Charlie Kirk: A 21st Century Martyr
We want to hear from you! Send us a text!
Charlie Kirk's tragic death represents a modern Christian martyrdom that serves as a wake-up call for believers to stand boldly for biblical truth in an increasingly hostile culture. His life exemplifies what it means to be uncompromising in faith, speaking truth even when facing opposition.
• Standing for truth comes with a cost in today's culture
• Charlie Kirk represents America's first modern Christian martyr
• His organization "Turning Point USA" prophetically marks where we stand as a nation
• We must not retreat in fear or retaliate in anger but revert to kingdom principles
• The spirit of Jezebel (fear and intimidation) wants to silence believers
• Biblical persecution was predicted by Jesus in John 15-16
• We need churches and pastors willing to address controversial moral issues
• God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind
• This moment calls for serious prayer and spiritual awakening
• The church must rise up with boldness rather than compromise
Tomorrow at 1pm, join Pastor J. Anthony Gilbert on Cornerstone Television for a special broadcast about Charlie Kirk and what his martyrdom means for believers. Tune in to Dimensions every weeknight at 8:30pm for more insights on current events from a biblical perspective.
It's been just a little bit over 24 hours since the passing of Charlie Kirk, and I'm going to use a word right now, in this moment, that many of you have not heard. If we've heard of it, it hasn't been close to us it's the word martyr. I believe that Charlie Kirk is a 21st century American martyr. That's why many of us are struggling to wrap our minds around the reality of what has just happened. I believe it's a wake-up call and we're going to get into a whole lot of that and more. So stay tuned, because all that is coming up on Dimensions. Well, good day, everybody, and it is a good day. This is the day the Lord has made. We are going to rejoice and be glad, and thank you so much for tuning into Dimensions. I'm Jay Anthony Gilbert, alongside my beautiful wife, pastor Tiff is back in the house with me. So good to see you again.
Speaker 2:Welcome to Dimensions. Well, I'm glad to be back here with you, and we have some good stuff that we want to talk about tonight.
Speaker 1:We do, we do, and so listen as always. Take a moment to like, subscribe, follow and share the things that we're going to share. Many people may not be sharing. Share the things that we're going to share many people may not be sharing. I can tell you this we're not here just to fill some time and a clock. We're here because we believe God has ordained us to be here and to talk about some things that are happening in the prophetic. Now, this has been a major shift that has happened in the earth with the passing of Charlie Kirk, and that's why many people are looking for answers. People are wondering why? Why is this happening? What's's going on?
Speaker 1:We're going to talk about all of that, and that's why we need you to get this message out, because many preachers probably are not going to share what we're going to share tonight or today or whenever it is that you're listening to it, and I want you also, if you've missed it, or if you want to stay a part of the dimensions family, go to any place where podcasts are held and you can download the Dimensions podcast and guess what? We will be with you 365. We're coming at you five days a week, monday through Friday at the very least every evening at 8.30 pm live. But if you miss it, download the Dimensions podcast. And guess what happens? The moment we finish our live show, it gets uploaded into podcast heaven, if you will, and then, therefore, it'll be with you. You can listen to it when you're working out, when you're riding down the street commuting to your job, going to the grocery store, buying the groceries, wherever you are. Dimensions will be with you.
Speaker 1:And we're not only just talking about the Bible, we're talking about current events and things that are happening, which I do want to mention this. Tomorrow at 1 pm I hope somebody puts this in the chat 1 pm Pastor J Anthony Gilbert, along with some people there at Cornerstone Television, sidney Goldman will also be with me and we are going to be doing a live show about Charlie Kirk on Cornerstone Television at 1 pm. So put that down right now, don't forget about it. Let others know. Tomorrow, dvr it right now, take a minute while you're watching us and DVR that. And tomorrow at 1 pm, we're going to be doing a live show which I'm going to be going into a whole lot of things. God has just been downloading all sorts of things into my spirit and that's why we want to get these things out. You know, it's very important that we are here right now to share these things.
Speaker 2:That's right. Well, you know, I kind of want to go into just everything that's been going on with Charlie Kirk and I had a couple of women today that called and they were just so distraught and I understand. I mean, you know, for me it kind of hit me hard and just I could feel the sadness of the moment. But I also understand the importance of the moment and while you were talking I brought up the scripture and it says 2 Chronicles 7, and my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sin and I'll heal their land. You know, one of the things that popped out was the word turn and I thought it was interesting that Charlie Kirk's organization was.
Speaker 2:TPUSA, turning Point, usa and I feel I've been sensing this ever since yesterday that we are at a turning point in our nation. I don't think it's a coincidence at all that that organization was called Turning Point and we are here at this very moment at a turning point. I was sharing with some of the women earlier today, and even on prayer today I was sharing with them that I believe this is a time where we need to take advantage of the kingdom turn that God is wanting us to be a part of in this day and in this hour, and a part of that turning is for us to pray, babe. I feel like this is a point where we need to stop playing around.
