The Assassination of Charlie Kirk
We want to hear from you! Send us a text!
A profound tragedy has shaken the political and faith communities as 31-year-old Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated, leaving behind a young wife and two small children under the age of three.
• Charlie Kirk, married in 2021 with children born in 2022 and 2024, was known for his Socratic-style dialogues and respectful engagement with opposing viewpoints
• This is not a time for critiquing rhetoric or political positioning but for mourning a human life cut short and supporting his grieving family
• The assassination represents a spiritual battle between truth and falsehood, reminiscent of the biblical story of Cain and Abel
• Christians are called to respond not with retaliation but with prayer for Kirk's family, witnesses to the tragedy, and our divided nation
• Martyrdom historically strengthens rather than weakens movements, potentially turning this tragedy into a catalyst for spiritual awakening
• We must recognize we're not fighting against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, requiring spiritual weapons - prayer rather than retaliation
• The challenge is to transform this tragedy into a turning point where truth prevails over violence
Pray for the Kirk family during this unimaginable time of grief, that God would comfort his wife and provide for his young children who will grow up without their father.

I just literally got back from vacation, from my birthday, just a couple hours ago, a few hours ago, and I felt in my heart I wanted to get on here and pray for his family. I'm not going to go heavy into it all because there's still things unfolding, but I felt I would be remiss if I didn't take some time to speak on this matter and then also pray over the families. All that and more coming up on this episode of Dimensions. Well, good evening everybody, and you know what. It's a different type of a moment for this here, this episode of Dimensions. Speaker 1:But you know we want to get in on what happened here today. I was flying back from Florida and I was coming back and all of a sudden I get a news flash that he had been shot. And immediately I just was like this has got to be wrong. This can't be really what's happening. I mean, it's the eve of 9-11. I'm sitting here thinking all of these I'm going through TSA and all these things you know, the day before 9-11. So obviously that's kind of in the forefront of our minds and how we'll never forget.
Speaker 1:And then I get this newsflash of what happened to Charlie Kirk. Some of you may not know this, but I've been to some of his events. I've been to TPUSA. They had a major event down in Nashville. Matter of fact, we had a good friend of Charlie Kirk's at our recent gala, pastor John Emichukwu. He was there and he spoke for us and he's very well connected in TPUSA. If you've found out about Pastor John Emichukwu, you know exactly what I'm talking about. He is a force to be reckoned with and he was very good friends with Charlie Kirk and we went down to an event held in Nashville, got a chance to meet up with Pastor John and got a chance to see the wonderful work that Charlie Kirk was doing. And you know, one of the things I want to mention is this I think it's very, very important that I mention this.
Speaker 1:This is not the time to critique Charlie Kirk. This is not the time to talk about what he did or didn't do or his rhetoric. He did or didn't do or his rhetoric and you'll see I saw different news broadcasts already talking about you know his rhetoric and things like that and, ladies and gentlemen, this is a human being that has a family. He got married in 2021. He's just been married just about four years. He had his first baby in 2022 and his second baby in 2024, not even a year old yet, or maybe just a year old, I don't know the exact dates, but a very, very young family. And we've got a picture of he and his family as well. And this is the focus that every person should be having right now is what has happened with he and his family. You know you have a mother now that is grieving. You have a family now that is grieving. You've got children that are going to be without their father. I mean, you've got all of these things that are happening and, as you could see there, the family I mean, this is a young man here, 31 years old, that is just speaking his piece, you know what?
Speaker 1:Let me say this too If anybody has done it right, it was him. He was totally on point with how he was addressing people. He was totally on point with how he was addressing individuals and how he was addressing people that were coming to him. He would, he would stand up with them and he would talk with them and he would address them and he would let them be confrontational and he respected who they were, which is what every person needs to be doing, and that's what he did, and you have to give him his flowers when it came to that. And it's unfortunate that people are critiquing him and his rhetoric. I mean, I was watching even on CNN they're talking about his rhetoric and things like that and I was like you know what? It just broke my heart to see that. You know, it doesn't matter who passes.
