Speaker 1:

Welcome everybody to a girl's opinion into sports as we break down another jam-packed week 10 of the NFL. What do you get when you have big upsets, a QB out for the season and a hot mess in Buffalo? Well, you get week 10 of the NFL. Buckle up everybody as we try to discuss everything that went right and wrong in week 10. Lacey's lineup starts right now. Welcome to Lacey's lineup. Thank you all that have continued to listen to my week to week breakdowns on my podcast episodes, but if it's your first time, I'm excited to have you On Lacey's lineup. We like to break down the week to week in the NFL, bringing you the breaking news questionable calls by the ref and the coaches, barn burner finishes and what I think went right and wrong in the previous week. Sometimes I have guests come on to debate me and sometimes it's just your girl giving her opinions in the world of the NFL. Today it's just me and I like to start with my favorite part of the show. How about them cowboys?

Speaker 2:

Obviously the call stands. Here is a quick hitter to CD Lamb. The halls are dead up across the 40. They're gonna even do short big today to keep this Dallas offense at day. That's Ferguson in motion. Pressure on press guy gets rivet, lamb That'll do it. Goober rush takes a knee 49-17, the cowboys win it.

Speaker 1:

Some might call this game a bi-week. Watching some of the sports channels they say a bi-week because of the hot mess the Giants have going on up there in New York. But I look at it as a domination. Anyone remember when the Cowboys played the Cardinals in week three? Yeah, we tend to play bad against teams that aren't expected to do anything against us. We finally matured, we came together, we dominated. It was well-rounded, I feel like almost everybody got a touchdown on the team. We got Gallup involved, which we've been wondering if he was going to do anything more this season, but he actually made some really good catches and got him a touchdown.

Speaker 1:

Dak Prescott there is saying that he could be the best quarterback in the NFL right now. I know people are gonna laugh about that and even as a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan I laugh about it because I still think he has a lot to prove before we give him that title. But he in the past two weeks he's played really, really good football. He did have an interception in this game and it was early on. It's not just about the interceptions, I think it's how he threw it. There's no reason to throw that ball. I mean, that guy is completely covered. So him seeing the field is a little bit of a question mark for me, but I love the way that Dak is being mobile, he is running, he's creating plays, he's extending drives by rolling out of the pocket. I mean, I think the luck was on our side on Sunday because there was even that one throw. He was like on his back leg and just kind of hurled it into the air and CD lamb was able to come back and get it and so that was just kind of like okay, this is one of those games I will take it, because normally we're on the other side of those where against the Eagles, right when they strip the ball and it just bounced back into Jalen Hertz's hand. So the luck was finally on our side and I will take that all day. Hopefully the luck stays with us.

Speaker 1:

But Dak, 26 for 35, another 400 and 4 yard throwing game, four touchdowns and, like I said, his one interception that's a dominating performance. And the fact that he was able to sit out in the fourth quarter I talked about this in my early episodes. You are gifted when you're able to take your starters out because you're winning by so big. And this is, I think, the second. I know it's for sure the second might be the third time that we've been able to pull our starters out and rest them for the remainder of the game. But, cowboys, this is what's so frustrating, right? You see a dominating performance like this and even the Eagles game last week they talk about. Oh, we only show up for the teams that were expected to win, and when it's the big numbers, like the 49ers game where we just got demolished. But the Eagles game, we were winning on all phases of the ball and we just didn't win in the one phase, which is the most points at the end of the game. But we took that and we built and we have just been well rounded. We got another takeaway on defense, with bland getting you know another notch on his belt with his interception creating a big name for himself, and I think now teams have to respect bland. So now you have bland and Gilmore on both sides of the ball. It's just coming together on that defense.

Speaker 1:

Parsons we haven't talked about, but he's doing a lot. They are holding him non-stop and I know he's complaining about that, but it's apparent. I mean you can see the replays on how much he's being held, but just knowing that he's coming for you and creating that pressure. He chased down the Vito a lot yet, or on Sunday, and was able to force him to make bad decisions. So he's doing his job.