Speaker 2:You know, we need to really get on our knees. We don't have the luxury of saying anymore that we're too busy, we don't have the time. You know, I was watching on it was a clip on Facebook, I think, and it said if we could just use our Bibles as much as we use our phones. And I thought about it and I said, yeah, you know, there's sometimes where we just we pick up our phone just out of instinct. You know we're scrolling, just out of instinct. You know we, if we're bored, we pick up our phones and we look and we're searching. But imagine if we did that with our Bible. Imagine if we said every time we have a moment where we're thinking, okay, we want to pick up our phone and just scroll, or we want to pick up our phone and just look at recipes, and that's not all bad.
Speaker 2:What I'm saying is I believe in this day and in this hour, babe, that we need to be rooted, firmly rooted, in the word of God. We need to know what this word of God says. We need to not only quote these scriptures, but we need to apply it in our lives. That is, honestly. That is the only way that things are going to turn when we stay connected to the vine, when we know the word of God and we know the truth of the word of God. It's the inerrant word of God.
Speaker 2:It's not I was telling somebody today. It's not a buffet people, it's not a buffet. I know some people who look at the word of God and it's a buffet. You know what I don't like really how that sounds, so I'm not going to take that. I don't really like how that makes me feel, so I'm not going to take that. But I really like how that makes me feel, so I'm going to utilize that and I'm going to make that applicable to my life.
Speaker 2:And that is not what God intended at all. It's either you believe the whole inerrant word of God or you don't. And I think in this day and in this hour is we are. God is looking for people to stand up and firmly make a stand on the word of God. And what the word of God says, you know and I think that's one of the things that Charlie Kirk did very well is he stood up for his faith. He stood up and shared the gospel. And it's interesting, I thought, and I shared this with you earlier I thought it was really interesting that now, as a result, the gospel is being shared.
Speaker 2:I mean, there was a big billboard in the city of Pittsburgh that I saw with his name on it and it said pro-life up top, and pro-life is not a political issue. And we've shared that pro-life is not a political issue, it's a moral kingdom issue, and these are some of the things that he stood for. So I think we're just at a weighty moment. I think that's what a lot of people feel is we're just it's a moment filled with a lot of weights.
Speaker 1:Well, I think too with that is that it's not people want to talk about all this stuff that he was politically assassinated. I want to change that. I want to say he was a spiritual martyr. He was a 21st century martyr. He died for his faith. Ladies and gentlemen, let's not get it twisted here. And he died because of the things that he shared that this world doesn't want to hear about, and one of the things that I think people have missed in this day and hour. Read John chapter 15 and John chapter 16.
Speaker 1:Matter of fact, all of you that go to another level this Sunday, lord willing, I'm gonna be talking about the kingdom response. Check this out the kingdom response to suffering and persecution. We have lost sight of that. And, like you said about getting into the Bible, if we were in our Bibles we'd understand what's going on right here. If we understood really what's happening, we would know, because we're trying to discern it through a natural lens. We're trying to look at it like well, I see it through the natural. Oh my gosh, what about his wife and what about his kids? What about that? All that is important. I'm not downplaying any of that, but if you do not have a kingdom mindset about this. This can make you afraid. This can make you scared. This can make you all those things Jesus said in John chapter 15, very clearly he said they hated me long before they hated you, and the Bible says something very profound.
Speaker 1:I don't want to preach my message yet, but the Bible says that because they hated him, because they did not know the father One of the things people have to understand that the reason why there's hatred out there in the world is because they love their sin and they don't know the father. Read your Bible. The answers are right there in the book of John chapter 15. And what I love about it? He tells his disciples that listen, they're going to thrust you out of the synagogues. He said they're going to deliver you up to death. They hated me, a servant's not greater than his master. And he begins to talk about all these things. But this is what I love about it. Here's the encouraging part, ladies and gentlemen. In the middle of all of this that is going on, jesus says to them in the last couple of verses John chapter 15, 15 and going into John chapter 16. Don't worry, don't let it be a stumbling block, for I am going to send a helper. I'm going to send the paracletos, the one who comes alongside to help.
Speaker 1:People wonder what happened with Charlie Kirk. Why did this happen? He's a 21st century United States of America martyr country. United States of America are martyr. He is the first martyr that I have seen in America that has died for his faith.