Speaker 1:This is a young man, 31 years old, doing things in his mind and, in my view, the right way in regards to addressing people. He would have a Socratic type atmosphere where he would bring people together, let them confront him. He would confront them, talking to them about the things of the kingdom. He would let them go and they would just have a conversation. And that's what he did. He went around to different places just trying to challenge people on why they believe what they believed, and had Socratic type atmospheres. That he did and it was just completely outstanding of what he did and what he represented and what he did for the Christian faith and what he stood for.
Speaker 1:And a mighty general has fallen. And even if I didn't agree with him, if I didn't agree with his stances, for somebody to be brutally assassinated like that, it doesn't matter where they are, who they are this is not the time to be addressed. So one of the things I want to say is do not get caught up in the rhetoric, do not get caught up in people talking, do not get caught up in, you know, bickering with one another. This is not the time for retaliation. Think about his wife. I mean, my goodness, four years married. Now she has what to be a three-year--old and about a year old child that no longer has a father. And of course people say well, you know they have faith and things like that. It doesn't matter. It still hurts and we need to be praying for their family. We need to be praying for the children. We need to be praying for his parents. We need to be praying for any of his family and friends and others that are affected by this tragedy.
Speaker 1:This is awful, ladies and gentlemen. This is totally that. If you hadn't had a chance to see the shooting, I don't recommend watching it. I'm going to be talking about this probably for the next two or three days. I'm going to be addressing what's been happening here. I actually saw the shooting. It is just horrific. It is not something that you're going to find aired. It is just terrible, and they need to bring these people to justice.
Speaker 1:If anybody's been doing it the right way, it was Charlie Kirk, and what I mean by that. He would just come together. He would allow himself to be challenged. He would challenge others on their thinking. If you've never watched him, watch his forums. He totally operated. Now, he challenged people, but that's what democracy is all about and he did it the right way. And for somebody that was doing it the right way to be brutally assassinated the way that he was is just unthinkable, and so many.
Speaker 1:I've watched newscasters and people just weeping and crying over this man and his family throughout this time, and this needs to be our focus. Now let me say this as far as what God is giving to me right now concerning this, I'm not going to go into a whole lot of it. You're going to have to tune in, because God always speaks to me concerning these moments. But one of the things that's really on my heart right now the Bible says there's a time to mourn. This is a time of mourning. This is a time where people are hurting and people have to process the hurt, they have to process the pain, they have to process what's going on. I can only imagine what his wife and children not his children, really, but his wife and family are feeling at this moment, and it's just grotesque to me that somebody and every time you turn around, you're seeing more and more people there's just another shooting that just happened. As a matter of fact, a lot of people aren't going to know about it.
Speaker 1:I believe it was in Denver. Today there was a high school shooting that happened because the Charlie Kirk assassination eclipsed it, and then, two weeks ago or a week ago. We had another shooting that just happened and I did a series on that, and it's funny how it's targeting the people that are in the Christian faith. It doesn't mean every single mass shooting is dealing with Christian faith, but you don't see the Christians murdering others. You don't see the people that are standing for righteousness, in whatever capacity, killing those that are in unrighteousness. It's the Cain and I shared this before that this would be a season where the Cain and Abel spirit would rise up, because there is a dividing that is happening, ladies and gentlemen, and that's why it's so important that we pray for our leaders. Pray for your children in school. We pray for our leaders, pray for your children in school, pray for your pastors, pray for your preachers, pray for one another, pray for Charlie Kirk's family, pray for Erica Kirk, pray for all of them that are battling at this time. It's so important that we are praying for one another.
Speaker 1:You know, the Bible talks about how in the book of Genesis, where it was in Noah's time, and I believe it was Genesis chapter let me see if I can find it real quickly Genesis, chapter number six. And it says here let's see, here I believe it was. Let me look this up. Genesis, chapter six. I'm going to make sure I have it exactly right before I give this to you. I'll have to find it because I didn't plan on going here, but the Bible talked about how there was a murderous spirit that came into the earth during Noah's time. Yeah, there it is, I'm sorry. Genesis, chapter 6 and verse number 11. Genesis six, verse number 11. I want you to see this here. It says that the earth, the Bible says that Noah had found grace with God, and then he went through the genealogy and how Noah walked with God. And then it says in verse 10, and Noah begat three sons Shem, ham and Japheth. The earth also was corrupt before God and the earth was filled with violence.
