Ready or not, you’ve made it through the last 9 year cycle. We invite you to breathe into that truth, drop into your body, and walk a guided path through the arc from 2016 to 2025—closing loops, blessings, lessons, and letting desire shape a brighter 2026 with our guest Alee Reina Hoffman.
We move year by year turning memory into medicine. 2016 receives a hug for the brave beginner. 2017 becomes a scene watched with wisdom and compassion. 2018 asks which thoughts still serve. 2019’s gentle nudge at your back reorients you. In 2020, unseen support is revealed and thanked. 2021’s shadows lift as withheld truths take flight. 2022 celebrates a tiny yet pivotal moment returned to the heart. 2023 completes a dance with a partner, honoring what you learned and releasing the steps that no longer fit. 2024 opens the spine to possibility and grants permission to be bigger. 2025 sheds old skins that turn to stardust, lighting a path ahead.

Welcome to Desire is Medicine. We are two very different women living a life led by desire, inviting you into our world. I'm Brenda.
SPEAKER_01I'm a devoted practitioner to being my fully expressed true self in my daily life, motherhood, relationships, and my business. SPEAKER_01Welcome back, listeners and friends, to the Desire as Medicine podcast. Thank you so much for listening. We have a treat for you today. Today is a full box episode. If you've been listening along, you know that those are many episodes that help you play with desire. And we had on last week a dear friend of mine, and we really got into the wind of closing the collective cycle. And we are so helpful and even your cycle. Thank you.

Return, Gratitude, And Closing
SPEAKER_02Thank you. So we'll just take a couple breaths here. And first if you're listening, just really giving yourself permission to have this. So if there's a way your body could be a little more comfortable, if you could give yourself a little more space and actually just drop in. Whatever we revisit and whatever you close up in this meditation, it doesn't change the truth that you got through it, that you're not going backwards. You're just going to receive what's been waiting for you, but you're not going backwards. You're here now. We're going to take a couple more breaths that way, breathing in the truth that you made it, that you're here, that whatever this nine-year arc required of you, that you actually were able to do it. And we're just going to start that way. Take a few more breaths that way, just feeling the truth that you're here. And you already did it. And as you breathe in, just breathing in the energy of being present and being where you actually are in your life, right here. Breathing it in. Exhaling out, letting go of something that you still treat as here, even though it's done. Take a couple more breaths that way. You're breathing in the energy of the present, the present moment. Just hold. And as you exhale out, you're going to let something go that actually already happened. We're going to take a couple more breaths that way. And as you continue to breathe, staying connected to the present moment, you are going to let yourself relax into going back through the years to receive something that already happened and is waiting for you. So as you breathe in, you stay connected to who you are now and where you are now. And as you exhale out, you feel yourself gently moving into this experience of receiving, receiving what you created through this amazing cycle. And so you're just going to let yourself gently relax, dropping one layer deeper into your body. And maybe putting your hands down now or on your lap or on the ground, and you're going to picture that your hands are touching 2016. And you're just going to take a couple breaths here and feel what the energy of 2016 feels like. Maybe there's a color, a memory, a word. Whatever is happening is exactly right. Maybe it's just a sensation. And as we sit for this moment with 2016, you're just going to connect with the courageous version of you that had probably no idea where this cycle was going to take all of us. And yet there you were at the starting line, saying yes to this adventure, to this arc, to this intense journey. Maybe without even knowing what you were quite saying yes to. And you might want to imagine here or visualize just giving that courageous version of you a big hug because you know what they are signing up for. You know what they are saying yes to. And any other feelings you're feeling. And with the next breath, you're just going to breathe in that image. The images are frequencies. So you're just going to breathe in the image of hugging 2016 you. Anything you want to whisper, anything you want them to know, her to know. And then you're going to thank that version of you for their bravery. And you're going to let the year go. You're going to let that version of you be in that year, and you're here. You've embraced that version, and now you're back here. Taking a few breaths to be in your heart and your belly. And now you're going to feel yourself stepping like as if your feet, maybe putting some awareness on your feet. And it's like your feet are stepping into 2017. And you're just going to feel the sensation of 2017, this time coming through your feet and through your body. And you're going to