Speaker 1:

You have CDL now, with the past three games, getting over a hundred yards of receiving. I mean he had 11 receptions, 151 yards. He had one rushing touchdown and one catch in the end zone. So he's going crazy. His confidence is high. That duo with Dak and CD right now is working, and that is gonna be the key I talked about this before is you got to get CDL involved, and involved early. I can't stress that enough. I mean you've got to find ways to get him the ball. Maybe it's not the deep ball every time, but you're finding a way to get him in a slant pass. Just get him involved in the game early so he stays connected and people have to continue to respect him. But that duo is looking scary. What we need halfway through the season I mean now we're over half, going into week 11 next week.

Speaker 1:

The question mark remains, though the run game. What is happening to Pollard guys? Is it the coach doing play calls that don't benefit him? Is it him just not the guy that we knew from last year Is the injury caused him to be limited in what he used to do. But this is a big deal. If we don't have a run game come post season it's gonna be really hard to win those games. We can't ask Dak to go win it for us every single time. We have to be able to win in the air and on the ground, and right now we are really, really struggling.

Speaker 1:

Tony Pollard was pretty much non-existent. Dowdle did well. He obviously did better than Pollard and he found the end zone in that, but still there wasn't a lot of yards. I think he only had like 79 yards and Pollard was lower than that. I think he only had like 43. But they just haven't created those big runs and the things that change. It was all in the air. It was deep balls. Cooks obviously got involved real big. It was well rounded by our wide receivers.

Speaker 1:

But that's not gonna cut it. Yes, it's gonna help, but we have to have a run game. That's why I get so infuriated when we look back to why we weren't involved in the trades. When you had running backs that were wanting out. That could have came in and helped us immediately and it would have been a trade now, because Jerry Jones obviously has mentioned that he wants to win a Super Bowl and he wants to win it now and we're not making the moves to do that.

Speaker 1:

You have a Super Bowl caliber team, but we're lacking a run defense or a run actually both. We gotta be able to stop the run and we gotta be able to run the ball, and those are the two things that I still have question marks on. We haven't seen that all year, probably a little bit more on trying to contain the run. But even when we do that, we open up the slant pass, which is what happened to us against the 49ers. We stopped, contained Christian McCaffrey that allowed Debo and Kittle to just go off in the middle of the field because we didn't have that secondary protection, because we were trying to stop the run. So those two things have to clean up. They have to clean up, and now is the time that we have to start seeing that. So if Pollard isn't that guy, I don't think Dottel is that guy either. We don't have that physical running back like a Dalvin Cook or a Derek Henry or somebody like that that people have to respect, but that's the one thing that's gonna hold the Cowboys back, do you guys agree? I mean, it's obvious. We are so good in every other aspect and we are struggling in the run game. So if we're gonna make this run, we gotta figure it out, and if it is with just the personnel that we have, then we're gonna have to try to get creative and make plays that open up lanes for Pollard and a Dottel to run through. But averaging only one or two yards a carry on our running backs is just the scary part as a fan, because we don't have that aspect of the game in our hands. So we'll see how it goes.

Speaker 1:

This week they did announce that Layton Vandoress he's been out. They put him on IR hoping that he would return, but the neck injury is a season ending injury and he will not be back. I'm sad to see it. I knew it was coming as a fan. I just, by the way, that how he plays and he's always had neck issues. So I'm just wondering if this is just a season end or a career ending. I mean next not anything to play and he's had a lot of issues. So for this to be so severe and take them out for the season just makes me wonder if he is gonna ever return back to the football field. But on the positive side, mark Heasebell that came in and has been playing for him has been dominating. He's fresh legs, he is a part of almost every play. He's fast on the sides, he's running down, so he's holding his own. So, as sad as I am because I was a Vandoress fan he just is injury prone. But I don't think losing him is gonna be a factor like it is when we lost Trevon Diggs. So we'll see what that holds.

