First of all, let me say this though the rest of this year is gonna be the best of this year. I talked about that a couple of podcasts ago. I want you to prophesy that that the rest of 25 is going to be the best of 25 in Jesus name, and I believe that with all of my heart, and I speak that and prophesy that and declare that over your life right now, in Jesus name. And if you want to go to the next level, then this podcast today, this teaching today, is going to be a blessing to you, because I believe it's really going to minister to your life and I want to talk to you about the key to your next level getting a coach, being mentored, being discipled, and how important it is and I'm going to be redundant, yes, I am because this is so important it is a lost art in the body of Christ.
Speaker 1:I was talking to somebody recently and they told me they were having a conversation with somebody about discipling and growing people, and a person looked back and said listen, be easy on the other churches. A lot of people just aren't into that. And I was thinking in my mind how are you not into discipleship If you are not? Listen to me now I want everyone to catch this real quickly If you are not being discipled, you are disobedient. If you are not discipling, you are disobedient. How can I say that? Matthew, chapter 28, verse number 19 and 20. You ready? Go, therefore, and make this matter of fact.
Speaker 1:Let me go up to verse 18. I didn't put this down, but let me go up here. I'm going to show you this. This is why a lot of people don't have authority. I watch this. Stay with me. This is why a lot of people aren't walking in authority. Watch verse 18. And Jesus came and spoke to them saying all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. See, we like that part, we we. Oh, my goodness, all authority. Thou will give me authority to trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shot by enemies harm me. We quote Luke 10, 19 immediately. If you notice something, both of these scriptures on authority had to deal with an action statement before them. He sent the 70 out. They went, they found out that they had authority. Now watch this. Now stay with me for a minute.
Speaker 1:The reason why many people are sick, why many people are bound, why we constantly need healing lines, counseling centers, why we constantly have to give prophetic words after prophetic words, why people have to constantly get loans and need a hand with different things and not saying that if you need any of those things or ever used any of those things. That makes you a bad person, but we have made it a lifestyle. You want to know why we have focused more on that than what I'm about to share with you. If we would get back to discipling people one-on-one get back to the one, grow the one we would need a whole lot less of prayer lines. We would need a whole lot less of counseling centers. We need a whole lot less of those things. If we would just simply grow people. But listen, we live in a day and hour and a generation where people love the crowds but we despise the people.
Speaker 1:We train people to do ministry. We train people to do work in the church. We train people to be loyal to the church. We train people about the culture of the church. We train people about all these things. But are you being discipled? Are you being mentored? Do you have a coach? And many people are struggling in their life and watch this. We have replaced God's design for man-made programs. I'm going to say that again we have replaced God's design for man-made programs. So, instead of doing what I'm about to read, what do we do? We do counseling centers, we do all these things, we do prayer lines and we do healing services and all those things, and the reality is, in God, our people are supposed to be walking in health, but if they're not discipled, they are not going to get it.
Speaker 1:Now go back to verse 18. He said all authority has been given to me. Now, if I want the authority, I have to do the following command you ready Verse 19,. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all. Now, why did he tell them? I'm giving you all authority? I gave you all authority, so, when you go, all the authority will be given to you to do this Make disciples of all the nations. Let me help somebody. You should have a multicultural church. Ain't no such thing as a white church in heaven? Ain't no black church in heaven? Ain't going to be a side with the Hammond B3 organ or the Catholic organ or Presbyterian organ or whatever type of organ there is, and have a hundred person choir and have someone that does all the runs and all that stuff. No, no, no. We all going to be in one place and in one accord, and all that stuff. No, no, no. We all gonna be in one place and in one accord. All nations need to be decided. It doesn't matter what nation or background you are.
