OK… Let’s Go!
One day, three little kids named Ellie, oisin and Tess were all in their beds Now. They were trying to sleep, but they could hear a noise Ooyah, oh, sneaking, sneaking, oh, yee-oh. What is that? Said Ellie. It's not me, said Oisin. Not me, said Tess. Not me, said another voice. What I heard that? Hang on.
Speaker 1:Ellie jumped out of bed and raced over towards the light switch. As she turned it on, they looked around the room and there, pressed against the wall, was a tiger in a ninja mask. Um, excuse me, mr Tiger, said O'Sheen, you can't see me, I'm hiding. Um, we can see you, said Ellie. Oh well, my name's Tiger Pal. Hi, tiger Pal. Said the kids. What are you doing in our bedroom?
Speaker 1:Well, I've been trying to be a superhero for a long time and it's been pretty tricky. So I've decided maybe I'll try being a ninja for today. A ninja, said the kids. Yeah, that could be fun, couldn't it? What do you reckon? Um, it sounds like a bit of fun.
Speaker 1:How have you been learning to become a ninja? Well, I haven't really been learning properly. I kind of just watched some TV and then decided to try and copy what they do. Do you want to see my ninja moves? Said the tiger. Um sure, said the kids. So Tiger Power started to see my ninja moves, said the tiger. Um sure, said the kids. So Tiger Power started to do his ninja moves. Watch this one. All right, I'm going to do a flip. The kids all laughed Um, tiger Power, I think you might need to do some more practicing. Yeah, I think so too. Maybe there's some place that we can go do some learning. Hey, do you want to come with me? Um, really, said the kids. Really said Tiger Pal, we better just check with our mum.
Speaker 1:So the kids went and knocked on their mum's bedroom door. Um, mum, do you mind if we go learn to be ninjas with a tiger named Tiger Pal? Yeah, that's fine, said their mum. Have fun. Okay, said the kids, and they raced back in. Um, she said yes, hooray, said tiger pal. All right, come on, let's go. We gotta jump out the window, though, like ninjas. Watch this one. Tiger pal walked over to the window and jumped out. He said as he fell to the ground maybe don't do that, that hurt a little bit. All right, so the kids will go to the door.
Speaker 1:So the kids went down the stairs and opened up the door and walked outside. Tiger Power was there waiting. All right, kids, it's time for us to go on our very special ninja adventure. Come with me. He started running off down the street. But, tiger Power, how are we going to get to the very special place to learn to be a ninja? Well, as I was running here, I actually noticed that there was a ninja training dojo just a few doors up. Oh really, said the kids. How very convenient.
Speaker 1:As the kids followed Tiger Power down the street, all of a sudden they could see the amazing looking dojo. Um, this wasn't here before, said Ellie. Yes, said Tess. I've never seen this Me either, said O'Sheen. But it's very cool.
Speaker 1:Do you think they'll let us inside? They have to, because we're going to sneak inside like ninjas, said Tiger Power. Um, okay, said the kids. They started to follow Tiger Power. You've got to creep like this up on your toes. Tiger Power was standing on his toes, trying to run as quickly as he could. Doom, doom, doom, doom, doom, doom, doom, doom.
Speaker 1:Tiger Power, you're not being very quiet, said O'Sheen. Oh, yeah, I was trying to play my new theme song. You have a theme song. Trying to play my new theme song. You have a theme song? Well, no, but I'm trying to make one up. I think you might need to be more quiet, said Ellie, or else we're going to get who is standing at the front of my door? Oh, said Tiger Pal. I don't know who that was.
Speaker 1:The kids looked around. They couldn't see anyone anywhere. I can see you all. The kids looked around. I still can't see anything. That's because I am above you, said the voice.
Speaker 1:The kids looked up and flying over the top of them was a dragon. Wow, they said we're in trouble, let's get out of here. No, stop, wait, said the dragon, as he flew circles around them and slowly flew down to the ground. I have brought this dojo to you for this very special reason. You brought the dojo to us. That explains why it wasn't there before, said Ellie, yes, I have been sent to train you into amazing ninjas, said the dragon. Oh, yes, hooray, said Tiger Power. The kids were very excited as well. Do you think that you are ready to pass the tests? I hope so, said Tiger Power. Us too, said the kids. I'm ready, said Tess, I've been ready since I was born. Yes, you have, said the dragon.
Speaker 1:It is time to begin your training. The first thing that you must do is karate, chop the tree, said Tiger Power as he raced over to the nearest tree and tried to karate chop it. Oh, ouch my head. He said no, don't karate, chop the tree. Come inside, said the dragon, as he flew down and inside the window, the kids followed in. When they got inside, he was standing on one foot with his wings spread very, very wide.
Speaker 1:First you must learn balance, said the dragon. I can balance. Watch this, said Tiger Power as he went to stand on one foot. He kind of stood on one foot and and then, uh-oh, ah, he fell over to the side. Did you see me? That was at least four and a half minutes. That was not even four and a half seconds, said the dragon. Oh, said Tiger Pal, I will show you. Kids, follow me.
Speaker 1:The kids watched and the dragon showed them how to crouch down very low. They crouched as low as they could and then, as they stood up, they stood very, very tall. Now, slowly shift your weight onto one leg. They slowly shifted their weight. I'm balancing, I'm balancing too, said O'Sheen. Me three, said Ellie. They looked across and there was Tess balancing On one finger. Tess, how are you doing that? We have a gifted ninja, said the dragon. Ha ha, I can do that too, said Tiger Pal, watch me. He tried to turn around and tried to do a handstand, but as he did, uh oh Ouch, you need to stop trying to do the extra things. That's who I am. I'm always doing the extra things. Do you want to see me fly? No, not yet, said the dragon. Okay, said Tiger Pal. The kids laughed.