Speaker 1:

We play Carolina this week, another team that's struggling, but, like I said, cardinals I will say that to Unblue in the face this is a game that we wish we could get back, especially with how the records hold right now. To have that game back would put us even closer in the race. But we are doing our job. We just have to take it week by week. Carolina they struggle at times, but they're not to be overlooked by any means. You should never overlook any team. At the end of the day they're all professional players, whether their record reflects it or not. But they have Thielen, they have some weapons on their team and we are going there. So we are playing them in Carolina. It's definitely a winnable game, but Cowboys have to keep. Their biggest question mark has been their consistency. Can they, with stain, this high level of play and continue to grow to where they get, to where they wanna be in the Super Bowl? So we'll take it week by week.

Speaker 1:

Right now we have some winnable games into the season and to December is where our schedule gets really hard. So we need to make sure we're making all the adjustments now so that we're ready to do that final push and get past that first game of the post season. But then again, we gotta make it to the post season first. I feel like we have a really good shot of doing that, but we gotta show that we can and if we can get everybody playing the way that they played the last two weeks, I think we have a really good shot of going far in the post season. So we'll see. Love, my boys. I love when it's lopsided on Sundays where I can relax and not stress. We'll see what the weeks to come. But Carolina this week winnable game. Let's just keep dominating and focus on Sunday and then we will go into Thanksgiving week.

Speaker 1:

Now, moving on to one of two crazy games that I watched over the weekend is Ravens Browns. What do we think about this game? Browns won 33-31 at the end of the game. I'm just shocked. I'm shocked Not shocked because the Browns defense is a Super Bowl caliber defense. I mean, miles Garrett is in a league of his own. I challenge you guys, if you watch the Browns on Sunday, literally just watch Miles Garrett. See what he does. He controls the game, he takes over games, and for him to be a defensive player and to have that much of an effect on a game is impressive. This guy by far impresses me week in and week out and it's just so fun to watch him.

Speaker 1:

So breaking news right Announced this week that Deshaun Watson is out for this season. He's having shoulder surgery. He broke a bone in his shoulder and you could tell if you watch that game he was not 100%. He's been battling the shoulder injury. It shows his toughness right, like he would get down on the ground and it would take a while to get back up, but he still completed all his passes with a hurt shoulder. So that is impressive in itself. I mean he was 20 for 34, 213 yards, one touchdown, one interception. But what does this mean for the Browns. Yes, an amazing win over a team that we've been really hyping up as to go far, possibly even a Super Bowl run with the Ravens. And they came and they beat them at the last second. But now you're without your quarterback and moving forward it's going to be PJ Walker.

Speaker 1:

I kind of go back and forth on this to Sean Watson. It's just a bad deal. In the Browns they gave him guaranteed money, a huge contract to come from the Texans and I think they were hoping that they knew he had some injuries and they were hoping that he was going to recover and then be the DeSean Watson that they saw from the Texans and he hasn't. I mean, I think this is his second, third year. He had, you know, his suspension games and then I don't think he's played very many snaps, definitely not consistent. So they're going back and forth on him Now. Does that help PJ Walker know that DeSean is done for the year and he's their guy moving forward and it kind of gives him hey, am I playing this week, am I not? Does that kind of give him the confidence to go out there and help the Browns get to the postseason?

Speaker 1:

Possibly, because I think the defense is the reason they win most of their games. Desean Watson has not been the reason they've been winning their games. I think DeSean Watson is the best quarterback on the roster but he's so inconsistent and they can't get anything going. So now you're rolling and now you're putting all your eggs in the basket with this defense to help create short fields, create turnovers, get pressure, get them three and out right, keep the game low scoring and give PJ Walker a chance to win these close games. So it'll be interesting.

Speaker 1:

It's sad, I mean I I hate for Amari Cooper. What does that mean for him? I know he's DeSean Watson's favorite receiver. Will he get that connection back with PJ Walker? I think Amari Cooper can't adapt to anything. I think he will be okay, but it's still. It's just a blow. You come off this huge momentum win against a really good team and then you get this devastating news that you've lost your quarterback for the season. So this will be interesting to see how the Browns bounce from this. If. Can they contain offenses with just their defense. Can the defense lead them all the way into the post season? Definitely capable, especially with Miles Garrett. But we're just going to have to wait and see now and see how this team responds after losing their quarterback and see if defense will take them on their back and get them where they need to be.