Speaker 1:If you have a concordance very, very unique, the word is Hamas and I've shared about how, in this season, that is what we are seeing is Hamas in the earth. We're seeing a murderous spirit and Jesus said it would be like the days of Noah and the only thing that can cover you from. Yet remember this I've seen news anchors and people talking about how you can't say there's not evil in the earth after seeing what happened to Charlie Kirk. There's evil in the earth. And it's funny how people say oh, there's not a devil, there's not a hell. This is hell. No, no, no.
Speaker 1:What you're seeing, ladies and gentlemen, is the manifestation of the spirits that will be in hell, these murderous spirits, this Cain and Abel analogy, if you will, that Cain spirit that rose up to kill Abel because his works were righteous and Cain's were not. And so, instead of repenting as a result, we see how Cain decided he was just going to kill Abel. And we have to be praying in this season for protection for all of our leaders, especially those that are standing for righteousness, ladies and gentlemen, but once again, we've got to pray for his family. We've got to pray for his children, we've got to pray for all those that are standing for righteousness, ladies and gentlemen, but once again, we've got to pray for his family. We've got to pray for his children, we've got to pray for all those that are affected, even the people that were there, that God would get the glory in the middle of this. Imagine.
Speaker 1:You know, let me say this real quickly the worst thing that you can ever do to a cause is kill its founder. Whenever you make a martyr out of a founder, you cause the movement to accelerate and to enlarge, because then the people begin to have compassion for the injured party. And now, because of that they have compassion, which means that I will suffer with you they begin to open up. That's the reason why, back when Emmett Till was murdered, his mother, after they brought him back and he looked completely horrible and they said well, you don't want to have an open case? No, no, no. They need to see what they did to my son. And when they saw what they did to her son, even racists begin to repent. People begin to look at it differently, because that was a human being. So this is the thing. Now watch this.
Speaker 1:What the devil will try to do in this season is create more anger and wrath and make it about war. And make it about no, no, no, because then what happens? You don't have compassion. War. And making about the no, no, no, because then what happens? You don't have compassion on the man and the message that he had and his movement. So that's what the devil wants to do. He wants to make. That's why you can't allow your heart to be filled with bitterness, you can't allow your heart to be angry, you can't allow retaliation. That is not the answer, that is not God's plan, that is not what he wants. He wants all men to be saved.
Speaker 1:It doesn't mean we don't challenge the things that are happening, but not with a retaliatory spirit, because we're not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rules of darkness of this world, against spiritual weakness and high places. What does the Bible say? Therefore, take unto you the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And the Bible says, having done, may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And God says, having done all to stand, to stand and enlist, from the heaven of salvation all the way down to your feet, god, with the preparation of the gospel of peace. It is important that we understand this is not flesh and blood, this is not people. Yes, people are the puppets of the principalities and powers, but the reality is the only way you win this battle is through prayer. And that's why, before I go, I want to take a moment and we're going to pray and intercede and ask God's blessing because of how tragic of a moment this is. But that's what they're going to say the devil always try to take and twist it, retaliate, retaliate.
Speaker 1:Think about it when Jesus was on the cross, the devil thought he destroyed him. That's why we read 1 Corinthians 2, he said if the devil would have known he was crucifying the Lord of glory, he wouldn't have done it. You can't kill the founder of a movement and make them a martyr and not expect the movement to expand. Jesus said it like this except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and dies, it abides alone, but if it dies, it'll produce much fruit, we may be on the verge of one of the most greatest moves of God we've ever seen. We may see and, to play on his words, it could be an actual turning point. It could actually be a place where there's a pivot that is going to be made, where there is a shift that is going to happen. And that's why the Bible says if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked way, then I'll hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land.
Speaker 1:And of course, like I said, I want to go into more of what the Lord has already spoken to me and shown me concerning what it is. But this is not the time to go into all of that, but just to all of that, but just some things that we need to be praying about. We need to be praying for revival. We need to be praying for those students and those people that were there and how this will impact them. Seeing somebody brutally assassinated.
