Three friends gather around the table for a wide-ranging conversation that takes listeners on a journey from New York City's iconic eateries to the perfectly manicured fairways of Augusta National.

When one host returns from NYC, we're treated to comparative urban analysis between the Big Apple and Chicago, with special attention to their distinctive pizza styles (the verdict: New York wins). Broadway shows get enthusiastic reviews, particularly "The Outsiders," which proved so immersive that from the front row, our host claims he "could have patted the actors on the head during curtain call." College campus visits for his daughter reveal the stark differences between NYU and Pace University's layouts, with NYU emerging as the favorite despite challenging weather.

The Masters discussion provides remarkable insider knowledge about Augusta National, including how course managers actually freeze azaleas to ensure perfect blooming during tournament week. The hosts highlight television's inability to capture Augusta's true beauty and dramatic elevation changes, while also noting the fascinating economic paradox of ridiculously cheap food prices alongside extraordinarily expensive merchandise.

The conversation shifts to wrestling with palpable excitement about an upcoming "micro wrestling" event featuring little people wrestlers, before delivering a comprehensive WrestleMania preview. Each major match receives thoughtful analysis, with particular focus on the triple threat match where Paul Heyman's influence becomes a key point of speculation. The episode concludes with a baseball update on their ongoing friendly wager - Cubs versus Reds - providing the perfect closing note to this dynamic, friendship-driven conversation.

Subscribe now and join these three diverse perspectives as they tackle the topics you care about with humor, insight, and occasionally contradictory viewpoints that make for an entertaining and enlightening listening experience.

Speaker 1:

three guys around the table and by three guys.

Speaker 3:

We're talking about three friends a lawyer, an engineer and a school superintendent and just like our personalities, our opinions vary and we certainly don't always agree. Whether we're discussing the best of or giving our tips and tricks of, things in everyday life, you're sure to learn something if you stick around.

Speaker 2:

It's been a couple of weeks since we've done one of these. I believe it's good to be back, good to have everyone back. We've had some travels over the last few weeks including.

Speaker 1:

I've been getting my travel on New York City. Yeah, I found no salsa while I was there. It's ridiculous get a rope well, did you have any salsa when you were in new york city?

Speaker 2:

no, I had some pizza, though. So talk about new york city. I want to hear just a little bit.

Speaker 1:

It's big uh been to chicago many times. Yep, it's. It's a little bit more cramped than chicago. Is not quite as clean as chicago is? I was gonna ask you uh, saw no rats, which was a big surprise yeah, yeah, um, they eat pizza, different pizza, you know, uh, now pizza. Do you like chicago style better, do you like new york?

Speaker 2:

style better. Uh, I like columbus ohio style the best, but of those two.

Speaker 1:

That was not. That was not part of the question I have to go, did? It? Was columbus in that question. It should have been.

Speaker 2:

Ever heard it, it should have been all right, uh, thin cracker crust, little curly pepperoni. I am 100% New York style. New York over Chicago for me. Yep, chicago crust I can eat like half a piece of that, yeah, you can't eat much of it and it's just too rich yeah it's all you want. I agree with that. But yeah, I'd say New York style.

Speaker 1:

No, new York was good. Saw a couple colleges, saw some Broadway shows, got to meet the lady from Succession and Total support.

Speaker 2:

Liv, right, is that her name on the? What was her character's name? Was it Driv Liv?

Speaker 1:

I can't remember, I can't remember Sarah Snook yeah, from Australia. Oh, is that?

Speaker 2:

right, yeah fun fact, oh wait that's different. That's fun fact.

Speaker 3:

But New York was good. Australia's a beautiful place over in the Alps.

Speaker 2:

Glad to be back. I believe you're incorrect there.

Speaker 1:

GO boy Glad to be back though. Yes, yes, so it was good. It's also good Broadway shows.

Speaker 2:

What was the best one? Outsiders, oh yeah.

Speaker 1:

Stay, golden Ponyboy. It was the show of the year last year.

Speaker 2:

And you had never seen. I never saw the book, I never read the book, never saw the movie.

Speaker 1:

The movie's fantastic Matt.

Speaker 2:

Dillon. Oh my God, Ralph.

Speaker 3:

Macchio Matt Dillon, patrick Swayze, tom Cruise.

Speaker 1:

Janie says the Broadway show is way better than the movie. Well, I'll tell you it's way better than the book.

Speaker 3:

I've never read the book.

Speaker 1:

Janie's read the book too, and she said it's way better than the book.

Speaker 3:

Logan had to read it in high school.

