La Jolla Presbyterian Church Sermons
We want to see lives transformed through a relationship with Jesus. One way we witness that is by sharing God’s Story and equipping you to share His story as well.
We strive for sermons and teaching that is informative, applicable, inviting, and transformative.
Sunday morning messages, plus other Bible studies, classes, and special events. We are a welcoming, Bible based, Christian Church, and would love to worship with you.

What does it look like to truly change? This Sunday, we begin a new sermon series, “Keeping in Step with the Spirit,” exploring the Fruit of the Spirit and the kind of life God is growing in us. Rev. Dr. Mike McClenahan, retired pastor from Solana Beach Presbyterian Church, kicks off the series with a message titled “The Journey of Transformation.” In Galatians 5, Paul contrasts life led by our own desires with a life shaped by the Spirit. This passage invites us into an ongoing journey—not of self-improvement, but of transformation—as God forms love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control within us. Join us as we begin this series and consider what it means to walk closely with the Spirit and become people who reflect the character of Christ.
We want to connect with you! Email Pastor Chad at chadf@ljpres.org to get plugged in, or you can find our website at ljpres.org/connect. We hope to see lives transformed by a relationship with Jesus, and we strive to be a place where you experience and are able to express that transforming love of Christ.
It builds our faith to help give back a portion of what God has given us. If you would like to help further His work in La Jolla, San Diego and the world you can give online at LJPres.org/Donate. La Jolla Pres holds a CCLI License to live stream and archive all musical material.