invite yourself to show this you right here, just a scene, a random scene from 2017, a moment of time in that year. And whatever you're seeing is right. Maybe it's a memory you think about often. Maybe it's something you didn't think about until this moment. And you're just going to let yourself see it with the knowing that whatever you're seeing right now already worked out. And so if you're seeing something that you know already worked out, it all got figured out, what it was going to be is what it was, what does that give you space for? Maybe compassion or forgiveness or some like you know, love and nostalgia for that moment. Let yourself see something with the eyes of wisdom, of knowing how it works out, and let yourself have a new layer of appreciation, acceptance, and gratitude for what you're seeing in 2017. And once you've received that, breathing that in, as you exhale out, you're just going to send a blessing to anyone and everyone who's in the scene, who's in this memory, yourself and anyone else in this interaction. You just send a blessing as someone who is no longer participating. You're now just a witness to this memory, and you just bless it and you let it go. You suddenly realize that this image, this memory is further and further away, and it's where it's supposed to be, and you're here, and you let it go. And now we're moving into 2018. And it's like a warm sunshine, letting the energy of uh 2018 kind of like rain down on your head, putting some awareness on the head, on the crown. And you're just going to let something you used to think about a lot in 2018 feel active. Maybe a certain thought, a certain belief. You're just gonna let it come up in your brain, and you're just gonna spend a few moments here. And maybe this is something you still think and believe, or worry about, or enjoy, and maybe it's something that's really from 2018. And so you're just going to take a moment here, and whatever it is that came up as a thought, something that was in your brain a lot at that age at that time, that year, you're just going to notice what still feels right to keep in your brain and what is no longer part of your thinking process. And you're just going to say farewell to the part that is no longer the way you think or believe. And as you breathe in, you breathe in what is still true, feeling it in your mind and your brain, supporting your vision and your thoughts and your wisdom. And as you exhale out, you just let go of something you no longer want to think or believe from 2018, and you let it be where it is because you're here now. And now you're going one layer up, now you're in 2019. And you're just feeling the energy of 2019 at your back or your shoulder blades because there's a way 2019 started to gently nudge you in a new direction. And so you're going to let yourself connect with that gentle nudge of 2019, the way 2019 turned you into a different direction. And you're just going to take a few breaths to be with that year. Something that was a big part of your direction that year. Something that created a direction for you that year. And you're going to notice how far you've come. How much farther ahead you are from that initial direction of 2019. And that you actually don't have to come back here again. And maybe there's some grief, or maybe that feels like a relief. But picturing yourself blessing the ground of 2019, thanking it for the direction it set you on, and realizing you've you're much further ahead now and you actually don't need to come back. And 2019 can stay where it is because you are here. And now you're going to feel yourself wandering towards 2020. And you're going to feel all the support you actually had in 2020. Some of it may have felt invisible. And I'm just seeing so many guides, guardians, whatever your practice is, there is just so much support from the spirit realm for this massive transformation of 2020. And so inviting you to just see yourself walking into 2020, and this time knowing what you know, seeing the gauntlet of support, of wisdom, of resources that actually came with you into that year. And now taking this moment to just thank whatever you want to thank about that year. Express gratitude to the year or to certain tools of the year or to yourself or someone else. Just taking a few breaths here with each breath, breathing in the truth that you were supported. And now as you exhale, expressing any gratitude, you now can offer to the frequency of 2020. And knowing it's done, the gratitude has been received, and you can leave it here and you can continue on. You made it through, headed towards 2021. And 2021, the frequency of 2021, is like a big shady tree, and you're just letting yourself sit under the tree and sit in the shadow and touch a frequency from 2021 that may have left you feeling in the dark in some way, confused in some way, wondering in some way. Shining your light on the areas that felt shrouded or cloaked. And just letting anything that was repressed or hidden just fly away like birds. It's all been revealed, it's all been released. Truth is true and all is well. And as you breathe in here, just feel letting yourself feel some relief at something that you got through from 2021. Letting whatever needed to get set free has been set free, and you can let it go. And you can leave