Speaker 1:

He swears up and down he read it, reagan read it in high school, but Logan watched the movie.

Speaker 2:

He loves it. Kerry says that the book was written by a 15-year-old. That's what I understood.

Speaker 1:

A 15-year-old girl wrote the book. That's what I understood too. Wow, that's why you have soda pop and all that we were literally. That was the show we splurged on. We were literally in the front row and they had these little rubber pellets that made up most of the stage and you just got covered in them and literally, when they were doing bows, I could have patted them on the head, Wow.

Speaker 3:

I would have anointed all of them.

Speaker 1:

But it was great Saw some schools, varying schools. Schools and colleges in New York City are different than colleges in Kentucky. So which was the favorite? Nyu was the favorite, no question. It's more of a traditional college campus. We visited it in Pace and Pace was more. You can tell Pace is growing, but their buildings are sporadic. They're in a five-block area but they're not together at all. I mean it could be seven buildings away is a different one and the only way you know it's a college building is there's a peace flag sitting outside of it. I remember care for that.

Speaker 2:

Well, I remember going on a college visit my junior year in high school to a place I was looking at, a Duquesne university, which is in Pittsburgh. Yeah and uh, I was really excited about it. My mom at that time wanted me to go to a catholic university. I just wanted to go where I maybe could play baseball, but definitely that some someplace that had a pharmacy school, because that was what I wanted to do right at the time. How did it work out? Well, I was back in the 40s and oh, that's true then 1840s we use we't know they had pharmacies.

Speaker 3:

We used leeches for most of our medicine. Yes, you did. We did a lot of bloodletting.

Speaker 2:

So we went there and we get out and we're walking up to the student union and there was, it had rained and you know how sometimes when stuff gets left out, it gets kind of mashed into the ground. So there was this magazine that was just laying on the ground and we were walking over towards it and it was a porn magazine that was all matted and you were with your mom, yeah that's awesome and my brother did you, my brother did you already have that particular magazine.

Speaker 2:

Well, that particular issue, I was still waiting on that issue. There we go.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's funny, it was covered in brown paper, but you saw real quick what it was.

Speaker 2:

So Marthie the mom, she looked over and saw that and she's like you're not going here and I was like really she's like oh, this is over.

Speaker 1:

I guess you're trying to say that you hadn't blacked your name out of the list yet. The little tag they put on for delivery, that's right they should always take a black marker. Do that, yeah, so that's funny that's good, so um yeah, so hailey's going up there still this summer for a couple weeks awesome um to do some theater training yep training and we'll see how she likes the other los angeles better well you know which campus do you think she'll like better pace university in new york city or laola marymount in los angeles?

Speaker 2:

knowing your daughter, pace probably we'll see how close is loyal uh marymount to like where the fires and stuff were, seriously I don't know, right out there beside them.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, real close.

Speaker 2:

I know that Pepperdine is right there.

Speaker 1:

I mean this is real close. What beach is it real close to?

Speaker 3:

Delray Beach no Delray's in Florida.

Speaker 1:

Are you sure?

Speaker 3:

Santa Monica.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, there's some pier. She's going to go up.

Speaker 3:

Santa Monica Pier yeah yeah, there's some pier.

Speaker 2:

She's gonna go up santa monica pier. Yeah, I don't know, muscle beach crickets just popped on there for some reason.

Speaker 1:

I don't know, I've never been there I've never been to california, so I won't.

Speaker 3:

I don't know it's uh, it's awesome out there, but it's just a different lifestyle now it's supposed to be just looking stuff up online.

Speaker 1:

It's supposed to be a beautiful campus, like always, ranked in the top three most beautiful campuses, well out there their high schools look like college buildings I mean it's insane, but just think about those people that the.

Speaker 2:

The weather is just so incredible out there, though.

Speaker 3:

That's the one yeah, she'll hate that you gotta love when the fires are blowing and the smoke gets in your eyes makes it easy to cry on command she really liked nyu.

Speaker 1:

She liked it better than Pace, and it rained and was cold the whole time and she really liked it still, so she's really going to like it. That was depressing Very depressing, but I didn't like that. The airport was 13 miles away and it took us an hour and 40 minutes to get there Now?

Speaker 2:

were you JFK or?

Speaker 1:

LaGuardia, we were neither one. Newark we were Newark.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, newark is oh.

Speaker 1:

I hate flying into Newark.

Speaker 2:

Oh, it wasn't the greatest?