Speaker 1:That's why we say why did he get martyred? Why did he get martyred? Because he was being a light in the midst of darkness, because he was willing to share the truth, because he was willing to say a man is a man, a woman is a woman. Marriage is between one man and one woman. He is willing to confront people and what I love about it, he would bring people to the college platform and actually demonstrated democracy, give them an opportunity they can share their point. He would share their point and if you ever watch any of his clips, you'll see they would cuss him out to no end and he would let them talk and he would do a Socratic teaching moment, which is where they would gather around and allow the diplomacy of talking and to come together and to chit-chat. And you share your view, I'll share my view and I love what he said on his tent.
Speaker 1:Prove me wrong. Let me share this with you guys. The Lord showed me this. This is the generation of, where the Elijahs and the false prophets have been brought together. He was a modern day Elijah, my good God, almighty. And what do I mean by that? He brought people together and said let the God that answers by fire be God. You do your way, I'll do my way.
Speaker 1:Prove me wrong. He was a modern day Elijah. And listen to me. Listen to me, very important here. Do not allow the spirit of Jezebel to make you retreat into a cave. This is not the time to retreat. This is not the time to retaliate, but this is the time to revert back to the kingdom of God. I'm going to say that again. It's not the time to retreat. It's not the time to retaliate. It's a time to revert back to the word of God and the kingdom of God. All of you that are battling with fear. The devil is a liar. Greater is he that is within us than he that is within the world. I am praying for his wife. I am praying for his wife, but I am.
Speaker 1:I am wondering what her response is going to be. I just don't. I. And even if she listen. If she doesn't, I no one would blame her. I wouldn't blame her, no matter how she's dealing with this. I don't want to seem insensitive, but I just believe. I just I just have an impression. I think there's a woman of God in there that's called stand up, and God is not going to leave her helpless. God is not going to leave her hopeless. She will have to grieve and walk through this, but you're talking about martyrdom here. I don't want to even use the word assassination anymore, because assassination is yeah, you were killed by somebody else, but when you are martyred, you are martyred because of your beliefs and what you stand for, and I know that God is going to resurrect his family. God is going to bless his family because he died for his faith.
Speaker 2:Well, you know you mentioned about his wife and I got an opportunity to hear her speak just on a few different occasions and she is truly a powerhouse and those of you who are watching. I don't know if you saw this, but I thought I saw this very thing and, if you did, if you could just type it in and just let me know, give me a thumbs up and to confirm what I think I heard. But I think, in kind of scrolling and looking over different information I thought they said she put up, she tweeted or Facebook, one of those things I thought she put up. The scripture of the Lord is a very present help.
Speaker 1:Yeah, god is our refuge, god is our strength.
Speaker 2:A very present help in the time of trouble. Yeah, she put that up right before he died, less than an hour.
Speaker 1:That's what you died Less than an hour.
Speaker 2:That's what I heard.
Speaker 1:Less than an hour, 11.45 am.
Speaker 2:Right, right, right. And I didn't know if it was after that, but it was actually before. So that word is in there. She is a woman of God. She is a Bible-believing, bible-reading woman of God, and I believe this because of the promise that is in the scripture. I believe that she's going to experience a grace and a strength during this time.
Speaker 1:That's my prayer.
Speaker 2:That she's, that she has it. So she didn't even think that she would be able to experience. I believe that God is going to come and truly be the wind beneath her wings.
Speaker 1:So, and I'm praying that with that, that that's my prayer, that she will rise up and say oh death, where is your sting? Oh, gray, where is your victory? That God would raise her up and give her a grace and a strength and a dignity. That state, because this is a martyrdom, you know, and that's what I want people to see Don't use the word assassination. He was martyred for his faith, and I believe that the church of God came in on martyrdom. It will also go out on the backs of martyrdom as well, and we have to understand, ladies and gentlemen, the world hates the world. When I say the world, the world system, Let me stop real quickly too. Stop making this political.
Speaker 2:Yeah, that's right, because it's not. That is the devil's plan.
Speaker 1:It's a political thing. It's a political assassination. No, no, no, because you're removing the spiritual aspect of it out. You cannot interpret this through a natural lens. You have to see it through the kingdom. You have to have a kingdom perspective. This is not political. This is spiritual. This is not right wing and left wing. This is not Republican and Democrat. How can I say this? I said this long before Charlie Kirk was martyred. I said this back before President Trump was in office. I said it long before President Biden was in office. I said I'm not a Republican, I'm not a Democrat, but I am a Christocrat and you have to understand everything that goes on in the kingdom of God, that's happening in the world. You have to see it through a kingdom perspective.
Speaker 1:God is not calling us to retaliate. Come on somebody. God is not calling us to retreat. He's calling us to revert back to his word, and my prayer for her is, in the name of Jesus, that she would rise up with supernatural strength and that God would grace her with might and power, and that his death would not be in vain and that the church would resurrect itself and begin to come forth in the name of Jesus and begin to stand for something.