Speaker 1:Now that you have learned to balance, next you need to learn to jump. I can jump, I'm sure you can, but I want to see the kids jumping, said the dragon. Okay, show me. Watch this, said Ellie, as she stood and jumped as high as she could. You're not using your secret power. Secret power, said Ellie. I don't have secret power. Um, oh, I haven't given it to you yet, I forgot, said the dragon. Can I have some of that secret power too? Not yet, said the dragon.
Speaker 1:The kids looked at the dragon as he started to breathe out a little bit of fire. He breathed out a tiny little flame and the flame went around the outside. And then, what do we do with it? Said Ellie, open your mouth, said the dragon. Really, said Ellie. She opened her mouth and I just swallowed fire. She said Now jump, said the dragon as Ellie jumped. Wow, where did she go? Said Oisin. She has learned to jump with dragon power. Wow, said Oisin, can I have a turn? Of course, said the dragon. He puffed out another little flame that went around the kids and, oh, my tummy feels warm. O'sheen jumped way up into the sky as well.
Speaker 1:The dragon looked across. Your turn, tess. Tess opened her mouth and the dragon puffed out another little flame. See you later, said Tess, and she was gone.
Speaker 1:My turn, my turn, my turn, said Tiger Power. Okay, said the dragon. He giggled to himself a little bit. Why did you giggle? Oh, no reason. He puffed out another little flame. It looked a little bit different to the others, but Tiger Power didn't notice. He was too excited. Ah, oh, that's sour. Yes, now try and jump, said the dragon. Okay, said Tiger Power. One, two, three. I can't get off the ground. One, two, three. He was completely stuck to the ground. Ha ha, ha, ha, ha ha ha, said the dragon laughing to himself. You tricked me. Yes, I did. It was very funny. Okay, open up. Tiger Pau opened his mouth once more. The dragon puffed out a different flame. This one looked right. Here we go, and Tiger Pau was gone too.
Speaker 1:When he got as high as he possibly could, he saw the kids floating in the air. We can fly, said Tiger Power. Hooray, yelled Ellie. Look at Tess. Tess was doing backflip after backflip and spinning around in circles. That is amazing. Yes, she is very talented. All right, it is time to learn how to do flips and spins.
Speaker 1:The kids looked at the dragon. Okay, throw all of your weight to one side and see what happens. So the kids threw their weight to one side. I did a flip, said Ellie. Me too, said O'Sheen. My turn, said Tiger Pau.
Speaker 1:Tiger Pau threw too much of his weight to the side and he got caught in a spin. Help, he said as he spun around and around and around. O'sheen raced over and grabbed him by the tail. Yow, said Tiger Pal, as the tail stopped him from spinning. Oh thanks, o'sheen. I thought I was in big trouble. You will be in big trouble if you keep acting like this. Oh, I can't help it. It's too exciting being a ninja. Look, I'm flying. Wow, wow, said tiger pal as he zoomed around through the sky. The kids laughed.
Speaker 1:Okay, now try the backwards flip, said the dragon. I guess we throw our weight backwards, said ellie. Correct, said the dragon. So ellie and o'sheen and tess threw their weight backwards and did a beautiful backflip. All right, a little bit less power this time, said Tiger Power. Ha, ha, ha, ha, woo, he didn't actually flip. Oh, that wasn't enough, pal. All right, a bit more.
Speaker 1:Tiger Power started flipping backwards, over and over and over and over and over again. This time Ellie raced across and grabbed Tiger Power in a big cuddle. Oh thanks, ellie, I'm feeling a bit dizzy from all the spinning. I think you kids are ready. Ready for what, said Ellie, ready to see if you can do the ninja sneaking? Hooray, said the kids. Hooray, said Tiger Pal, let's do it. But where are we sneaking? Let's sneak into the kids' parents' room and surprise them. Oh, that'll be fun, said O'Sheen.
Speaker 1:So they all flew down to the ground and walked back over to the kids' house. They all flew down to the ground and walked back over to the kids' house. They snuck in through the front door. Dum-da-dum-dum-dum-da-dum-dum. What are you doing, said the dragon. It's my theme song. You can't do a theme song while you're sneaking. Oh okay, said Tiger Power.
Speaker 1:The kids and Tiger Power snuck up the stairs. Now we need to be super quiet. Use the secret flying jump, but only a little bit. Okay, said the kids. So they did a super secret, tiny flying jump until their feet were just off the ground. My turn, said Tiger Pal. Tiger Pal jumped too powerfully and smashed straight through the roof of the house. Oh dear, said Ellie. Yeah, said O'Sheen. I hope our parents didn't hear. The dragon stuck his head in the room. No, they're still sleeping. Okay, let's all sneak in.
Speaker 1:So the three kids and the dragon all snuck into their parents' room and as they hovered around the outside of their bed, the dragon counted One, two, three. Surprise, yelled the kids. Wah, said their parents as they looked around. Kids, why are you flying around our bedroom? And why did a tiger just crash through our roof? Well, said Ellie, I don't think you'd believe me, oh, even if we told you. And that is the end of the story. This episode is brought to you by Dragon Dojo Ninja Lessons.
