And you'll never think your way into readiness. You'll only move your way there.

Welcome back to The Raquel Show. This show is for entrepreneurs who want to play bigger in business and in life. And I'm so glad you're here. Whether you are listening to this show between appointments or you're at the gym or just during your morning routine, I want to say thank you because every time you share this podcast or send me a message of how it's helped you in the next step, it just reminds me why I do this because growth isn't about information. It's about transformation. 

And today's message might be the permission slip you've been waiting for. Here's the truth. You'll never feel ready because ready is in a feeling. It is actually a decision. The hesitation that you feel, my friend, it is absolutely normal. But the difference between those who keep waiting and those who build momentum is they move before they feel ready. 

So today I want to talk about why waiting for readiness keeps you stuck and how to build confidence through movement and not perfection. So grab your notebook. This one is for the high achiever in you who knows there's more but keeps waiting for that perfect time. I can't even begin to tell you how many times in my career I have not felt ready, not ready to start a business at 19, not ready to 
build my first team, not ready to lead a company as a CEO, not ready to launch an event or even talk on stage, not ready to be in startup and hold a C level position and being the only female I was never ready. And I obviously always questioned myself and doubted myself during those moments. But if I had waited until I felt ready, I'd still be waiting. 

And I remember when I launched our coaching business, Play Bigger in 2020. had all the ideas, but that voice in my head said, Oh, Raquel, no one's going to want to pay you. You might need more experience. You might need a better website. You might need more time. It was even the same with this podcast, but something in me knew that waiting was just a fear wearing as a professional disguise. And when I tell you, finally decided to move, when it was messy, when it was imperfect, when I was scared, but committed, everything started to shift. 

And the truth is; action and movement create clarity and clarity builds confidence. And you'll never think your way into readiness. Guess what? You'll only move your way there. So I want to break it down into three truths that every entrepreneur, leader and dreamer needs to understand. Truth. Number one is readiness is a myth.

No one ever feels ready for the next level. Not even the people you admire the most. 

Not even the people that you see on social media that have all the confidence in the world. You think others have figured it out because they move with confidence. But here's the secret. Confidence comes from action, not before it. And the reason why most people stay stuck is because they're waiting for certainty in an uncertain world. They want guarantees before they can move. But business leadership 

And life, guess what, my friend, doesn't work that way. You can't control the outcome, but you can control your decision to start. That's the most control that you have. So instead of asking, am I ready? Start asking, am I willing? Willingness will always be readiness. And truth number two is fear and readiness coexist. The goal isn't to eliminate fear. It's to move with it. Despite how you're feeling, you're going to feel nervous. 

You're going to doubt yourself and you're going to overthink all the different things. But if fear is present, it means growth is near your comfort zone and your calling will never coexist. When I built Playbigger, I didn't have all the systems figure out. I didn't even have leverage, but I had conviction that I wanted to build something that mattered. And I trusted that I would figure out the how once I decided the why. 

And you can't wait for fear to disappear before you move because it just never does. You'll just learn how to actually move with it and even lead through it. And truth number three is movement creates momentum. I know you guys have heard this on the podcast, but every big win starts with one small step, a messy step, an imperfect step, because guess what? You can plan forever and ever. But nothing changes until you act. And when you move, the universe meets you with clarity. It meets you with opportunity and it meets you with people who actually want to help you grow. Maybe you have been sitting on the sidelines of trying to build your business or hire the coach or finally go all in on your real estate business, whether it's new tools or hiring assistant. And I want you to know that this is your reminder. Stop waiting for the perfect moment. There is no perfect moment. There is only now. And the agents and the entrepreneurs who succeed don't have fewer fears. They just move faster through them. 

And here's what I want you to reflect, because you know, I like to give you a reflection or thinking questions every single week. So what are you waiting to feel ready for? What decision have you been postponing? Because you're afraid it won't be perfect. And if you trusted that readiness was a decision, not a feeling, what would you do today? And I want you to write it down or I want you to think about it. And then I want you to take one scary, bold decision step towards it, no matter how big or how small, because once you move, even if it's a small step, momentum kicks in.