Speaker 1:Woe unto every preacher and any of these preachers. We need milquetoast Christian preachers placating to people. As a matter of fact, on my way coming into this, I was thinking in my mind I was like man, I got to do more. I was like man, I got to do more. I was like this man's out there at 31. Standing up for his faith, taking on college liberal thinking people I mean just taking him on and people in the church can't even stand up for marriage, won't even stand up for abortion In the church, not in the world where he's at, in the church. And then we wonder why we have no power.
Speaker 2:Well, you know, I think, isn't that what revival is? Isn't that the start of revival, though, when true repentance comes to the surface, where we say Lord, forgive us for not being obedient. Forgive us.
Speaker 2:God for not creating and being a better disciple of Christ. Lord, forgive us for not being an ambassador, a better disciple of Christ. Lord, forgive us for not being an ambassador, a better ambassador of Christ. Forgive us for those opportunities that you've given us to share the gospel and we didn't take it because we were scared about how people were gonna think, how we could possibly offend somebody. You know, for me I'm like, I think about eternity. Amen, that's what I think about, you know, when I share about eternity.
Speaker 1:I'm like I think about eternity.
Speaker 2:That's what I think about. You know, when I share about eternity, I share that if you have a piece of paper, okay everybody, you take a piece of paper, you draw a line and you take a very it's a pointed, whether it's a pointed pencil, pointed pen, whatever and you just put a dot on that line. That dot is actually representative of our time here on earth. It's just as it relates to eternity. It's a little itty bitty blip on the timeline of eternity and really, if you want to even say it like that, because there's no time necessarily in eternity, but I just feel like, babe, we have to make a stand, people have to make a stand.
Speaker 1:People gotta make a stand.
Speaker 2:You know, it reminded me of the dream that I had. I had a dream Maybe the Lord will speak to me a lot of times in dreams. I had a dream maybe three, four years ago, and in this dream there was this sand. We were at a beach and it was this huge sand beach and the Lord's finger came down from heaven. He took his finger and it was like this huge finger and he drew a line in the sand.
Speaker 2:Indicative of these are my people, but these are not, and I believe where we're at right now, we're going to see the true emerge and the people that are not afraid to share the gospel. There is a people, and the Lord is trusting us. There's a people out there that need to hear the word of God. They need to hear the word of God. It's eternity. I'm so, you know, grateful to see somebody even as young as Charlie Kirk share the gospel at all costs. You know, I think he also said too that somebody asked him how would you like to be remembered? And if I'm not mistaken again those of you who are watching if I'm leaving something out because I'm going off of pure memory here but if I'm not mistaken, he said that he would like to be remembered for his faith.
Speaker 1:Yeah, for his faith, and he is.
Speaker 2:And he is. He's being remembered for his faith. He's just zeal for Jesus. His name is a strong tower. I mean, he loved his Lord, you know, and that's the people we need more, people that are willing to make that stand, because there's so much at stake right now.
Speaker 2:I believe right now I don't know if you sense it, you that are watching, but I sense it in my spirit. I mean it is heavy on me, I sense it just. I mean I've been sensing it since yesterday very heavy that we are at a turning point. I mean I said it before earlier, but I believe that we are at a turning point. I think we're going to see things shift in a very expedited way. I believe that things are coming, things are we're on the cusp of happening right now and I believe it's going to be very important for the believer and those who are followers of Christ to be firmly rooted in the Lord, in His Word, and spending time in the presence of God right now.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and you know, and it's so important that we understand what he stood for and the way that he was willing to stand up for his beliefs. And, man, we could take a page out of that for every preacher that's in America today, my goodness and I was thinking about if he had to come back right now. He would say don't weep for me, but weep for yourselves. And I was thinking like man. I was like Lord, give us people that are willing to stand up, give us people that are willing to go out there and to confront things. Everybody might not agree with all his methodologies when he went about it.
Speaker 2:Nobody's perfect right, but still his willingness to go out there. Yeah, and there are people that are hiding in the closet Right, that don't want to say anything because they might offend somebody Exactly. We need to throw that out the window, everybody. It's time to throw that, that thought of not wanting to offend somebody. And now, now, now, listen. This is the thing I'm not saying. I think it's how we say things.
Speaker 1:Of course I'm not saying we should be rude or disrespectful. The truth are heard enough by itself.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you know, I'm not saying we should do it, but we should do it in love, right? You know what I mean. And it's amazing when you do that in love, what happens, you know. I just want to point out what Savannah shared. She said she believes that there are those that are of the remnant alive.
