Energy and Data Centers in Idaho with John Gannon

Matt Todd Episode 348

John Gannon is a District 17 Representative. He is extremely concerned about the growing power consumption in Idaho, especially considering the impact the Micro expansion and incoming data centers will have on Idaho Power. Idaho is growing in population, but it is also an attractive place for data centers which need cheap power, labor, and land. These centers also generally get extremely favorable deals with property taxes, stripping the surrounding area of much needed property tax relief. Enjoy!
