Where Did Jesus Go? - Sermon 20th April, 2025

La Jolla Presbyterian Church

This Easter, Pastor Paul Cunningham takes us into the powerful, mysterious ending of Mark's Gospel. As the women arrive at the tomb expecting to find Jesus' body, they're met instead with an empty tomb and a message that changes everything: "He has risen; He is not here." In this message, "Where Did Jesus Go?", we'll explore how the absence of Jesus' body isn't a sign of loss but the beginning of hope. Though the women leave the tomb in fear and amazement, the resurrection story is far from over; it's just beginning. Pastor Paul will help us reflect on how Jesus' resurrection invites us to trust even when we don't fully see or understand. Where did Jesus go? He went ahead of us into our unknowns, fears, and futures. Even when we don't see Him, He's already at work, calling us to follow him. You may be full of faith or holding questions this Easter, but hear the good news: Jesus is alive, and He goes before you!

We want to connect with you! Email Pastor Chad at chadf@ljpres.org to get plugged in or you can find our website at ljpres.org/connect. We hope to see lives transformed by a relationship with Jesus, and we strive to be a place where you experience and are able to express that transforming love of Christ.

It builds our faith to help give back a portion of what God has given us. If you would like to help further His work in La Jolla, San Diego and the world you can give online at LJPres.org/Donate