Speaker 2:Now, for such a time as this, the Lord is really trying to see who is all in, and I believe that you know, and I think that's the call. The question really is are we all in? I think you have to ask yourself right now are you all in? Are we all in If the Lord said, go, do this, are you going to do it? Are you going to be obedient? If the Lord said, hey, share that, will you do it? I think these are certain things that right now, we have to ask ourselves. Are we willing to go at all costs? Are we willing to put it out there on the table and say, god, I trust you, for you, god, I trust you. For you, god, I live and for you I die? Where are you at? I think that's a question we all can ask ourselves at this time. And can I say this? I want to say one thing though this whole couple weeks we have experienced a lot of tragedy. We need to be praying also for those who have lost their lives in the school shootings.
Speaker 1:In Denver, Colorado.
Speaker 2:In Denver just recently.
Speaker 1:I think it was Denver Colorado.
Speaker 2:Well, that was just recent. And then there was another school shooting where there were young kids in a church service and the gunmen fired shots.
Speaker 2:And these young people children, school-age children lost their lives. You know even the young woman who got stabbed on the train from. I think she was a Ukrainian refugee. These are things. That's why it's so important I'm mentioning this too because one we want to recognize them too, because we want to make sure that we keep them, their families, in prayer as well, but also it is so important to make sure that we are on our knees. I had somebody today call me and I can understand the frustration. I mean I'm frustrated as well. You know what I mean.
Speaker 1:You have all these emotions inside, but I think it's important to make sure that we stay on our knees emotions inside, but I think it's important to make sure that we stay on our knees, and I'm going to be talking this weekend on Sunday about that. So, even if you don't come to my church, if you want to tune in, I'm going to be talking about the kingdom response to suffering and persecution. I think it's a lost art and I think the reason why we don't see much persecution in the church anymore is because we're not saying anything worthy of persecution. All we're serving up in most pulpits is appetizers and desserts. It's time to bring out the broccoli and the cauliflower and the Brussels sprouts and the asparagus and the tomatoes and all the things that come along with a good, healthy diet and putting aside all the junk food.
Speaker 1:And that's one thing that Charlie Kirk did. He was out there attacking. That's why people didn't like it and that's why the Lord spoke to me prophetically earlier this year and then also even the last couple of years. He said you're going to see a return of the Cain spirit back in the earth, and what that means is that Cain killed Abel because his deeds were evil and Abel's were righteous, and so, instead of repenting, cain said I'll just take out the son, I'll just take him out and then hopefully, that will be better. And what happened? The Bible says Abel's blood cried out from the ground to the father. I believe even Charlie Kirk's blood is crying out to the father, just like the blood of those 63 million plus babies that cries out to the ground. But this one here has a different cry. As a matter of fact, in the book of Revelation it talks about how then the martyrs, the blood, would cry out. They would begin to cry out to God and say how long until you will avenge us? And I believe that there are people that are living. That's why, ladies and gentlemen, if you are in a church, if your pastor in the last year or two hasn't mentioned anything about transgender, hasn't mentioned anything about marriage, hasn't mentioned anything about abortion, hasn't mentioned anything about these atrocities that are happening in the earth, to give you a biblical perspective and understanding.
Speaker 1:Not to condemn, listen to me, not but that you would have a moral compass to know right and wrong. And I said this earlier. It's not about left and right, it's not about Republican and Democrat, it's about righteousness, holiness and hell. That's basically what this song is about. It's about good and song is. It's about good and evil. It's about right and wrong. It has nothing to do with political parties, ladies and gentlemen. This has everything to do with simply god's word, and it's important that we stand up and that we cry loud and we spare not and that we declare what thus sayeth the Lord All the meanwhile, we need to be interceding for Erica Kirk, for those two young babies. A baby that's three and just either one or getting ready to turn one, it's just. It's so sad to see what has happened, but this is. We need to have a kingdom response. So all of you that are battling with anger and fear fear is the big one too.
Speaker 1:I want to go back to that for just a minute, because when Elijah, once he brought down fire from heaven, what happened? He said choose you this day, whom you're going to serve, prove me wrong is what he was saying. He was a modern day Elijah, and Jezebel sent out her voice, says I let God do more to me, and more so if I don't have you like one of these prophets, because he had killed all the prophets. And so Jezebel ended up causing him to run into the cave. He retreated, he went back in there and begged for his life.
Speaker 1:Ladies and gentlemen, do you realize something here? I don't know if you even knew this. I don't think I've shared this revelation with you. Elijah was carrying now watch this the anointing to destroy Jezebel. He was anointed to destroy Jezebel. How do I know that? Because when he was in the cave, the Lord spoke and said go anoint Elisha, his successor, and he said go anoint Jehu. And I think it was Jehaziel if I'm not, if I have the name, or forgive me if the name's wrong but there was another prophet and he said whoever escapes Jehu ain't going to escape Jehaziel. He said whoever escapes Jehaziel ain't going to escape Jehu.