Speaker 1:A lot of people may need counseling. They may not sleep well. I mean, they could deal with terror. I mean there's all sorts of things that could happen and we need to pray. Please hear me that the word of God does not get bound. See, what they want to do is they want to silence the voice. When I say they, the principalities and powers through people, want to silence the voice of those that are speaking truth, because truth, crushed to the ground, it must rise again, and that's what he stood for and that's what I believe the turning point is. Is America returning back to truth that a man is a man, a woman is a woman, marriage is between one man and one woman, abortion is murder. I mean, whatever it is that you want to mention. These are the truths that the devil is trying to annihilate and raising up people in order to see. This is an opportunity. In order to see, this is an opportunity and we cannot see this as a stumbling block. We cannot see it as a rock of offense, if you will. We have to see it as a stepping stone. We cannot allow his death to be in vain. We have to pray, we have to intercede, we have to get the mind of Christ and find out what is the spirit of the Lord saying in this day and in this hour.
Speaker 1:It's so easy to react in the natural. It's so easy to react with retaliation. There are going to be some people that are going to just be grieving. There's going to be some people that are going to want to retaliate. There are going to be some people that are going to spark off anger. There can be somebody saying like come on, let's hit them back. We're not wrestling again.
Speaker 1:This isn't a right wing, left wing thing. It's not that I don't care what anybody tells you. That's not what this is about. This is about truth and lies. Ladies and gentlemen, this is about light and darkness. This is about the life versus death. This is about heaven versus hell. Don't politicize it. Don't make it political. This has nothing to do with politics. I tell people this all the time and if you've watched me for any amount of time, I tell people all the time this is not political. We have to get that into our minds and we have to get the mind of the Lord, because the Bible says that we have the mind of Christ in 1 Corinthians 2, verse 16. You have the mind of the Lord that you may instruct him in prayer. You can look at the cross and see what the Lord was up to. The devil couldn't figure it out. He thought it was the end. This very well could be the beginning of something brand new.
Speaker 1:God, I can't share everything right now, but there's things that Lord spoke to me. Even when I was away, he began to speak to me. He said when you get back, there are some things that I was beginning to look for and the Lord began to speak to me. I'm going to share some other things with you in the days to come, but I want to take a moment now and I want to just intercede and I hope that you'll take a minute and pray with me. Hope that you'll take a minute and I hope that you'll tune in over the next couple of nights at 8.30 on Thursday night, on Friday night, and I hope that you'll share these. I'm going to get in more on this as the Lord leads me and I'm going to talk to you about what I believe the Spirit of the Lord is saying and there's going to be more coming out and as more comes out, I'm going to be addressing those things as well. But we want to pray and ask God's blessing upon the families. Come on, let's pray right now.
Speaker 1:Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before you, father, we intercede right now for every plot and plan, father, that you have, father, god, that it would come to fruition, but every plot and plan of the enemy would come to nothing. Father, we pray for Charlie Kirk's wife right now, and their family. Oh God, we intercede for them that their hearts, father, would be comforted in a way that only you can. Father, we can't even imagine the feeling and the anguish that they may be feeling. Lord, I know that your grace is sufficient. Lord, we are not candidates for grace if we can do it in ourselves, but, lord, I know that they are candidates for grace right now.
Speaker 1:Lord, I pray for every student, father, that was there, every faculty, every person, every man, every woman, every sinner, every saint that was there at that time, that, lord, you would get the glory. You would be lifted up, god, you would be exalted, father. You, father God, would get the glory. You said that, if you would be lifted up, that you would draw all men unto you. And so, father God, we're praying right now. Father, that, lord, something great would come out of this. Father, we may not be able to see it with our natural eye, but, father, you said all things that you have heard, jesus, you said all things that you have heard from the Father you have made known unto us, because we are no longer slaves, but, lord, we are now sons, we are now friends of God. And so, father, god, I'm praying that we would have the mind of Christ. I'm praying today that every spirit of retaliation would be denied.
Speaker 1:In the name of Jesus, I pray, father, that, even as your son was crucified up on that cross, and you had a plan in the midst of it all, that, lord, you would begin to reveal your plan in the middle of this tragedy. And, lord, I pray that triumph, father God, and victory would come out of this tragedy. In the name of Jesus, I pray that every lie of the enemy would cease and desist. O God, I pray that you would get the glory, father. I pray, father God, that souls would be saved, that revivals would break out, that this would be a turning point for a supernatural awakening in the earth, o God, and so, lord, god, we pray right now that you would be lifted up, that you would draw all men unto you.
