And that's what I want to do: speak to the issues of our day. Speak what God has shared with me. And thank God there are times that there isn't a whole lot going on. There's not a whole lot going on. I'm going to have a word for you just to edify you and to pour into your life. And I believe one of the things that God wants people to understand right now, it is so important that you stay on path. Stay on path in this season. Don't allow things that have happened in your life to derail you in this moment. It is so vitally important that you understand that in this season, in this hour, I believe there is so much at stake that the times and seasons are changing. As a matter of fact, listen, if you're watching this in a couple of weeks from October 13th to the 17th, I am going to be hosting along with my beautiful wife, Pastor Tiffany, a whole week at Cornerstone Television Network, the Winds of Change Telethon. It is going to be off the chain. We got speakers coming in from all over the U.S. We've got live praise and worship. And I would love for you to come and be a part of our live audience. Yes, I'm talking to you. Bring your friends, bring anybody that you can get, rustle them up and come on out to Cornerstone, hang out with us live in the audience, hear the word of the Lord. And the reason why I'm saying this is one of the scripture God gave me is in the book of Daniel. And he talks about how God changes the times and the seasons. And I believe that we are in a season right now where things are shifting and changing. And we have got to adjust ourselves with what it is that thus saith the Lord. Now, listen, I want you to go with me to Philippians chapter 3, verse number 12. Philippians chapter 3, I want to look here at verse number 12. And I want you to take a look at this passage of scripture here, because I know that this will begin to speak to you. You know, one of the things I feel that we don't do enough of is get into the word of God. It is so important, ladies and gentlemen, that you are in the word in this season. Listen, when you're talking with people, ministering to people, pouring into people, let me back up even a little bit further. If you're not being discipled, we call it coaching. If you're not being coached, if you're not being discipled, and you have never, I you don't know how many people I have talked to that have been saved for years, people that are in leadership in a church and have never been coached, never been discipled. You don't know how many people I have sat down with in my years of ministry and found out that many people don't know some of the most simple of truths in the word of God because nobody ever walked with them. And if no one's ever walked with you, how do you know you are doing it correctly? How do you know you're doing it the right way? I was talking to somebody recently about some things and I asked them, give me your theological stance behind it. And they said, uh, I really don't know. And I said, Well, how do you know that what you're doing is correct? How do you know you're doing it the right way? That's where coaching and discipleship comes in. Isn't it amazing that before Jesus ever gave his disciples the Holy Spirit and power and called them apostles, he spent three and a half years teaching them the kingdom. God never gives you positions of authority and power, watch this, without first teaching you the principles. Having power without principles is a dangerous place because therefore you'll use the power and get off into all sorts of craziness. And it is so important that we understand the word of God. We are in a day and an hour where deception is at an all-time high. It's at an all-time high. I mean, people take one line from YouTube, one line from Facebook, one scripture from one person. They take it out of context, they run with it, develop a whole theological stance based upon it, and get themselves off into what I like to call goofyville, where you start making things up and people start following. Like I talk about Brother Josh. Y'all got to go back and watch my uh podcast about Brother Josh and the 2025 rapture prophecy, which I mean, if you know any little bit of Bible, you know that nothing that he said was true. The only thing that he said was true, that Jesus is coming back. But how he put it in the context, everything else he said was completely false. All you got to do is just know the Bible, and then you will not be led astray. It's very, very important that you are being discipled, and discipleship helps you keep oil in your lamp, love in your heart, sin 11 out of your life. Many of you are plateauing right now because you don't have coaching in your life. You don't have discipleship. Some of you, you are doing ministry, but you're burning out life. You're burning out in your family, you're burning out in your marriage, you're tired, you're weary, you're frustrated. I believe there's people even watching right now that you haven't even been taught how to pray. You say your prayers, but you've never been taught how to pray. Isn't it amazing? You look in Luke chapter number 11. The disciples asked Jesus, said, Lord, teach us to pray. He said, While he was praying, there was something so provocative about Jesus' prayer life that his disciples said, Hey, it's not like they didn't know about prayer. They knew about prayer. They were Jewish people, but yet still they