Speaker 1:

It wasn't the greatest. Did you have a delay? We had no delay. We had a direct flight, so that's the reason why we took it. Yeah, the fact that you got in and out of Newark without a delay is the exception and we got. We got home 20 minutes early as a matter of fact, that's strange. What was great is when we got on the plane to come back. The captain gets on there and I was like I understand that voice and it was a Louisville-based crew, so they were ready to go home.

Speaker 3:

Hey man, we're going to land this plane over here in the corner over here.

Speaker 1:

He said we're going to try to get in a little early.

Speaker 2:

We're. This Louisville-based crew is ready to get home. That's awesome. So it worked out just fine, guaranteed well, so we are. We got some huge events going on right now. We got the masters yeah, let's talk about that a little bit, then we what else you got? Well we've got. We've got small person wrestling coming up this week that we may need to discuss.

Speaker 1:

We got tons of wrestling coming up this week. It's wrestlemania and we've got wrestlemania. That's a week away and we got baseball starting. Baseball starting up. We've got to tell people where we stand on our bets that we've made.

Speaker 3:

We don't support gambling, but gamble responsibly. We've not been in here since opening day or anything. Wow.

Speaker 1:

Masters, masters.

Speaker 3:

Master, it is actually Masters.

Speaker 1:

Sunday. The final groups tee off in about an hour and 30 minutes from right now. I think it's a two person race. I could be wrong, but the last eight masters the winners come out of the final group. That final group is Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau. Rory is two shots ahead right now.

Speaker 2:

So is Jack Nicholas still in it? He was, he's there.

Speaker 3:

He was an honorary starter. He's there. He teed off.

Speaker 2:

He was an honorary starter. He teed off. Well, I'd tap out if Jack's not playing.

Speaker 3:

You're out, then he could barely get the tee in the ground.

Speaker 1:

So did you see? You know, traditionally, and, Chris, you know this, I don't know how much of the Masters you watch, but traditionally the Sunday hole placement on hole 16, which is the short par three, is bottom left where it trickles down. It is not there today.

Speaker 3:

Really.

Speaker 1:

I didn't hear that Because it is in the Sunday position that they had it 50 years ago when. Jack Nicklaus won, so it is bottom right which will be an interesting Can I tell you a funny story about the 16 green?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so, Mark, I don't know if you know this or not I was at the Masters this week. Yes, I did know, and at Augusta we sent. Of course we get off and we're.

Speaker 2:

Hence my travel question that you ignored.

Speaker 3:

We come in through Berkman's, right through Berkman's Place, which if you've never heard of Berkman's, definitely look it up. We sent, we had a bunch of chairs and we sent them with a guy to set them up for us, and we always set them on the 16 green which I love. It's a great spot. It is, and I love, love, love because you can watch coming in from 15, and then you watch the tee off on 17.

Speaker 1:

Tee off for 16, and you can see them on 17.

Speaker 3:

Right, but what's cool about 16 is that skip hole day.

Speaker 1:

Absolutely, and that's the most fun on Wednesday, I think the practice than actually watching the event itself.

Speaker 3:

I've been to practice rounds, I've been to tournament days, I've been to final tournament days, but I love the practice rounds and so I always go practice rounds. And we sent a guy over there and set the chairs up right. We'll leave my buddy, jeff, we just take off and we go to Berkman's and we have breakfast and we walk around and we pretty much walk the whole course. Yep, right, that's what I do when I'm there. Came time to leave. We just packed up a lift.

Speaker 1:

There could be two chairs still on 16 at the very front row because we didn't pick them up.

Speaker 3:

Wow, and I don't know Somebody else got them when I go to a golf event like that. I go there, I walk the entire course and then I pick a spot, Two things that you'll agree with this on Augusta National Number one television doesn't do it justice with the sheer beauty of it Not close.

Speaker 1:

I mean I've told you it's the first golf course Janie's spent any time on. It's that she will tell you it may be the most beautiful place she's ever been.

Speaker 3:

Now it's very, very, very similar to Juniper Hill. Very, I mean very similar Juniper Hill's our public course here in Frankfurt the other thing that TV doesn't do it justice is how up and down it is. As I was going to say, the elevation changes. You don't realize how hilly that course is, I mean it's on the side of a hill. You know what's.

Speaker 1:

I mean from the number one tee box in where 18 green is down to 12, which is where Rays Creek is in the low part. I mean it's a huge elevation. You mean Rays.

Speaker 3:

Creek, the port-a-potty.

Speaker 1:

From what I understand.

Speaker 3:

If you're an amateur, you can go wherever you want.

Speaker 1:

I mean, when you got to go, you got to go.

