The CEO Year End Audit Brand, Performance, Leadership & Future Scale
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
This episode is your wake-up call—because before you upgrade your goals, you must upgrade you.
I’m walking you through the exact CEO-level audit I do every single December… the same audit that has helped me scale multiple companies, build stronger teams, clean up my brand, and operate with clarity instead of chaos.
Most people think they’re stuck because they don’t know the next strategy.
the truth? They’re stuck because they haven't audited what’s slowing them down.
This isn’t a fluffy planning session.
This is where we get brutally honest about…
- what’s outdated,
- what’s leaking your energy,
- what’s no longer aligned,
- and what has to change before you step into your next level.
If you're tired of setting goals that don’t stick...
If you're done repeating the same patterns each year…
If you’re ready to lead like a CEO instead of operate like a firefighter…
This episode will shift your entire trajectory.

Grow Your Real Estate Business with Real Brokerage
Your brand is not your colors, it's not your logo, it's not your filters or your fonts or like all the pretty things. Your brand is your reputation, your consistency, your brand is your positioning, your standards and your emotional experience people associate with your name. So the first question in your audit is does my brand reflect who I've become or who I used to be because growth without brand alignment creates confusion and confusion kills conversion.
Welcome back to The Play Bigger Podcast. If this is your first time here, welcome. And if you have been hanging out with me for a while, you already know I don't do surface level conversations. We go deep, we go honest, and we always somehow get back to leadership. And this episode is a follow up from Episode 392 Scaling Starts with a Business Uudit, not a Business Plan.
And if you haven't listened to that episode, my friend, go back and bookmark it. That episode laid the foundation. And today we build the full CEO audit and I'll have a gift for you at the end. So it's not just your business. It's not just your goals, but your brand, your performance, your leadership, your decisions, and your readiness to actually scale in the next season. Because most people don't hit a ceiling from the lack of talent or the lack of hustle. They hit a ceiling from the lack of clarity, capacity, and structure.
And if you are listening to this in December, this is your exact conversation you should be having not about what you want next year, but what actually needs to be cleared up, cleaned up before you go there. This is your CEO level year-end audit. Grab your notebook because this is not a passive lesson.
So why does this CEO audit matter? Well, we've all been conditioned to think January is our new goals. It's about the new goals. But here's the truth that most people won't even tell you new goals built on unresolved friction always create new stress and not new results. Friction looks like overwhelm that never fully goes away inconsistent execution, peaks of momentum followed by crashes, burnout that keeps repeating or feeling successful but not fulfilled or even feeling behind.
That's what happens because when you upgrade the vision without upgrading the infrastructure, you end up feeling the friction. And as a CEO, you don't get paid for wishing, you don't get paid for hope, you get paid for diagnosing and auditing. Why? Because you can get feedback and pivot and make adjustments a lot quicker.
So every year before I ask, what do I want to do next? I ask, what is slowing me down right now Raquel? What is holding back my growth and what breaks every time I try to grow because clarity creates speed but denial creates chaos and the higher you go the more expensive your blind spots become and I say fix the friction before the vision.
So I want to start with number one the brand audit. You know your brand is not your colors, it's not your logo, it's not your filters or your fonts or like all the pretty things. Your brand is your reputation. Your brand is your consistency. Your brand is your positioning. Your brand is your standards and your brand is the emotional experience people associate with your name. So the first question in your audit is does my brand reflect who I've become or who I used to be because growth without brand alignment creates confusion and confusion kills conversion. So I want you to ask yourself, when someone lands on my page, do they instantly know who I help? What I stand for? What problem do I solve? Or do they see a bunch of highlight reels with no clear direction?
See, we just finished mapping out our different brand guidelines for all of our different companies. And we have @itsraquelq or The Raquel Quinet brand. And that focus is on our coaching, helping agents and people Play Bigger. Then we have Everything AZ Living brand, which we just started. And that's a brand where we promote all things local, all things neighborhoods, subdivisions and community insight. Then we have Join AZ Edge, which is a local community platform for Arizona real estate agents. And last we have our team brand, which we are looking to grow, which is The Results Group. All of them serve a different purpose, a different audience. So your brand should actually feel and represent what you're trying to do or who you're trying to help. Your ideal audience or your customer should experience your brand and go, that's me. I want to be their customer. I want to work with them.
Now I want to go into something deeper is brand consistency audit. Do you actually show up consistently or do you only show up when you feel inspired? Are you educational? Are you inspirational? Are you funny? Are you entertainment? Are you visible? Or are you known for your thought leadership? Or are you just doing the things just to do the things like posting just to post? You see visibility without positioning is just exposure, but positioning is what creates demand. So I want you to do a brand integrity audit. Do your private decisions match your public message? I know some of you guys have know those people in your world or not even in your world, but people you've come across that who they are online is not exactly who they are offline. And do your offers match your values? Does your lifestyle reflect the leadership that you actually teach because your brand will never rise above your integrity. And the hardest brand question of them all is have I evolved while my brand has still stayed the same? If your brand still reflects the old season of you, your growth might feel heavy because you're carrying an identity that no longer fits.
