The Million Dollar You Is Already Inside, Here’s How to Lead Like Them

Raquel Quinet Episode 253

In this episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on something I’ve been seeing over and over again with top producers and high-performing entrepreneurs: burnout, chaos, and scaling with outdated strategies that no longer work.

The truth? You don’t need more tactics—you need alignment. You need to shift your identity.

I’m sharing what it really takes to scale a profitable business in today’s market without managing a massive team or burning out. If you’ve been grinding at a level you’ve already outgrown, this is your sign to stop playing small and start leading like the million-dollar version of you.

💡 I talk about:

  • Why doing more won’t lead to success—and what to focus on instead
  • Signs you’re playing small (even if your numbers look good)
  • How to stop hiding behind strategy and start leading with clarity
  • The daily habits and mindset shifts top performers actually live by
  • How to create a business that supports your life—not the other way around
  • My simple identity upgrade exercise you can do today
  • Tactical shifts you can make immediately to scale smarter

If today’s episode lit a fire in you—don’t just sit on it. Take one bold move this week that your million-dollar self would make. Whether it’s reworking your strategy, setting a clear boundary, or making that one decision you’ve been avoiding—act now.

You don't grow into success by doing more. You grow into it by being absolutely focused, knowing what your mission is or knowing what your goal is and becoming aligned with it before you implement new strategies or attend another masterclass or call. want you to ask yourself, who am I being when I execute? Because really that's all that matters. You can learn all day. You can scroll on social media. You can save all the posts that you're going to someday do later, which you never get to. But when you take action, that really is the only thing that matters in business because tactics executed from a misaligned identity will always cause burnout and that's what I'm seeing.

Welcome back to the Raquel show. This show is for entrepreneurs who want to play bigger in business and in life. And the other day I was on some coaching calls with some of our top clients. I am so fortunate to work with some of the highest producers in our industry. And because of that, I get to spot a lot of patterns early. Right now we are seeing more deals fall apart, cancellations, listings sit a little bit longer on the market and agents burning out trying to keep up with the outdated strategies that no longer work in this market. And behind the scenes, I have been working on something I believe the industry is missing a smarter way to grow.

One that answers the real question is how do you scale a profitable real estate business in today's market without managing a massive team babysitting agents or burning out and how do you do it all while having the time to enjoy your life? That's exactly what we're going to dive into today. How do you stop playing small and start leading like the million dollar version of you? And let me be clear, my friends playing bigger doesn't always mean chasing the next million or chasing that million dollar mark and GCI. This isn't about hitting a number. It's about alignment and it's about how building a business really reflects your values, your strengths, and the life you actually want. Some of the most fulfilled and profitable agents I coach aren't aiming for seven figures, but they are scaling smarter, simplifying and building systems that help them with more freedom and control. I actually have a coaching client who blew up her team and restructured her business and is way more profitable today. And she's just enjoying life and way more successful. So if you are chasing your first 300,000 or you're ready to scale to 700,000 without some of the chaos, my friends, I'm telling you this episode is for you.

It's for the agent who is absolutely done grinding at a level they've already outgrown and they're ready to step into the next version of themselves who leads with so much clarity, so much direction and confidence. Let's get real. Playing small isn't a lack of ambition. It's about fear. It's about an outdated identity that you are still carrying. And it's about staying in what's comfortable and what's familiar. And even if the familiar is not necessarily fulfilling. You don't need more strategy right now. You just need a stop hiding behind strategy to avoid taking action. So some of the most common signs when you are playing small is you say yes to the things that drain you because you don't want to disappoint others. You are waiting for the perfect time to set up systems, to hire a coach, to get things in order or to go all in.