Speaker 1:And the Bible says that Elisha and the prophets, they brought Jezebel down. The spirit of Jezebel, this lying spirit, this tormenting spirit, this fearful spirit, I believe is on the run in the name of Jesus. And I believe any of you that are battling with fear right now, that God wants you to rise up and be strong in him and the power of his might, to cry loud and despair, not to stand up for your faith, for there are more with us than there are with them. And what I love about Elijah, when God showed up to him there at the cave, he said there were 7,000 that did not bow the knee to Baal nor kiss him Hallelujah. Thousand that did not bow the knee to Baal nor kiss him, hallelujah.
Speaker 1:There are people out there right now that are waiting for some voices to stand up, and I believe that the death of Charlie Kirk is going to begin to resurrect the army of the living God, that people are going to begin to rise up, that the army that has been back, pushed back and pushed to the side, that has not stood up, is going to stand up for their faith and going to declare what thus saith the Lord. And I'm believing, god, that this will be the turning point and we will begin to see a national reformation and revival and a great awakening, because the real church is going to stand up and the real God is going to answer by fire, and I believe that we're in that day. I don't mean to preach, but I sense that in the house today.
Speaker 2:Great word, though Great word. There's so much truth behind that, and I think too, you know, we understand we've heard the scripture that you know the Lord hasn't given us a spirit of fear, but a power, love and a sound mind. That's what we need to walk in with Christians. You know fear is debilitating, and so that's why the enemy comes with fear. When you are stricken with fear, you can't move. It's hard for you to move forward. It's hard for you to do what God has called you to do, and it's in your fullness and the fullness that he's created you to do it. It's very, very difficult, so we need to. I'm so glad that you mentioned that about fear we want to let's pray over that.
Speaker 2:In the name of Jesus, let's pray over that In the name of Jesus, we'll pray over that, that spirit of fear that anybody's experiencing. And if there's anybody that is experiencing anything else that you need prayer for, we want to pray for you. But I thought it was interesting too. I don't know if any of you who are watching and you can type in if you've seen this. I don't know if any of you have seen the NBA stand up and make note and honor him.
Speaker 1:The. Nfl make note Baseball players.
Speaker 2:Baseball players Athletes.
Speaker 1:Actors.
Speaker 2:Actors Colleges. You know, I think that it's so interesting. I don't know if anybody has ever seen anything like that. You know, when it comes to this type of figure, you know, with other things, I know we've seen anything, but I haven't have you seen anything like that.
Speaker 1:No, not quite like this. I think this is unprecedented, but when's the last time you've seen such a horrific shooting and a martyrdom of somebody? It's never. I like I've been on this planet, just turned 48 and I have never seen a Christian martyr up close. This was televised for the world to see. Now it doesn't mean there's not martyrdom happening around the world.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:Right, I'm talking about in America. In America, ladies and gentlemen, it's right here at our front doors.
Speaker 2:Now, now this was live, right. Was this broadcast live?
Speaker 1:No, no no, it wasn't Well when I say live. They brought it out live on CNN, msnbc, every news station, entertainment Tonight. They showed live. But he wasn't on live. On live, no, when it happened. No, but thank God for social media because everybody gets a chance now to see it. And if you haven't seen, I actually have the video. I'm not going to show it, obviously, but I have the video, the upfront, personal video of what happened to him during that time and I want to mention this too to what you said.
Speaker 1:You know you'd mentioned about fear, um, and I don't recommend watching the video. I mean it's pretty uh, it's pretty rough, uh, in John 15, he goes through and he talks about how the world would hate him and he warned the disciples. But I like something really good here. It says but when the helper comes, he's talking. Right after he talks about people hating him and how they hated me without cause and all these things he says. But when the helper comes, who I shall send to you from the father, the spirit of truth.
Speaker 1:Ladies and gentlemen, you can't be persuaded with truth. Until you get the Holy Ghost in your life, you'll fall every time, just like Peter. You'll be cussing, saying I don't know the man, but man, when you get the Holy Ghost, my good God, almighty, everything changes. Who proceeds from the Father? He will testify of me and you will bear witness because you have been with me from the beginning, and then go to chapter 16. These things I have spoken to you. That you should not be made to stumble. They will put you out of the synagogues. That you should not be made to stumble, they will put you out of the synagogues. I thought that was amazing. That means they're going to kick you out of church. That means there's a lot of religious folk out there. Hear me well.
Speaker 2:That's why I said if your pastor ain't preaching the truth.
Speaker 1:You better run in this season because you're going to need some real preaching in this day and hour, real instruction, and to stand in this evil day. I'm not talking about condemning folk. I'm talking about right is right, wrong is wrong. If you're wrong, there's room for you at the cross. Come and repent, receive Jesus Christ, be cleansed from your sins, become a new creature in Christ, develop a new nature and walk in eternal life.