didn't know how to pray like Jesus knew how to pray. And he spends, I love it. In Matthew chapter 6 and in Luke chapter number 11, he talks about how to get answered prayer and how to operate in the spirit of prayer. Many people don't even know how to pray, and it's not that their motives are bad. It's not that they're bad people, they love the Lord. But listen, discipleship does not happen by accident. It happens because you are intentional about it. Don't get so busy, watch this, doing the work of the Lord that you forget about the Lord of the work. Don't get so busy doing all these other things that you don't take the time to be disciple. Now I'm gonna mess you, mess with your theology right now. Just because you are faithful does not mean that you have matured in your faith. Just because somebody is faithful and they've been in ministry and they show up each and every week, some people are white knuckling their faith. They're white knuckles, they're not having any joy, they're not experiencing the presence of God, they're not experiencing it in their homes. They're just hoping on, holding on, saying one day in the sweep by and by, this is gonna feel better. I'm gonna feel better, I'm gonna look better. You know, things are just gonna change one day, and I'm I'm I'm gonna overdose on prophecy. And if I get enough prophetic words, maybe one day everything will shift. Ladies and gentlemen, discipleship cannot replace. I'm sorry, prophecy cannot replace discipleship. You have got to have people pouring into your life. And I just need to take a minute right here. Every time I get on here, I hit this prophetic flow right now. There are some of you watching right now that your next level is hidden in coaching. Your next level is hidden in being discipled. It's not that you're a bad person. It's not that discipleship is not for people that are in crisis only. It's not for those that are uh weak Christians. It's for those that have come to Christ. And if you've been in the church for 20 years, you've never been discipled, you still need to be discipled. It doesn't mean you haven't learned things along the way, but there are things you will get in one-on-one discipleship that you will not get anywhere else. And there's some of you watching, I can sense it in the spirit right now. There's some of you watching right now that you're saying, Man, I just really want more. You feel like your prayer life is empty, you feel like your walk with God is empty, you feel like you're doing all of this work, but you feel like, man, there should be more than what I'm getting. Because see, you can be anointed to do God's work, but you got to remember discipleship is something that's developed within you. The gifts and callings of God are without repentance. You can go serve in the children's ministry, you can serve as an usher, you can serve as a parking attendant, you could serve as an executive pastor and still be lacking things in your life because nobody's walking with you and pouring into you. When is the last time somebody prayed with you? Not because you're in a crisis, not because you got stage four cancer diagnosis, not because you're believing God for your children to get saved, but just to invest into your life, just to pour into you. We all need that. Pastors need it, leaders need it. Doesn't matter who you are, we all need that in some capacity in our life. And many of you, you've got hearts for God, you're loving the Lord, and He knows that, but your heart doesn't get bigger until somebody pours into your life. Discipleship is the way that you do that. And if you're looking for a place to get discipled, you need to come to another level ministries. We are a place that we are designed to help you to live heaven on earth. I have a culture in our ministry now that I am making sure every person that wants to grow and develop is personally developed and growing. I'm not gonna, I'm not the type of person to say, hey, just find a place to serve, get connected in the ministry, and hopefully one day you'll grow. We have bypassed the ministers to build the ministry. Instead of having pastors, we have pharaohs. I'm preaching right now. We have pharaohs, and if you say, What do you mean by that, Pastor J, read Exodus chapter one? Exodus chapter one talks about how Pharaoh took the children of Israel, God's chosen people, and had them build for him cities, pythons, and ramesses. He had them build these multiple multiple big buildings just for him, which is what a lot of pastors do. A lot of pastors don't really care about the people. They care about their program, they care about their vision. And all I want to do is get my vision done. Find a place to get in there and get the vision while the people are starving, while the people are hurting, while the people are struggling. God is tired of ministers using people as prostitutes. God is tired of pastors using people, not caring about them, only caring about getting to the next mission, getting to the next thing. The next thing is the people, ladies and gentlemen. And the reason why we're not seeing the loss being won is because the people are not mature enough in order to duplicate. They're not big enough, they're not growing enough in order to uh uh to uh grow and to develop and to reproduce themselves. How do you tell when a person is old enough to uh be considered uh uh uh getting into an adulthood or a