it in 2021 because you're here taking a moment to feel yourself here. You're just visiting, you're not back there. And now you're ready to walk into 2022. And 2022 wants to celebrate you. Maybe there's something really beautiful, kind, brave, hard, courageous, loving that happened in 2022 that maybe you didn't realize you needed to celebrate, or you deserved celebrating, or was worthy of celebration. And so you're going to picture 2022 as like a big dance floor. And you're going to look down, and there's like the tiniest little fragment from that year. And you're going to realize that this whole dance floor is to celebrate this tiny little moment that actually was so profound for you in your life. Maybe you can remember it, maybe you're just feeling it. Let yourself pick up that little fragment and hold it in your hands. And just tell the little piece this whole dance floor is to celebrate you. And feel the truth of that. And as you inhale here, place that little fragment back into your heart. Let yourself see some your version of celebrating 2022. And then say goodbye because there's many more celebrations that are in your future. And you can let this go and know that you are clear on 2022. And now around the corner is 2023. And 2023 held a special relationship. As we touch the frequency of 2023, letting yourself feel a relationship. Whatever comes up for you is right. And I want you to imagine that you were in the middle of a dance with this partner. Whatever type of partner it is, you were in this energetic, metaphorical dance. And you're ready to finish the last part of the dance. And so as you breathe in now, seeing yourself in a dance with some sort of partner in that year, someone who was a partner for you in that year. It doesn't have to be romantically, although it could be. And you're just going to see the final spin, the final turn, the final moments of the song. And you're going to look at the person and bow and thank them for that dance. Thank you for dancing through 2023 with me in that way. And then with love and gratitude and a sense of completion of that version of the dance, you might be dancing with them in other ways in other years. You let it go and you let it stay in 2023, and now we move to 2024. And you let yourself feel the possibilities. Letting yourself feel one possibility that opened for you in 2024. Bringing this energy through the spine, opening the spine, opening any tension in the back, feeling a new possibility. The heart is opening. Feeling something you opened to in 2024. Something that gave you hope. Something that gave you inspiration in 2024. And again, this is a situation where you've actually spiraled up and out. But this is just a moment to remember and thank this spark of hope and inspiration and creativity that opened for you in 2024. For you to recognize how much you've actually done with that inspiration. How much has actually moved since then? And that you can let it be bigger now than it was then. Permission to be bigger. Permission for it to be bigger. Breathing that in. Exhaling out and then letting yourself spiral into 2025. With all the energies you just traveled to, connected with, completed with. Letting it be a little darker, a little quieter. Take the next several breaths to recognize all the completions that laid at your feet in 2025. Almost like snakeskins. And then you're gonna, if you'd like to follow me into this image, you're just gonna let, you're just gonna let the snakeskins turn into something else, turn into starlight or star dust. And you're just going to send them out into the universe to be repurposed into another story, into another version, into the stars that light the way of a new beginning as all the completions turn into light. And then you're just going to turn around, seeing the completion of 25, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, and letting it turn into a beautiful spiral of light. And as we look into this beginning energy of 2026, letting that spiral of light become a beautiful glowing path that brings you into the next cycle. So the next breath, just breathing in that image, all of these completions have become a glowing path into the next cycle. They've created a very blessed direction that you are now following. And with the next breath, just breathing in the truth that you are here. And as you exhale out, knowing that whatever you needed to clear has been cleared. What has been released has been released. It is done. And what you needed to receive is with you now. You're here and you have it. And so just taking a moment to feel in your body that you are here now, you're very present. And we're just sending gratitude to the energy and to these years and to everything and anything that was a part of this incredible transformative cycle. And we know the work will continue beyond this time, and we're connected by heart to this path, to our own guidance, and for now we're breathing back into existence the door between worlds. And this meditation process is complete, and so it is. And now just taking a moment to touch your body, coming back into the body, allowing yourself a gentle transition, and perhaps letting yourself sit in silence, just with your own your own silence, your own energy for a few minutes before you move on from this process.
