I'm your host, Maddy Hazen – a self taught brand & website designer, creative director, and fellow mamapreneur. As the founder of Pais + Haze Creative Co., I have designed for nearly 100 brands, so I know a thing or two about marketing. As a boy mom to a toddler, I also know a thing or two about navigating motherhood. My business experienced a major shift when we started our family, so I know firsthand what it’s like to be trying to be all the things all the time. This podcast is a safe space for authenticity, where we can talk about the real challenges that come with being both a devoted mom and a driven business owner.
You know the saying, ‘you’re never too old to need your mom’? Well, the same can be true in business. Everyone needs a little guidance, accountability, and community. You’re an impressive business owner, but maybe not a branding expert — so I’m here to make it feel a little less daunting and lonely. I will keep it real, offering down-to-earth advice on branding, design, marketing, and social media strategies without industry jargon. It's like having a mentor, therapist, and friend all rolled into one — a Brand Mama!
I won’t pretend to have all the answers in this ever changing landscape, because I am constantly learning, growing, and improving how to balance being a working mom. While I will share insight into my area of expertise in branding & marketing, I am not here to give you a blueprint to follow.
