Today we're going over all the Jordans set to drop this month in August, and honestly, it's a pretty solid month. First up, we have the Air Jordan 13 Flint Grays. Now these actually just came out yesterday. We're a little bit late on the upload, but it's okay. You know, today's Sunday. So I have this shoe. This is the old retro. Well not old retro, but like last retro. And then they just came out again. I haven't picked up the new pair yet, but I do plan on picking up the new pair and kind of switching them off. So give me your thoughts and impressions about these. We'll talk about it in a second.

This shoe is iconic in our group of folks. This was one of the ones we went down and got everybody some shoes. For sure. For sure. When this shoe came out, everybody got this shoe. Nieces, nephews, whoever was with me.

He literally went to the store, and whoever's with him, they got these. He was buying them for everybody. Everybody gets some. You know how like I got like everyone for all the ones. Sometimes there's certain models that I'm like, it's just taking up a lot of space. I don't need to have every version of it. I just need like the most recent one, and I'm cool with that. Right. This is one of those ones where I'm like, I don't need to get everyone. I haven't even gotten around to wearing this one. I wore my last pair before that. That was like 2010 or something like that. And yeah, you didn't wear these. I haven't worn these ones yet, so I'm probably gonna get rid of these, get the new pair, and then switch them out type situation. You know what I'm saying? Like do my reviews and everything, and then get rid of them. That's kind of where I'm at with it. But instant classic, instant grill, must have one of my favorite 13s of all time.

The color combination is so nasty on this. I mean, this is I know it's not a normal worn shoe, the black and color, you know, black and red and other color. But the color combination is so clean on here. Yeah, oh my god.

So I'm gonna see like if I can catch them on sale, what the situation is, we'll find out. But either way, I'll end up picking up.

Damn, that's wild. Um, okay. Well, if you didn't know by now, my name is DJ, and this is the DNA show. Okay, let's take it to the next shoe. We got rid of this one. Next up, right here, we have another Jordan 13. This is a part of the Wings program, so this is where they kind of have that scholarship program, they bring the kids in, they get them like into their system, and then they work with them throughout the years, and they come back and have alumni and all other stuff, and it's it's a dope program, right? So, with this, we've seen multiple models before with Jordan 12s and other models as well, and they make fun elements to the shoe. So, you see all the design aspect to the shoe. This is that on the back, this is on the bottom, this is on the bottom. Oh, okay. So, that's the side panel of the shoe. So, when you look at the shoe, you see this, right? It's all black marted out, and it's got some cool details. They got that branding on the inside of the sock liner, the different colors on the uh bottom of the shoe. And then there's no photos. Oh, I thought there was gonna be photos.

This material, yeah. What is that? That's kind of hard to see on this. Well, now the picture is bigger. Let me see. Right here, yeah. Oh, this is a jean material, kind of look like a denim style. Yeah, so you can actually take that entire thing off, you can cut it off, and that I see it got holes in it. That picture that you saw on the box is behind that on the shoe. So you I seen it on Instagram where people already was cutting it up and doing all the stuff. Um, but apparently it's not a photo. So I'll try to find a picture on Instagram as well. But that's the whole concept of it, you know, still doing that now. Again, some people say they're over that era of those things. You know how it's like the two shoes in one, you can like distress it or like cut something off and turn it into another shoe or whatever. We've been seeing that more and more over the years, not as much like 10 years ago, but now more in these past like five, seven years, especially. So I'm not mad at it, but it's like a convertible top, right?

Yeah, if you have a convertible, you can choose to take the top off or turn uh turn it on, make it go down. You get a hard top, you don't have no choice. But these shoes, at least you got a choice what you want to do with it.

Yeah, but once you go, you ain't going back. You ain't going back to rain in your shoes. I take the top off. Yeah, it's just staying off.

But it's just a choice. I think once you make that choice, it is what it is.

Yeah, I feel that. Okay, next up, right here, we have a it looks like mainly just kids in small toddlers, preschools, grade school sizing right here. So it's called play your way.

This is the Air Jordan 3, and it's a clean looking shoe. Okay, there's no way you're gonna put this shoe on a little kid and expect this shoe to stay clean.

That's the tough part. The kids' shoes should like always be dark. This is getting trashed.

Yeah, you know, if they're going to school in it, trashed. Yeah, but if it's like a day with the parents, you can control what they're doing. They out with you, now they're gonna look fly.

Yeah, yeah. Overall, this kind of like I don't know how to explain it. This looks like one of those like colorways that could have potentially been like a PE or something. Yeah, like some random like storyline to something, you know what I'm saying? Right, like it kind of got that vibe to it, but it's also like I don't know what this means in any capacity, like at all. It's just like you could throw any story, so they call it play your way, but like what does that mean when it says play your way?

