Speaker 2:

One day, two kids named Ollie and Charlie were at home. Now, they were playing some games, but they'd been told that it was almost time to pack up. Oh, I wish we had more time, said Charlie. Yeah, said Ollie, I wish we could play for a bit longer. Just then, they heard a voice. Well, if you want to play for a little bit longer, I've got and a little bit of an idea. Who who said that? said the kids. They looked around their room and all of a sudden they realised, hey, that's not our teddy bear. No, I am not your teddy bear, said the teddy bear. Whoa, it it can talk. Of course I can talk. Who who are you? said Ollie. My name's Teddy Winkle! Hello! Um, hi, said Charlie. Um excuse me, Teddy Winkle, what are you doing in our bedroom? Well, that is a great question, but the answer is quite confusing. Why is it confusing? said Ollie. Because I can't actually remember how I got here, but that's beside the point. But you said that we might be able to have some more playtime. How are we gonna do that? Well, see this? said Teddywinkle, holding up a funny looking watch. Um, what's that? said Ollie. It seems to slow down time. What do you mean seems to? said Charlie. Well, I haven't played with it that much, but I think that's how I might have got here so quickly without realizing how I got here. Well, how does it work? said Ollie. Um, I think hang on, come here. Teddywinkle walked over to where the boys were and the boys walked over to him, and they all held hands and then Teddywinkle started turning the dial on his watch. When he did, all of a sudden, the kids realized everything seemed to be slowing down. The clock that had been ticking in their room was now not ticking. I think we can start moving now, said Teddywinkle. Okay, said the boys. So they started walking around the room, and they walked into the kitchen where their dad was waiting. But he was not moving at all. Teddywinkle, said Ollie, I think I think we've stopped time. I think so too. Ha ha! This is amazing! The boys walked over to their dad. Hey, maybe we can play a little trick on him before we keep moving? Good idea. Ha, that'd be funny. What are we gonna do? Um they looked. Their dad was making toast at the time, so Ollie got a little bit of the butter from his toast and popped it on his nose. Ha ha, good one! Then they kept running. Alright, how long's this time gonna last for? said Charlie. Um, I dunno, said Teddywinkle. Ah, we'll just have to see. As they were running, they could hear Teddywinkle's watch starting to tick. Uh oh, said Teddywinkle. As it started to tick, time started to speed up. They walked out of the door to where the kitchen was and into the next room, and they could hear their dad in the other room. Hey, how did I get butter on my nose? The kids started laughing, and Teddywinkle was laughing too. Who's laughing out there? said their dad. Quick, let's keep going. Turn the watch again, said Ollie. Yeah, do it, said Charlie. Okay, said Teddywinkle. They held hands and twisted the watch once more, and time slowed down. This time they raced outside. They could see there were cars stopped at the front of their house, but they looked like they had been going fast. This is so much fun, said the boys. I wonder what else we can do. Um, let's see if we can run really, really, really fast. So they sprinted as quickly as they could to see how quick they could go. They raced past the car and all the way down the street. This is so much fun. When's the time gonna start again? Teddywinkle looked at his watch. It's not ticking yet. Uh-oh, it's ticking! As they were running, the watch started to tick and they could see the car behind them starting to move. Ha! That was so much fun! As they were all running, looking back at the car that was now starting to drive again, they crashed into somebody. Or actually, two somebodies.

unknown:

Pfft.

Speaker 2:

Hoy, who did that? The kids turned around, and standing in front of them were two chimpanzees. Uh-oh, said Teddywinkle. Why, uh-oh, said Ollie. Those are the chimp brothers. Yeah, we're the chimp brothers. And why'd you run into us? Um, sorry, said Charlie. We we weren't looking where we were going.

Speaker:

Well, you're about to not be looking where you're about to go either. Let's see how far we can throw 'em, bro. No, don't throw us. Yeah, we're gonna throw you over that house right there. That'd be funny.

Speaker 2:

Actually, now let's throw them up in a tree. Let's get 'em! As the chimp brothers were about to grab the kids, Teddywinkle turned his watch once more. Time stopped. They could see the chimp brothers with the looks on their faces of I'm about to get you. But they weren't moving. They were frozen in time. I've got an idea, said Teddywinkle. What is it? said Ollie. Yeah, said Charlie. What is it? I think we should just run away. Nah, let's uh let's play a trick on the chimp brothers first. What? said the boys. Yeah, let's do it. Hey, uh, maybe we could swap their t-shirts and swap their hats, and then they might be confused. That would be funny, said the boys. So they quickly grabbed the chimp brothers' hats and they swapped them over. And they grabbed their t-shirts too and swapped them as well. Now both chimps were in the wrong colour t-shirt and the wrong colour hat. And then I've got an idea, said Ollie. What is it? said Teddywinkle. Well, maybe let's make it look like they're dancing. Ha ha, good idea! So the boys and Teddywinkle grabbed the chimp brothers and moved them together and made it look like they were doing ballroom dancing together. Then they went and hid in the bushes nearby. As Teddywinkle's watch started to tick again, they could see the chimp brothers starting to move.