Speaker 1:

Now on the flip side of that you have the Ravens, who we've been talking up. They are on this pedestal. I've been saying you know, lamar can always win on his feet, but now he's learned how to throw. Anyone that watched the Browns game this past weekend, lamar was throwing like the Lamar back in his rookie year. He was under throwing which caused the interceptions. In the beginning he was not giving accurate throws. Zay flowers, you know, only had five receptions for 73 yards. Mark Andrews only had two receptions, which is Lamar's favorite guy. But they couldn't get anything going, which is credit again to the Browns defense.

Speaker 1:

But Lamar Jackson just did not seem comfortable all day. He couldn't get a good run game going. But I will say, if it wasn't for that drop catch in the end zone, I think we would be talking about a different outcome for this game. So I can't put that on Lamar Jackson, but his consistency of throwing on Sunday was just not good. He was all over the place. He was 13 for 23, 223 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. So you could tell that he was struggling with his throwing and tried to run because of that, and he was getting contained in those moments. So when you frustrate a Lamar Jackson, it really does take him out of the game.

Speaker 1:

Edwards couldn't really get anything going on the ground. He was only um, what was it? He was only 11 carries for 24 yards, which is just not the Gus Edwards that we're used to seeing. Lamar was their leading but only had eight carries for 41 yards. So it was just a hot mess over there. They still kept it close. They should have won, like I said, if that ball wouldn't have been dropped in the end zone. But now it kind of brings them back down AFC side of things. You thought, hey, we're kind of starting to see separation with the elite teams and then the rest of the AFC, and now, um, we'll get to the next game, but the bingles losing too. It kind of puts everybody back in that mix and now you don't really know a front runner in the AFC. But Raven's got to figure it out.

Speaker 1:

This was a shocking loss to me. I thought Ravens were going to go in and dominate. Uh, they just they couldn't get it done. They could not get it done. And this is the inconsistency. And that's football, right. I mean. Consistency is going to get you to where you want to be, get you playing at the end of the season by consistently staying to your game plan, not playing other people's game plans, trying to just rely on what works for your team. The Ravens did not show that this week. They looked like a hot mess express. They were all over the place. It was hard to watch. It looked like you know what do they say? Like a train wreck where it just was so bad. But you couldn't stop watching the game and it was just I don't know. It makes me question are they still the team that I thought they were for the past two weeks?

Speaker 1:

And Odell Beckham guys like, what a joke. Him coming back into the league. One catch for not very many yards at all 40 yards, I mean he did have one touchdown, but he's just not existing. He's not the Odell from New York Giants where we're used to his one hand. You know, even when he went to the Rams and helped them, he just isn't that type of player. I think the injury and his age has really caught up to him. I think there was way too much hype on where he would go. They thought this connection with him and Lamar was going to be something of greatness, and it just doesn't seem to be playing with that. He still battles injuries almost every day. He's just not the explosive wide receiver that we're used to seeing with him and I just don't think he is a factor for teams when they play him. So been a huge let down there having Odell Beckham on the team. Zay flowers, obviously, is running circles around him, but it doesn't matter. If Lamar can't stay consistent with his throwing. It's not going to matter what rider he is you have on your team. So we'll see if Lamar just had a bad day. It's not a bad sign and he can get back to being more accurate with his throwing and find out if the Ravens can still go far in the postseason.

Speaker 1:

Now another game that was a barn burner shocker is the Bengals and the Texans. Like what is going on in week 10? I can't take credit away because CJ G Stroud is like On an island by himself. This guy has come out of the woodwork, proving that he should have been the number one draft pick by far. Cuz Bryce young really is not doing anything with the Panthers right now. But this guy is putting up insane, insane Numbers. But before I get to him, let's start with the bingles. Bingles were without Higgins, right, so that's a big miss for them not having Higgins in the game.