teenager if they hit a puberty level? So you grow and they hit a puberty level and then they have the ability to begin to reproduce. The reason why churches don't reproduce is because we have people that are in the church in many years. They've been there for 15, 20 years, but they're still in the infant stages in their faith. We haven't won anybody to the Lord. We're serving because that's what we are told to do, but we haven't enlarged the capacity of our heart. We haven't enlarged our desire for the things of God. We're still struggling with the world. Do you know it is not God's will for you to struggle with the world? Do you know that is a sign that you are not growing as a Christian if you're always struggling with the world? It doesn't mean you never have any battles when you first come. But as you grow two, three, four, five years down the line, you shouldn't continually be struggling with the world. You should eventually outgrow those things. You should get beyond where you are, but that doesn't happen because you sit in a Sunday morning service. It doesn't happen just by coming on a Wednesday. It happens because somebody walks alongside with you and invests in your life and pours grace into your life. Grace is the building blocks of your spiritual man. And you only get that through one-on-one. There's something that happened, not even small groups. There's nothing wrong with small groups. Small groups are great, but there's something about one-on-one, somebody investing into you, pouring into you, walking with you. I never grew as a pastor, I never grew as a man, I never grew as a husband, as a father in any area of my life until I had somebody growing with me. Somebody was developing me. And I believe there are some of you watching right now that you're wondering, where's my next level at? It is in the coaching, it is in the discipleship. You need that in your life. And God is tired of pharaohs building pythons and rameses and building these beautiful monuments for their name. And look at what I've built, and this is my ministry, and using the people as prostitutes to get their next assignment done and not having a heart for the people that are there. Ladies and gentlemen, if we grow the hearts of the people, the Lord spoke this to me that many people are struggling with sicknesses, a lot of people are struggling with doubt and unbelief. A lot of people are struggling in their marriages, a lot of people are struggling with selfishness, a lot of people are struggling with just me, me, me, and me. And we preached all this law then, but then there's no discipleship with grace to cause them to grow and develop. God wants your heart to enlarge, God wants your capacity to get bigger. And when somebody invests into you, that scripture in Isaiah 10, verse 27 says, And in that day his burden will be removed and his yoke from off of your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing. The symbolism behind that is that you will be fed with the anointing in such a way that eventually you will outgrow the current yoke that you are in and supernaturally hit a breakthrough. It's the only time in your spiritual walk that you want to be overweight, if you will. You want to get so fat in the anointing that you begin to break through. And that's what God is desiring to do in your life. You say, Pastor Jay, what does this have to do with the detours? Everything. Many times things happen in our lives that are detours. Now, watch this, stay with me. But we don't know how to deal with detours. Detours should not derail you. If you get derailed because of a detour, it is because you're underdeveloped in your spiritual walk. And coaching and discipleship helps you to be able to manage detours. You know, it's funny how when you have a detour, they are one of the most inconveniencing things that can happen. You put in your GPS, says you're going to be there in 23 minutes. You hit a certain road, and then what happens? They have a detour. Now, instead of 23 minutes, it can become 35 minutes, it can be 40 minutes, it could be whatever it is, or something happens. And what happens to a lot of people, life begins to take its uh uh its toll on you because life happens. You're you aren't always gonna have everything go your way. All lights aren't going to turn green. You're gonna hit sometimes, you know how it is when you're running through the streets, you hit every single red light. Every once in a while you hit every green, but there's gonna be times you're gonna hit red lights. There's times you're gonna get up and not understand there's a detour. You're gonna get ready to head to your job, and there's only gonna be one lane instead of two or three, and everybody's trying to merge to get in, and now the line's extra long. What do you do in life when life hits you with a detour? The key is not to allow it to derail you. And I want you to see something here. Philippians chapter three. Philippians chapter three and verse number 12 through 14. I finally got to my passage here. This is for somebody today. See, coaching helps you to be able to understand, to manage, and to be able to appropriate detours the correct way. Most people in their walks, when they hit a detour, they derail, which means you when you have a certain goal and a destiny you're trying to get to, you you're you're trying to get there and the devil throws a detour. Some people get