You know what I'm saying? Now, I could be wrong because I don't read everything, but I think they need to explain more about the shoe, how they came up with the concept.

Well, that's the thing, like typically you can interpret the shoe um by things and elements on the shoe, like even the Jordan 13, right? It's all bite, but then you look in it says wings on the on the tongue, right? And you're like, okay, this is part of the wings program, you kind of see where it's going, you understand, like the different ones from the past and stuff, and then you see something like this, and you're like, I don't know, like where it came from, where it's going, what it means, like all stuff, and it's fun too. Like, not every shoe has to have a crazy story. This is a kid's drop, all the other stuff. So there's those elements too, but just the initial first impression that's what I always think of. Like, where does my mind go when I think of any shoe in a colorway and everything's like that? Next up, right here, we have this is funny because these trash ass shoes. This shoe right here was the shoe that a lot of people was hating on when it first came out, right? And y'all know I love my sixes, so when these came out, I was hyped about them. I got them. I also got the piston sixes, the Lakers sixes, those were trash, like those were for sure garbage. The the pistons were hot garbage. The Lakers, they was cool, but they was pretty ass. It was recycling, yeah. But these the Oreo sixes, this was one that I was hyping with.

But the Oreo six has always been like the shit.

But okay, so look, like I always said, it's kind of like a carmine, but it's not black and white version, more universal, be able to wear it with a lot of things, right? So for me, I had fell in love with it with the initial like upper color blocking element to it. Then they came out with like these other Oreo sixes, but they weren't the Oreo sixes, it was like different versions with the white, with the red, and the splattering stuff. It just wasn't like making any sense. I'm like, what are we doing here? So then we got news that these were gonna be retroin. So I still have my up there. There we go. Yeah, so I'll grab my pair. You tell them what you think about those.

No, I think this is one of the shoes a must-have. I think you should have it in your collection. I don't have it yet. I tried to get them before. They tried to knock me over the head at one of the sneaker cons. I still this is my pair from high school, and no, I didn't get it, so I still got them.

I wear them, you can see they're yellow, they dirty, and everything, but they're still clean though. But I tried to keep them clean over the years, and I like the shoe a lot. I'm excited about this one. Get a refresh, get an update, you know. These are still wearable. I wore these actually not that long ago, and good shoe overall. Again, it's not like it's not like a grail or anything like that, but I would say the tables have turned a lot from the original drop, you know, all the you get roasted and the negative, all the stuff that came with that, and then now everybody's like hyped about it coming back out and all this stuff. So there's certain like the Wolf Grey 5s and certain other shoes that's like coming back. It's like y'all wasn't really rocking it like that, like that.

But then But you gotta remember a lot of people always late to the party, yeah. And then they had a great time at the party. But I'm like, people was not rocking with the Oreo sixes like that, but they're we still in the era of bandwagon shit, yeah. So you take something we know that happened to several different shoes like that, yeah. And there's some shoes I say, oh let me see it in hand, okay. We wait on that. But there's some shoes that we personally had, and people go, I ain't that three years later, oh my god, right, you got that, right? It's like how'd you change?

Because by the time you get to 50k, and uh like their bags are gonna be different, they're not even gonna like I'm gonna I'm excited about especially all those people. So, okay, next up right here Black Patent Air Jordan 17 low. This one, I've seen photos online. Actually, let me see what you think first. I think this shoe is tight.

He's like now how they be winding up like no, this shoe clean, man. What's wrong with it? Okay, this shoe. I saw some photos online, and I'm like, it maybe it was the lighting or something, like with the outsole and everything. Kind of it was like too like bluish black. It's kind of weird, and I was like, is this a legit pair? I don't know. So I saw it and I was like, I don't know, maybe it's just the image or something that I seen. This image looks completely different than the image that I saw of somebody holding them in hand, right? Right. So I'm like, we're gonna see. Now, for me, when it comes to all these 17s that have been coming out, again, finding a 13 and a 14, struggle, struggle. The resale always high, they don't make that many pairs, retail's already high. I'm like, bro, I'm not dropping 550 on them, right? You know what I'm saying? Like, it's just not happening. So when it came to the lightnings, the UNCs, all that stuff, I'm like, I had all the original pairs. Now it's hard as hell to get these, and the people that was supposed to come through as a plug, they thought somebody else was coming through for me. Next thing you know, I didn't get the pair, and I'm like, But when they say that, why don't you just say I'll take two pairs?

It doesn't matter. I be trying not to do that. No, and then next thing you know, I end up with You don't have nothing. I know, so it is what it is. Biggest first if you think somebody else is coming through, just you take care of it for him, and then you ain't gotta think if somebody else was gonna do it.