Speaker 1:

Burrow was 27 for 40, two touchdowns and two Interceptions. Big interceptions to mix in really didn't do much. 11 carries, 46 yards, one touchdown. Chase came alive, but not until almost it was too little, too late. He got a lot of his stats at the end of the game. He had five receptions for 124 yards in one touchdown.

Speaker 1:

They were kind of a hot mess too, guys. It just seemed like nothing was clicking, and if it wouldn't have been for CJ Stroud throwing that last interception To give them the chance to go down and score again, then this wouldn't have even been a barn burner at the end. But bingles are those teams that just don't go away. They capitalize on turnovers and that's what they were doing. Burrow, he, he didn't. I wouldn't say he did bad, it just it wasn't a good Showing for the bingles.

Speaker 1:

It was a mess at times. They were always playing from behind. There was a little bit of panic, sense of urgency. It just wasn't the calm Collected bingles that were used to seeing that just kind of win the game at the end and you don't even know how they did it. But there was panic, there was a lot of scrambling, a lot of missed throws, a lot, you know, there was turnovers. That happened, bro, you know creating two Interceptions that the Texans were able to capitalize on, and it just wasn't good.

Speaker 1:

Do I put a question mark on them? I guess you have to. To be fair, since I question mark the Ravens, I still think the bingles are just fine and they will find themselves in the postseason because they win those Big games when it matters. But this was a big game. This was a game that mattered. I mean, you had a Texans who were out of it and now all of a sudden are clawing their way back in and you could have knocked them back down and showed that they don't belong in the top of the AFC and all you did was open the door more for them and give them more confidence that they can beat CJ Strauss idol and watching how burrow went to the NFL and what he was wanting to be. So now you just let them know hey, I can beat my idol and I can be right up there with all of them. So not only did they win, they gained momentum, they gained a lot of confidence and now they are becoming one of the scary teams in the NFL, especially on the AFC side.

Speaker 1:

But who is CJ Strauss, guys? Who is he? This kid is Just unbelievable. He is Crazy fun to watch his just everything about this guy, his story you know there's been things like with his dad and how he's playing for him and he hopes that one day he'll get to watch him. How he's created this continuity With the Texans and making them all believe because they have this leader who's like a warrior and you know they want to play for him and he's just creating this dynamic Atmosphere for the Texans and I know Texans have been waiting for this for a long time, so I'm assuming they have to be extremely happy right now with CJ Stroud. If I was to check, probably you know how many of CJ Stroud jerseys were sold in the past two weeks. I bet it went up by a lot.

Speaker 1:

But then you give this huge workload to single Terry. What a game this guy had. I mean, they gave him a lot. He did have 30 carries. 30 carries. Not only did Stroud throw for 356 Yards. But then you were on the ground for a hundred and fifty yards with single Terry and he got his touchdown. And then who picked up Noah Brown to be on their fantasy league next week? I know I did. This guy went off like I didn't even know this guy existed and All of a sudden he came out and he's being showcased. He had seven receptions for a hundred and seventy two yards. This guy was on fire.

Speaker 1:

So not only do you have big names like Dalton Schultz, and then you have CJ Stroud coming in huge. You got single Terry, who you know has proven that he was good but kind of retracted a little bit, and now he's gaining confidence and he's getting it done on the ground. And then you're bringing out new people like the Noah Brown and they're dominating Guys. You cannot count the Texans out. Do I think they're gonna win a Super Bowl this year? No, probably not.

Speaker 1:

But did we even think at the beginning of this season that they were even that close to being able to make it to the postseason? We were excited about CJ Stroud. We had a good feeling that he was gonna do great, good things. Did we think he was gonna be this great, this fast? Probably not, but it's not a huge shock that he is performing, based on of what we've seen him in his college days and everything like that. But we didn't think there was very any names on the Texans roster that could even help him, surround him, and now they're just coming out of the woodwork. They are proving that they can be there in the postseason and I think they can even create a really big upset and send a powerful AFC team home early in the postseason.

