This isn’t about hustle culture. It’s about honoring the season you're in while still holding space for the business you're building. Mompreneurs are powerful not because they have more time—but because they know how to make the most of the time they do have.
If you’ve ever felt behind, scattered, or like you're doing it all wrong—this episode is your reminder that your story matters. That you can raise babies and businesses. That you don’t need perfect circumstances to take the next step.

Motherhood and entrepreneurship don't compete with each other. They complete each other. I'm gonna say that again for all the moms out there. Motherhood and entrepreneurship don't compete with each other. They complete each other. They make you softer. Stronger and wiser all at once. Welcome back to the Raquel Show. This show is for entrepreneurs who want to play bigger in business and in life, and today's episode is a little different. Today, we celebrate. Today, we honor. Today we pause to recognize the heart behind so many dreams built. The moms, whether you're a mom to children, a mom to fur babies, a bonus mom, or even a woman who nurtures dreams, teams, and businesses. This episode is for you because what you build absolutely matters and how you love matters and who you become in the process. Of course matters. And today I wanna pour into all of you ladies, because I know how much you pour into everyone else. You see, motherhood and entrepreneurship are two of the hardest and yet most beautiful callings on this earth. When I look back at my journey of building businesses while raising my boys, I realized how many seasons demanded a different level of grit, a different level of love. And of course, flexibility. I wasn't building my dreams in perfect conditions. I was negotiating real estate deals while waiting in the school pickup line, closing transactions between basketball games or basketball practices, And sending emails while dinner was burning in the oven, and sometimes life really tested my ability to adapt. When I was pregnant with Bryce, my firstborn, I went into labor. Earlier than expected. And I still remember, I was in the hospital in labor and my client's offer
was due at 1:00 PM and guess what? Bryce was born at one forty eight. There I was talking to my assistant from my hospital bed coordinating paperwork because back then we still. Had fax machines, yes, I am dating myself, and the doctor walked in and said, Raquel, I'm sorry, but you need to push out this baby. The things we do, while we are building businesses and building families, because life happens, plans get thrown out the window, and sometimes you have to lead, build, and love and hustle. All at the same time. And you see when Brexton came along, it was another wild season. At that time I was managing over a hundred listings and foreclosures with corporate banks because we had REOs and I had asset managers calling at all hours, And in the middle of pushing during labor, someone had to answer my phone because one missed call could have cost me my entire account. Back then, if you didn't pick up immediately, someone else got your business. There was no grace period. There was no second chances, and somehow we made it work because when you're a mama preneur. You don't always get to control the timing. You don't always get the perfect window. You build the life that is happening all around you. And those experiences, I'll tell you, taught me something powerful. You don't have to wait for the perfect conditions to build something extraordinary. You just have to be willing to keep it moving even when it's messy. Even when it's hard and even when it's completely unplanned, my friends, they don't tell you how heavy the load and the mental load can actually beat the schedules, the emotional labor, the dreams you're carrying for yourself and for your family. And back then there was no coach that could tell me all these things. They don't tell you that there will be seasons where it will feel like you're giving a hundred percent and still feel like. It's not enough. They don't tell you the guilt that will creep in. Guilt for wanting more, guilt for not being everywhere all at once. but here's the truth. Guilt has no place in your greatness. You can love your family fiercely and build your dreams fully. You are allowed to be ambitious and yet nurturing at the same time. In fact, I believe the world needs more example of women doing exactly that. Today I wanna speak to every kind of mama out there. To the mama building her dream between nap times and bedtime routines, I see you. To the mama that's leading Zoom meetings during the day, packing lunches at night. Guess what? I see you.. And to the dog mom or cat mom or animal mom who pours love, patience, and care for their fur babies. I see you. And to the woman who nurtures dreams, friendships, and businesses, even if she's not called mom by title. I see you because guess what? Your work matters. Your love matters. Your dreams matter. And today we honor not just what you do, but who you are because you are not raising a family. You're raising a generation, you're raising a standard, you're raising a dream, And there was a moment early on when I almost gave up. It was when my boys were little. Business was booming on the outside, but inside I was completely drowning. Mom guilt was real. Burnout was knocking. And one night after getting everyone to bed and sitting alone at my computer, at my laptop, I remember closing it, putting my head in my hands and asking myself, is this worth it? Am I messing this all up? And guess what? The next morning, Bryce, who was just a little boy, climbed onto my lap and said, mom, I wanna chase my goals like you do, all while being a mom, keep being driven. He actually used to write me notes in my office on a board that I had on the wall, and it hit me. They're watching, they're learning, not just from what we say, but how we live. They're learning resilience. They're learning passion. They're learning how to dream out loud. That's why you, my friends cannot quit. That's why you have to keep going, even when it feels invisible, Because the seeds you're planting today, they will grow into something extraordinary. Some days you may feel behind. Some days you may feel tired. Some days you may wonder if it's all adding up, but I promise you, you're building legacy and small unseen moments, even the car ride conversation, even the late night work session or the all-nighters, even prayer Every hug, every sacrifice. It's all about legacy. It's all leadership. It's all shaping, not just the business, but also lives. Motherhood and entrepreneurship don't compete with each other. They complete each other. I'm gonna say that again for all the moms out there. Motherhood and entrepreneurship don't compete with each other. They complete each other. They make you softer. Stronger and wiser all at once. But before we wrap up today, I wanna leave you with a little love and a challenge. I want you to take a moment to connect with someone who can help you play bigger. It might be a mentor you admire. A friend you've been thinking about, a fellow entrepreneur you'd love to collaborate with, I want you to send them a voice memo. I want you to send them a DM or even pick up that phone because sometimes that one small act of connection can change everything. You don't have to do it alone. You were made for community, you were made for impact, you were made to play bigger. And before we wrap up, I wanna say thank you for listening today. Thank you for sharing the Raquel Show with your friends and tagging us in your stories. I wanna say thank you so much for being a part of this incredible community of leaders. And builders, and I would love to hear from you. Who's that one person you've been wanting to connect with? Tag me, DM me. Let's keep growing and building together. I'm sending you so much love for the week ahead. My friends. Keep leveling up. Keep leading with heart and don't forget to play bigger.