Speaker 2:

Did you hear about that?

Speaker 1:

No, went and peed and went and peed in Rays Creek right at 12 and 13, even though he didn't realize it. There's a bathroom at 13 T-Box Now. Did you hear what John Daly said?

Speaker 3:

No, John Daly said what you got to go, you got to go. And he said I've done much worse on Rays Creek and I'm not going to tell you what he did in the woods by Rays Creek, but it was not what you're thinking. It was worse than that.

Speaker 1:

But it really is a beautiful place.

Speaker 3:

It poured down right on Monday and of course you would think the course is still kind of swampy. When you're walking along in the gallery areas you realize you're walking on kitty litter, but it's dyed green and it blends in with the grass and you can't see it on television.

Speaker 3:

The other thing is with the azaleas. They were getting ready to bloom. You guys know I have a connection that's a member there that is in charge of the par 3 and anyhow he was telling us about this is that the azaleas were getting ready to bloom early this year and they brought in this plant expert, that they actually froze and stunted the azaleas from blooming, so they would bloom this week.

Speaker 1:

It's, it's unbelievable.

Speaker 3:

I mean think about that, and then, when the petals fall off, you'll never see them on the ground. That's that's.

Speaker 2:

It's crazy that's some joseph mangal stuff right there as far as I'm concerned you don't, you shouldn't be messing like man, I'm telling you like.

Speaker 1:

They have these things, these dryers, underneath the green so that dries them out and and they have this, um, they have this tunnel roadway under the course that it brings stuff in, so you never really see like delivery trucks or anything like that, because it's all underground.

Speaker 3:

You know what's really unique. I didn't realize. Realize this If you look at 15.

Speaker 3:

It's unbelievable Backing up to 15 in the television if it tells you where the camera placement is, just behind 15 is the Augusta Country Club. It actually butts up next to Augusta National but you will never see on their broadcast. You'll never see anything other than Augusta Period. Right, when you watch the aerial views it's only of a guy you can't see in the area around it because, quite frankly, the country club is supposed to be pretty nice but Augusta overall is not a great town.

Speaker 1:

There's nothing really there but that acreage unbelievable so.

Speaker 2:

I would imagine that the rental housing market during that week has got to be a little crazy. I know the ticket presses are crazy.

Speaker 3:

I know a group that rented a house. Rental housing market during that week has got to be a little crazy. So that's crazy. I know, I know the ticket prices are crazy. I know a group that rented a house. The particular house they rented was, um, it was an eight bedroom, eight and a half bath uh, almost 13 000 square feet, pool, hot tub. It's set on 10 acres and the zillow value of it's 5.2 million right now and they rent the house out for about $100,000 a week. Wow, yeah it's crazy.

Speaker 1:

I mean like ticket prices, no. So the cool thing about the Masters and Chris can talk about this some more too. Food prices ridiculously cheap. I've heard that Buck 50 for pimento cheese. I mean ridiculously cheap. Yeah, merchandise prices ridiculously expensive.

Speaker 3:

Logan sends me a text and says Dad, what's the most you've ever spent in a gift shop at the Masters? And I told him an exact number to the penny and he goes wow, that's pretty exact. I said, yeah, that was yesterday. Yeah, I saw a TikTok.

Speaker 1:

The merchandise is ridiculous.

Speaker 3:

A Peter Millar long sleeve t-shirt hooded pullover couple hundred bucks 229.

Speaker 1:

A peter millar golf shirt. 159 to 179.

Speaker 2:

A t-shirt's gonna run you 50 bones yeah, I mean crazy, I mean like do they have any guys outside that are you know?

Speaker 1:

done. No, no, they don't know all that stuff. No, it's ridiculous. But but food prices?

Speaker 3:

extraordinarily cheap.

Speaker 1:

You can get a bag of chips, a moon pie, a cookie and a sandwich for ten dollars so and one thing before we finish with the masters, that I didn't know about till this morning and a friend of mine texted me and told me. Big golf guy texted me wanting to know what was what I thought was going to happen today, things like that. He said he's been on his couch for three days and it's going to be on its couch for a fourth and they have a thing called the taste of the masters, okay, where you can get all the food shipped to you, yeah, yeah so you get the pimento cheese sandwiches, the egg salad sandwiches, barbecue, all that stuff.

Speaker 1:

They'll have it sit there. He said he did it this year. It's fantastic. So when it's on, he's got all the food from the master and he just sits there and watches.