Speaker 1:

This team has gained Really big momentum and they are. They have nothing to lose. They're giving it at their all and it's fun. As a football fan, it's fun to watch right now. I'm happy they're on the AFC side, that's for sure. But I think they're gonna be a team that's on the rise and if, according to their draft picks and if they make any trades for next season, they're gonna be among the top. If they can keep CJ Stroud playing the way he was, two big barn burner shockers, the Ravens going down and the Bengals going down and Crazy week 10. That's all I gotta say. Crazy week 10,. But congrats to the Texans. They deserve it.

Speaker 1:

They're playing at a very high level and we will see if the right I mean I don't think CJ Stroud stats can really go much higher. I think he'll probably try to prove us wrong, but let's see if he can keep creating these big numbers and get his team to the finish line Week in and week out. So, texans, you are on my watch list. Now I'm not gonna talk too long about the 49ers Jags game. I just wanted to make sure I made a point. I really thought this was gonna be a closer game than what it was. I thought the Jags had more ammunition coming off of you know just some big wins and you had Trevor Lawrence playing better, calvin Ridley joining that team, but they were non-existent. 49ers are back. Debo is back, christian McCaffrey is still rolling. Purdy still looked a little flustered still a question mark for me but I think he got some of his safety blankets back, which helped him feel more comfortable and create better Decisions right, better playmaking decisions. So 49ers show that it was just a bad sign. They use the bi-week to get healthy, change some things up and they had an impressive win over the Jaguars and it was a much needed win for them. They hadn't won in over a month. So I know 49er fans are doing a little sigh of relief. I had Matt Paulson here last week, who's a big 49ers fan. He wasn't panicked. He probably knew this was coming and you just get that when you are led by a mastermind of Shanahan, you know that he will find ways to get his team back on track. Just wanted to make sure. I pointed that out because I knew I was on the watch to see how the 49ers were gonna respond and if it was just gonna continue to go downhill. But they Re-steered themselves. They're back in the driver's seat and now we have some big games. I know they have the Buccaneers this week, but then they played the Eagles, which I think is gonna be a huge matchup. I really do hope they do beat the Eagles, but we'll see how they do against. You know more credible teams, but right now they are back. They found a way to win and I think they're gonna build off of that Now.

Speaker 1:

The last game I have to cover and talk about is the hot mess that happened on Monday night football with the Bills and the Broncos in in Buffalo. What is going on with Josh Allen? I've talked about this in previous episodes about how Josh Allen is. He tries to overdo too much. He thinks he has to be the superhero all the time. He starts making bad decisions, he starts being sporadic Things. Just it's either really good for him or really bad for him, and it has ugh been really bad for him. Like I don't know if this is the start of the fall for Josh Allen. It's just hard to watch him right now.

Speaker 1:

And I was a Josh Allen fan. I thought he was a Super Bowl type quarterback. I know the Bills thought that when they brought him in and then they surrounded him with weapons. But he has just proven not only does he choke in the postseason and have his worst games when it matters most, but he has struggled early on in this season, showing signs of this even earlier, where some think will they even make the postseason? The Broncos, who I know, have gotten some wins in the past couple of weeks and Russell Wilson is playing more like I mean we've seen glimpses of the Russell Wilson from his Seattle days but still, 15 for 26 with Josh Allen, 177 yards, one touchdown which was a rushing touchdown at the end of the game and two interceptions bad interceptions, bad. I mean.

Speaker 1:

The decision making from Allen in those moments was just what are you thinking? I just don't understand it. I think it was a panic and you have a Diggs who is extremely frustrated. This week His brother, trevon Diggs, who's with the Dallas Cowboys, tweeted. You know, gotta get 14 up out of there and remember Josh Allen wasn't big until 14 got there, or till Bro got there, if you wanna use the exact words. But you gotta realize that's somebody that is extremely frustrated If he's allowing his brother to tweet for him. They are a close knit family. Those brothers talk a lot, so you know that he is talking to Trevon right after that game, frustrated, he wants to be on a Super Bowl bound team and he's not even being involved. It's one thing to lose, but when you're three receptions for 34 yards, you're not even being looked at. He's not even looking at Diggs. Diggs is frustrated. I mean there was fights on the sideline.