You delay making the investments, the moves, the hires that actually grow your business. And if that is you, it's not a business problem. It's a leadership choice decision problem. And that decision starts with identity. So I want to shift the lens for a second. And I want you to really, really ask yourself, who is the million dollar version of me? How do they make decisions? Do they decide with clarity? Do they decide with confidence? Do they decide quickly, but not recklessly? You see, they trust their instincts, they use data, and they don't wait for perfection. I think so many people get caught up in perfectionism, which really does hold them back. They ask, is this aligned with where I'm going? And they just move. Is what I see with some of the most successful people that I coach. Now I want you to ask yourself is what do you say yes to? I will tell you some of the top performers say yes to strategic action. They absolutely say yes to scalable systems. They say yes to high quality relationships and they say yes to opportunities that stretch their growth.

And let me tell you what they say no to: they say no to distractions, which is often disguised as opportunities, they say no to burnout, they say no to overgiving, to prove value, and they say no to playing small, to stay comfortable. They are constantly pushing themselves to be uncomfortable. How do they lead their day? Well, they start with intentions, not real. They protect their prime energy hours for revenue, for creativity for strategic thinking and for leadership. Their calendar reflects their priorities, not other people's chaos. So how do they lead their business? I'll tell you. The big secret is they truly operate like a true CEO. They delegate wisely, they automate strategically, and they track what matters. You can't make business decisions without analyzing data and tracking what matters. They don't chase shiny objects. Matter of fact, a lot of them have gotten really good at trying to stay focused because there are so many distractions out there. And let me tell you, focus is a skill these days. And what do they believe about money, time, and worth? They believe that money follows alignment and leadership.

I was telling my husband the other day, is every time I spend money, I make money. I know some people think that if I save money, then I'll make more money. I think opposite. When I spend money, there's energy that flows and I always make more money. They value their time as the most powerful resource and they know what their worth is. And it's not how much they're doing, but it's in the results that they create and the energy they bring.

You see the million dollar version of you, my friends, isn't waiting for permission. They are not playing by somebody else's roles. They build a business that supports their life and not the other way around. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is this. So if you want to quickly upgrade your identity, I'm going to give you a little quick exercise. I want you to write down what you're tolerating, what you're avoiding and what you're settling for. And number two is next level you. want to give you a really quick identity upgrade exercise.

I want you to write down the current you, write down what you are currently tolerating, avoiding, or settling for. And number two is I want you to think about your next level you. I want you to describe the shifts when you show up and when you say, how do you sell? How do you serve? I want you to write that out. And number three, which is so important is action. Pick one bold move this week that the million dollar version of you would do and just do it. So here are the tactical shifts to make immediately. Start your day with direction, not distractions, no scrolling, no reacting. Lead your day with just clear intention. And two is own your calendar. Your schedule should reflect your goals, not other people's agendas. Going to this event, going to this brokerage tours, really ask yourself how does this align with my goals? And then I want you to communicate from a level that you're building towards. Speak, post, lead from future you, not your past because you're upgrading right now. And then I want you to make decisions on data and direction, not fear. Does this move the mission forward? If not, then it's a no my friends. And then I want you to audit your inputs. People, task, content, are they helping you grow? Are they keeping you stuck? You see every decision you make is casting a vote for the version you are becoming and playing bigger isn't just noise or hustle. It's about stepping into the version that you already know knows how to lead. It's about stepping into the version of you that already knows how to lead because when you start thinking, and when you start deciding and executing from the next level of view, guess what? Your results eventually will catch up. And if you've been shrinking your goals to match your environment, it's time to shift your environment to match your vision. And once you see it that way, you cannot unsee it.

I promise you that's exactly what we do inside of Playbigger is you don't need more time. And that's exactly what we help you with inside of Playbigger. You don't need more time. You need the right system, a sharper identity, and a room that holds you to it. I want to thank you all for tuning in to another quick no fluff episode of the Raquel Show.

And if something clicked today, act on it. Clarity without execution changes nothing, you know what to do next, whether it's reworking your strategy, changing the way you lead, building out a system or simply making one decision your future self will thank you for.