Speaker 3:

That's cool. Yeah, it's neat. So one of my favorite things is the chocolate chip cookies they have and of course, I kept one of the wrappers and I brought about four cookies home and I'm looking ooh, I'm going to go on the road with a bunch of Christie's cookies Exclusively for the Masters.

Speaker 1:

Really Lock it down. Wow, they'd lock it down. So one thing I forgot to tell you about New York was some of the food.

Speaker 3:

Oh, cat's Deli. Did you like Cat's Deli? Oh, unbelievable, how long did you?

Speaker 1:

have to wait. How long did you had to wait in line about 45 minutes to get in the restaurant.

Speaker 3:

It's awesome, isn't?

Speaker 1:

it, but Janie and I split a sandwich.

Speaker 2:

She got the matzo ball soup Wow.

Speaker 1:

Because the sandwiches are huge. I mean, and you know, we got the pastrami.

Speaker 3:

All right, you've got to get the pastrami there.

Speaker 1:

You have to and we got it and you know we split it and it was. She will tell you, and I will too. It was the best meal we had there, the whole week it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I've been to carnegie deli. I've never been to cats.

Speaker 1:

I've been always wanted to to have a cat's sandwich, um uh you can order that through gold belly and things like that, you can order it from them directly too oh, great uh great Because it was on their menu that they'll ship it anywhere. But it's unbelievable.

Speaker 3:

I've been Carnegie and Katz and I will tell you that I think Katz is definitely the best.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, Carnegie's gone now you said that last time.

Speaker 1:

COVID ended it, yeah, but so you go sit. We did the sit-down service. They go and the first thing you do is you bring out this big plate of pickles and I hate pickles and Janie loves them, janie loves pickles, and so they have half sours and fulls deals I mean so, and the halves were Janie's favorite, but I mean they just chomped down on those things. And then he goes do you all want some fries to go with your sandwiches? And we're like, yeah, we'll get some. And he goes, you only need one order. Exactly. It's a plate full of fries. Wow, I mean cool, so great.

Speaker 2:

Well, diverting into food just for one second. So you mentioned egg salad and I gotta I gotta bring this up, because you're a huge deviled egg fan love, I adore love.

Speaker 1:

Some eggs. Hold on, hold on wrong.

Speaker 2:

Look, look, I love it well, this is for you then. All right, because I saw a recipe for deviled potatoes. All right, so what these are is you take old potatoes, you take the little round potatoes yeah, they're like the little red ones or something, yeah and you boil them or steam them, however you want to do them. Get them boiled, I'm okay so far. Cool them off, you slice them in half, you scoop out the potato, you put it into the you know mixing bowl.

Speaker 2:

You add the same ingredients that you would add to deviled eggs, where mayonnaise, a little mustard, some paprika I need all this little pickle relish okay, and then you pipe them back into the potatoes deviled potatoes I would eat that I would be too.

Speaker 1:

I want to try it yeah, I'm down I would definitely yeah, yeah I mean last night we got home and you know I had ate all this rich food in new york. I just had a potato. I ate a baked potato.

Speaker 3:

For dinner we had uh we had a chef come in. Actually, I just opened a new restaurant. He cooked for us on monday night and he did roasted red potatoes, but he boiled them first. And he boiled them I don't know. He said he only put in um, kosher salt and fresh garlic when he was boiling them, pulls them out, let some rest a little bit and then puts them on a um on a grill, on on aluminum foil, on the top part of the grill, so there's no charring or anything. All it did was crisp them up a little bit. Good boys, I'm gonna tell you they were phenomenal. And I don't. I asked him. I said did you know? Did you put baking soda on or something to dry them up a little bit? He goes no, he said it's just how you have to let them rest and all that. But they were a little crispy on the outside and you bit into them and you got the garlic and salt.

Speaker 2:

That's awful. Well, let me. Let me ask a question about this. This private chef, was he better than the one that you grew up with in your home? Clearly, not, clearly, not. What was? What was that guy's name?

Speaker 3:

jean-claude, I think what you said I don't know, but his beef wellington was delicious so transitioning from private chefs to little people wrestling oh my gosh People, this is straight, it's macro wrestling, that's what they call it, and it's straight out of.

Speaker 1:

Gatlinburg, big little brawlers.

Speaker 3:

Yep and we're going on Wednesday night. I'm so excited.

Speaker 1:

This is a big wrestling week, though, so we have that Wednesday night and before, the people who don't like wrestling, drop us.

Speaker 3:

Aka Michael, just hear us out.

Speaker 1:

We're talking about micro wrestling do we know, who's coming, micro one or micro two? I have no idea is there a difference?

