Waiting for Clarity - Sermon 24th August, 2025

La Jolla Presbyterian Church

Have you ever found yourself waiting for direction, longing for God to make the next step clear? This Sunday, Pastor Paul will preach a sermon titled “Waiting for Clarity,” based on Exodus 3:1–14, as we continue our series CALLED. In this passage, Moses meets God in the burning bush, uncertain of what lies ahead, yet reminded that God’s presence is enough: “I will be with you.”

Throughout Scripture, God calls people to trust Him even in moments of uncertainty. Jesus, too, called His followers, often in the middle of confusion or doubt, to step forward in faith. God’s call rarely fits our timelines, but it always leads us into deeper trust, greater purpose, and a life woven into His greater story. Join us this week as we explore what it means to be CALLED, even when clarity comes slowly!

Sermon Questions:
1. Do you need to increase your level of curiosity?
2. What situation in your life do you need to entrust to God so you can find rest?

We want to connect with you! Email Pastor Chad at chadf@ljpres.org to get plugged in, or you can find our website at ljpres.org/connect. We hope to see lives transformed by a relationship with Jesus, and we strive to be a place where you experience and are able to express that transforming love of Christ.

It builds our faith to help give back a portion of what God has given us. If you would like to help further His work in La Jolla, San Diego and the world you can give online at LJPres.org/Donate.