Speaker 1:

They fire their offensive coordinator, which I think he was the escape goat for the most part. If it was up to me, I would have fired my special teams coach. This is two times. The special teams have cost them the game and, for anyone that didn't watch, the end of this game was insane. They got the ball. They're driving down. All they need to do is stop the Broncos from getting into field goal range. They had them pinned back deep. They go for it on third down and they miss them. Well, it was a pass interference, so they gave them the ball or a legal contact, something like that. So not only do they get a fresh set of downs, but now they're easily in field goal range. But the time's running out, they have no timeouts and they run out. They clock the ball and run. So it's like pure chaos.

Speaker 1:

To get Lutz out on the field to try to do this. They kick the ball, he misses, the crowd goes wild, everyone's excited. They know it was ugly, but they pulled out the win and they improve and everyone can sigh fresh of breath, air and just kind of move on with the win. As ugly as it was, the refs called Buffalo Bills, with 12 men on the field. What, what are you guys doing? The odds of blocking a field goal anyways is slim to none. It is a very low percentage that you will ever block a field goal, especially at the end of the game where you just have to get there. Why are we making all these substitutions? They have 12 men on the field. So not only does he get to re-kick his mist where they could have walked out with the win, they move them five yards closer and he kicks and they win 24-22.

Speaker 1:

Unbelievable, I could not believe my eyes. I mean it was a mess of a game. The fights breaking out, I mean the chemistry with the Buffalo Bills is just a complete disaster. You look at the New York Giants who are struggling, like extremely struggling, but they aren't having like the fights. They're frustrated, but it's not as visible. You have a team that still can make it to the postseason, still has all their quarterback in their top guns, and you do something like this. Now I think if they would have held them and they would have Won this game, their offensive coordinator would still have a job.

Speaker 1:

Like I said, I still think he was a scapegoat, but it should have been the special teams. Special teams should have taken that that's twice. They've cost them. They cost them on that one with a ridiculous Call 12 men on the field, 12 men on the field like count guys. This is the difference between you winning and losing this game. I wouldn't have even substituted, I would have had him kick. You know, you still have that chance of him making it, but you miss it. You dodge a bullet and you give them a second try.

Speaker 1:

It is just unbelievable what's happening in Buffalo right now. With so much talent on this team, they are just Completely falling apart up there. Can they get it back together? I don't know. I think people are losing faith in Josh Allen. I think they're loot. They lost their defensive coordinator, now they lost their offensive coordinator. Can they even gel back together to try to create a run? I mean, stuff on digs is screaming to be let go of the Buffalo bills. I know he wants to play with his brother. I would take him in Dallas, but the odds of that happening anytime soon, but I don't think you see stuff on digs and Buffalo next year unless they win a Super Bowl, which right now is A really far stretch. I don't see them. I see them making the postseason, but I see them doing the same exact thing and falling short, and I don't even think they make it to the AFC championship. Hot mess with the bills.

Speaker 1:

This game was insane. It was ugly. It was a crazy finish. The penalties killed them. The turnovers were awful the non-existent players that are used to getting majority of the balls. It was just Ugly. It was ugly, but as a bills fan I feel for you.

Speaker 1:

This is hard to watch, especially when you have what it takes to get there. Josh Allen, is he your leader? That's my big question mark. Can Josh Allen Play a more calming game and not try to force as much and trust in his guys and Go down his checklist and find his wide receivers and get them involved early? You got to involve a Stefan digs early in the game so he stays connected, because when it gets to third and fourth quarter and he has one catch in that moment he's not in this game. You've taken them out of it and you just can't do that. So Bills are a question mark again. Like I said, the AFC was proving to have some separation. Now it's just a whole big mess or mix of all the teams again. We'll see if they can climb back out of it and it'll be an interesting finish to see where the AFC is come postseason. Hot mess bills. Figure it out in Buffalo. You guys got to start trending in the right direction before it's too late.