Speaker 3:

micro Jackson is part of number two, yeah, and little big show is part of number one, I believe uh, it's gonna be painful it's gonna be fantastic it's gonna hurt me.

Speaker 2:

I, I, I fear for my safety. Uh, thinking about who's gonna be in the crowd. Um, I've got, I've got a broken ankle boys. So so those your boots, don't do you notice that.

Speaker 1:

I mean like when we go to OVW wrestling. I laugh so hard my head hurts.

Speaker 3:

Did you see it get sold?

Speaker 1:

I did see it get sold. Do you know how bad my head's going to hurt?

Speaker 3:

It's going to be worse. Seriously, is Igor going to be there? I hope Igor's there in his little green machine.

Speaker 2:

Do we do chants and things?

Speaker 3:

Yes, we have to work on some of those and things. Yes, we have to work on some of those. We need to be politically correct and choose our wording.

Speaker 1:

We've got to get a plan for that on Wednesday night.

Speaker 2:

That will prep us for what is coming this weekend. Wrestlemania is this weekend Two full days or two full evenings of wrestling action.

Speaker 1:

I'm still a little surprised they're having it on Easter Sunday.

Speaker 3:

To be honest, I'm a little surprised by little surprised. They're having it on easter sunday. To be honest, two of us I was shocked about that?

Speaker 1:

yeah, I mean, and they're having it on janie's birthday, I mean they did that on purpose, though all right that's true.

Speaker 2:

Well, the fact that she's willing to allow us to watch it in your house, on her birthday on easter sunday is pretty impressive. Um, yeah, I'm now to start each night, I have no idea, it's like probably seven or six. It's pretty early, I think, because it's well, each show's a four-hour show, yeah, and it's in also in las vegas now I will say this to our producer, rick mellon uh, rick entered a contest yesterday through mynike car care that is giving away tickets to wrestlemania let's go and he said if he wins he's definitely taking me.

Speaker 2:

I don't know how many tickets he's going to win, boys, but uh, if he wins four, I'm in.

Speaker 3:

If it's four, let's go, I've got. I've got a annual meeting on saturday morning. I'm sure they would understand if the chairman wasn't there I'm so sorry, I'm in vegas. Can you imagine that wrestlemania for my annual address? Hope everybody's doing well. I'm in WrestleMania, huge matches.

Speaker 1:

Huge matches, but there's two super matches Hulk Hogan versus.

Speaker 3:

Who do we?

Speaker 1:

think is the two matches we're going to talk about. We can talk about another one and a different one.

Speaker 2:

The first one is the triple threat match.

Speaker 1:

That's not what I was going to talk about. I was going to talk about the two title matches.

Speaker 3:

Oh, okay, then we'll talk about the triple threat match because I actually think it's the most interesting one we could talk about the tag team with Liv Morgan no.

Speaker 1:

So, let's talk about your boy, gunther the World.

Speaker 2:

Heavyweight Championship is on the line. Gunther is defending against main event.

Speaker 1:

Jey Uso Gunther's got to win. Who you got I? Got Jey Uso there's no way they're pushing him so hard they're putting him so over.

Speaker 2:

But they're putting him over. Yeah, I agree with.

Speaker 3:

Mark, they're putting him over. He's so out of shape, though right now he is terrible the whole lead up to this Two weeks ago I would have said there's no way Gunther's losing Right.

Speaker 1:

But when they did Big Jimmy, and they blooded him up, made Gunther taste his blood. I mean, had main event Jey Uso zip tied up. Yep and then last week everybody's doing the yeet except Jey Uso. He's all serious talking about Gunther's mom he's gonna beat him down apparently.

Speaker 3:

I've been watching a couple of weeks and I think, I think they put jay over.

Speaker 2:

I think so too. The only the only way that gunter wins is if there's some crazy interference that brings in another person. That would then shift this.

Speaker 1:

Would it be Big?

Speaker 2:

Jimmy, it could be, it very well could be, or it could be someone that we're not even thinking about. Ie, what about?

Speaker 3:

Bringing somebody else back, one of the old.

Speaker 2:

What about Randy Orton?

Speaker 3:

Oh, Randy Orton's back. He wrestled the other night Randy. Orton doesn't have a match, randy.

Speaker 1:

Orton doesn't have a match right now. I think they're trying to put him with Sequoia, solo Sequoia, but he doesn't have a match right now. So you're going with Jey Uso.

Speaker 3:

I'm going with Jey Uso.

Speaker 1:

So you're going with Gunther, I think yeah, all right. The next one is the Undisputed, champion.

Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

Speaker 2:

Undisputed Champion, do the championship matches. All right, cody Rhodes defending the title.

Speaker 1:

Against John. Cena you can't see me Cena With the.

Speaker 3:

Rock they play this whole angle.

Speaker 1:

If Cena wins, he's 17-time champion.

Speaker 2:

Nobody's ever done that before They'll have to bring Ric Flair back so he can win another one.

Speaker 1:

I'll go first. I think Cody Rhodes wins.

Speaker 3:

I think Cody Rhodes wins and I think it's because of interference by Ric Flair. That's how they'll bring him back in.

Speaker 1:

I think if it's anybody, it'll be.

Speaker 3:

Stone Cold, stone Cold, stone Cold, stone Cold, stone Cold.

Speaker 2:

He's already there.

Speaker 1:

He's going to be at WrestleMania. Absolutely, I'm calling that exact thing.

Speaker 2:

Cody Rhodes wins, stone Cold takes care of the Rock. John Cena goes down in his bid for 17. Do you think he gets 17 before he?

Speaker 1:

retires, I do.

Speaker 2:

I just don't think it's at WrestleMania.

Speaker 3:

I think they're giving it to him. Do they still make him a heel, or are they turning back babyface?

Speaker 2:

No, he'll go out a heel. There's no way. His last match he'll maybe turn back. I was going to say he has to.

Speaker 3:

Especially, he's the make-a-wish guy.

Speaker 1:

Now my most intriguing match is the triple threat match. Yes, because I love me some. Paul Heyman Yep. So, chris, if you haven't watched in a couple weeks, the favor that CM Punk was calling for was something that Paul Heyman told him 10 years ago that he was going to walk down the aisle with him in a main event at WrestleMania Yep. So he called him out and said that was the favor. Said it in front of seth rollins and roman reigns. Seth, who freaking rollins, gotcha okay, and roman reigns. And if you watch that clip, seth rollins, it's the funniest thing of the whole time, I mean he is busting a gut while all this is going on he's hilarious, yeah, but paul hayman turned down the tribal chief.

Speaker 1:

They're no longer together, and so I think that's the most intriguing match of the bunch.

Speaker 2:

And how are we calling it?

Speaker 1:

I am going to say that Seth Rollins is your winner because of Paul Heyman. I think the move is going to be Paul Heyman is going to push Seth Rollins over. He's needing a little pick-me-up and I think that's where he gets it from.

Speaker 2:

Okay, I can't disagree with that. I've not, but I do have a take.

Speaker 3:

Watched her on top of it. But I would also agree with that, because anytime Heyman's involved he's going to get whatever he wants. Paul Heyman's awesome.

Speaker 1:

What did he say at the Hall of Fame induction?

Speaker 3:

I can't remember what he said. I can't exactly remember.

Speaker 1:

I loved him in ECW.

Speaker 3:

He's amazing. His hair was better in ECW.

Speaker 1:

Yes, Are you going with Seth Rollins? I loved him in ECW.

Speaker 3:

I love him. He's amazing.

Speaker 1:

His hair was better in ECW, yes, so what's your so?

Speaker 2:

are you going with Seth Rollins so?

Speaker 1:

so, um, chris, are you going with Seth Seth Rollins? Yeah, seth freaking Rollins, All right.

Speaker 2:

So I'm going to veer just a little bit here and I'm going to call it for CM punk. Well, well, while not disagreeing, that Heyman swerves takes over, you know, seth Rollins, right? I think that's a really good thing. That could happen, sure, but I think something's going to happen In addition, on CM Punk side, with some type of interference, and I think CM Punk wins the match.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, All right, none of us picked Roman Reigns. Nope wins the match. Yeah, all right, none of us picked Roman Reigns.

Speaker 2:

Nope, it's interesting. Yeah, and look, he's the man.

Speaker 1:

Roman.

Speaker 2:

Reigns is the meter.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, he's incredible, but he doesn't need that push or any of that kind of stuff.

Speaker 1:

No, and he's not there full time, right, he's been dealing with a lot of health issues.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, speaking of health issues.

Speaker 1:

Kevin Owens that's a big loss.

Speaker 3:

What happened to him?

Speaker 1:

He's got a neck injury. They don't expect him to be back until maybe 2026. Oh, wow, that's not good he was supposed to wrestle Randy Orton at WrestleMania but he's got a legitimate neck injury, Wow.

Speaker 2:

But he's awesome and those fans were giving him the they were giving him the business when he come out.

Speaker 1:

And he was legit Like I'm hurt I'm, and he was walking out and they were like you're calling him everything but a white man. Yep.