Speaker 1:We are growing people in the spirit, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit Verse 20, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you, and, lo, I'm with you always, even to the end of the age. Now look at this you don't get that authority, you don't get that power, you don't get that victory unless you're doing the following, and I believe that there's a lot of people walking in bondage and not exercising their authority because watch this, we are trying to walk in authority without position, I'm sorry, without principle. And so the reality is is that the principle is this go and make disciples. And so the reality is is that the principle is this go and make disciples and what happens? The authority will come as the result. So a lot of time, people and the Lord made this very clear to me said Jay, you would need a whole lot less healing lines, you'd have to do a whole lot less counseling if you just disciple people.
Speaker 1:In many people, all we focus on is crisis discipling. What do you mean by that, pastor Jay? When somebody's going through? We've turned the discipleship into something that you do if you have a disease. There's something wrong with you If you have some type of disorder. Instead of you don't go to school because there's something wrong. You don't go to school because something is malfunctioning. You go to school to learn. So you don't go to school because something is malfunctioning. You go to school to learn so you don't malfunction. You go to school to learn so you don't get into disorder. Why don't we take people to school in the kingdom and grow their lives, teach them how to live the kingdom in everyday life? And then we wonder why there's no authority. So what we've done? We've had people fall in love with temple ministry. Temple ministry is when you enjoy Sunday morning. We've got to have a great program man. We've got to have Fufu the dog and we got to have Bozo the clown and we've got to have Christina the cat and all these types of things and different candies and video games all to replace kingdom discipleship.
Speaker 1:Jesus goes to Peter in John, chapter 21,. Asks him three different times Peter, do you love me? He said, lord, I love you, feed my sheep. And he come back again Peter do you love me? Feed my sheep. Then he asked him a third time Peter, I need to make sure you're very clear on this, peter. Do you really love me? He said. Then, feed my lambs. He said, lord, you know all things, but why do you keep asking me this question? He was trying to let him know how important feeding his sheep were. Trying to let him know how important feeding his sheep were.
Speaker 1:There's another passage of scripture that talks about Jesus said after he had ministered to the multitudes, he ministered to the crowd. He ministered in temple ministry. People got healed, delivered and set free. But what was amazing, even though they were free and they got healed this is what he said. He said he was moved with compassion because they were as sheep having no shepherd.
Speaker 1:We have done the first part of ministry People get healed, they get delivered, they get set free, and that's why some of you are listening right now. You go round and round and round and round and round. You hear promise after promise, prophecy after prophecy. You're still praying, you're still believing, but you have never done the discipleship work. The discipleship work is where you get the breakthrough. The discipleship work is where you grow and develop the temple ministry. That's where you get the healing, you get the breakthrough, you get those different types of things that you need. Praise God for that. But then there should be a development, one-on-one discipleship ministry.
Speaker 1:One pastor called it cell ministry, like cell group but not listen to me, not small group where you get together and just do another Bible study. Cause what we've done? We took temple ministry and we made that cell ministry. Are you watched that? We took the cellman, that we made it a smaller. We made I'm sorry, we made cell ministry a smaller version of temple. So if you have 200 people in your church, when you get together in your cell group, it got seven, 10 people. What do we do? We preach to them the same way we did on Sunday morning. It's just another version of cell, of temple ministry.
Speaker 1:God wants you to walk with somebody that's pouring into your life. If you have not had that, I promise you you are plateauing in some area of your life. If you have not had that, I promise you you are plateauing in some area of your life. If you have not had that, there are areas of development and maturation that are not going to be experienced and you will live a life of cycles because you are not doing the most important thing that Jesus said all authority was given to me for to make disciples teach them all things whatsoever. I've commanded you and he said lo, I'm with thee, even until the ends of the age. Are y'all hearing what I'm saying right now? I need you to type in the chat I'm following you, pastor Jay. I got you, pastor Jay. I'm with you. Pastor Jay, this is the key to the next level in your life.
Speaker 1:God told me three things. He said tell the people, keep oil in their lamps, love in their heart and sin and leaven out of their lives. And this is one of the ways that I am going to be equipping and educating people in our ministry to be rooted and grounded, to stay rooted and grounded even though this wave of coldness and darkness and deception is coming. How important it is to be connected to the vine in this season. Ladies and gentlemen, oh my goodness, I can't begin to tell you how important it is that you are connected like never before. Now I need you to do me a favor. Go with me to Matthew, chapter 18. Matthew, chapter number 18. We are going to look at verse number 19.