Speaker 1:

A Few moments later it's time for your best of week 10. It's the Texans. For me, guys, the Texans are coming out of the woodwork. I talked about it on my episode so I don't need to rehash anything. But CJ Stroud is on a league of his own. He beat a dominant bingles team. It wasn't the prettiest. He did make some turnovers. Single Terry, you've got to know a brown. You have all the weapons and you're showing that you could be in the postseason. Just based on the last couple weeks, but especially this game. This was a pivotal game. So they got to go with my best of the week and my worst of week 10. I get this dude. Oh wait till you see the. And that has to go to the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen. It was terrible to watch. It was ugly performance. There was fighting on the sideline, there was a lot of turnovers, people were non-existent. It was just hot mess express. So they definitely get my worst of the week.

Speaker 1:

Now it's time for Lacey's top five Super Bowl contenders after the first ten weeks will be potential Super Bowl champions at the end in February. Number five Gotta give it to them. Cowboys, I put them back in my list because they've dominated. Things are working. Dak Prescott is probably playing the best I've ever seen him play. They do stay in my top five because they have. When they are like that, we could see them make a Super Bowl run. The consistency is gonna be key but for now, after the first ten weeks, I do have them rounding out my bottom at number five. Number four might surprise some people, but I am gonna give it to the Browns. I know we just lost to Sean Watson for the season, but you have still a lot of people there. You came off of a big win and you have a Super Bowl Defense miles. Garrett can singly-handedly win games by himself. So because they won this week in a Impressive win, even though they lost their quarterback, I am, based off of this week, giving them my number four spot.

Speaker 1:

Number three 49ers can't count them out. They have all the weapons. They're getting healthy again. They destroyed the Jacksonville Jaguars. They seem to have figured it out in the and on their by week and they are ready to make their run. So they get my number three.

Speaker 1:

Number two Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. You can't count them out. You can never count out Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. They're defending Super Bowl champions. They know what it takes to get there. They got there last year with less personnel on their team. Mahomes finds a way to win and I think we're gonna see him make a run, if not Repeat, back to the Super Bowl. So he takes my number two spot and number one. I hate to say it, but it has to stay the Eagles. They still have the best record in the NFL right now. It's not pretty. I definitely think they're beatable. I think their time's coming. They're about to go on a hard stretch of opponents in the next month, so we're gonna see if this will make them fall or if they will continue to find a way to win. But as it stands right now, I got to give my number one spot to the Eagles.

Speaker 2:

Hey, that's pretty good I.

Speaker 1:

Can't end the show without my Sky guy giving us his predictions for week 11. Welcome to the show, skyler.

Speaker 2:

What is up? Everyone is your boy man Skyler, back on Lacey's lineup to give you week 11 predictions. All right, guys, just to kick off week 11. Tomorrow, thursday night football Bengals versus Ravens I'm gonna go with the Bengals by 8. And now for our Sunday matchups.

Speaker 2:

First, cardinals Texans I'm gonna go to Texans by 4. Chargers commanders I'm gonna go to Chargers by 3 for our 3 o'clock games. Bucking Ears versus 49ers I'm gonna go at the 49ers by 10. Then the Cowboys Going up against Bryce young, the number one pick in the draft. He is not looking good, so I'm going with Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys by 17. And now for Sunday night football Vikings Broncos I'm gonna go with the Vikings by 6. Oh my gosh, monday night football is one of the best games in NFL history, the rematch of Super Bowl 57 last year. Can the Chiefs beat the Eagles just like they did in the Super Bowl? We'll see on Monday night next week, but I'm gonna have to go to Chiefs by 2. And that is week 11 predictions. I'll see y'all next week, unless he's lined up for week 12 predictions, skyler out, and that's all we have for today's episode.

Speaker 1:

I appreciate you guys tuning in Cheers to another fun week of football and I can't wait to break it all down with you next week. Until then, your girl is signing off you.
