The 3 Biggest Reasons You’re Stuck and How to Break Through
What if the way you’re operating right now — the systems, the habits, even your mindset — is the very thing holding you back from your next level? In this episode, I’m inviting you to pause before you start planning for 2026 and take a hard, honest look at how you’re finishing this year. Because reflection without planning leads to repeating — and if you’re not careful, you might find yourself stuck in the same cycle a year from now.
I’ll walk you through how to finish the year strong and set yourself up for smarter, better, and bigger goals in 2026 — not just in business, but in life. Whether you’re an agent, entrepreneur, or leader, this is your moment to stop coasting and start operating like the CEO of your own life.
In this episode, I cover:
💡 The 3 biggest reasons most people fail to hit their goals (and how to fix them)
🧭 Why reflection before planning changes everything
🧠 The mindset shift that separates top producers from those who stay stuck
📊 How to systemize your operating system so your business runs like a CEO
💰 The power of running your numbers — not your emotions
🔥 How to finish Q4 with clarity, consistency, and belief
Your 2026 doesn’t start on January 1st — it starts now. So grab a journal, reflect deeply, and take one bold move this month that will set the tone for your next level. And if you’re ready to scale your business with the right systems, mindset, and support, check out my coaching programs at LetsPlayBigger.com

When you realize that it's in the daily and the weekly actions that actually set you up for success and compound over time to hit your goals, guess what? You guard it and you find ways to block out the distractions. I've seen it over and over with the agents I coach. Some will sell 20, some will sell 40, some will sell even 100 homes, but they still feel broke and they still feel stuck. Why? Because they don't have the right money systems.
They don't have the right belief systems and they don't have the most important, which is consistency that makes success inevitable. So I want you to pause for a moment. Think about the goal that you set at the beginning of this year, your 2025 goal. Are you on track? Did you abandon it or are you freaking crushing it?
Welcome back to The Raquel Show. This show is for entrepreneurs who want to play bigger in business and in life. And we are in the final quarter, the season where most people either check out or they double down. And if you're listening to this podcast, you're the type of person who wants to finish strong and set yourself up for your best year yet. But here's the truth. Before you go into planning with your 2026 goals, before you start to build that vision board, the business plan or the production targets, I would ask you to pause. You need to reflect. And like my mentor, Sharon said, is Raquel, before we scale or plan anything big, I want us to diagnose, or what I like to say is reflect. Because without reflection, planning becomes repeating.
And if you repeat the same habits, the same mindsets, the same system, guess what? You're going to repeat the same results. The last thing you want is to be the same person you are today a year from now.
So in today's episode, I want to talk about two things. How do you finish this year strong and how do you set up your plan for bigger, for smarter, for better goals in 2026? And we're going to be doing it together step by step. As you all know that
I love for you to walk away from every single episode with something that you can implement or take action right away because it's so important to do reflection before planning. When we do our play bigger events, everyone loves this part when they get to pause, get away from their day to day environment to really reflect on how they can make big shifts and of course play bigger. So here's where I want you to start.
I want you to be in a quiet place and you might have to listen to this episode again and ask yourself on a scale of one to 10 and be honest, how satisfied am I with what I've accomplished this year so far? Now, just don't think about transactions. I want you to really think about growth. Think about your family. Think about your relationships. Think about your health. Think about your leadership. Think about how you enjoyed 2025.
Did you grow the same rate you wanted? Did you get stuck anywhere? Are there patterns that you see that keep repeating itself? And here's the big question. Does your current operating system, the way you actually run your business and your life, does it still serve you?
Because that operating system that got you here might not be the same one that gets you to where you want to go. I'll give you an example of my own journey.
When I hit my first seven figures in real estate, I remember hustling, running on hustle mode, not structure. I could outwork almost a lot of people. But eventually, my schedule, my systems, and my leadership broke until I changed my operating system. The way I thought and the way I actually led, I could not break through a certain ceiling.
And this is where I see most agents and entrepreneurs get stuck is they have these big new goals, but yet they still operate on the old system. And guess what? That just doesn't work. So here's your first exercise. Go grab a journal or go into your notes section on your phone and write down what is working for me right now. What is not working and then what needs to change in order for me to step into 2026 with momentum. And I would also add, if it were easy, what would I have loved to accomplish?