Speaker 1:Now, what happens here? People may say well, why is discipleship so important? Real, simple. Why is baptism so important? Because Jesus had to do it. Why is discipleship so important? Because Jesus said to do it. Why don't people do it? Because we think we found a better way to grow God's people. And so what happened?
Speaker 1:We have a bunch of people in our church, but very few people with power and authority. It doesn't mean they don't love God. It doesn't mean they're not going to heaven. But if you are not getting one-on-one discipleship, something is missing in your life and I'm going to give you an opportunity today to be able to sign up for that. We have made that a focus that every person in our church has to have. Discipleship ministry that's willing to sign up for it, anybody that's ready to go to the next level, anybody that achieving it, never getting it, never getting to it. Listen to me there is a level of favor you've got to grow to. Every man or woman of God that was ever used greatly by God had to go through a season of process. They had to go through a season of maturation. They had to go through a season where somebody was growing them. Hallelujah, my good God almighty. Matthew 18. I got to be careful. I'm getting a little emotional here.
Speaker 1:Verse number 19. Again, I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask will be done by my father in heaven, why Verse 20.? For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them. Every time you show up and somebody meets with you, one puts a thousand, two puts 10,000 to fly. When they come together, how does 10,000, if you have a thousand, I have a thousand. That equals 2000,. Right, but in the kingdom, one plus one equals 10,. Uh, 1,000 plus 1,000 equals 10,000. Why? Because that's what Jesus his math. Don't make sense, but it works. One plus one equals 10. 1,000 plus 1,000 equals 10,000. A 10,000 fold or 10 fold return. In that it's real simple. I mean, it's powerful when you really think about it.
Speaker 1:And what happens when you get together one-on-one? He said I'll be there in the midst. So he brings 8,000, and that's where his grace gets put into your life. Now why is grace important? Grace is what you get when you're obedient to the scriptures. When you're obedient to the scriptures, you get disciple, because he commanded in Matthew 28. And when two come together, he said he'd be there in the midst and he watches over his word to perform it. So what happened? Just like he told Peter three times, if you love me, feed my people, that means he's waiting for somebody to feed you. Feeding doesn't happen. Watch this. Feeding doesn't happen. On Sunday morning you think, oh, that's the feeding. No, no, no, no, no, no. That's where you find out where he's feeding you. That's when you find out where he's growing you. The growth happens in the one-on-one, the individualized development of your walk with Jesus Christ, your journey in the kingdom, and so when you get together, jesus shows up in the midst and all sorts of prophecy, and then grace happens to you.
Speaker 1:What's grace? Grace is not a white hair older lady that sits in the back of the church that does the books and willing to answer the phone for the pastor that's been there for 45 years. Grace is a supernatural endowment and power of the Holy Ghost given to you. It is the building blocks. It is the supernatural endowment and power of the Holy Ghost given to you. It is the building blocks. It is the amino acids to your spiritual man. As amino acids and protein is to the physical body to build muscle, so grace is to your spiritual man. It is the empowerment of God, unmerited favor. It is his strength made perfect in our weakness. You get that when you apply Matthew 28, 18, and 19 into your life.
Speaker 1:Come on, somebody, this is what is missing. I'm telling you right now if you will commit to growing your life, if you will commit to being mentored, if you will commit to being a stop. See, a lot of people don't like that, though. Why? Because somebody's going to get up in my business. Mm-hmm. I don't want all that. I don't want somebody telling me what to do. It's not for that reason, but this is the reality. You don't know what to do, because if you would have known what to do, you would have done it by now, and it opens you up for God's supernatural favor and blessing. Your promise can be here, your maturation could be here. It is grace that grows you to where you reach the point where you are seeing eye to eye with your breakthrough, and then God will break you through in your life. Hallelujah, thanks, be unto God.