Speaker 1:He says I've written these things to you so that you won't be stumbled. They're going to put you out of synagogues. The time is coming Now. Look at this here, babe. The time is coming that whoever kills you will think he offers God a service. People right now, listen to me. This is the hour of deception. He says here the time is coming that whoever kills you thinks he will offer God a service. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the father nor me. But these things I have told you that when the time comes, which is right now, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning because I was with you Now.
Speaker 1:I'm not going to go into the rest of it there, but my point in saying this is this is what happened to Charlie Kirk. This is the biblical kingdom response, understanding that, jesus said hey, they hated me, they're going to hate you. And if he wouldn't have shared anything about abortion, if he wouldn't have shared anything about abortion, if he wouldn't have shared anything about marriage, if he wouldn't have shared anything about those things, he would not be where he is today. But I can see heaven opening his arms and welcoming him and saying well done, good and faithful. I got at least one out there that's willing to stand for righteousness and I believe there's a whole lot more too but he was willing to pay the ultimate price because he believed in what he believed in.
Speaker 1:My question to you and every preacher that's out there are you convicted? Are you persuaded about what you believe in? If not, this is the time to repent. It's not the time to retreat. Come on. This is not the time to walk in fear. This is not the time to retaliate. It's time to retreat. Come on. This is not the time to walk in fear. This is not the time to retaliate. It's time to revert back to. Some of us have never even heard a sermon like this. That's why this weekend, babe, I'm going to be preaching on the kingdom response for suffering and persecution.
Speaker 1:They're two different things. Suffering and persecution are two different things. And the reason why we don't need and the Lord dropped this message, he said, jay, the reason why we don't need and the Lord dropped this message and said, jay, the reason why you don't see Holy Spirit power? Because he said, he said and you shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come upon you and you shall be witnesses. People think that word witness means just go and tell somebody about your faith. Yeah, that's part of it.
Speaker 2:That's right.
Speaker 1:That word is martyr. You shall have power to die for your faith. I bet with all of my heart Charlie Kirk never winced. He never even winced, he was convicted. And I bet if he could be here right now, come back. He'd say don't weep for me, Weep for yourselves. Not because of any other reason, but simply we need to repent as a church and we need to learn from his example and stand in our own way, in our own grace, that we stand for the word of God.
Speaker 2:Amen, and I think also too. You know, things like this can cause tensions to fly and to flare.
Speaker 1:Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2:Really, and so I think this is not the time either to argue. If you find somebody wanting to argue, step back, let them say what they want to say, but then you can go and pray, and I think that's really the important part. You know, I think, as we kind of come to a close here.
Speaker 2:I think it's very important to stand on the word of God in Romans 8, 28. On the word of God in Romans 8, 28. And I had a piece of revelation. I shared this with you is you know, the word of God says and most of us have heard it is all things work.
Speaker 1:All things, all things, not just some things, all things.
Speaker 2:All things work together for good for those who love God and who are called according to their purpose. But there are two words before in the translation that I read. It says we know that all things. I think we need to get into a position where we know. We know the God that we serve. We know the God that we serve has never lost a battle. He's never lost a battle. There's a song I can't remember who sings it, but there's a song out there that says that he's never lost a battle. We know that God is in control. We know. So, as believers in salt and light on the earth, we need to walk around like we know. We know, we know in our spirit. We know that the God that we serve is the Lord of the breakthrough. We know, babe.
Speaker 1:We know that's right and we're going to take a minute and we're going to pray just for a moment. We want you to join in with us and those of you that are battling with fear or whatever it is that you might be battling with, god doesn't want you to walk in. That that's the spirit of Jezebel, that's Jezebel's voice being sent out, saying and you know what's amazing, elijah never died. Matter of fact, elijah's exit out of this earth was one of the most miraculous.
Speaker 2:Right, it was.
Speaker 1:Jezebel said he was going to take him out. She ended up dying. The Bible says the dogs licked up her blood and ate her flesh. I mean, come on. I mean, that's the woman. That's what's going to happen to that spirit in this day and hour. Amen, I'm telling you. I believe with all of my heart. The spirit of is going to be brought down in the name of Jesus, but it's not a person. It's not a person, it's a spirit. God will never anoint you to kill what he died for, and I believe that if we will walk in the power. That's why you got to get in a good gospel preaching, fire, filled, tongue talking ministry where the glory of God is, where people are convicted of truth and at least listen, even if they ain't talking in tongues. I believe in tongues and all that. At least let them stand for truth.
Speaker 2:That's right.
Speaker 1:Let them stand for truth in Jesus' name. Let them stand under the truth of God's word. A man is a man, a woman is a woman. Marriage is between one man and one woman. Abortion is anything that is conceived in the womb. It is a human being. It is murder. God knew them from the foundations of the words that before you were formed in your mother's womb. I knew you and approved of you.
