Covered in Ink - Beverly Yuen Thompson

Mads - The Tattoo Sociologist Episode 24

Hello Inky Thinkers and welcome to the 24th episode of the podcast

This time around, we are once again diving deeply into some tattoo sociology, looking at yet another amazing book from the world of tattoo sociology: "Covered in Ink", a book written almost 10 years ago, on female identity, tattoo collecting and body politics.

Of course, I would not dive into this topic on my own, and I am over the moon about my guests this time. The author of Covered in Ink, Beverly Yuen Thompson, joins me on the episode. Not only is Beverly an avid tattoo collector herself, but she is also a professor in sociology in New York and has done extensive research on tattoos, culture and identity. She is an idol turned friend, and I know you will love her on this episode!

PS: I also went on her YouTube channel which I will link below!

As always, there is love, laughter, deep discussion, and something to learn!

Please enjoy and share with your friends, family, pets, and anyone else into tattoos!