Speaker 3:

Kind of like when Seth Rollins popped out Ray Mysterio's eyeball, seth freaking Rollins.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Do y'all see that?

Speaker 1:

No.

Speaker 2:

I see that. No, you need to watch that. I mean they're calling the match and he goes over and he starts yakking beside the stage because he saw his eye hanging out. Seth rollins is awesome. That guy can. Can we add one more fun one into this? Who wins between the 50, whatever year old, ray mysterio versus el grande americano?

Speaker 3:

is that the guy that does roofing down there?

Speaker 1:

He moved up from OVW Exactly.

Speaker 2:

If you haven't watched El Grande Americano. Is Chad Gable, no question about it Wearing a mask and he is imitating a Lucha Libre guy Nacho Libre.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

And so he is El Grande Americano.

Speaker 1:

It's terrible.

Speaker 2:

He's wearing the red, white and blue thing. It's terrible. Oh, he's wearing the red white and blue thing.

Speaker 1:

It's terrible. It's terrible. Is he like?

Speaker 3:

Super Z.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, oh, speaking of which there's a bad Z now, so you missed out on that.

Speaker 2:

We didn't even mention the other match for the Intercontinental Championship. Right Yep Brawnbreaker? Oh, that guy's a beast versus uh, oh, uh, oh, doggone it. What's the guy's name? Uh, mysterio, uh, the little the younger one. Uh, dirty dom, dirty dom versus penta yeah versus carlito.

Speaker 1:

Is he in it? Also, or whatever yeah, so it's a four-way title match.

Speaker 3:

Wow.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Who's got the tag team right now?

Speaker 2:

See, that's the sad thing right there. That's the sad thing about tag team wrestling right now in the WWE.

Speaker 1:

Nobody cares.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, they got to put the Usos back together. That's the only thing that can save them. Well then, jimmy has got to win. Yep, yep.

Speaker 1:

Yep. So I mean, there's a couple other good matches we didn't even talk about. Oh yeah, like uh, like uh, my boy, la knight he's defending the title against um, oh, what's that dude's? Name uh, jacob fought too, is that?

Speaker 2:

yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yep um uh, nick paul is his name Nick Paul. Nick Paul is the third line center for the Lightning. Logan Paul against AJ Styles.

Speaker 1:

I'll tell you what Logan Paul he's athletic.

Speaker 3:

He's got one of the best frog splashes I've seen in a long time.

Speaker 1:

So big wrestling weekend.

Speaker 3:

What's Pat McAfee going to wear? Not?

Speaker 2:

shorts. It's Wrestlemania. Heee going to wear Not shorts. It's WrestleMania.

Speaker 3:

He wore shorts to WrestleMania one time he cut off T-shirts, dude is awesome.

Speaker 2:

He wore shorts to WrestleMania one time. Michael Cole chewed him out and he left. He was like I'm not calling the matches. Then he left. Love that guy. I like Pat McAfee. He is his own man. So fun fact about WrestleMania. Who? Fun fact about wrestlemania? Who was what? Maybe it may not be the the best fun fact, but who has the one of the longest losing streaks of a celebrity at?

Speaker 3:

rose and, and who did he?

Speaker 1:

always lose to it's cane, so so I know people are interested in where we stand on our bet.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

If you remember, we have a bet on who's going to win more games this year between the Reds and the Cubs. Baseball's up and going now. Yep Opening day was amazing, by the way. As we currently sit, the Reds have won seven games. As we currently sit, the Cubs have won ten.

Speaker 2:

How many losses for each team? Just curious.

Speaker 1:

The Reds have eight losses. The Cubs have seven. Two game difference. Yeah, there's a two game difference. Cubs are 10 and seven, the Reds are seven and eight.

Speaker 2:

Okay, but the Reds have won four or five. So, after a very tough start to the year, who did they play? They coming on? Who did they play they coming on? Are we not talking about who they played?

Speaker 1:

Who.

Speaker 2:

Hold on a second. The Reds are in Cincinnati, which is.

Speaker 1:

South of Lima.

Speaker 3:

Speaking of which, at Mom's thing, one of my buddies comes up and says Will you please tell the Lima story?

Speaker 1:

again.

Speaker 3:

And I told him to go back to episode number two, which is where we tell the Lima story.

Speaker 2:

Correct. Yeah, now is that chronologically too, or is that the second one we ever recorded? I don't know, I can't remember that.

Speaker 3:

I can't remember the date either. Well, they'll find it Was under the original name.
