How Top Performers Show Up No Matter What
If you’re trying to stay consistent but feel like you’re running on empty, this episode will shift your perspective. One of the most important lessons in real estate coaching is this: top performers don’t rely on motivation—they rely on systems, standards, and identity. Whether you're an agent, entrepreneur, or coach, the ability to show up consistently, especially when it’s hard, is what separates those who scale from those who stall.
Real estate coaching teaches you to build routines that anchor you during low-energy seasons. It’s not about doing more—it’s about becoming the kind of person who leads with purpose, regardless of the circumstances.
Inside this episode, I cover:
- How top performers show up when energy, motivation, or clarity is low
- The real reason most entrepreneurs fall off track (and how to reset)
- How real estate agents can build daily routines that drive revenue
- Why business isn't about moods—it’s about mission and systems
- How multiple streams of income start with consistent behavior, not just big ideas
- Why this entrepreneurship podcast is your go-to for identity-based strategy
- How real estate coaching helps you create long-term, sustainable success
We talk about five powerful ways to stay grounded and productive, even when you feel disconnected from results. From developing identity-driven habits to executing simple revenue routines, I’ll walk you through the exact tools high-performing leaders use to stay in motion—without burnout.
If your results feel inconsistent, it’s probably not your skill—it’s your systems. Real estate coaching helps you shift from reactive to proactive, guiding you to lead with intention and take action no matter how you feel.
So ask yourself: Are you waiting for the right energy—or are you becoming the person who shows up no matter what?
Hit play now to learn how to lead like a top performer and install habits that fuel consistent, confident growth.

You'll always have slow days. You'll have seasons where you feel burnt out, where life feels heavy. Or where the results are just not there. But what separates those who win from those who wonder what happened is this. They do it anyways. Welcome back to the Raquel Show. This show is for entrepreneurs who want to play bigger in business and in life, and today's episode is going to feel like a call out and call up because I wanna talk to you about something that every single high performer hits. Eventually the feeling of. I don't feel like it today, but how do you get back on track on what you're supposed to be doing? And today we're gonna talk about all of that. I got to thinking about this as I am in a rebuild and expansion phase right now in our businesses, and there are plenty of days. I don't feel like doing the things, especially after all the personal things I've got going on. But here's the truth, most people avoid saying you're not always going to feel motivated. You're not always going to feel inspired. You're not always going to be in a good mood. And you know what? That's okay because your mood doesn't matter. Your mission does. And like Layla Hermo says, F your mood and follow the plan. Let's break it down and give you tools to actually do it every single day. Let's get clear. Your mood is temporary, your mission is permanent. Your goals are something that you inspire, and if your mission is unclear, I want you to just keep taking action because you'll find it through action and not thinking or planning. If you keep letting how you feel dictate what you do, then your results are going to be inconsistent. You'll show up when you are on and you'll disappear when you're not. That's not how you scale a business. That's how businesses actually stall. Think about athletes, do you think they feel a hundred percent every single day? The answer is no, but they show up because they are committed to the outcome, not the comfort. I know this firsthand as a sports mom raising two athletes and have seen their challenges in games, in practices, and in training. They are actually. Currently seeing two trainers outside of their dad coaching them. And here's what I know is they don't always feel good to go to practice, to go to training, to even go to games, but you can't trust your feelings to build your future. You have to trust your standards, your plan. And your identity. The goal isn't to feel good every day. The goal is to become the kind of person who shows up anyways. And when you do that, that's when you actually build momentum. That's when you shift from hoping. To doing, to closing and from reacting to leading. Now I wanna get tactical, and here are five shifts you can do to follow the plan, even when your mood is outta whack and sucks. Number one is I want you to lock in your revenue routine. Every high performer I coach has one. This is your 60 to 90 minute daily block of where you focus on revenue producing activities. Let me give you some examples. 30 minutes of follow ups or text messages to potential clients, 20 minutes of matching buyers or sellers in your CRM 10 minutes of maybe updating your content in your stories to cause conversations about real estate or maybe 20 minutes in your dms, starting conversations, intentional conversations with potential clients. Here's a pro tip because I know if you're listening to this, some of you guys might be going on a rabbit hole. Scrolling on social media is I want you to set a timer, do it even if it's ugly. Done. Is better than perfect. number two is use the do it ugly method. You don't need to wait for it to be ready for it to be polished or to be energized. Take messy action. Record that video. Even if your energy is at 60%, send the DM even if it's awkward. Oh my gosh. I'll tell you, I had to reach out to a lot of different agents locally and it felt awkward, but I want you to make the call even if your voice shakes. One of the calls, I didn't even know why I was calling except for I knew I wanted to collaborate and they had lots of questions, which made me think like maybe I should be prepared. But if I didn't do that, we wouldn't have follow up calls. Why? Because consistency compounds Even your 60% effort or days are building your a hundred percent life. Number three is build a non-negotiable checklist, not a to-do list, a non-negotiable checklist. Your mood can choose from a to-do list, but your identity sticks to a non-negotiable list. Here's an example of one of my coaching clients. He sends out one outbound message to somebody new. He posts his one piece of content. He does a visibility activity, whether it's a property tour, a story, a reel, a dm, or an email, and he always follows up with three leads. Matter of fact, his VA sends him on his calendar, three potential people that he needs to call that day, And he's making one appointment, whether it is a showing appointment, a builder appointment, a sphere appointment, or a vendor appointment, even on a low day. He gets those things done. And number four is, I'd use the five minute rule. Commit to doing the task for just five minutes. That's it. Don't feel like prospecting. Set a timer for five minutes and make that one phone call. Don't feel like posting. Open your notes and draft a caption for five minutes. Don't feel like moving. Guess what? Walk around your house for five minutes. Here's what that does is momentum beats resistance. You almost always do more than five minutes, and if not. At least you started. And number five is I want you to create an identity anchor. And this is an important one. Your identity drives your behavior more than motivation ever will. And I want you to think about your future identity. So when your mood is off, ask. What would a high performing CEO do right now? What would the version of me making a hundred thousand dollars a month in my business today? What would my mentor or coach say to me right now, make decisions from her? Not necessarily how you feel. Let me say this. You'll always have slow days. You'll have seasons where you feel burnt out, where life feels heavy. Or where the results are just not there. But what separates those who win from those who wonder what happened is this. They do it anyways. They send the email when no one's replying. They keep posting when the engagement is down. They keep calling even when no one answers. You are not behind, you're just compounding. And those quiet days, that's where your edge is built. That's where the winners separate themselves. So stop negotiating with your goals. Your business doesn't need your mood, it needs your commitment. So just a quick recap. Mood does not equal mission. Your emotions don't get to run your business. I want you to follow the plan, not the feeling. I want you to have a daily revenue routine with three to five needle moving task, and I want you to use tools like the five minute rule, identity anchoring, and non-negotiable list. Do it ugly or do it messy, even if you have to. Just do it. Now, here's your challenge, my friends, for the next seven days, I want you to show up anyway. Pick one or two tactics from today and lock them in whether you feel like it or not. Just make the commitment, Whether it's a good day or a heavy one, just go for it. Whether your numbers are up or flat, just take action. And I want you to tag me at it's Raquel Q on ig 'cause I wanna see it. I wanna celebrate you and I wanna remind you that consistency. Always wins. Thank you all for listening to another quick episode of the Raquel Show. I hope today's conversation gave you a little bit of tactical clarity and mental fire to keep showing up.