I'm excited to see it based off of the photo that I saw. That's what made me like a little iffy, but overall, gonna be a dope one again with the patent leather. How are you gonna wear it? The creases, all the other stuff.

Like, it's just gonna No, it gives you that 11 vibe, but it's gonna be a whole the 17s crease completely different than the 11s. I know, but you can just wear it, be alright.

We got a lot of other stuff going on right now, so I've been trying to I've been missing out on shoes, man. I've been just busy doing too much. Okay, the China Rose Air Jordan 6 Low. This is a kid's colorway. What you think about these?

I think it's cute for kids.

Honestly, if this was a men's colorway, maybe the color blocking was just slightly tweaked a little bit on the bottom half, like instead of the light pink, it was maybe just white with the darker pink. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, that would be clean for like an adult's chain top version. Um, but this colorway is this this is smooth. I like how I got the rose on the front on the little dubre on the front too. Give a little accent hint. It's cool how they've been adding like other elements to the kids' pairs too, with the little charms and the keychains and all that stuff. Cause before it wasn't like that as much.

But I think kids will wear it more because of it.

Yeah. Also, the shape is like okay. I'm not mad at that too, because there's certain kids' shoes that just have never been good shape wise. They look like I'm square on the show. Yeah, they just look trash. Okay, this one is gonna have a lot of people hyped uh for the year. So this is the Free the Youth Air Jordan 16. So the shroud that goes on it flips inside out. That's the color with that. But inside the wings and everything. Yeah, you flip it inside out, put it on that way, and then the other way, it's like the just the chrome, like silvered out, everything. What you think about these?

I think it's crazy. It's weird looking, but I think it'll sell. I think it's like super futuristic. That's what I'm saying. It's almost like the Batman shoe, you know, like the thing over it and everything like that.

Turn it inside out. Some people saying sneaker of the year, we're hearing different conversations about that one. Again, it's gonna be limited, it's gonna be expensive, it's gonna be hard to find. A lot of people's gonna be mad. People that get it's gonna be happy. It's gonna check all them boxes, right? Which is gonna cause like conversation for that, and then it's tougher again a sneaker of the year conversation when a lot of people can't get their hands on it because then they go gravitate to something else, even though they wanted that thing. But how do you judge it? So they they're like, Well, this is better because more people could have it, and I'm like, I guess, but it's like is the sneaker itself the best shoe, not based off of how many people could have it, because technically it was still a release that came out to the public, it's not like a PE or a sample or something, right? So it should be qualified in that batch, just like the Dornberger 17. I still say that's sneaker of the year, still, but it's like they only made 10,000 pairs, not everybody gets their hands.

But I'm like, the Dornbaker 17 is crazy, but it came out to everybody, which is basically a similar like that's a purple 17 all over, like this is the same thing, silver all over with the uh 16 though, but these both could be in that conversation, top three at least. I could see that. Some people think they're hideous. I think they're great. I like them. I think it's dope. I want these, I gotta figure it out. When do these come out? I'm like, just look at the bio, it's a lot easier. Okay, oh, this is a women's shoe. I was wondering what this so you got the Air Jordan 3 Sports Renaissance. What are you thinking about this?

I know they've been doing the gangbanging colors. That's a tag. One shoe blue, one shoe red. They're like, we're gonna have both of the hoods pull up on this one. I don't know why they're doing that, but uh, I think it should just come out either one. I like both red or both blue. I like the blue more.

But the navy blue with the light blue.

Is they say you need to buy two pairs so you can get one of each?

Like, look at the look at the okay. Look at the left foot, look at the right foot. Right foot got the red on it. I think the blue on blue looks better.

But that red, it just looked weird to me.

The red on the back end, right there. I think it'd be in because the other red on the top is so much lighter, which is again. This is a light blue and a dark blue, and like a royal blue kind of on the back, but at the same time, it's blues, so you kind of all flowing together. But now you bring it.

That's weird how blues can do that.

Yeah, well, any colors, right? Yeah, but the reds not like that. Yeah, because those reds look just so far off. Yeah, and then especially like contrasting with the blue. Yeah, it's just how reds need to match. Yeah, so I saw these blues can be odd dolls. I saw these and I was like, they look like they're nice. Like, they look like they did a good job on the bottom.

I don't know. It's like a it's not even a it looks like some I don't know what that is.

Like I feel like they did a good job on the shoe all around. Yeah. Or they just use the wrong colors. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe there's I I never read all the stuff about the shoes. I just like to see how I feel about it and then go on. And if I don't know the story, they can check us in the comment section. Great. Alright, now this one. They didn't switch shit up. Boy, boy, boy. I need two pairs of these. This is the laser Air Jordan 3.