Speaker 1:I pray that every preacher Father would repent that needs to you. I pray that every preacher Father would repent that needs to repent. I pray that every church member would repent, father, and I pray that this would be a turning point, father, god, lord, may it be a turning point. In the name of Jesus, may everything that he stood for be a turning point, that we would turn back to truth. In the name of Jesus. And so, father God, I pray right now for his children, even now, that, as they get older, you would begin to condition their hearts and minds and spirits to be able to hear what it is that the Spirit of the Lord would say. That, lord, they would become better and not bitter. Father, god and Lord, that they would be blessed.
Speaker 1:In the name of Jesus and Lord, I bless her right now. I bless her charge, father God, that she has been committed to Father, lord, she has been willing to walk alongside this man and pay the ultimate price. And, lord, I'm asking, father God, that you would comfort her heart and that you would speak to her and encourage her in dreams and visions and knowledge and revelation, that, lord, you would gird her up and that, lord, she would even have that in her spirit. That we do not sorrow as others that have no hope. But, father God, may she have a consolation that only comes from you. Gird her up and strengthen her, uplift her, encourage her, edify her, build her up.
Speaker 1:O God, in the name of Jesus and all of the family and friends and those that have been affected by this tragedy, father, we ask for your blessing and Lord, we thank you. Lord, we give you the praise, father, we give you the honor, we give you the glory, father God, for what you're about to do, that you will use what the enemy has meant for evil and you will turn it around for your good. And, father, we thank you that, lord, you would give us all eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to obey your voice. And, lord, we thank you that, lord, you would give us all eyes to see, ears to hear and hearts to obey your voice and Lord. We thank you and Lord, we give you all the praise, the honor and we give you all the glory that you are going to take what the devil has meant for evil, father, and that you will turn it around for your good and Father. We thank you and we honor you and we bless you today In Jesus' name. We pray Amen, amen, amen, amen. Ladies and gentlemen, I want to thank you so much for your continuous prayers for the Kirk family.
Speaker 1:I can't tell you enough Don't get online and get into arguments. That's not what God wants. Don't get online and get into arguments. That's not what God wants. Don't get online and listen to the chatter, and you know there's people talking about that. This is the time that the right wing wants to call for war and all this stuff. Ladies and gentlemen, if we're going to battle in war, it's not with flesh and blood. Remember this Jesus will never anoint you to kill what he died for. If Jesus wanted to kill us, he would have. He wants to save us. It doesn't mean justice does not need to prevail, but remember this when Jesus was getting ready to be taken to the cross.
Speaker 1:If you remember the story, peter picked up a sword and cut off Malchus' ear and Jesus said wait a minute, you do not know what spirit you are of. Picked up the ear, put it back on Melchizedek's ear and what happened there? I heard a man say something years ago that I thought was really good. He said Peter had the right weapon, but the wrong realm. You need to have the sword, but it's not for the natural, it's for the supernatural, it's for the supernatural, it's for the spirit realm.
Speaker 1:And it's so easy in these moments to allow our emotions to rule and to reign in our lives, and this is why we must pray, so then we might have the mind of Christ and know what the spirit of the Lord is saying, and that we pray for those that have been affected by this horrible tragedy. It's a horrible tragedy, but God is a God that has an ability to take what the devil has meant for evil, and he always turns it for our good. Unfortunately, the Kirk family is walking through this time, but none of this took God by surprise. He knew this was going to happen Before he ever woke up this morning. God already knew, and this is what's amazing. If Jesus was slain before the foundations of the world because God knew there would be sin in the garden, god has already made provision for the Kirk family and if you are watching right now and you are battling in any area of your life, provision is already there.
Speaker 1:Remember, get the right weapon in the right realm and watch what God will begin to do in your life. Now let's continue to keep praying for them, let's keep the faith, let's expect God to turn this for his honor and for his glory, and remember the Kirk family and all those that are affected by this horrible tragedy. And tomorrow I'll be back here again on Dimensions talking more about this, and I'm praying for you that your turnaround is going to happen as well. God hasn't forgotten about you and I believe your best and blessed days are soon to come. I'll see you tomorrow. Same time, same dimensions, new level. Thank you, thank you.