derailed. What do I mean by that? Give you an example of a detour. You're you're going to church, and then all of a sudden your car breaks down and you can't get to church. And all of a sudden a week or so goes by. And then now you have a detour. Well, what do I do with that? Some people they miss one Sunday, turns into two Sunday, to three Sunday, to four Sundays, and then they got to re-give their life back to Christ. Some people, maybe it's with a budget. Maybe something happens and you break your budget. Instead of getting back in line and redoing it, now what happens? You go through and you say, Well, I'm just complete and I throw everything out the window. They don't throw the bathwater out, they throw the baby out too. What's another example? Maybe you missed a date night because the kids got sick. So then what happens the next week? You don't have another date night. And before you know it, it's five weeks and you haven't had a date night. Maybe you had sometimes life happens, is my point, but you've got to learn to get back on track. And here's a scripture that will help you with that. You maybe you're trying to lose weight and all of a sudden you break your diet, or maybe you go to a party and say, I'm gonna have some cake. And if you're like me, man, you get a piece of cake. Sometimes a piece of cake can turn into a whole cake. Well, the key is you got to learn how to, even though it's a detour, don't derail. Don't go completely off the hook just because one little thing happened. Maybe you missed a day of working out, maybe you missed a few days. One of your kids got sick, and so you missed your workout. Maybe you got sick. Well, that means you got to learn to not derail. You've got to make sure you get back on track. Where are you right now? Is there an area that you've detoured that the devil's trying to get you to derail? Or maybe you've derailed and now you're hearing this and you know you need to get back on the track. Look at what it says here in Philippians 3 and verse number 12. Not that I've already attained or I'm already perfect, but I press on. Come on, somebody type that in the chat. I press on. You think about a bench press when you're under resistance and strain. Now, watch this. Sometimes God allows detours and resistance in your life. Watch this, to develop you, to develop the intestinal fortitude, to develop your will, to develop your faith, to develop your strength. Watch this, because it's not about the destination, it's about what you become on the journey. So sometimes when he takes you on that journey, he's actually developing things in you. Now, watch that. How do you handle detours? Get the mind of Christ. Find out why the detour is there. Don't get discouraged, don't get angry. James chapter one says, the wrath of God or the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. So there's no sense getting angry because it happened, but all things, come on, somebody. Romans 8 28, all things work together for your good to them that are called according to his purpose. So everything works for you. You are troubles, CEO, and trials and tribulations work for you. You've got to get the mind of Christ and figure out why this is happening. Sometimes when detours happen, God is actually using it to develop something in you. So then when you get now, watch this. When you get to where you're going, you will have the strength, you will have the faith, you will have the wisdom, you will have the understanding for where you're about to go. Are you hearing what I'm saying? That's the reason why you can't derail. You can't look at the detour as if it took God by surprise. The detour might have taken you by surprise, but it didn't take God by surprise. And you got to get the mind of Christ and get back on track. Can somebody type that in the chat for me? Get back on track. Come on, somebody. Get back on track. Whoever's listening to this and watching this, God's saying, get back on track. Get back with what he gave you. Don't drop everything because things went wrong. Maybe somebody hurt your feelings and maybe somebody did something to you. How many more times are you gonna be derailed? You're just gonna get all the way off the track because somebody did something to you. Stay the course, stay the path. We used to sing a song back in the day. My soul has been anchored in the Lord. Who's that for right now? You've got to have your soul, your mind, your will, and your emotions anchored in the Lord. You have to get to a point that even though the storms may come, the winds may blow, the breakers may dash, uh, you know, what does it say? Uh, I will not faint because he holds me fast. My soul has been anchored in the Lord. Look at this here. Not that I've already tamed, but I press on. Somebody say I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has laid hold of me. When you get a detour, press on because something's being developed in your life. Some people, when they go to workout, they got them little old weights, but it's and it's not if you start with small weights, that doesn't matter. The key is, is it a workout for you? If you're not sweating, if you're not feeling that burn, nothing's developing. But when you are having to press and you're having to push, my good God Almighty, do you understand that a new anointing comes forth out of your spirit when you learn how to press in Jesus' name? When you