Hi, welcome back to the Venus Star Cycle podcast. I offer guidance on how you can work co creatively with the planetary energies and discover more of who you truly are. My name is Michelle, I'm an evolutionary astrology student and I have a special interest in the Venus Cycle. In my podcast we're following the mythic journey of Venus as she descends into the underworld as the morning star and then rises as an evening star. Venus will pass through eight gates on her descent to the underworld, and this is when she joins the crescent moon in the morning sky. We are now at the early time of December, the 9th of December, Venus meets, Scorpio in the heart chakra gate. This is where we're called to surrender to the ways we are no longer truly loving ourselves. Jupiter is in the sign of Taurus, opposite this gate, helping to open up our heart space. Jupiter brings expansion, it brings growth, it brings new perspectives. Venus rules the sign of Taurus and is how we value ourselves. So, Jupiter can expand our inner strength, our inner power at this time. There's a focus on what our resources are, how we care for ourselves, how we nourish our mind, our body, and our spirit. We're called to ask ourselves what it is that our hearts desire, what it is that we individually need for self care. That varies from person to person. And also, we have Saturn here in the sign of Pisces, which had been retrograde for some time and has recently, in the last month, gone direct. We're being asked to see where we need to put a little bit more time and more discipline into spiritual practices that help to bring us to a place where we're having an easier time to find forgiveness and unconditional love. This of course starts within, we need to forgive ourselves before we are able to forgive others. Where have you been too self critical of yourself? Where have you been shaming, blaming? Not giving yourself enough credit, maybe not feeling like you're worthy enough. This is a time where we're really supported by the planets to forgive ourselves, and find that space in our day to attend to our own needs. We also have Neptune Direct now, and also supporting us for For having more forgiveness and having more compassion for ourselves and others. Just after the new moon on the 12th, we will have mercury going retrograde in the sign of Capricorn and it will be retrograde until the beginning of January. It's an excellent time for us to slow down, take some reprieve from the hectic pace and think about what some of our long term goals may be. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, which is in relation to our long term plans, the structure, the foundation, our ancestors, finding comfort in some of those family traditions. is supported at this time too. And then we'll be coming up to the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice, and after that the days will be getting longer. There's going to be a return to the light and a growing of the light. But for now we're in a darker phase of the year and it's, it is a time for stillness. It is a time for reflection. We're at a time that rebirthing is very supported especially with this Scorpio influence with Venus and the moon meeting in Scorpio for the heart chakra gate. Scorpio is connected with our fears, our addictions, our codependencies. And so it's a good time to maybe check in and see how any of these may be impacting your relationships. Impacting your relationship with yourself as well as your relationship with others. There's a lot of healing that can come from Scorpio as well and again, a rebirthing, an alchemizing of an old, decomposing that, reestablishing and growing something new and more improved. Something that is more in resonance with where you're at today.