Speaker 1:Now I want to go here real quick. Let's look here. Luke, chapter number two. Go there if you would, and in verse. I'm not going to read through it all, but in verses 41 to 50, not that we got a little bit of time here. I got a half hour. Let me let me do it. Let me read this. Let me show you something here. I want you to catch this.
Speaker 1:His parents went to Jerusalem. This is the story of Jesus when he was at the temple as a little boy. His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Past, when he was 12 years old. Why is 12 important? Because it's a number of government. It's a number of establishment. It's a number when God begins to lay the foundation he even talked about. The 12 tribes are the foundation of the Old Testament. The 12 apostles are the foundation of the New. It's about foundation. This is when Jesus began laying the groundwork for the foundation of his ministry. You'll see where I'm going.
Speaker 1:They went up to Jerusalem, according to the custom of the feast, when they had finished the days. As they returned, the boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem and Joseph and his mother did not know it but, supposing him to have been in the company, they went a day's journey and sought him amongst their relatives and acquaintances. So when they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem seeking him Now. So it was after three days. I wish I had time to talk about that. There's a reason why that's there.
Speaker 1:They found him in the temple, both listening to them and asking them questions, at 12 years old, and all who heard him were astonished at his understandings. So when they saw him, they were amazed and his mother said to him son, why have you done this to us? Look, your father and I have sought you anxiously. And he said to them why do you seek me? Did you not know that I must be about my father's business? They didn't understand the statement which he spoke to them.
Speaker 1:Now Jesus is 12 years old. He gets left behind. He's completely satisfied with it. We take a look here at what happens. He begins now. He's in the temple, he's working, he's talking about what's going on and in the temple and the revelation and breaking down the Torah and all these type of thing, and they're completely blown away at his knowledge of the word at 12 years old. Hallelujah.
Speaker 1:But Jesus was in a training season, not a reigning season. One of the biggest misconceptions when people don't understand their seasons, that they're in and you need to understand. There are seasons of training, then there are seasons of reigning and many people are Listen, you can bring down goliath and still not be ready for the throne. You can still have the power to bring down the lion and the bear and still not be ready for the throne. God is preparing you for the position that he has for you and because we got anointed, we think we're ready for the, but we haven't been processed because nobody has discipled us. And what happens? You've got to come up a level. Now let me show you what I mean by that. Look at verse 51. After he said, okay, I'm going to come back, I'm going to be submitted to my parents. Look at verse 51.
Speaker 1:Then Jesus went down with them and came to Nazareth and was subject to them. He understood it's not my time yet and I've got to grow and develop. But his mother kept all these things in her heart. Now watch this. This is what I want to show you. When you are subject to somebody, when you allow someone to grow you, when you are a disciple, there's people right now that are listening. Your marriage would make it. Your marriage will make it if you are a disciple. Many of you now I feel this from the Spirit of the Lord Many of you want to know man, how come I'm not developing, I'm not growing? You think that marriage counseling is going to make all the difference in your life, and maybe it will, maybe it won't, but this is more important than marriage counseling. You've got to be discipled. Sometimes God uses things in our marriage to grow us and develop us. Some of us are looking for a promotion on the job. We're looking to start the business. We don't understand. What we're in right now is even go to another place, not understanding that God is trying to do things in you. He's trying to grow you, he's trying to develop you, he's trying to shift you. He's trying to take things out of you that need to be removed. He's trying to prepare you for what he's prepared for you, and it says he was subject to them. My goodness, we had more people that were subject to the authority. A lot of people only go where they're. They want to go someplace where they can use their gifts ready, but not have to grow their character. This is not kingdom, but I want to show you this. Remember I said breakthrough here. Excuse me, where I am is right here Now. Look at this. Then he went down with them verse 51, luke, chapter two and came to Nazareth and was subject to them, but his mother kept all these things in her heart. Excuse me, verse 52, and Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and with man. Now watch this You'll never be ready to defeat devils until you are subject to somebody long enough to where you increase in wisdom. You increase in stature and in favor with God and with man. So what happens is your level of ministry and your breakthrough in the door that God has for you is here. You're here as somebody grows you and develops you. You are increasing in wisdom, increasing in stature, increasing in favor with God and with man until you hit that level and then a breakthrough happens and you can step into what it is that God has for you. We have bypassed this.