learn how to press on, something gets birthed in your spirit. Ideas come, creativity comes. Some of you are shortchanging yourself because every single time a detour hits, you derail. Instead of pressing and getting back on track and doing what God's called you to do, you throw your hands up, you quit, not understanding that the breakthrough, the miracle, the birthing, the new anointing comes. Come on, somebody, in the press. When you get detoured, you've got to press. You may have to go a little bit longer, but you are becoming something in the press. My good God. Look at this, brethren. I don't count myself to have apprehended, but one thing I do, forget those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. Somebody needs to hear this today. There are things that are ahead of you right now that the devil's saying the detour needs to be a derailment. I'm here to tell you, don't be derailed just because you have a detour. Press on. Look at what he says here. I forget those things which are behind. I'm reaching forward to those things which are ahead. Do you understand? There are forward and ahead. Ahead and forward. Forward and ahead. Not behind. Keep going forward. Some of you are too easily distracted. One little thing doesn't go your way, the whole thing falls apart. You've got to develop the intestinal fortitude to not be distracted. You've got to develop the strength to stay focused. Even in the midst of detours, even in the midst of hardships, can God trust you to stay the course? Look what he says in verse 14. I press toward the mark or the goal for the prize of the upward call. Look at this here. Look at these words. Press forward ahead. My good God Almighty. Upward. Look at that. That's all forward trajectories. Press towards upward, the prize, forward, reaching. All those things are ahead of you, not behind you. Don't allow the detour to derail you in this season. Now let me show you what happens to you in those times. Go with me, if you would, to 2 Corinthians chapter number 4. My good God, I feel the anointing of the Holy Ghost right now. Somebody's going to get a breakthrough because listen, I'm realizing something. The reason why a lot of people don't get healing, the reason why people don't get deliverance, the reason why people don't get their prayers answered, the reason why people plateau in their lives. The reason why people become spectators of the blessing and not participators of the blessing is because it's listen to me. It's not seeking God for what you get. You seek God for what you become. What are you becoming in the process? Detours are all about God. It's funny. God says, I'm not going to take you the short way. He was I'm going to take you the long way and give it to you a little of time because it's not what you get, it's what you become. Watch this. And what you become determines what you will get in your walk. And that's the reason why coaching is so important. Discipleship is so important. Because somebody type that in the chat. Discipleship is important. It is so important in your life that you understand that. It's what you become. And if you don't have the right people in your life, if you don't have somebody pouring into you when you hit these detours, when you hit these certain things, you can derail them. Watch this in the name of God, but it not be God. You will say, it isn't God's will. I need to get out of this. I need to leave it alone. Not understanding, you need to press. And that's where discipleship comes in. It helps you to discern and to understand and to appropriate detours that they work for you. So then what you become is who God called you to be. And when you become the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, as a result of that, you get your inheritance in Jesus' name. This is good preaching, ladies and gentlemen. Now look at this here. Second Corinthians chapter 4. I want you to see this. Verse number seven. This is so powerful. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us. Can you type that in the chat? There is a treasure in me. You are facing hardships and difficulties and detours because the purpose of the detour, watch this, is to extract or to place a demand upon the treasure that's within you. You'll never know what's in you until you are faced with resistance of what's in front of you. You have to press through what's in front of you to unlock what's within you. My good God Almighty, stop quitting every time things get hard. It's like when you start working out, it starts burning, you drop the weight. No, that's when you're getting the most out of it. No pain, no gain. It's what you become. And when you become the image and likeness of Jesus, see some of us, as soon as something happens, as soon as something happens, we go right back to our old ways. We go right back to our old self. We go right back to our old habits. We go right back to our old things. Stay the course. Something is being birthed in and out of your life. Why? There is a treasure within you. Let me show you what I mean. And how the treasure brings something out of you. Look at this. We have this treasure, verse 7, in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us. My good Lord Almighty. I got to make sure y'all get this right now. You got to understand this passage here will supernaturally transform your life. You will never be the same person if you catch this revelation