Why Your Real Estate Hustle Isn’t Paying Off Yet (And What to Do About It)
You’re putting in the work. You’re showing up, staying consistent, and doing all the things you’ve been told will grow your business—but your real estate hustle still isn’t producing the results you expected. If you’re starting to wonder what’s wrong or why it’s not working fast enough, this episode is for you.
I’m breaking down what’s actually going on behind the scenes when your progress feels slow or invisible—and how to shift from frustration to focus. Building a thriving real estate business doesn’t happen overnight. It takes intention, clarity, and most importantly—consistency. What most real estate entrepreneurs don’t realize is that the results you’re working so hard for aren’t delayed because you’re doing something wrong. They’re delayed because you haven’t built the momentum yet.
Inside this episode, I cover:
- Why your real estate hustle isn’t paying off as quickly as you’d hoped
- The mindset every entrepreneur needs to push through plateaus
- How real estate entrepreneurship requires more than just action—it requires aligned action
- Why your process goals matter more than your short-term outcomes
- How to implement wealth building strategies while staying patient with the journey
- Why multiple streams of income won’t grow if your foundation isn’t solid
- Business coaching tips to help you stay committed through the messy middle
- How an entrepreneurial mindset sets you apart when growth feels slow
It’s easy to get caught in comparison, to look around and wonder why it seems like everyone else is moving faster. But what you don’t see is how many people give up right before things start to shift. The truth is, most successful real estate agents and entrepreneurs experience a lag between the hustle and the results. That lag time isn’t failure—it’s preparation.
So instead of giving up, this is your moment to dig in deeper, realign your focus, and recommit to the habits that will pay off down the road. Your consistency, your effort, and your belief are planting the seeds for a future that’s bigger than you can imagine right now.
Ask yourself: Are you hustling in the right direction—or are you just staying busy hoping something sticks?
Hit play now to learn how to stay the course, shift your strategy, and finally make your real estate hustle pay off.

You actually don't need proof of success to keep going. You just need courage. Courage to take action. And when you have courage, you actually also have a belief in you, because belief and courage is a muscle. And every day you show up, you're just strengthening it. Welcome to the Raquel Show. This show is for entrepreneurs who want to play bigger in business and in life. And I just wanna say thank you for tuning in today, and thank you for being a part of our play bigger community. Every time I get a DM or a share or a review from one of you, it reminds me exactly why we do this. I love knowing this show is actually making a difference in your business or in your life, or even in your mindset. So speaking of difference, I wanna talk about something that I've seen come up a lot lately. Every week I have the honor and the privilege of coaching so many different agents across North America, from top producers to top producing teams, to growing agents and everything in between. And while many of them are crushing it this year, I also had conversations at events Or virtual trainings that I have been asked to speak at where people are struggling, they're doing everything right, but the results aren't showing up. So if you are in that season where you are showing up and you're putting in the work, but you're wondering why, Raquel, is this not working? I want you to know that I see you and I've been there. So whether you're trying to break into the luxury market or even stay consistent with your legion or build out your team, it can feel like you're doing all the things and still no momentum. It's frustrating, right? My friends. Here's what I want to remind you of today. Plateaus are a part of the process. I remember in the early days of building our coaching business, I was showing up online. I was speaking on stages. I was doing sales calls, and still nothing was sticking. But that quiet season. It had taught me that growth is often silent before it's visible. And real estate is just like the gym. You don't close the deal the first time you DM a potential client. You don't build a referral based business from just one open house, but that doesn't mean progress isn't happening. And if you're listening to this and you're thinking, gosh, Raquel, I'm doing everything and still not seeing the results. This is your sign not to quit, but to push further. So when agents come to me saying, Raquel, I need to close five deals this month, I flip the conversation because here's what matters more than the results, the process that gets you there. So instead of chasing outcomes,'cause that is too hard to control. I want you to think of like lagging indicators or these actions such as, what can I commit to daily no matter what? For my real estate agents, that might mean posting market insights or stories three times a week, or hosting one value packed virtual workshop for your buyers or sellers, or hosting a client event or asking your past clients or friends for three referrals a week. These are called process goals. When you start stacking those wins, you stop typing your value to just closings, because that just changes everything. So I wanna ask you, what are three things you can commit to this week that will build towards your big vision? And let's talk about the flops because yes, your IG. Post just bomb and nobody watched it, or you didn't get enough views on your reels, or the client ghosted you, or the deal canceled and fell through. Guess what? I've been there and I'm also seeing some of my clients go through some of the cancellations that they have not been used to. But here's the mindset shift. Failure isn't personal. It's just data. It's just direction. It's actually just feedback. So start asking, what is this showing me? Where do I need to pivot and what's working that I can double down on? I think this kind of reflection builds resilience and in this industry, especially in today's market. Guess what? Resilience is what keeps you in the game long enough to win. So I want you to write down these things I actually do this in my personal journal, is I'll write down three wins. Yes even the small ones, and I'll write down three things I'm grateful for and three things that I'm excited about tomorrow. It's super powerful, but when you look back, you'll start seeing your progress even when it's not tied to closings or contracts, because let's be real, some days motivation doesn't come naturally. That's why you need habits that actually generate momentum and not just waiting for it.
For me, I am up at 5:00 AM I go to the gym and that's where I just start my day and get my mind right. It's not about the fitness, it's about starting the day with intention and discipline. Because how you start your morning sets the tone for actually how you're gonna lead your business. So when I am on the StairMaster or I'm at my F 45 class, or I'm lifting weights and I'm pushing through those reps. That's when I reconnect with my vision. I think about the lives that I wanna impact through our coaching, the lives that I wanna impact with our team, the kind of results I want my clients to be hitting, and the next level of business or partnership that I'm building. And while I'm pushing through that last set, I remind myself of how far I've actually come. The secret is stay connected to where you're going and stay grounded in where you've been. So whether it's a morning run or a cold plunge or a five minute journal, I want you to build some type of ritual that brings you back to your why. That's the energy that fuels consistency and consistency. Guess what? Builds momentum. Alright, friends, if no one has ever told you. Or if people haven't told you lately, I want you to know that you are doing better than you think. So let's recap. If you are doing things and not seeing the results, just remind yourself, plateaus are part of the process. Focus on process goals over outcomes. Failure is just feedback and vision and gratitude is what actually keep you going, even in dark days and challenges. And if you take one thing from today, let it be this. You actually don't need proof of success to keep going. You just need courage. Courage to take action. And when you have courage, you actually also have a belief in you, because belief and courage is a muscle. And every day you show up, you're just strengthening it. And if this episode gave you a boost, I want you to share it with another agent who needs a little bit of encouragement today. And if you're ready to play even bigger this year, I want you to check out www dot Let's play bigger. Dot com because we are helping people get to their goals and get results. Until next time, keep showing up, keep believing and remember, no one benefits when you play small, so you might as well play bigger.