Speaker 1:Jesus at that age was 12. You don't hear him back on the scene. You hear nothing about him in those silent years. For 18 years, nothing is spoken of Jesus. He was perfect, he was sinless and he still needed 18 years and he still had to grow and he still had to develop. Why do you think he focused on his discipleship so much? Why do you think he focused on the disciples so much? The reason being is because he understood. It took me 18 years. I've got to walk with you guys each and every step of the way.
Speaker 1:Your next level is not on a prayer line. Your next level is not in you opening the business. Yet your next level is being discipled. And if you will be discipled, if you will grow, if you will develop, if you will increase in stature and wisdom and favor with God and with man, you are going to see everything you need. Matter of fact, you're not even going to have to try. It's going to happen for you all by itself. That's why you're tuning in right now is because God's got a breakthrough. God's got a promise. God's got a ministry. God's got a breakthrough. God's got a promise. God's got a ministry. God's got a business. God's got promotion. Stop striving for that. You don't have to strive for it. God's already got all of that worked out.
Speaker 1:But what you need is a development of yourself personally. We need to get people in church. People always talk about they want revival, but yet still you're not gonna have revival until you can carry revival. You gotta go from needing a revival to becoming a revival. You got to go from needing a prayer to being able to pray for somebody else. You got to go from needing a loan to supplying someone else with a loan. You got to go from having a need to be healed to healing others. You got to go from being delivered to becoming a deliverer. You got to go from needing a sermon to being and giving a sermon. Whatever it is, it is through the realm of coaching and discipleship and mentorship that grace gets multiplied, that you get stronger and stronger until you become the best version of yourself that God has called you to be.
Speaker 1:Your next level is not in a prayer line. Your next level is not in a prophecy. It is in the ability to steward what God has put within you. I am preaching better than some of y'all are shouting right now. I should see a million and one amens right there Because, god, we have missed it.
Speaker 1:We disciple people for ministry, but we have failed to just simply disciple the minister. We grow people to do children. We grow people to do men's ministry and women's ministry and praise and worship and how to sing and how to find harmonies and how to run the AV department and how to be a greeter and how to be a parking attendant. We teach them all those things. We spend so much time focusing on temple ministry. We focus so much time, focus on growing people for what needs to happen on a Sunday morning, but we don't take the time to grow them for how they live Monday through Saturday. Who am I talking to right now?
Speaker 1:Your next level is in what I'm talking about. Your next level is there. It's not in more fasting, it's not in more of that. You need somebody growing your life. I never grew as a man. I never grew as a husband. I never grew as a father. I never grew as a pastor until somebody sat down with me one-on-one. Not because I was horrible, not because I was in crisis. I was growing and we think we're going to grow on Sunday morning. Hear me well, if you don't hear anything else, please capture this. You grow in one-on-one discipleship.
Speaker 1:The purpose of Sunday morning, the purpose of a Wednesday night Bible study, is to be able to hear the word of God and know what he's saying to you, so you know where he's growing you, and that's just why you should never show up to church before a man or woman of God without taking notes, whether you use your iPhone, your iPad, your computer, whatever it is, because if you come to hear from the Lord, I believe it's important enough for you to write it down, and what you do is you take that to whomever it is. That's your coach, that is your mentor, and you begin to share with them what you believe God is speaking to you. Why? Where two or more are gathered there, I'd be in the midst and when you are subject to be taught and to be educated and to be instructed and to be mentored and to be coached and to be discipled, the Spirit of the Lord will invade those times together, and not only will he give you the grace and the ability to grow and to develop. He's going to give you wisdom, he's going to give you words, he's going to give you insight. There are going to be things given to you, gifts given to you that you could not have gotten on your own, and you will never get on your own until you get connected to somebody else and submit your life and be willing to let them pour into your life, and then you will get every single thing that you need. The provision will be there, the wisdom will be there, the know-how will be there, the people will be there. All of that will simply happen because you allowed yourself to grow and to develop. Who am I talking to today?