Speaker:

We're gonna get oh hey, bro, why are you wearing my t-shirt? Bro, why are you wearing my t-shirt? And why are you dancing with me? I'm not dancing with you, you're dancing with me. No, you're wearing my t-shirt and trying to dance with me. I'm gonna get you. No, I'm gonna get you!

Speaker 2:

Ah The Chimp brothers started tackling and rolling around on the ground. It was very funny. The kids started laughing and Teddy Winkle was laughing too. Then they decided they best run away. So they ran off down the street in a different direction while the chimp brothers weren't looking. Hang on, I know where we are, said Teddywinkle. What? Where are we? said Ollie. Yeah, said Charlie. Where where are we? We're just around the corner from Pimpim's house. Really? said the boys. Really? said Teddywinkle. Um, would it be okay if we went to his house and played lots of tricks on him? Um sure, said the boys. That sounds like fun. Yeah, let's go get him, said Ollie. Ah, okay, well, it's just around this corner, said Teddywinkle. So they turned the corner, and when they got around, they were very, very close to Pimpim's house. They snuck up to the window to Pimpim's bedroom and they looked inside. There was Pimpim, playing with toy cars, driving them around in circles. It was quite funny to watch because he didn't play with toy cars the normal way that other people play with toy cars. He was holding them upside down, and then he was spinning them around in circles and trying to see if he could spin them fast enough that they would turn into helicopters. It was quite strange to watch. The boys found themselves quite mesmerized just watching Pimpim play for a little while. Alright, said Teddywinkle. Are you guys ready to play some tricks? Um, what are we going to do? said the boys. Well, there's another thing I've got as well. Pimpim held out a little tube of What is that? said Ollie. It's a very special glue, said Teddywinkle. What does it do? said Charlie. Well, why don't we stop time and I'll show you, said Teddywinkle. Okay, said the boys. So they held hands and Teddywinkle twisted his watch. Time stopped, and they jumped through the window into Pimpim's bedroom. Alright, we gotta be quick. I twisted it as far as I could to give us as much time as possible. But what does the glue do? said Ollie. Teddywinkle grabbed one of Pimpim's toys, put a little bit of glue on it, and then threw it, and ph it stuck to the roof. What? said the boys. We're gonna stick all these toys to the roof. Yeah, but don't worry, it's a special glue that makes them only stick there for a little while, and then they will come back down. Oh, that sounds amazing, said Charlie. Alright, quick, let's go! So the boys and Teddywinkle made a little production line. They were sticking little bits of glue on all the toys and throwing them on the roof. Then they decided to lift Pimpim's bed up and stick it to the roof and everything in Pimpim's room. I think my watch is starting to tick, said Teddywinkle. Quick hide! The boys and Teddywinkle dove out the window just as Pimpim started to move again. And I what just happened to my Everything is gone!

Speaker 1:

Uh somebody took all my things, said Pimpim. He looked around and then he looked up. Who stuck everything to my ceiling? Did I do that? I don't think so. Um, maybe? I'm very, very confused.

Speaker 2:

Just then Pimpim's mum walked into his bedroom. Pimpim! You need to clean your Where's all your things? Um, said Pimpim.

Speaker 1:

Then his mummy looked up. Pimpim, did you stick everything to the roof again? I didn't do it this time. I don't think so. It wasn't me, said Pimpim. Oh, Pimpim, you need to clean your room right now. I want everything back the way that it was meant to be. Oh dear, said Pimpim. I don't think it was just then, Teddy Winkle popped his head up in the window. Haha, tricked you, said Teddy Winkle. Teddy Winkle. Ah yeah, that was us. Haha, it was pretty funny, wasn't it? Teddy Winkle, did you do this? Um yes, I did. That's pretty funny, said Pimpim's Mummy. What? When I did it you said that it was very, very cheeky, and when Teddywinkle does it, you think it is funny. Um well, it was pretty funny the first time.

Speaker 2:

I just didn't want you to do it again, said Pimpim's Mummy. Don't worry, said Ollie and Charlie. It'll all come back down very soon. Okay, well, in the meantime, I need a bit more of that glue. What? said Teddywinkle. Pimpim took the glue off Teddywinkle and put a little bit on his foot, and then he started trying to walk up the walls until he was on the ceiling as well. I'm gonna play on the ceiling now with all my toys. Hooray! said Pimpim. Now, Pimpim, said his mummy. Alright, boys, we better get you back home. Yeah, said Ollie. We better race back home as quick as we can. So Teddywinkle and the boys raced all the way back to their house. Bye, Pimpim! They yelled as they ran away. But Pimpim was far too distracted, playing with everything upside down. It was a very fun day for him. As the boys got back home, they walked in the front door, and their dad was standing there, still with butter on his nose. Um, boys, he said, do you know how I got butter on my nose? Well, said Ollie, I don't think you'd believe us, even if we told you. And that is the end of the story.
