Tearing Down Strongholds
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Everyone has a stronghold. A stronghold is where we run when things get difficult. In Paul’s day, it was a fortress where people would run to escape danger. Spiritually, a stronghold is anything on which we depend. The world offers us many strongholds that are counterfeits. These strongholds do not keep their promises and do not satisfy. Jesus Christ is the only stronghold that we can fully trust, and the gospel alone has the power to tear down all counterfeit strongholds. Be encouraged: there is no stronghold which has overtaken you that the gospel of Jesus Christ cannot destroy.
Take Home Message: No stronghold can stand against the power of the gospel.

Counterfeit Warfare.
- 2 Cor. 10:3- For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
Counterfeit Worship.
- 2 Cor. 10:4- For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds
Counterfeit Worldviews.
- 2 Cor. 10:5- We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.
