Hello Inky Thinkers and welcome to the 35th episode of the podcast
This time around we are back to the subseries 'beyond the gate' where I give attention to tattoo artists from marginalized background and with their help hope to educate my audience about the power and beauty of diversity. This time with an added dash of discussing the positive effect tattoos can have on mental health and self-perception
This time around, I am joined by an amazing guest, the tattoo artist and mental health counsellor CeeJ the Artist, who shared her expertise, experiences and wisdom in both regards, as a black female tattoo artist and as a mental health counsellor. With personal experience, from both her fields, on how tattoos can assists people's mental health in a positive way. She also has an ambition, not only to build stronger communities for POC female artists and creatives, but also for making a more tangible attempt, at combining mental health counselling with tattooing.