Now let's talk about goals. I always say it is so easy to choose them and it's much harder to achieve them. And why most people fail is not because they don't want it badly enough.
Not because they're not smart enough, but it's because of three things. Reason number one is there's a lack of clarity. They've set vague goals such as like, oh, Raquel, I want to grow. I want to sell more homes. I want to make more money. Or they even say like, I want to hit $500,000 a year, but there's no actual steps.
And I think clarity is power. So without the clear numbers, without deadlines or timelines or steps, your brain doesn't know how to chase. Reason number two is there's a lack of belief. Your business will never outgrow your mindset. If deep down you don't believe that you can hit, for example, 500,000 or build a team or invest in properties, you will end up sabotaging yourself before you even start.
I know this because I am feeling this right now. I don't know if many of you guys know, I hired a business coach recently and I have a call coming up with him in the next few weeks. And do I feel very behind of this impossible goal that I set? A thousand percent. Do I want to quit? Oh, heck yes. Am I doubting my goal? A hundred percent. But here's what I said. I've made a commitment and I need to see it through this year.
And if what I plan for the next 30 days did not work, I need to adjust and still believe that it is still possible. So reason number three on why people fail is the lack of consistency. We don't rise to the level of our goals. We fall to the level of our systems. If you don't have a rhythm of daily actions, weekly reviews, or any type of accountability, you will always start strong and eventually fizzle out. mean, come on, we know plenty of agents that do this year after year after year or even friends.
And here's the truth, wherever you're at, I do not need you to judge yourself because it is not about that. It's just about adjusting. This is a time where I see most agents give up and say, let's just start next year already. Let's start planning for 2026 because I don't see us hitting our team goal.
for 2025. But guess what? It's in the final moments that actually set you up better with momentum. If you finish strong, you still have time to impact your year and it's going to require a different pace. It's going to require a different version of you. So just keep pushing. Raquel, how do I shift? How do you stop running your business like an overwhelmed chaotic agent and start running it like a CEO?
I want to give you three principles.
- Principle number one is systemize your operating system. A CEO doesn't react. Guess what they plan. They review and they course correct. Start small, create a weekly CEO meeting with yourself. Look at some of your leads, look at your pipeline, look at your CRM, look at your finances and your calendar. And then you have to ask yourself: "Am I moving towards my priorities or am I getting distracted? Am I putting more on my plate? That's getting me further away from my goals." This is a big one that will sneak up.
- Principle number two is run numbers like a CEO. Stop thinking in terms of commission checks and start thinking in terms of cashflow, reserves, investment, and profitability. If you don't know your numbers, you don't own your business. Your business owns you and you are going off of feelings and that can only last for so long.
- And principle number three is lead with mindset and belief. Your skillset, especially in this market matters, but your mindset is your multiplier. If you believe that you can grow, guess what? You're going to find a way. If you don't, you're going to default to lots of excuses.
And here's a mantra I use. If not this, then something better is around the corner. It's how I reframe my setbacks and it's the exact belief shift that keeps me aligned when things don't go my way. So I want to get practical. Here's three things I want you to think about.
What's one system in my business that needs to evolve for 2026 and number two is what belief do I need to release in order to step into the next level and number three, is what's one bold move I can take in the next 30 days to finish strong. And I'm going to give you a bonus one. Who do I need in my world right now that can help me get there faster? And if you really want to lock this in, I would challenge you all to share this with a friend or someone because accountability accelerates growth.
And here's what I want you to leave with today, your 2026 doesn't start on January 1st. It starts now. It starts with the reflection you do today. It starts with the systems you set up this month. It starts with the mindset you choose to walk in right now. So finish the year strong. Don't coast into 2026. Step into that clarity, the belief, the consistency, the three things that make success inevitable. I want to thank you all for tuning in to another quick episode of The Raquel Show.
I hope today's conversation gave you a wake up call, maybe gave you clarity and momentum that you need to move forward with confidence.
