Hey Charles McCullough, it's the honor uh that I have always to speak with uh Coach Crystal, aka Cece Anderson coach. Wow, hey, clear like Letty Falcons, you got a senior laden squad, but these kids are scrappy and uh proved it Tuesday night against Barbers Hill.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it was a it was a fun one. It was a tough match, and we had a game plan and we stuck to that game plan and the outcome showed.
SPEAKER_04What did you feel going into that match? I think you have confidence in these kids extending from a deep playoff run last year, going deeper than any other at the time, 24-6A team. Now it's 18-6A with Barbers Hill in the mix, but uh that confidence has never wavered at all.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think we're we're peaking at a good time right now. I think that we're I think the kids are buying into the fact that you gotta have a game plan, and if you stick to that game plan, the results will show for it. A lot of effort, a lot of um energy, and you gotta put it all out there every night in the world.
SPEAKER_04And you've got some real killers out there. I mean, uh Miss Tibbetts and Regner, Miss Landra Young Dahl. You've got uh uh Miss uh uh uh Harambang, the uh outstanding Natalie boy, the uh uh number 18, the Libera. I mean, you guys are really bringing it. Senior leadership means a lot.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we've been working really hard this year on leadership, um, and just making sure that we're re relying on each other and not just trying to do things on our own. Um it takes it takes a group effort. So uh kids are all buying into that and coming around.
SPEAKER_04Great. Hey, uh God bless. Uh and we've got clear springs tonight, so another tough challenge, but uh you guys have risen to just about every challenge so far and have been taking everybody to five, even if you have lost. Uh that just tells me that if there's a second time, when there's a second time around, especially after the other night against Barbers Hill, uh everybody needs to be on the lookout for the Clear Lake Lady Falcons.
SPEAKER_00Appreciate that. Yeah, we've been in some dog fights, so we're just keep on fighting, that's all you can do. Yep.
SPEAKER_04Hey, Charles McCutle, the honor of talking to two outstanding uh Clear Lake Lady Falcons, the senior laden squad had a wonderful victory against Barbers Hill the other night. So, and uh, ma'am, one of the outstanding young Lady Falcons, your name and number?
SPEAKER_01Morgan Regner, number 12.
SPEAKER_04Oh man, you're hitting them outside of the park.
SPEAKER_01And your name Landry Youngdoll, number six.
SPEAKER_04Landry, of course, the pastor, and you're gotten a foot taller. You tell me last year y'all were doing everything in the weight room, and my goodness, I've got to understand what's going on with the power and the strength with these kids. They have about 135 pounds with their bench pressing that weight and more, which uh exceeds people over 60 like me. And what is your name again?
SPEAKER_03Alicia Faranacci.
SPEAKER_04Alicia, Hurricane Alicia. Oh my goodness. Now, let me tell you what, you guys have you've been serving some really incredible, uh almost kills from the backcourt. But that was a big victory the other night against uh uh Barbers Hill.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I think it was a really good team effort. We tried really hard. We fought really hard, and it we ended up going to uh 33 to 31 in the third set. So pushing after that, trying to finish out the fifth set was a good victory for us, and I think it's giving us momentum for this game tonight.
SPEAKER_04Yes, ma'am. And Landry, uh what is you guys have got the rotation down as a senior now uh in a way that can kind of upset and rock and roll the opposing team's momentum in their system. Talk a little bit about how you and Morgan are working together on that deal.
SPEAKER_01Well, me and Morgan are both outside hitters, so I think when we go up to hit, we always aim for in the court, obviously, but we try to be the most aggressive we can be and put in spots they're not, which really works, especially mixing up our shots and it really uh makes it opponent work harder and it leads us to more kills, which leads us to winning.
SPEAKER_04I know that's right in Morgan. What in the world? So you guys are lifting weights, aren't you?
SPEAKER_02Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_04Oh my lord. And is that or do you have a specific way to that's mostly in the off-season, I take it.
SPEAKER_02We do a little bit during the season, but not as much as off season.
SPEAKER_04What are y'all working on? Because Landry told me last year on in the playoffs that y'all were doing flat pulls, and she says, We do everything. I remember her telling me that. So you guys are lifting, and uh how how in the world do you get this power? Because I mean you're drilling some spikes that look like they're coming from the asteroid that took out most of the dinosaurs. But so it's really pretty incredible.
SPEAKER_02We do a lot of rows and IYTs and benches, but also.
SPEAKER_04IYT, what is that?
SPEAKER_02An IYT, it's like a I don't know how to shoulder exercise. Shoulder exercise to crank up momentum. But it's also a lot of the mechanics, I mean, just being aggressive.
SPEAKER_04No, that's right. Wow. And like I say, you get you just know how to get the sets from young ladies like uh uh Hurricane Alicia or and by the way, Hurricane Alicia, when you are serving, do you prefer a float serve, uh Tomahawks or what exactly do you think is gonna uh upset the momentum of your opposing team that you're serving to?
SPEAKER_03I really like like deep floating, or if they're like on the back line a lot, I like to serve short, mix it up, keep them honest.
SPEAKER_04Keep them honest. Well that but y'all have that integrity, that's what it's all about as a team playing together, graduating seniors, and uh that's a big deal. Finally, uh Morgan, what do you like studying in school?
SPEAKER_02Like right now? Oh, I like everything medically. So a lot of medical classes keep me learning about the body.
SPEAKER_04Yes, ma'am. What do you plan on doing with your next level of uh in volleyball or in post-high school?
SPEAKER_02Um, I'm going to North Florida to play sand volleyball, so that's exciting. I'll go for my official visit in February and then start in the summer.
SPEAKER_04Sand volleyball, and how about you, Miss Young Dao?
SPEAKER_01Currently I like studying science, but in the future I hope to go to a school and study political science so I can be an attorney.
SPEAKER_04Oh man, if you run for president, I'll definitely vote for you. And Hurricane Alicia, uh, what are your plans, ma'am? And can you speak Italian? That's unbelievable. Grazie.
SPEAKER_03No, I don't speak Italian. Um, but I do like saying uh I know your dad is.
SPEAKER_04I've actually spoken a little bit with him.
SPEAKER_03Yes, uh my grandparents are Italian and so does my dad, which makes that me Italian. But I do like studying medical classes. I do plan on majoring in kinesiology with the hope to become a radiation therapist.
SPEAKER_04All right. Lots of geniuses out here. This is one of the reasons why Lake exceeds both as a top uh academic school, but also uh athletically. Hey, thank you all, you young ladies, uh, for this opportunity. Any other words you'd like to add, Miss Morgan Regner.
SPEAKER_02I'm excited for this year, and I feel like we're gonna compete very well.
SPEAKER_01Make it far.
SPEAKER_04And Miss Landry Youngdong.
SPEAKER_01I hope we all go all out and do our best and succeed.
SPEAKER_04That's spoken like a real candidate for Senate. And Alicia Hurase, Hurricane Alicia, Miss Alicia Faranacci.
SPEAKER_03Thank you. Appreciate you. Thank you. All right, yeah.