of what I'm talking about right now. This will change everything within you. I want you to catch this right now. I want you to see this, and I want you to write it down, and I want you to meditate upon it because when you understand there's a treasure within you, look at verse number eight is what happens as a result. We are hard pressed. On every side, yet not crushed. We are perplexed, but not in despair. That means our minds are perplexed, but man, I don't fall the way to despair. I'm pressed, but it's not enough where it's gonna crush me. I'm persecuted, but it's not because I'm forsaken. Because sometimes we can interpret our persecution as if, well, why where's God at? We're struck down, but we're not destroyed. It means I might have a setback, I might have a detour. All of these hard pressed can be a detour, perplexed be a detour. Persecuted could be a detour. Struck down could be a detour. He's letting us know all of this is because of what's within us. Ladies and gentlemen, if we can begin to understand, when we hit certain storms, God wants us to tap into the treasure that's within us. Look at verse 10. Always caring about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. So verse 12 says, So death is working in us, but life in you. Now look at this. I want you to jump down to verse 16. I'm almost done. I got to get out of here. I didn't realize what time it was. Therefore, we do not lose heart, because you're not in this because there's something wrong with you. You're in it because something's right. But that's why I want you to go back and listen to what I shared yesterday. God said, the storms you are facing, the things you are facing, it is a validating, watch this, an activating and a validating storm. What does it mean? There are new things within you that God wants you to activate. And when the storm comes and you activate, it's going to validate the new level and the new platform that God has on you. Therefore, we don't lose heart. Why? Because we understand this. Even though our outward man is being hit and we're going through these things, our outward man is perishing. The inward man is being renewed day by day. Look at verse 17. For our light affliction, can somebody say a light affliction? Can you type that in there? This is just a light affliction. It's just a light test. It's for just a moment and it's working for us. My good God. A far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. And this is my favorite part here. And if you don't get nothing else, please catch this right now. Don't allow your detour to derail your destiny. While we look not at the things which are seen. For the things which are seen are temporary. The things that you are facing right now, let me prophesy and encourage you, it's only a test. It's only temporary. But we look at the things which are not seen, for they are eternal. My God, Lord, I pray for every person listening and watching right now that they would begin to change their perspective, that they would begin to see what you see. Lord, they would begin to see how it's working for them. That, Lord, they would not look at the outward things and determine and discern them with the natural eye. But Lord, they would have the mind of Christ and they would see it the way that you see it. And Lord, I thank you today that when they see it your way, it will work in their favor. And Lord, I thank you for what they are becoming, for who they are becoming will inherit what you have for their lives. My good God Almighty. And I thank you that the rest of this year will be the best of this year. And I thank you that no matter what they are facing, it's working for their good, and they are becoming vessels of honor, fit for the master's use, prepared unto every good work. Let them not lose heart, but Lord, let them stand strong and run in the anointing like never before. For you said, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like an eagle, they will run and not be weary, and they will walk and not faint. And Father, we thank you, giving you all the praise, the honor, and all of the glory. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen, amen, amen. Hallelujah. I hope that you have been blessed by this today. You know, I want you to understand that God is with you. I want you to understand, if you need to go back and listen to this again, do it. Begin to get into some coaching, have some discipleship in your life, and understand, just because you have a detour, if you can think the right way about it, don't let it derail you. You are becoming something in your storm. Draw from the word. Keep with what God calls you to do. Don't derail. The detour just might be taking you on a pass so God can form some things in your life. Enjoy the journey because God has a way of making it up to you. And so I hope that you've been blessed by today's broadcast. And guess what? Tomorrow, I'm going to be back here again each and every single time. Monday through Friday, 8 30 p.m. If you didn't get yesterday's, go back and listen to yesterday's and today's. They go together. It's going to help you. You're coming into a new season. There's a new anointing that's being birthed out. Don't you be discouraged. Don't you be downt. I know you might be facing some things. God is with you, and your best days are right upon you. And I'll see you tomorrow, right here on the front of the house.
