Mads - The Tattoo Sociologist
I have a master's degree in sociology and attempted a Ph.D. as well (go half way through and found out it was not what I wanted), and I spent my entire academic career researching tattoos, with special attention to embodiment, identity, and culture.
I have created this podcast as a passion project for me and to try and do my part, in continuously improving both the tattoo world itself, but also the knowledge others outside of it, have regarding tattoos and tattooed people.
I am of course also an avid collector of tattoos, as well as a massive nerd.
Lastly, I am from Denmark but I have a special place in my heart for the UK (and their tattoo scene) and more so than anywhere else I love Scotland.
