Inky Thoughts
The Dark, Surreal and Strange - Katie Mizuno
Hello Inky Thinkers and welcome to the 28th episode of the podcast
This time around we are going to dive into the world of blackwork, blackout and ornamental tattoos. A grouping of tattoo styles, where some of the beauty that comes from the surreal and abstract art, or just sheer commitment to the style, is sometimes lost on others, who find it over simplistic or "too easy"
However, in this episode I will try to respond to show of this criticism and show the beauty of these styles, together with my amazing guest Katie Mizuno. Katie knows more than a little bit about the style, as she is herself a big fan of it and has adorned her body in blackwork, blackout and ornamental tattoos. But indeed, she is also an absolutely incredible artist specializing in these types of tattoos. Together we will hopefully show, that it is way more than just coloring in or covering up.
As always, there is love, laughter, deep discussion, and something to learn!
Please enjoy and share with your friends, family, pets, and anyone else into tattoos!