Speaker 1:Your next level is in what I'm talking about right now. I believe that with all of my heart. I believe you're watching right now because you're tired. You're tired of hearing about it. You're tired of shouting over your problems. You're tired of hearing about your family being saved, but they're not getting saved. You're tired of developing church and ministry and being faithful and tithing and giving those things, but yet still, where is what is it God has for me? Some of you are tired of serving in ministry and not fulfilling your own business and not fulfilling your own call and not being able to fulfill what God's given you to do. You know there's more within you than what you've had and you're ready for more and you want to step into more, but you haven't been able to step into it because you're missing what I'm talking about.
Speaker 1:Your next level come on, somebody is in what I'm talking about. We need less. We will need less prayer lines, less deliverance lines, less loan lines. We'll need less of everything if we'll grow people. And because we're not growing people, people live from one crisis to the next and not realizing all of that is meant to let them know. I need to grow you. And the Lord spoke this to me and I'm almost done. He said you know what? If you'll begin, jay, to grow my people, if you'll begin to feed my sheep, if you'll begin to develop them individually, one by one?
Speaker 1:Not that you can't teach in mass crowds, because Jesus taught in crowds, but listen, when you are taught in a crowd, you learn principles that illuminate your heart, in your heart that you know God is speaking to you about, and then you go and figure out out how do I apply these things in my life. That is where we drop the ball. When you get a prophecy, somebody should be praying with you over that and walking you through that prophecy, speaking to you about that prophecy, ministering to you about that prophecy showing you, mapping out a plan. We don't steward it. We get a prophetic word and we wait for something to manifest. We wonder why it doesn't come a lot of times. Or, when it does come, we're not ready because we despise the day of small beginnings.
Speaker 1:And this is the time that God is calling you and me to rise up in this season. It's time for you to step in and listen right now, if you're feeling a call and, as you're listening, say man, I'm ready. I want someone to grow me and to develop me. I've got a ministry waiting for you. Grow me and to develop me. I've got a ministry waiting for you. I want you to email me at admin at anotherlevelchurch and say Pastor Jay, I want someone to grow my life. I want someone to meet with me and invest into my world. I've got great leaders that are ready to pour into you. I've got a great ministry.

Speaker 1:We are designed to help you become the best version of yourself possible. That's what we're focusing on in this season and I want you to get there. I'm tired of you shouting about stuff you haven't attained yet. Aren't you tired of that? God's ready to bring you into the abundant life, the fullness of what he has for you. Let me pray for you, father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for every person listening and watching. Thank you, father, god, that Lord, no-transcript and Lord. May they never be the same, and I feel this by the Spirit of the Lord. This is the thing when God puts you in a job, when God puts you in a mentor.
Speaker 1:Sometimes you may not like what you're seeing no-transcript are, so their wisdom level, their perception and perspective on things will differ from yours because you do not have the experiences that they have. But if you will stay rooted and grounded, it will begin to make sense to you as you stay rooted and grounded in the Lord. So, father, god, I bless them, every person, right now, in the name of Jesus, that they would grow, they would be developed and they would become the best version of themselves that you've called them to be. Heal their bodies, renew their minds, touch their souls. In the name of Jesus and Father, we give you the praise and the glory that every shackle is falling off, that sicknesses are falling off, heaviness is falling off. The sicknesses are falling off, heaviness is falling off. All of the weights are falling off right now. In the mighty name of Jesus, in Jesus name, we pray Amen, amen, amen.