So the next audit is our personal and performance audit. This is where high achievers avoid looking because you can hide behind results for a long time, but eventually the body, the mind, the nervous system does collect the bill. Success is not built on motivation. It is actually built on capacity. So the first question here is simple. Do I have the physical, the mental and the emotional capacity to hold the life that I want or am building because you don't build big businesses from exhausted nervous systems, you build them from regulated ones. So think about your health audit. Are you honoring your body? Are you overriding it? Are you fueling yourself with intention or convenience? Do you move your body consistently? For me, I'll tell you my floor when I can't get to F45 or the gym is running on the treadmill for at least 15 minutes. Your business will never outperform the personal health longterm. It only mirrors it.
So the next one is your discipline audit. This one is a big one because this kind of drives everything. Do you keep promises to yourself or do you hit that snooze button? Are you consistent when no one is watching or only accountable when it's external? Your future is built on your private discipline, not your public ones. So the next audit is your performance audit. Are you doing the needle moving task daily or are you just doing the comfortable ones? Are you protecting deep work time or open to every interruption? Your calendar is your real business plan and I want you to be honest with it.
The next one is your decision and leadership audit. This is so important. This is an audit that separates top performer operators from true leaders because leadership is revealed by what you tolerate, what you delay, what you avoid and what you over control and what you refuse to release because maybe things are just comfortable. So I want you to ask yourself, do I make decisions from vision or from fear? Do I delay hard conversations? Do I avoid disappointing people even when leadership requires it? Do I micromanage because I don't trust? And do I build people and systems I can actually rely on? Every delayed decision taxes your future. I'm gonna say that again because it is so important. Every delayed decision taxes your future. Leadership is not a personality, it is clarity, it is courage, it is consistency. So here's the truth. You don't get stuck because you do not know what to do. You get stuck because you avoid what you already know is necessary. And every time you choose comfort over clarity, you choose delay over momentum, my friend. So, leadership means saying no a lot faster. Leadership means firing faster and leadership means forgiving faster. Leadership means delegating faster and deciding faster because indecision is still a decision with a heavy cost.
The last one is your future readiness and scale audit. Now that we can look forward, this is one of the most confronting question in the entire audit. If my business doubled tomorrow, could it survive? want you to audit the following. When it comes to your systems, are your process documented, automated, or are they sitting in your head? When it comes to your team structure, is everyone clear on their ownership or are you still the default solution? When it comes down to automation, are you still doing what technology could actually handle, especially with AI today? Because if you are, guess what? You might still be the bottleneck. And then when it comes down to your finances, do you know your margin? I know a lot of you guys don't, but do you know your burn rate? I would actually challenge you. Do you know your burn rate for your business? What are your operating costs? What's your burn rate there? And then what's your burn rate in your personal life? And then what is your profit per client? I know as I have looked at numbers this year with our private clients, the profit margins have gotten slimmer.
Because there's more cost on a listing side, there are costs to cancellations that we did not anticipate this year. They were higher than what they have normally been. So think about your finance and think about some of those questions and audit it. Then it comes down to your client experience. Is it consistent or dependent on how busy you are?
True scale, my friend, doesn't respond to hustle. It responds to infrastructure.
And here's the truth, if growth would currently break you, you are not yet positioned to multiply. And that's not failure. That's just an invitation that you've got to build properly. And you've got to just build different things and different systems so that you can scale with a little bit of freedom. Now we integrate everything. I want you to cut what no longer fits your future identity, whether it's people, whether it's projects, whether it's standards or whether it's habits, bad habits, I would say. And I want you to keep what compounds your growth, your piece, your purpose, which is systems, relationships, routines, and offers. I want you to call in what your next season requires of you, whether it's a cleaner focus, stronger boundaries, higher standards, deeper leadership. You can't manifest through wanting. You manifest when you get real through alignment.
Here's the real work. Think about what truly worked this year.
What quietly failed, what kept breaking every time you tried to grow or scale and what did you tolerate way too long? Who do you actually need to become at the next level? This isn't judgment, it's just leadership. And so my personal commitment is I'm going into next year with a couple simple commitments. I want to grow the companies that I've committed to and helping others around me have bigger opportunities or have people around me Play Bigger. I want to inspire more people to Play Bigger. want stronger systems. I want clear standards. And I want to lead from a place that creates courage and legacy driven decisions. I'm no longer building just to build. I'm engineering it and architecting it.
So if this message stirred something inside of you, that's leadership hitting you.
You don't need permission to elevate. You just need clarity. You need courage. You need a standard. You refuse to negotiate. Your next level isn't hiding in a new strategy. It's just waiting inside of clarity and it's what you might've been avoiding. I want to thank you for hanging out with me on another quick episode of The Play Bigger Podcast. I hope today's conversation gave you the clarity and the momentum you need to move forward with confidence.
And if you're ready to go deeper on strategy and scaling your business to the next level, I want you to check out letsplaybigger.com because we've got some big things coming up for 2026. And until next time, I want you to keep taking bold action, even if it's messy. And I want you to always Play Bigger.
