of you to be (15:22) able to drive your car.You need to look forward. So this is how I look at my entrepreneurial (15:28) life as well. What happened in the past, what I did in the past, I can't do anything about (15:37) that.But what I could do is I could change my future. I could change myself. I could (15:43) improve myself.I could get better. I could start a new journey, a new page in my life. (15:50) I could build my new version.I could still start building good habits, plan new routines, (15:58) new rituals. This is what I could. This is what I can.This is what I can control. This (16:06) is what I'm capable of doing. So I gave up my past.I divorced my past. I don't want (16:13) to go back to my past. So the next thing I did is just think and feel positive thoughts (16:22) or thoughts, feelings, emotions that belong to my future, to my goals, to my dreams.I (16:31) started to think them. I started to feel them. I started to practice them daily.Every time (16:36) I eat, I'm thinking and feeling my future. Every time I'm working, I'm thinking and feeling (16:42) my future. Every time I go out, meet up with people or attend any activity, any event, (16:48) I'm thinking and feeling my future.Every time before going to bed, I think and feel (16:56) my future. When I wake up, I think and feel my future. I'm all about my future.I'm so (17:02) hungry about my future. I'm so aligned. I'm so connected.I'm so drawn to my future. (17:11) I'm so attached to my future. I separated myself from my past by just focusing on my (17:21) future.I want to bring new thoughts. I want to create, generate new feelings, new emotions (17:28) that belong to my future. How I'm celebrating, how I'm growing my business, how I'm succeeding, (17:34) how I'm making a difference in other people's lives, how I'm improving other people's lives, (17:41) how I'm serving my community, my clients, the people that I love, that I care about, (17:48) how I'm doing something great for my life, for my family, how I'm building that dream (17:53) life for my family.This is what I started to do. I made it a practice, just like practicing (18:01) writing a book or practicing writing an article or a blog or practicing at the gym, doing (18:07) training or workout. I started to adopt a new training, practicing new thoughts, practicing (18:13) new feelings, new emotions, so I can remove those old negative thoughts, feelings, emotions (18:20) that belong to my past and think about thoughts, feelings, emotions that belong to my future. (18:26) This is how I started to do. I asked myself then, what habits do I need to start to build? (18:34) What routines, what rituals do I need to start adopting in my daily entrepreneurial life (18:40) so I can separate myself from my past, so I can build, create, invent, produce, deliver, (18:50) make progress? How can I do this? So, so many of us, unfortunately, we are stuck with our (19:00) thoughts, feelings, emotions because when something goes wrong, when things are not (19:05) working, when you fail, when you lose that client, so you get controlled by so many negative (19:11) thoughts, feelings, emotions and they start the first thing, the first minute that you (19:16) wake up and you start your day. You are just browsing and you are just going through all (19:25) the negativity, all the things that happened, but when you become aware of your thoughts, (19:34) feelings, emotions and then you take a rest, you relax your body, you do some kind of meditation, (19:42) affirmation and bring thoughts, feelings, emotions into your body that are attached, (19:50) that are connected, that belong to your future.So, resting, relaxing and generating new (19:58) thoughts, new feelings, new emotions and then separate yourself as much as possible (20:06) from your past and don't focus on what is not working, focus on what you control, (20:11) focus on how you can adjust, how you can improve, how you can create, how you can fix that issue, (20:17) that problem. Ask for help. So, this is how you are going to break that bad habit, (20:26) that bad pattern, that unhealthy pattern that is running in your entrepreneurial life. (20:32) When you wake up every day, you are repeating the same pattern, you are repeating the same (20:37) cycle and you get high stress and then feel frustrated, negative and focusing on what (20:45) is not working or what you are failing with in your entrepreneurial life instead of focusing (20:52) on making progress, focusing on your future, on your goals, on your dreams, on the vision (20:58) of your future. So, when you adapt this practice daily for a while, it can take sometimes (21:07) one month, two months, three months, you start to notice that you wake up in the morning (21:13) feeling inspired, feeling enthusiasm, feeling the vitality in your life, feeling happy, (21:22) feeling progressed, feeling like you are ready to show up to your business, to your growth, (21:29) to your goals, to your dreams. So, you are not focusing on one problem but you are focusing (21:37) on many projects, you are not focusing on one failure or one mistake you made, you are (21:44) focusing on your growth, you are focusing on developing new skills, you are focusing (21:49) on those healthy positive habits that you have built or that you are working on building. (21:57) So, what ends up happening is that after a while you feel like you have improved your (22:05) daily entrepreneurial life, you feel like you are getting better, you are getting closer, (22:11) you are getting results, you are making progress, you are feeling better, you are walking better, (22:17) you are moving better, you are protecting your energy, your time, you feel like you (22:24) are walking faster, you are working faster, you are improving your performance, your productivity, (22:30) you feel like you are getting better every day in your entrepreneurial life once you (22:39) break your old self, once you break that bad habit, that bad negative pattern, once you (22:46) remove all negativity from your entrepreneurial life, then you have so much space for positivity (22:53) in your entrepreneurial life. You feel like you are progressing, you are getting better, (22:58) you are celebrating, you are winning, you are enjoying, you are feeling excited, you (23:03) are going to bed feeling joyful, feeling happy about your day, about the progress that you (23:09) made, about the work that you completed. So, negative thoughts, feelings, emotions, they (23:14) are energy and they are consuming so much of your energy from your body.So, remove those (23:24) negative thoughts, feelings, emotions, break that habit, break that pattern, so you can (23:30) save so much of your energy, so much of your time, so you can invest them on your future, (23:36) on your goals, on your dreams, and give up, divorce your past, do not go back to your (23:42) past, do not think about your past. So, you will improve, you will get better, you will (23:51) feel much better about your entrepreneurial life once you adopt this practice.