Speaker 1:No matter what you're hearing, you need to stand for the truth. So we're going to pray that God will just fill you with fire, fill you with faith, fill you with conviction, and we're going to pray over the Kirk family and all of you that may be battling. You lift up your heads because God is with us. God is for the Kirk family. God's kingdom will move forward. God is not done with America. He's not done with you. You don't have to walk around in fear and torment. The greater one is on the inside of you. You are completely invincible until you have done everything God has called you to do.
Speaker 1:The only reason why Charlie Kirk is gone is because he has finished his course. He kept the faith and I heard one man my brother told me said that Pastor Greg Laurie said that he was only 31 years old, but he lived a full life. He lived a full life because he did more in 31 years than some people do in 3,100 years. That's just how great of a life he lived. You want to pray, and then I'll pray, and then we'll wrap up. Would you join with us as we pray right now?
Speaker 2:Yes. So, lord, god, we just thank you today for who you are we thank you for the mighty, matchless name of Jesus, father God, and in you we have everything, father God. So right now we lift up before you everyone that's on this book live Father. I thank you, o God, that in you, father God, we have freedom and you we have peace, and you have joy we know, Lord God, that your word says that you have not given us a spirit of fear. But of power love and a sound mind.
Speaker 2:So I thank you, O God, for multiplying that power multiplying that love and multiplying the sound mind in your people today. Father, God, Lord, I just plead the blood of Jesus over everyone on this phone call everyone that's here. Not a phone call, but Facebook. Father, I plead the blood of Jesus over their calls, their purposes their destinies.
Speaker 2:I plead the blood of Jesus over their minds, their bodies, their hearts, their emotions, father God, I thank you, o God, that no weapons formed against them shall prosper. Father God, we lift up all those who have experienced loss of a loved one. Father God, your word says that you are close to the broken hearted Father. God. So I thank you, Lord God, for infusing them with your strength infusing them with your grace.
Speaker 1:Father God.
Speaker 2:Even allowing them to tap into a joy even in this dry place in their lives, father God, so I thank you for your presence in our life, father God, father, I ask, oh God, so I thank you for your presence in our life, father God, father, I ask, oh God, that, even as we are remembering all the work that Charlie Kirk did, father God, and his stand for you, father God, I thank you, oh God, that there's going to be people and men and women that are going to rise up and say God, it is you, father God.
Speaker 1:Yes, yes, yes, it doesn't matter what man says. Hallelujah.
Speaker 2:But it's you, Father God, who we're sold out for. So, Father God, we thank you, oh God.
Speaker 1:Thank you.
Speaker 2:For the turning of the tide. The turning of the tide In this season, father God, for the salt and light being salt and light in a massive way in this day and in this hour. So God, in a massive way in this day and in this hour. So, god, we thank you today.
Speaker 1:Thank you.
Speaker 2:For who you are.
Speaker 1:And, father, we pray for every person that's battling with the spirit of fear. Father, your word says you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. We pray for every person right now, father, that's battling in their minds, oh God, questioning their faith, battling with whatever questions might be running around in their mind. Father, I thank you. You've made it clear in your word why these things have. You said they that live godly will suffer persecution. You said blessed are they that suffer persecution. Father, you've made it clear to us why these things happen. But, lord, you said in this world we would have tribulation. But be of good cheer, for you have overcome the world. So, father, I declare for every person that's watching, that they will walk in, overcoming power, overwhelming, anointing that they will not retreat, they will not retaliate, but, lord, they would be revived and revert back to the word and the kingdom of God. Father, bless them in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for Erica Kirk and the two babies. Oh God, we pray for all of his family, his friends and those that have been affected. Father, we pray, in the name of Jesus, that you would gird them up and bless them. I pray that the grace of almighty God would come upon her, for you have chosen their family for such a time as this. Father God, I pray for every preacher to repent that has lived compromise. Oh God, every Christian to repent, father, that has lived compromise, where we have not done enough, where we have not stood up. Oh God, may this be the day, May this be the turning point, may this be the hour where your people rise up and become all that you have called them to be. And, father, god, we thank you for the Lion of the tribe of Judah that is rising up inside of each and every one of us. May we be filled with your glory, with your boldness and with your conviction, and, lord, baptize every person that is listening right now. Lord, may they be filled afresh with the power of the Holy Ghost. O, god and Lord, I thank you today for your conviction, for your grace and for your goodness. O, god, bless all things, father, and may there be an awakening and a revival, but, lord, may it start in the house of God and Father, we thank you giving you the praise, the honor and all of the glory. In Jesus' name, we pray Amen, amen, amen, amen. Well, ladies and gentlemen, we thank you so much for tuning in today. We hope that you are blessed.
